Such a worst registry office with a rude ladies everyone, I felt like am talking to devil never ever visit in my life again this location registry office. Officer has to take some necessary action at earliest

Tried to registered my new vehicle and the said they can't do it, and I need be present with my spouse. Finally I was send out. But other registry did it without any questions. Such a horrible service. I don't recommend this location.

No matter what my registry requirements my needs are taken care of expediently, professionally, and knowledgably. Glad to have this registry close to where we live.

Registry staff is really so rude. I went to them for changing my Driver’s license but they denied that they don't do it as there was one Phillipines guy I went to him as he denied to me after he went to one lady as he told my condition to her
. When I went to her shd said as well that we dont do it really. What’s this really. Not even deserve any star

Good customer service. In and out in 5 minutes. Went to convert my license from
Ontario.

This is the worst Registry I have been to.
If you want to be yelled at and treated un-professionally by a skinny blond hair,
Wrinkly face woman that works behind the counter and especially an Asian-looking male who described himself as a supervisor by the name of Iven, you can go to that place.

If you are the owner and you are reading this review.
This supervisor needs help with customer service and perhaps anger management and by doing so you will have a smooth registry where customers will be happy to come in and do business with you.

I wish I could put a negative review. I went in with a vehicle VIN number to ask if the vehicle was registered in the system, so I would know if I needed an inspection or not before registering the vehicle. The person said they could not provide that information unless I had a proof of ownership and it would cost $25.00. I explained I didn't want a history of the vehicle but only if it was previously registered in Alberta and in the system. He insisted I had to provide proof of ownership and $25.00. He was totally wrong, as I told him. I have done this numerous times at other registries. I went to a registry a short distance away and got my answer right away for no charge. He claimed to be the manager. I really hope he is not as he has no idea what he was doing. I will never return there.

I don't understand why almost all reviews are bad.
I was there on June 28, I was served by a very friendly gentleman, despite the fact that my English is not very good, he provided me with all the information I needed.
And in general, the entire staff is very polite and greets everyone with a smile.

Worst experience ever. The Asian guy is extremely rude, told me basically to go *** myself.

The worst customer service I have ever seen.
I went there to ask some questions as a newcomer to go on process of my driving license and the Asian man there didn't even look at my documents and answered my questions as rudest and fastest as he could I never come back there even though it's so close to me.

I didn't read the comments before going to this location. I moved from Ontario, so I went there to change my license (g1 to class 7). I have no idea about the process. The lady I went to was not helpful and after I did the change, my friend told me that i could have chose how many years i wanted for my class 7 which she didn't let me know, so she charged me for 5 years. Why would she assume i wanted 5 years, clearly its all about the money for them. If you are new to Alberta don't go hto this location because they are not helpful and apparently the are not knowledgeable.

Tried to register my 90 year old mother for Alberta Afforability Plan payments. Was unable to do so without valid photo ID. They neglected to tell us Registries were able to generate valid photo ID. They were very rude!

Very rude behaviour of an employee who was working there, he didn’t answered me properly instead he angrily reapplied to my question. Unacceptable!

Horrible experience with staff. Left angry and upset. My father passed away and the registration was under his name. The staff did not care and gave attitude towards me and my mom. Told my mom she can not renew the registration as my dad name is on registration. Showed proof that my mom had ownership of car too. The staff did not care. Will never come back. Lack of empathy.

This location is very rude and has a very rude asian man working there. Sad part is he might be the manager at this location. Learn some people skills and be polite to your customers. Because of the attitude of this person and him being rudeperson, I will not come back here again. You wait a long time in line up for a rude service. No thanks! I'm not going here again.

The guy behind the counter was incredibly rude and unfriendly. He shouldn't work in a customer facing position. Now I read the reviews and I see it's not just me

I didn’t read any review before calling. And after my call I was just like: how rude, only for me find out I wasn’t the only one. 2023 guys, and still true, the person I spoke to on the phone was not friendly at all and wanted to just get rid of me. She hung up before I was done talking. SMH

I renewed my license here and it did not get delivered. So then I call the Alberta agency about it and they say they’ll make a note on my profile to get the next one expedited since I needed it quickly. They estimated that it would be around 7 days. They also said someone needed to be around to sign for it so they said I could get it sent to the registry. So I get it sent to this registry. I asked the guy 3 TIMES, if everything was in order to receive it at this registry and that it would he expedited and he seemed to brush me off (that’s why I asked so many times, just to make absolute sure that it would be delivered to this registry because I needed it badly). So where does my new license end up? Out in the place I asked them not to send it I hate when people work in customer service and get fed up with customers double checking things. I understand that people make mistakes and so I always double check on my end, but what frustrates me is getting blown off for doing so when I am polite.

Would rate zero if I could, the Asian guy booking drivers test on Saturday morning is so rude. How are we this desperate for labour in Alberta? Don't work in service if you don't want to, making it look bad for all the rest of us. What a disgrace.

I avoid doing business with this registry even i leave closeby. I'd rather go somewhere else. You still get your stuff done here but i just cannot stand the unpleasantry at the front desk. Show some courteousness. I see reviews they do experienced the same feeling.

The worst registry you can deal with. The employee made me come back 3 times in the same day just because she had a not giving me the right info from the beginning. The worst service ever.

Brutal registry with 0 accountability! No license received in the mail! Paid every fee they give you to change address etc.and no matter how many times you call in the first 2 months they tell you to wait and then after 2 months they tell you to come in and pay again! They say “the government assumes you lost your license” rather than having accountability and admitting they never sent it in the first place.avoid this registry at all costs!

Rude male employee working here. Always very defensive and he always wants to argue. Today he let me know that their camera broke so he's not able to take my picture for the license. I was frustrated about it but didnt say anything and he was like. "its not my fault ok! " Nobody said anything about it being anybody's fault.

Rosalyn (I hope I spelled her name right) is very calm and nice. She helped me with my registration and was very efficient. This has been my best experience in any registry since I came to Alberta. Thank you so much Rose.

Horrible customer service, a registry run by heartless humans, seriously lacking in compassion and decency. The most unhelpful staff I have ever seen. I will never go back. If I could give 0 or negative stars I would.

Terrible experience mostly. The asian (Chinese) looking fellas on the counter are rude and man they need to learn to respect customers. This is NOT China.

I took my class5 road test with examiner Vipin last sept6,2018. He was very nice to me and has a very clear voice in giving instructions. He did'nt make me feel nervous at all. He is fair in giving grades based on your driving performance, not because of your nationality. Thanks Vipin.

My senior citizen family member went to get his drivers license. People are rude and see as if they are doing a huge favour to you. The summerside registry is much better than this place

Like every other real review on here this place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Go to the Windermere location if you want a good experience.

I had the same experience with rudeness that other reviews have mentioned. I've personally witnessed the male clerk working here be very rude to others, but had not had the misfortune of experiencing it first hand until today. He refused to help me until I provided paperwork that no other registry has requested before.
Rather than arguing with him, I just went down the street to Windermere Registry and received wonderful service. I won't return to this Ellerslie location ever again.

Horrible customer service. Staff are rude and have zero knowledge about their jobs. Ridiculous. Now I know why this place only had 2.7 stars. Called a different registry who walked me through the process and helped me solve my issue. Learn how to be professional. HORRIBLE LOCATION DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Went there for my class 5 road test. The examiner was really kind and relaxed. After when I went to get my licence picture updated the lady at the desk was happy for me passing and we had a pleasant interaction. Would recomend

I can not even begin to describe his rude they are. Wanted to change my last name on my drivers license to married name and of course had copies of all necessary papers with me, as what I was told on the phone. Only to arrive and be told I needed to bring the ORIGINAL marriage license. Which is unheard of, other places have told me copies are fine. Next, the guy yelled at me and me look stupid for not bringing it. Anyways I returned with the original only to be told I also needed to bring my birth certificate. What? ! That was never required in the instructions I’ve read. This place is good for nothing.

I went in to register a new vehicle with all of the relevant forms. The person at the counter said I needed the original copy. I showed him the original copy, he said he couldn't accept it, and then he literally just walked away. No explanations of what was wrong, or what needed to be done differently. Incredibly rude and unprofessional.

TERRIBLE AND RUDE customer service! Went in with a couple of relatives for a road test, arrived there 30 minutes early with all proper paperwork provided by the checklist that was e-mailed upon booking road test. Clerk took paperwork and told us to wait, then examiner came out 5 minutes before the scheduled road test to let us know that he wasn't able to move forward with the road test as Alberta Transportation states Registration & Insurance must have the same names on both documents (registration has 2 names, insurance has primary driver name only). No rental vehicles available, and examiner only gave us a 10 minute window to make arrangements to have another family member bring their vehicle (which they obviously weren't able to make it on time even though they were on the way). Completely understandable that this is the AB transportation rules, however, the registry staff including the manager Benny were not helpful nor were they willing to help us out, completely shut us down, have to reschedule road test & pay another fee. I called another registration that I've previously dealt with that provided me amazing service - clerk confirmed that it is their due diligence at their registry to have the clerks double check the paperwork before it is given to examiner to give customer time to make any necessary adjustments/arrangements, I wish this registry did the same. I very seldom leave reviews but I was extremely disappointed that this was the customer service they provided. I don't recommend going here for ANY registry services, you are better off going somewhere else because they will find some way to screw you over; clearly we weren't the only customers who experienced the rudeness & unprofessionalism.

I found the lady at the desk very friendly and patient. Not a busy place, so I didn't need to wait. Would go here again.

Multiple times I've been here the staff have been real muppets, unbending and unreasonably stern, so when I was rejected to register a vehicle this last visit for some minutiae I went to Windermere registries and they did it without question and thought Ellerslie staff were out of their minds for not processing it. Go to Windemere, I think they're treated better and it shows.

I went there, everything was going good and the examiner start talking and telling stories he never stop talking, in the end he fail me making stories up, its the guy from India with big beard, I have driver license from Europe, New york and here and i drive for 15 years. He will fail you no matter of what. If you have him Im sorry but you have to be Indian to pass it otherwise wise no.

Very professional, clean, and fast. I have been visiting for years for personal and business needs. The staff is always polite and accommodating. The best thing is I have never waited.

Very bad service, don’t recommend anyone. Specially don’t go to this if you are giving road test. Very bad examiners, they try to fail you always even if you do everything right. They say silly reasons even you do everything well like didn’t do shoulder check, you turned on signal too early and they will fail. Don’t go to this place!
