Amazing falls just 40 mins from Calgary. Ample parking, washroom, picnic spots and the view is my goodness one of the best fall in Alberta. I have reviewed many falls in Alberta and this is still my favorite you will need the Kananaskis pass to access this area and its a blessing from nature. So serene place and the trails are great. Over all highly recommended check out the images and Follow for more.
Beautiful place for morning coffee, less people and you could enjoy it fully. It’s a gem close to the city, big parking lot with a nice trails. Love this spot.
I remember this was a nice peaceful place to visit… Now its too crowded, people smoking, dogs out of control, people dropping garbage, climbing over the fences for pictures and it’s not the same since the food.
Easy trail to view the falls, stroller friendly and handicap accessible if you go out and back. If you want to loop, there are stairs. You can walk right down to the Elbow river just before the falls. Trailhead is all the way at the end of the parking lot. Plenty of parking available on a weekday. Restrooms were decent.
These are some pretty beautiful waterfalls, not far from Calgary. They are very popular and get busy in the late morning and afternoon. Getting to the falls from the parking lot doesn't require too long of a walk. There are some short stairs that some people may find challenging.
I really enjoy to visit this place. It was the day when Facebook, Instagram and what'sapp were down about 6 hours I won't forget this Day. But for me it was cool
Love going to the falls! It’s near Calgary so not much of a drive. We secured an excellent spot for our bbq, right by the water and had a swell of a time with family and friends. Public washrooms are dirty as is the case in most of these places but that’s quite manageable.
Canada's outdoor is a picture perfect. Love this park. It's close to Calfary with plenty of parking and nice hiking trails.if you're visiting YYC this is one of the must see placed.
Nice drive from Calgary to the Bragg Creek area. Beautiful area and nice waterfall. Good parking and paths for different viewing. Remember there is now a charge to use Kananaskis Country. $15 a day per vehicle!
It was an easy little walk, but was a little bit busy and there were a few people doing some sketchy things to get pictures (reminder, people have died there and the rocks can be slippery)
Not very far from Calgary we took a scenic drive with the great Rockies ahead of us in view. This Falls is an absolute must see. With a cave just at the side, many people venture with canoes to conquer the rapids
Such an epic water fall, very beautiful. The pathway around the water fall is done very well, and there is a flight of stairs that takes you above the waterfalls, makes for a very beautiful photo-op. This is a must see for anyone who is able to.
I think the places is great the visit, it used to be a free place where people can come and enjoy the natural views and falls however the govt recently added a pass to visit this area which seem like they just want to take advantage of the people visiting and enjoying this since there is no additional facilities added after the pass was required so does not seem like they are investing that money back in the area.
Gorgeous place! The weather was a little chilly and the day started off cloudy/rainy so it was really not too busy! There were a couple park rangers who were very friendly and helpful! The pathway around the falls seemed well cared for and all the barriers were in perfect condition.
I definitely recommend stopping by for the view! There's also a pretty cool trail along the river that looked amazing but it was a little to dangerous to bring a baby on so we didn't do it.
On the outskirts of the Canadian rockies, thie beautiful place has a 400m trail for people to roam around and incredible rock sites for cool pictures. A lot of rocks on the "beach" so be sure to attempt at a rock tower if you can!
Beautiful scenic area with waterfalls only 1 hour from Calgary. The hike can be longer if you follow the trail beyond the fall. Amazing scenery through out.
Elbow Falls is a heavily trafficked hike that overlooks a small set of waterfalls along the Elbow River. There are some interesting lookouts along the route and it is a nice complement if your out mountain biking or hiking in the area.
