El Toro Restaurant

Well, the service, food, and atmosphere were awesome. We came for breakfast this morning and returned for dinner this evening. Very good! Will be going back.

Amazing food flavours/prep and great value for our money! Excellent service by Pramod. It was so top notch; we came back for their steak the second day in a row:)
I'm usually a grumpy foodie that always finds something off, but they stumped me with perfection. Way to go guys! See you next year when we will be visiting Banff again (hopefully in warmer weather ;)

We have only eaten breakfast here but every time it has been delicious. Staff are amazing, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

We came to El Toro during a Canadian Rockies road trip. We had a steak dinner, fajitas, as well as a few appetizers. Everything was delicious, fresh, and well prepared! Excellent customer service as well (Thanks to our server Shaggy)! We highly recommend El Toro.

We tried out El Toro because of a recommendation. Apparently the breakfast was great. Unfortunately not the same experience for dinner. I had the lamb shoulder with potatoes and vegetables. Vegetables weren't cooked. Potatoes were reheated. The lamb was good. Pretty sure everything was cooked in butter - which if you weren't allergic to it would be fine. I specifically asked for oil instead of butter for the potatoes to be cooked in assuming stupidly that the chef would cook everything in oil if they knew there was an allergy and a substitute for something that had dairy in it (mashed potatoes).

Waitress was good - we were a big group. She gets 5 stars. We didn't ever have to wait for her.

Restaurant was freezing. I love that there were no TVs, or at least I don't remember seeing any.

Fajitas and beef tacos were excellent! Hot sauces had good flavours. Service was great! Highly recommend

Very nice atmosphere, good was good. I tried a sangria which was different but good! 2 years later and another wonderful dinner. Natalie looked after us and was so pleasant and even chatted with us on the street the next day when we were shopping. We looked at other places to have our dinner but went back to El Toro and we were not disappointed. See you again!

Customer service was excellent and all their dishes were very delicious and tasty. Very calm place to dine in and overall the prices are reasonable.

I was there for dinner on Nov. 24 2023. My main dish was a 10 ounce steak.
The chef must not know the difference between rare, medium rare or well
done. I ordered my steak medium rare. It came extra well done with
no seasoning what so ever. It looked good as the charring was excellent, but
not taste at all. Two bites and I left the rest.
Dessert was very good. The Caesar salad was awesome.
Just do not order the steak.

I love this restaurant! The decor is lovely, themed but understated. The service is impeccable; they are tremendously friendly and accommodating, and vigilant about making sure you have a wonderful experience. The bison chorizo sausage was amazing, perfectly cooked and the veggies were top notch.

Food was really good and service was amazing shaggy is the best and really good serving all the guest and he was really polite and friendly. Make sure that you keep him and he is the best asset of your restaurant (for the owner). And for sure we will be back and tell to all our friends as well.

Wow! Le service est impeccable et la nourriture est apprêtée de façon à être savourée avec les yeux et ensuite par les papilles! Je vous recommande comme digestif le Maple Whisky avec la mousse au chocolat, un pur délice pour les tous les sens

I visited for dinner with my partner and I must say the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The staffs were friendly, attentive and responds quickly. The food is average. I would recommend anyone visiting Banff to try it out.

Had a lovely time here with The Taste for adventure meal. Food was beautiful and our server Shaggy was great. He made sure my out dietary needs were covered and made sure the food worked for us. Highly recommend!

Honestly I was sceptical about this restaurant but, was I absolutely proven wrong! I have eaten over 1500 steaks in my life and chef PJ made the best steak I have ever eaten in my life. Each bite was better than the other. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone. Service was fantastic our waitress made sure we were never untended. 10/10
