EJ Mower

Bought a blower there, less than a year old and it blew a valve, almost 3 months later and still not fixed, keep on getting told waiting for a new part, another 10 days and still nothing. Asked if I was going to get a new blower since it was taking forever to get the one fixed as a replacement and got told that never happens. Not impressed

I took my snowblower in to have it looked at as I had replaced the carburetter and spark plug myself. The service manager, Eric Told me that it was probably something small and I asked him how expensive it would be to fix. He told me that it would probably be less than $100 and would it be OK if it was under $100 for them to go ahead and fix it, and if it was going to be more expensive they would call me for authorization first. I told them that would be fine. They called me a week later to come in as it was fixed. When I arrived, they told me the bill was going to be $175, I explained I had been told that if it was going to be more than $100 that they had to get my authorization. They then told me that they had received authorization and so went ahead. I Asked who called for authorization as I had not talked to anybody. They told me that it was someone from head office. I asked how many offices they had in Alberta and where the head office was. They told me they were all over Alberta and that someone had called.at that point I was told that they had authorization from head office to go ahead and reduce the fee to $100 but they wanted me to know that they were losing money. It was just a terrible interaction with their staff who were clearly making it up as they went along. Will not be going back. Beware.

Will never buy from here again. I normally don’t like stihl but it was recommended by a friend, bought a chainsaw that they never started in store to then bring home and it not work the first day I needed it. Brought it in, they said it wasn’t a warranty issue and offered to fix it for so much money, we brought it in to a different store who looked at it and figured out that it was a warranty issue and got it fixed right away. Ever since the chainsaw has been a POS, today the chainsaw blade came completely off. Not sure if it’s still or EJ either way they both lost my business

Not sure how they've stayed in business this long. For me to write a negative review it needs to be obvious and a trend, both apply here. 3rd time taking in an aged but awesome john deere tractor, never returned with any degree of the repairs I've asked for complete. Just called to buy a simple part, the lack of knowledge by the team and relatively sloth like response by their people confirm nothing much has changed over a decade. I use equipment express now in cochrane, worth the painful extra drive time

Make sure when buying here that they run all your equipment before leaving the store. I was sold a broken chainsaw that wasn’t started before I left and didn’t start when I needed it. I took it back to be looked at and was told that the pre mix I used wrecked the cylinder and piston. So warranty will not cover it. Decided to get a second opinion and took my chainsaw to Alberta forest and garden where they actually discovered it was an air leak and will fix it under warranty. They are also replacing the piston and cylinder all on warranty. I will never buy anything here again!

Took our Craftsman lawn mower in for repair and was told it would take 2 weeks. We would call them and ask if the mower repair was done, never got a call from them to give us an update. Four weeks later it still was not done but told us we would get a 10% discount. When the repair was finally completed, they gave us 50% off of the labour.

Very good selection of garden care equipment and good service of lawn tractors. My tractor runs and cuts like new!

I had some repair concerns and Eric at EJ Mower was wonderful. Courteous, professional, honest and understanding! He went to bat to get my mower repaired on an expedited basis. I cannot say enough about how I was taken care of! Thank you!

Anyone else have this experience? Bring something in for repair, told it can't be repaired, get offered a $50 discount on a new tool, then see the same 'unrepairable' tool for sale a few weeks later? Take your repair business elsewhere. Posting for a friend.

Just reading the reviews and come to learn that EJ’s is not owned be the original ownership. To bad. But it answers a question about the decline in service levels.

As a female in a male dominated industry, staff members had the ability to demonstrate to me what I needed to know. I left with the confidence knowledge desired. Above and beyond expectations.

Went into Ej with the idea I needed a 2 stage snow blower. After discussing with Eric, he steered me toward a less expensive single stage for my needs. The machine works amazingly well, thanks Eric, you don't get this kind of sales knowledge at any big box stores.

Tried to buy a used snowblower from this place. Paid for it and took outside to try it out. Didn’t work! Was told I could wait for the needed repairs or get a refund. I needed a snow blower right away so chose the refund. Then was told that they couldn’t refund my money from their debit machine, would a e-transfer be ok? I agreed. Not having heard from them in almost a week! I had to drive back into Calgary to talk with someone at the store (no one answered my multiple calls to all the different dept) 40 mins later, a few phone calls to accounting, and I finally got my refund. This was a total waste of my time and gas! I will not be shopping here again or recommend them to anyone!
