What a great team Dr Devon has put together. I have worked with and been treated by literally dozens of chiropractors and I appreciate how thorough they are here. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and since starting working with Dr Devon, my symptoms have improved. I was also in a car accident where a dump truck slammed into my sedan and I genuinely think that the care I'm getting here is important to my recovery.

There are MUCH better chiropractors out there. This guy has a huge ego problem and is extremely irritating and off putting to be around. He is insecure has inappropriate bedside manner. While this dr may be somewhat knowledgeable, he has new patients meet as a group to discuss why everyone needs to see a chiropractor. This was very uncomfortable and did not seem genuine to individual needs. Then a payment plan is brought up that you almost feel pressured into, with also a home package being sold to you. If you decline the payment option you are questioned and forced into giving a reason why.

A dr who wants to help should be more concerned about the patient and not how they are getting paid. The entire visit is very preachy and sales driven. A dr should never have clients meet as a group - very unprofessional.
There are much better chiro's in the city.

After suffering from chronic debilitating migraines and chronic neck pain I came to Elevate in March 2022. These guys are great and the team is awesome, I've had frequent back issues for many years due to bad vehicle accidents and years of abuse and neglect as a tradesperson. They work on instant and prolonged relief by finding the root cause of the problems and work on rehabilitation. Highly recommended!

Amazing! I had my first treatment today and already I feel a relief of pain on my lower back. I loved how he actually cracks the area that is needed to be re-adjusted.

I called because my daughter had a compressed nerve that was causing her intense pain. They booked her in right away and explained everything to her. She walked out feeling so much better. Dr. Lyons and the Elevate staff are top notch. In my first few appointments they have been very professional, knowledgeable and personable. With Dr. Lyons being up front and to the point, I feel there is hope in getting me back to normal again. We have made a game plan to get me back on track, and he has equipped me to do some home exercises to speed up the healing process. I look forward to getting back to normal, and will update my progress.

So excited to have started my journey to better health. I felt that my concerns and goals are respected here. So far I have noticed some major improvements and I am excited to see and feel the benefits of being a part of Elevate.

Everyone was nice and treatment went well, but I was a bit put off by the 'sales pitch' type of presentation. I understand that educational part of things, but I guess it's just a foreign experience for me.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

This is the absolute worst chiropractic clinic, and if this review makes even one person reconsider going here, then I will be happy!

I went here back in March/April 2022. I went in for my initial assessment and you are given a tour of their clinic. You are shown a picture of the two chiropractors on the wall at the entrance and told about them and their families - odd, almost cult like vibes.

Then you are taken for a SEMG test. Do your own research on the validity and reliability of the results that you get from this.
Next, they take x-rays. Again, do your research. I realise we are in Canada, but the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) states five recommendations, two of which are extremely relevant here:
“In the absence of red flags, do not obtain spinal imaging (X-rays) for patients. ”
“Do not perform repeat spinal imaging to monitor patients’ progress. ” – This is relevant later in my review.

Also, the College of Chiropractors of BC state “Routine or repeat X-rays used as a regular protocol during the evaluation and diagnosis of patients are not clinically justified”

For your next appointment, you come back to find out the results of your SEMG test and x-rays, and also to attend one of their “education sessions”.

I will talk about the “education session” first – it is 100% a sales pitch – Michael Hanson talks about a “pastor” that had neck problems and lived on the other side of the city. However, she persevered and kept coming back to see these chiropractors and now her neck is back to normal. To sum up the rest of the session - keep coming back even if you run out of benefits, Elevate can arrange a payment plan for you if required.

After this, you go to find out your results, which of course are going to say you have issues. I am genuinely skeptical that the x-rays shown to me were mine. I say this because I was told that I have a 9 degree curve in my spine, conveniently 1 degree below what would be classed as mild scoliosis. About a month after these “results”, I attended the University of Calgary sports medicine clinic for an appointment with a sports medicine doctor that also took x-rays along with an MRI of my spine. These were interpreted by a neuro radiologist and the report states: “alignment of the lumbar spine is normal”. The doctor did not see anything out of the ordinary either. Very odd those two medical doctors did not see the same issues as the chiropractors at Elevate.

I was told by Devon Lyons that I would need 33 appointments! Yes, that is not a typo. After one appointment, he could figure out that my issues could be fixed in 33 appointments. It is absolutely crazy to even suggest someone needs to come for that many appointments. I cannot remember exactly what the treatment plan was, but it was something like three time a week for three weeks, twice a week for a few more weeks, and then once a week for about fifteen weeks. In addition to this, there would be follow up x-rays (more $$$) which the ACA and the CofC BC advise against (see above).

Few, if any people would have benefits to cover that many appointments, so he suggested that if I paid $1,000 up front, that I would get a discount! HUGE RED FLAG! I declined, so then I was asked if I would like to leave my credit card number on file to be charged at the end of appointments because he said that payments are the “bottleneck” in their clinic.

Regretfully, I actually did go back to Elevate for a few appointments to which I saw zero improvement in my back pain. They have four rooms that they churn patients through for appointments. You are lucky if you get 4 minutes with the chiropractor. $50 for 4 minutes is a costly visit.

To sum up, avoid this place at all costs and go somewhere where they actually spend time with you each visit to address your issues, and actively try to get you to come back for less visits rather than more. Elevate Chiro just wants your money.

The chiropractors at Elevate Chiro genuinely care about you and your total health. They have a different approach to your healing journey that just makes sense. I really like that they have an xray machine in their office and use your xrays to show you your progress. I would recommend Elevate Chiro to everyone.

Friendly staff, clean and very modern space. I like that as a client it is my responsibility to clean the room up after I leave. If I feel uncomfortable that the table hasn’t been cleaned, everything I need to give it a once over myself is there - I like that. Self check-in is great. Doctors explain everything clearly and answer any questions you have. Very glad I found this place.

Such an amazing team and Dr. Lyons is great at what he does aligning the spine to let your motherboard communicate with the whole nervous system that’s encased in your spine.

This was the biggest scam of a chiropractics in Calgary. It feels like more of time share sales pitch then chiro. I have been to chiropractics before I came here and think they honestly can help. Then here they try to max out your benefits for "treatment" and make you watch a sales pitch movie. If they want to maximize your benefits before you have had treatments then they want the money and do not care about your health.
This also leads to hire insurance premiums for everyone else.

Be cautious of being put in for x-rays. X rays are not ment to be done all the time on the body.

Well just started going there but I have been broken a long time and this is the first time in years of many chiro appointments I feel there could be hope for me to get back to normal! Fingers and everything else crossed I think this place could finally write the script untold! So far many thanks and the couple times I have been there I have felt like I was someone they have known for years very pleasant!

Great chiropractor! Does an extremely thorough exam prior to making any adjustments. He goes over all the results with you ahead, ensuring you understand what treatments are going to be made, and what the costs will entail - so there are no surprises. He provides you with a set of at home exercises to be completed daily, in order to achieve the most from your treatments/adjustments. Clinic provides multiple information sessions about a different array of topics, designed to improve your overall Health, and bring you closer to optimal health. Busy place at times, but never have to wait long for your appointment. It just goes to show that many people agree and love the work that is being done here! Highly recommend this clinic!

First time to ever see a Chiropractor in our entire lives. My husband and I were having chronic headaches and body pains for the longest time and after running several tests on us, Dr Lyons explicitly explained how the curvature of our spines can significantly affect the symptoms we were experiencing. I was personally nervous during the adjustment but he walked us through the process and made it a really smooth experience. Now my husband and I are so looking forward for the next sessions. I tried Everything including other chiropractors and then I stumbled upon Dr. Lyons at Elevation Family Chiropratic. My first time to come for consultation this morning and I was impressed right away. Very accommodating from the staff in the reception desk (sorry I forgot her name) up to Dr. Lyons. They explained to me what they're going to do and how they're going to review my present pain condition. This is the 3rd time to see a Chiropractor however, from the last 2 Chiropractors they did not do any scanning on my back to show what locations are need to be checked and the x-rays. With Dr. Lyons he showed me the result of scan with different colors to show where are the main concerns. Thanks so much.

I began seeing Dr. Lyons in December 2018. This was the first time I had ever seen a chiropractor. Having had migraines for the past 10+ years trying many different approaches, SI pain for the past 2, as well as a chronic bronchitis cough that has been frequent since I was a small child that would show up every month along with any time I ever got even a minor cold. After approx 4 months now, I have had only 1-2 migraines, no SI pain or irritation whatsoever, not to mention that I have not have my bronchitis cough show up since early January! That is amazing for me as mentioned prior that this was something I have struggled with for as long as I can even remember! In addition, I am feeling more energetic throughout my day, as well and experiencing a more regular sleep schedule with little to no waking throughout the night. Dr. Lyons approach is very unique and extremely understanding to each individuals needs and body as well as making sure that you understand your body and how it is truly designed to heal!
