Second post: two days later we discover we were prescribed the antibiotic that is a KNOWN ALLERGY that I asked Dr Oni to not prescribe. Maybe if he slowed down and listened we wouldn’t have been giving my daughter something that’s made her sicker. LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS.

Original post: I took my two kids in today for a walk in appointment I’d booked on the phone a few hours earlier. While I didn’t find anyone blatantly rude (as expressed in other comments) no one took a single moment to actually pay attention to you or what was going on. It’s like everyone is in such a hurry they don’t pause to listen, they speak quickly, and seem impatient. Multiple times nurses who had already helped me asked who we were…. And when the dr came in one hour later than my appointment time he didn’t even look at us - muttered off some questions, told me some test results, handed me a prescription, and literally ran out the door. If they’d just slow down and actually pay attention they’d gain so much! Also the clinic is NOT stroller friendly.

GO TO ANOTHER HEALTH CARE CENTRE, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU
Made an appointment and they took me in the room within 10 minutes of being here. Hour and a half later and no one came into the room, so I left. My buddy that drove me said cars were arriving and leaving the whole time I was in the room. Especially since this was after my appointment they cancelled and I had to reschedule for another one…

The Doctor - I’ve been seeing Dr Park for nearly a year, she has always been a pleasure to see, she has really been the first medical professional who has taken me seriously when I try to advocate for myself.

The clinic itself - Having an appointment at this clinic is highly recommended as the waiting room is quite small, as well as the parking lot at their new location. Additionally, it can take quite a while to get anyone on the phone.

Wait times are insane, they consult with you for less then 2 minutes, don’t even tell you what you have going on and simply send you on your way.can’t even call this people without being put on hold for long amounts of times either

Doctor spends 5 minutes won’t answer questions. Wait times can be really bad but would not mind if the Doctor spent enough time to actually help.

Had to wait almost 2 hours for a 5 minute procedure, i understand that walk-ins take time but wow.the Dr left halfway thru it to help someone else and came back 12 mins later

Amazing. Took my 2 y/o daughter with swollen foot. Doctor was quick and efficient. Got prescription and was gone within reasonable time.

Useless. This was the final straw after having similar experiences every single time with this clinic. Waited an hour past my appointment time, nobody could see me. No respect for people's time. Finding a different clinic.

After my initial consultation to garner a new GP here in Sherwood Park for my family the Dr wanted full physical for my husband including prostate. Myself for full physical and pap. With my husband she basically whispered prostate exam which is only bloodwork nowadays and only said it once. When it came to my turn she literally announced Pap 10 times in under 2 minutes. Directly to the very busy and crowded waiting room.

A couple days before my appointment I was called and left a voicemail that informed me. Well told me actually they were pushing my appointment back an hour. That didn’t work for me but forget about getting thru to reschedule. I was left on hold repeatedly for 30+ minutes and just hung up on. So I arranged transport for my son to be picked up from school and attended for my appointment with 10 minutes to spare. I was left to wait in the main waiting room for an hour. Considering the sensitive nature of part of my appointment I no longer felt comfortable allowing a place that couldn’t even manage an appointment touch me. As well time is valuable. I had other things I had to do then sit in a waiting room all day. So I left. I’d rather drive thru construction season in Edmonton LRT area to see my original GP than ever attend this clinic again.

The reception staff is demeaning, ignorant and rude. You’re in the medical profession have some respect for yourself so in turn you can respect others. Especially with ALL sensitive medical procedures and issues. To each relative individual. Learn some empathy and compassion for people. I really don’t know what died so badly in all your souls to make you incapable of kindness but you should have that “looked at”

Charged $50 for a doctors note. Cash only so had to drive to a bank and back. Receptionists were short and boredline rude. Doctor was friendly enough, and asked if the hospital prescribed pain management for my broken hand. Told her no and that it was painful, but was surprised to find that she didn't actually prescribe anything.

I phoned into the clinic wanting to book an appointment. After the first couple times of repeating myself on the phone I soon realized the receptionist was not actually listening to me. I then proceeded to ask her name and she hung the phone up on me. I was at no point rude in my conversation, and when asked to repeat what I was saying I gladly obliged. I am absolutely appalled by the way I was treated and the fact that this is the representative of the company is horrible. I will be reporting her to my Doctor. She had a thick accent and didn't speak English very well.

We had to find a walk in for an ear infection and wanted to get in asap, we called and were told there was only two be other person ahead of us, so we could get in relatively quickly. The staff were friendly, the wait was not terrible (other clinics were at 4.5 hour waits within ten minutes of open to give context) and our nurse practitioner used a comprehensive approach. We were happy and felt heard and taken care of. I would recommend this place but with the caveat that wait times are crazy everywhere and that sometimes the staff can’t control that.

I'm very happy with the care and attention I receive from NP Tara Hoffman. She always listens to my issues and gives great solutions.

Called on a Friday to insure a class 1 medical could be done on a Sunday. They said yes and come in as a walk.
Arrived and they said no doctors available and they can't do it. Very poor service and misinformation. Maybe glad I didn't get it as if this is the quality of the staff pretty sure the doctors there are shyte as well.
Edit: They also charge $125 for the medical while all other places only $80. So best to skip this clinic for better ones.

Friendly staff! Easy to make an appointment are the good things. Unfortunately appointment times mean nothing, long waits, and when you do finally see a doctor there (maybe just the one i saw) you only get maybe 2 minutes with them before they rush you out. Told me to take home and fill out a small form, which takes probably takes 30 seconds, and come back next week. Took time off work, and drove out of my way to get nothing accomplished. Theres no personal interaction and no feeling of actual help. Its not the first time this has happened there either. Hard to find a decent place to get into anywhere it seems.

Called in to see if they were still accepting walk-ins as my husband was in a car accident 2 days ago and needed to see a doctor they said yes but to come soon so I let them know I will send my husband in right away he will be there within 15 minutes, he was there well before 15 minutes and they denied him at the desk. Said they were no longer accepting walk ins. I called and asked why they turned my husband away when they told me to send him and the lady literally said we are not taking walk ins anymore today your husband should have said that you called. My husband was still in the parking lot and they still would not see him. The front desk would repeatedly place me on hold while sitting doing absolutely nothing (my husband went back in and witnessed it) then picked up the phone and hung up. This place is a joke and does not care about the well being of people in need of care. Stay faaaaaaar away

Horrible wait times even with an appointment, have waited almost an hour every single time. Doctor doesn’t listen to me just rushes through whatever he wants to say then leaves the room. Can’t even get a simple Pap test in a timely manner, because who doesn’t want to sit half naked for 30+ minutes. Staff act nice with a very disrespectful and rude undertone.

Highly recommend Dr Tara Hoffman. My son and I both were lucky enough to get her as our dr yesterday. She was so great and thorough at her job. Explained everything so well and Took her time to make sure we understood. She created both of us a treatment plan as opposed to just prescribing medicine. She was an absolute breath of fresh air.

Tara Hoffman, NP is excellent. She gives compassionate care and listens to her patients' concerns. Thank you so much!

I really want to give them zero. No service at all. Very angry receptionist.
I was on hold for 30mins. So I was so annoyed but receptionist first response was more annoyed. First thing she said how long did you even wait? She was not yelling but her attitude toward me was enough said. You should hire more nice receptionist. Every time I called in it was nothing but disappointed.

This is the worst medical clinic! We went for simple check about the blood pressure and we had to wait 4,1/2 hours for that! And also on front of us was 5 people. What they are doing that is unprofessional.

Don’t believe anything the front desk says. They will say 2 hour wait, double that. Needs new management

Went in for one reason, came out with an answer for something completely unrelated to the reason I was there. 3 other doctors, multiple tests/ exams and months of waiting in between they couldn't figure it out and after a 10 minute conversation with Dr baleed, he knew immediately what it was. I had given up on finding an answer prior to this.

Go somewhere else! The staff are incredibly rude. I called about a walk in appointment, walked in and checked in with the lady at the front. Waited over an hr for them to realize they didn’t even register me in. They were extremely rude about it and told me it was my fault. After they registered me they told me I had missed appointments and that I had to pay 50$. But they weren’t my appointments! I wasn’t even living in Sherwood park! I lived 2 hrs away. I wasn’t going to pay for appointments I didn’t book. So they refused to let me see a doctor. This place is a joke, clearly unorganized. What a waste of time.

I have yet to have a bad experience! It is such a breath of fresh air to have friendly staff on the phone, when you walk through the door and have a Dr that always shows care and compassion. Huge rave to Dr Priya Sebastian!

Terrible service. Tried calling them at 9am to book an appointment, they told me I can’t. So I drove into town to put my name on the list. They said it would be 45-1hour wait. I sat in my car for just over 2 hours. They called me to only bring me into the waiting lounge for another 45 mins saying I was up next but I watch 4 other people get taken in. Get brought into a room to wait another hour. Horrible process. They load up the waiting rooms, then load up all the doctor offices. Needs new management asap

Receptionists were very rude and seemed irritated when I walked in. Didn’t even ask how they could help me. I had to start the conversation. Another mom was coming in as well and they were treating her as if she was stupid. The more I sat there the receptionist just treated everyone as though they were irritated they were coming in. Super unprofessional…I’ll never come back here because of the reception.

Horrible staff, asked for my papers to be transferred to another doctor. Yet they claim to Say I have outstanding bills from previous letters. Then refused to transfer my medical records. Will never Visit AGAIN

Booked an appointment a week in advance to review results (after a month of having them done) and was told they did not have all of them and to go elsewhere or come back. Could have saved me a trip, or spent the extra few minutes to gather before my visit. Not at all professional, respectful, or concerned with my health. I know one is to be in charge of their own health care, but this place adds extra obstacles in the path to healing or feeling better.

The front end staff is so rude and unorganized. I went to the doc to get an inhaler and a week later got a call about my swab test results. I never got a swab, turns out they used my info and swabbed a different patient. When I told them this wasn't ok, the receptionist told me to ignore it and its not a big deal. I will not being going back, and will be filing a complaint.

Big thanks to receptionist for getting my very suck husband into the clinic, after waiting 5 hours in ER with know chance if getting in. Dr Oni, was quick to send him for xray and blood work and next day appointment. Thanks your all the best!

Called 4 or 5 different medi centers trying to get my little boy in to see a doctor. After getting the run around from all of them either not taking walk-ins or blaming Covid for symptoms (he tested negative), my friend recommended this one. I called, made an appointment for the same day, and got in. Receptionists are super nice, and the Doctor who looked at him actually listened to me, and was willing to work with my son, who doesn't like doctors at all, and is autistic.
We did have to wait a bit after our appointment time because they were really busy, but overall happy with them and will be returning.

EXCEPTIONAL HEALTHCARE!

I have been going to this clinic for quite a while now with multiple issues over that time. I can honestly say that I've never felt more comfortable at any other physician's office. The ladies at the front are wonderful. They're personable, efficient and just always on their game. So are the doctors. My N. P.in particular, Priya Sebastian, is by far the best physician I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. She never makes me feel judged and I can tell she genuinely wants to help her patients. I can tell it's important to her. She's extremely knowledgeable, as are the other physicians at this clinic. I truly cannot say enough good things. I highly recommend you just go and see for yourself! You can either book an appointment (best way) or be seen as a walk-in. You'll be in very good hands.

I went in because I injured my toe and figured I needed the toenail removed.they told me that the dr that was there didn't do toenails and sent me away without even looking told me to go to the hospital.i dont need to take up a spot in the emergency when it's not emergent. I went to the medi center and they removed the toenail and I was on my way

This clinic is amazing. My family and I have been seeing Preya for the last year and have never been disappointed in her medical care. She is easy to talk to, compassionate, caring, hardworking and extremely intelligent. When you book an appt, you are seen promptly and never long wait times. The front staff is always very accommodating. So glad we found preya!

Dr. Mygamar is the best. 3 years ago when I was in ICU in Fort McMurray my wife called her. She called back explained everything to my wife. My aftercare has been amazing. Would have given 5 star rating but the front desk staff are iffy at best.

So professional and clean! They always do their best with wait times even when dealing with a high volume of people. Love that I can walk in or make an appointment. Will definitely be coming here any time I need to be seen by a doctor.

I have been coming here for just over 3 months now and seeing dr.priya sebation, she has always listened and helped me with solutions to all my problems, shes extremely caring and definitely wants the best for her patients. The ladys at the front desk are always nice and welcoming. Thank you!

Priya Sebastian is a wonderful nurse practitioner - she cares about her patients, and actually wants to know about your life outside of the appointment. Priya gives honest medical advice, and will help to incorporate your opinion into your treatment plan. I absolutely love her, and would recommend her to anyone!

I have been going here since I have moved to Sherwood Park and I have never been disappointed with the clinic, doctors, or other staff. The receptionists are always so sweet on the phone and when I come in to the clinic which is almost every week. Especially Zhara, who I usually end up on the phone with and puts me in my room is so very sweet. My docter, Dr. Pyria Sebastian is an absolutely wonderful lady. She is very caring about my overall health and is never reluctant to answer and of my questions or concerns. The waits are never long, I am always in the room quickly unless the clinic is very busy or bit behind but that's how every place is and should be understood by everyone. I would happily suggest this clinic to friends and family. Thanks again for the awesome service Emerald Hills MD Centre!

Literally the slowest clinic I've ever been to. Got there at 6pm and didn't end up leaving until 8. Wasn't overly busy either just super slow.

I have been seeing Priya Sebastian for a little under a year and don’t have enough good words to say about her. She has helped me get to the bottom of many of the issues I was having and is very friendly and knowledgeable! Would 10/10 reccomend her, I won’t be seeing any one else. The front end staff is also great. Very happy with my experiences here!

I have been a patient here for a while for serious medical concerns. When my original doctor went on a sick leave I was transferred to another doctor as my regular doctor which seemed to be going fine at first. I didnt receive a follow up call for my last CT scan results and I tried twice to make an appointment. They said they would fit me in on Friday between 12 and 8pm and to just come in which seemed odd because I asked twice for an appointment and was refused. I came in at 6: 50pm, was turned away by the receptionist and was told they were closed. Every time I brought up their posted hours and that another receptionist told me on the phone to come in, she just said no that's not true we're closed. I was asking questions to try to understand and she just kept saying too bad we are closed. I got in my car in tears and called her inside the clinic and said I would be finding a new doctor and would like my files transferred when I do. She replied that I was being unneasonable and a manager would call me Monday.
. I did not ever receive a phone call from the manager and I still dont have my CT scan results from 3 weeks ago which I'm devastated about. Nothing like being kept in the dark. I am not sure I've ever been more frustrated with a doctor in my life. They dont care about their patients at all here.

I took my wife to see the doctor, even though i didn't have an appointment.
The Lady at the front, Zahra, was so accommodating. Just brilliant. She got us in to see the Doctor after a short wait. During our short wait, i saw her handle other clients, her phone manner and her general customer service manner was a joy to see. Kudos.to her. Such service is very rare these days.

I was calling to follow up the result of my last check up since I was told they will call me within 24 hrs but received none. I got offended with the way Geraldine talk to me she seems annoyed with my questions over the phone. A receptionist should have a lot of patience in entertaining customers regardless of how busy it is. I don't mind the long wait but for her to make me feel so uncomfortable is what I'm not happy about. You have to know how to extend help and how you should handle busy days. Patients don't deserve that.

Have been going to Dr. Myagmar for just about 2 yrs now -have no complaints this far -has addressed some issues and some still in progress. She is a very professional Dr.and gets to the bottom of things -making sure she has all areas covered. By the way all medical clinics charge for med notes and certificates so not sure why ppl complain about paying for a sick note for work. Staff is friendly and facility clean.

Not sure where these people commenting are coming from-Usually in Dr's office before 20 min-and have never been more than an 1 hour counting waiting time and Doctor time. Have never experienced such quick response from any other Med Office.
