Elevation Place

Last time we will visit here. Always would stop by after a day in the mountains. Not anymore. Long wait to get into a half full not very hot, hot tub. Then the waterslide is closed and they have taken out all the fun kids activities away (basketball net). The place was empty and everyone is standing in line for a hot tub that is empty. Crazy. Whoever is making decisions here needs to go. Thought last visit was a one-off. Apparently not.

I had a fantastic experience at this facility. The staff was exceptionally friendly, ensuring that every visitor felt welcome and comfortable. The amenities were top-notch: the steam room provided a relaxing, warm ambiance; the hot tub's strong jets offered a rejuvenating soak; floating along the lazy river was a serene experience; and the blow-up obstacle course added a playful and adventurous element to the visit. Each feature was well-maintained and enhanced the overall enjoyment of my time there. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a blend of relaxation and fun.

The location is excellent. The gym is small with a limited number of machines. But from the halls there is a beautiful view of the pool. The pool has a lot of equipment to keep children busy with games. There is a small pool with warm water and hydromassage from which there is a beautiful view of the mountains. There is a wet sauna, but it is weak. What overshadows everything is the rare cases of fecal incontinence among visitors. In my presence, they closed the pool twice for disinfection.

Great place for a cold or wet day! Climbing, boulders, coffee shop, library, pool, kids pool, hot tube, steam room, gym.i would just say that the pool area have a lot of trouble staying open all the time, just check before going over there!

Great pool, hot tub and sauna. Has a gym and rock climbing wall too. Bring loonies for the lockers. Can get very busy on weekends or holidays. It's a shame the pool gets closed for entended periods of time for repairs every year.

Highly recommended for families. The pool facility is amazing! Both the kids area which has a “slow river” (first for me), basketball in the water, bucket that drops a ton of water on you and other fun activities.

The bigger pool has plenty of fun floaty toys which the kids loved! They also allow kids to jump at the deep area of the pool (2.5m, ~7ft).

The showers were very convenient with free lockers (you put a dollar coin that you get back when you unlock). There’s also a family option which is big and roomy.

Probably the best pool we’ve been to. Highly recommended for a rainy day in the summer (which is what we had), or any day…

Awesome rec centre in Canmore. There is a pool, climbing gym and much more. Costs only $36 for a family with 2 adults to enter the facilities.

If you want to go to the climbing gym, it's an extra $6 for a harness. You can use the auto belay system if you don't take the training. Or you can skip the rental and just do the bouldering.

Elevation place also has a public library and cafe.

Solid climbing gym, with friendly staff. As beginners, though, we definitely struggled a bit, even with some of the "easy" boulders

Absolutely beautiful scenery surrounding a great facility. Fitness and cardio rooms, swimming pools, climbing area, great personnel. A must-go if you want to practice sports in one of the fittest towns on earth.

Very nice facility to bring the family to. The climbing is awesome and they are careful to walk you through using it safely before sending you on your way to go climb. The pool was mediocre but still good to use, and nice and clean. There is no deep end where you are allowed to do any proper diving, but the lazy river is nice and the hot tub is nice and large.

A stunningly beautiful facility. I only went in for a quick swim. Locker rooms were clean, well-appointed with mirrors and plugs, vanity counters Pool has beautifully clean water and was not busy. The view out the window is amazing! I had a lane to myself.

Great in door options for rainy, cooler/cold days or a change of scenery and pace from outdoors. Clean and safe. Got a membership and worth it.

Include rock climbing, swimming pool, library, storytelling for kids, and art gallery, etc. Nice and pretty place!

Unreal rec centre. Has everything you might need in town - climbing, gym, pool, sauna, library, cafe, lots of space to hangout.

Clean, very well maintained. Perfect for family swimming. Rock climbing all skill levels and all ages. Amazing staff very professional in all areas of the building.coffee shop in the lobby for a perfect start or end to your workout. The gym had 3 main rooms all equipment was clean nothing broken. Highly recommend it!

Loved the aquatic center. Really clean and great set up. Lots of fun floaties to play with in the lap pool and the lazy river and water slide are fun. It would be nice if they allowed toddlers to ride on parents lap on the water slide. Disappointing that they don't allow it like other aquatic places in the bigger cities. The climbing wall is amazing but not that kid friendly. It seems you have to bring someone to belay for you. The library is awesome. Great selection of books for kids and adults.

Fun place. We love to go to the pool and hot tub as long as it's open. It's always a gamble though. They would get 5 stars if they didn't disappoint so much with closures so often.

As tourists in town for a hockey tournament, we visited Elevation Place in between games with the intention to take our kiddos swimming. The facility itself is beautiful and it's design incorporates important accessibility features like automatically doors, ramps, and elevators.
The front desk staff were very friendly and made time to talk us through the amenities available. We didn't feel rushed, rather we felt welcomed and like important guests.
We were disappointed because there was a waiting list to enter the pool with 66 people/groups ahead of us. To gain access to the waiting list, you have to prepay and sign up for their text message service (your payment can be refunded if you decide to leave before getting into the pool). We decided not to pay and instead went upstairs to the modest soft play structure that overlooks the GORGEOUS pool. We spent a good 30-45 minutes climbing and sliding before heading off for lunch.
I would absolutely recommend pre-planning a trip to the pool so you don't miss out: there is an inflatable obstical course, lazy river, spray park, and waterslide: something for everyone. However, because there is no guarantee that you will get into the swimming pool due to volume, you will have to plan ahead and is the sole reason for the 4/5 star rating.
