Further update.
The Customer Service Rep now says it from excess wear.
This sofa is just over four years old, located in our front room, used maybe twice a month when we have company. Hardly subjected to regular or vigorous use. We are just two adults, no kids…. We are not hard on our furniture. We have another sofa/love seat in our family room, used daily that is showing no wear. God help you if you have Kids.
RUN AWAY DON'T WALK, UNLESS YOU WANT TO CHANGE PAY $8000 FOR A SOFA AND LOVE SEAT THAT LAST ONLY FOUR YEARS!

Talked to Customer Service As per Directed below. Their solution was to PAY FULL PRICE to have the sofa reupholstered for full cost.
NO COMPENSATION FOR THE POOR FABRIC QUALITY.

EXTREMELY POOR WARRANTY ON SOFAS! ~ Spent almost $8000 on a sofa and love seat. Fabric started to fray and show wear after just a couple of years. Call Customer Service and found out the warranty on the fabric was just one year.
This is completely unacceptable and way below industry standard. The other sofa we bought a had ten year warranty against wear.
My bad that I didn't check this out. Their bad for such a poor warranty.

Great finished product and exceptional customer service by Lina. We’ve made two orders, the first of which ended up taking around 11 months to show up. Although it took a long time to show up, Lina did everything right, keeping us updated throughout and offering us alternatives. I also really appreciate the advice she gave us regarding styling the pieces. She is great at listening to your needs and providing you with options.

After having not bought furniture in a long time and having a bad experience with another retailer just prior, it was a pleasure working with our sales rep from EQ3 to get exactly what I wanted. She worked with us thru choosing the best style of furniture and the best fabric. Highly recommend!

We purchased this dining table from EQ3 6 months ago and it already has cracks on its legs which do not seem normal. As a premium marketed furniture store, we felt EQ3 would stand by its products but were disappointed to get a quick email back stating that natural wood cracks and we are responsible to keep humidity within 30-50% (which we have since it’s a new house and we have good control of how much humidity we have). We have had multiple wooden furniture over the years, including a wooden dining table from pottery barn, and while they have all scratched over the years, none of them have shown any signs of cracks. This shows not only poor quality by EQ3 but also that they either do not stand by their products or they are selling products they know would not hold up under normal usage. As a side note, this dining table is in our formal dining room which we have probably only used a total of 10 times since we purchased it. We were looking to purchase some more furniture for our basement in the coming year but will not be going to EQ3 (despite wanting to support a Canadian company).

Edit: following on up on my original review. EQ3 has reached out to me and agreed to replace the base in the next couple of weeks.

2022 Update: This is a review intended for EQ3 head office and not the Calgary store in particular. The people who work at the Calgary location are really wonderful and did try to help us out. The customer service people from head office are ridiculous and the quality of the products is just not what it was 5 - 6 years ago. We had our previous sofa from EQ3 for approximately 6 years and it was still in amazing condition. We purchased a new home and decided to get a new sofa. We purchased the Oskar sofa in the lana black fabric. We wanted something that had refined/structured look for our formal living room. About a year in, we noticed the fabric was wrinkling/scrunching on the arms and the foam was softening on the seat cushions and noticeably pulling on the corners of the cushions. Around the same time our bed (bento bed) became so uncomfortable that we could not longer sleep on it. When one of us lying on the bed the slats were so soft that the mattress almost touched the floor. We are average size people. Also, around the same time, one of the legs on the frame of our marcel open shelf nightstand (retails for roughly $700) gave out/snapped. In addition the finish on our kendall dining table seems to be disintegrating and the wood is splintering. I went to the store to order a replacement nightstand and mentioned the issues with the bed slats and sofa. Kari was surprised by the issues we were having and said that she would try to get head office to do something about it. A tech came to my home and looked at the sofa and the bed slats. He said he agreed that the bed slats were very soft and head office should issue an exchange. He also agreed that the fabric seemed to be pulling on the couch and the middle of the seat cushions seem soft. I waited several days and never heard back from the customer service representative. I sent an email asking if there was going to be some follow-up and that I was eager to know if an exchange or something could be done. If EQ3 wasn't going to rectify the issue with the bed slats, I was planning to shop the black Friday sales for a new bed in hopes of saving a bit of money. EQ3 didn't respond until well after black friday and conveniently one day after the EQ3 sale had ended. The response from customer service indicated my sofa and bed slats were within EQ3 "quality standards" and they found "no fault". We have spent thousands at this store on furniture for our home and our rental property. The quality and customer service (from head office) is not what it used to be a few years ago. Do not not shop here, the items are not built to last. I will no longer be shopping here or recommending it. Sorry EQ3 Calgary

A gentleman named Derek really helped me in deciding what upholstery to choose. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. There was another sales associate in the store who was not as friendly and seemed annoyed that I brought my child in. I had my toddler with me who kept interrupting but Derek made me feel like a valued customer and I sincerely appreciated his time. The store was very busy and he took his time to help me make an educated decision. Thank you Derek.

Cool store, and a good variety of products available in person too. The staff were friendly and nice to deal with, but with how quiet the store was when I was there, it felt like I was talking to an employee every minute and met every member of staff there that day. Awesome to get some help and talk to somebody about products, and I understand this isn't exactly a self-service store either.

We purchased various pieces of furniture from this store to furnish a new home. We spent approximately 20k. Our purchase was made in early March. We were informed delivery delays due to COVID, however were quoted 14-16 weeks as per our purchase order. We are now at 22 weeks without a firm delivery date. We have called multiple times to be told it will arrive shortly or some variation of that. They indicated they would follow up with us which they haven't.

I would recommend avoiding purchasing from this store. Obviously supply chains are a factor but the lack of proper communication and transparency with delivery is a major issue and speaks towards poor management.

Terrible company! Call themselves a "Canadian product company" only to sell their products more expensive. Pretty much every piece had an issue. Only take care of you when you are at showroom to purchase. Poor customer service! We had paid for delivery! But, I had to drive 50 km far SE to their warehouse to pick up the replacing item. When I got their they told me you have to bring the defective one! My question was that "why you didn't say that in your pick-up email? "
I know even cheaper furniture companies when you pay for delivery they take care of exchange too! By delivery fee, I didn't mean paying for defective products!

Mid range price to high end. If your into high end furniture and want to invest in your home space (where you'll spend most of your time) then this is thr place to get thr high end stuff. Be prepared to spend higher than normal prices.

Update: EQ3 has reached out and offered store credit for the rug, which I am happy with. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm frustrated by the system of having to make a public review rather than just a private complaint to get action but I suppose this is the way of the world.

Original review, one star: I have purchased several items from EQ3 and am mostly happy with them. The nixon stools in the custom wool fabric are perfect! However, I am very unsatisfied with the Bila rug and my experience with EQ3 related to this product. After about two months of moderate use the rug became very worn looking with a loss of pattern in the wool weave and very heavy shedding. EQ3 claims to have a one year warranty on this item for manufacturing defects and quality issues so I was assuming that a return would be possible but my request was denied, with the representative explaining that the satisfaction warranty is only one month and the pictures of the (now terrible looking) item are consistent with usual wear so it would be ineligible for a manufactures warranty. The other response was to not use a beater bat on it, which I never have. So I have paid $1300+ for a rug that looks worse and worse every day and I've only now had for less than 6 months. I would expect EQ3 to do better than this and stand behind their products.

Recently we purchased a couch from EQ3. Monique was very attentive each time we went to the store even while juggling other customers. She sent us home with samples and when we came back to order our couch she approached us immediately to ask any follow up questions. Although it was during Black Friday Monique continued to be very attentive and placed our order honouring the original promo. We cannot wait to get our couch!

Went to find a marble dining table - didn't find what I was looking for on the floor and asked Monique (the salesperson) whether they had the table I wanted in stock. She quickly checked and, though the table was discontinued, there were only a few left in stock throughout the country. She found one for us in a different province, and even so, it was delivered at breakneck speed.
Once here, the gentlemen who delivered it, were professional and courteous and put it together for me with! I love the table and am impressed with the service and professionalism I received from EQ3! Thanks! Anne

I bought 2 sofas.one 4k another 8k.
First one had to be exchanged in September.after a year.till present day zero response.
Second was purchased end of August. Didn't received yet after 4 months and will take another 2 months. Requested refund and zero communication with them. I'm so sorry somebody recommended me this store and furniture. Highly recommending to avoid this place at least a mile away. Now I'm stuck with 12k frozen in the air and no couch. It's a full of sh.t.

We bought 4 dining chairs and a sofa from EQ3 in the beginning of October. We were told the chairs will come in in 2-4 weeks. But since the couch is customized, it will take approximately 16 weeks to be made which was completely fine. So we ended up choosing the option of picking up the chairs from Edmonton warehouse instead of having all the furnitures shipped together 16 weeks later. It is now November and we have tried to contact the customer service several times regarding our chairs. We found out that the chairs have been sitting in the warehouse because we contacted them first. Not them notifying us first that the chairs are ready for pick-up. They said the chairs have been shipped to the warehouse and we have to coordinate the pickup time with the warehouse staff. We called the warehouse staff several times to coordinate with no answer to the phone calls or return calls to the voice mails. The only answers the EQ3 store will give us were "it is on you because you chose to pick up from the warehouse". If I had known this was going to be the case, I would've gladly paid for separate shipping fees just for the chairs. I have been looking at EQ3 website for several months before finally ordering my furnitures because I love the style so much but I have never been so disappointed in their customer service. I also bought the table runner from EQ3 which completely frayed apart after one delicate wash. I contacted the store about the quality of the item but never got a response back. I chose to drive all the way down to Calgary and come in to the store to order instead of ordering online because I expected better human communication. Frankly, I should've gone through online.

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful experience shopping at EQ3. Diana was extremely knowledgable, funny and personable. We were looking to purchase our first Herman Miller chair and she made the entire process fun, easy and ensured that what we were paying for was tailored to exactly what we needed. I started my shopping my shopping journey at EQ3 sometime in September. I really wanted to check out Herman Miller office chairs and this store happened to be the only one open on a late Saturday afternoon.

I felt very welcomed in an open atmosphere where everything looked clean, elegant, and bright! I walked through the store and saw a bunch of great furniture choices with tons of quality materials everywhere.

Later I saw a table with a bunch of office chairs and a standing desk. Having sat in 2 chairs, Kari said hello and offered assistance. My goodness, she is very experienced with all of the different materials, posture positions, and she empathized with my seating needs as a customer. We went over what my ideal work day looks like and the types of tasks I do. She suggested either the Aeron or the Embody chair and carefully explained the differences very well.

No rush in the purchase decision, she kindly demonstrated all of the different ways in which you can adjust the chairs and carried a strong conversation about previous customer feedback, including the upgrades people have made over the years. They have a standing desk, so you can try each and every seat with the correct desk height. I pretty much selected a chair with the materials I preferred, but my heart wasn’t fully set until I did some independent research.

Slowly but surely, I did return to the store a few months later and I bought a Herman Miller Aeron B with fully adjustable arms, the newer Adjustable PostureFit SL, full tilt limiter, and multi-floor quiet casters.

I have to admit, I’m extremely comfortable when I sit at my desk every day and I totally would shop again at EQ3, for successfully helping me find the right furniture.

Their delivery service is smart! You can track the truck before it arrives. They scheduled a time for added convenience. Very professional in customer service as well.

I hope to shop at this store again sometime soon. I was very pleased with my experience and I love my new chair. Again, thank you so much Kari and team at EQ3.

The service provided by Carla at EQ3 was excellent. She spent quite a lot of time helping me to see a wide range of leather samples for chairs I was interested in. Carla was very helpful and provided a lot of creative suggestions and I never felt pressured. I feel very comfortable with my purchase and look forward to picking up the custom ordered chairs in a few weeks.

Update: we have had the two chairs for 2 years now and they still look mint after daily use - the quality is excellent!

We also just bought a sofa in the same leather and color and Diana provided great attention and advice to us and we felt she really wanted to help us purchase the right sofa for us. Thanks Diana!
We are looking forward to another quality product from EQ3!

Monique Durelle was the sales associate that assisted me with my purchase at EQ3. I was promptly greeted at the door and was shown all the items I had wanted to see. She made sure to do all in her power to make sure I got the pieces I wanted and tried to make sure I didn't have to wait too long for them given the supply constraints. I received excellent customer service from her and she still remains in contact to give me updates regarding delivery even after the purchase so thank you very much Monique for your hard work!

We worked with Diana at EQ3 in Calgary and it was a fantastic experience. We'd been putting off furniture shopping because, quite honestly, it's intimidating. Diana was amazingly kind, patient, and encouraging. She told us to go check out other stores and to work with an in-home consultant to make sure that we were getting furniture that we liked AND that worked in our space. Diana has been open and transparent about timing and costs, helping us to make sure our expectations match the reality of buying furniture during Covid. Thank you for your help, Diana. What a great experience!

We went to EQ3 on what was a rather busy Saturday afternoon. Despite the rush, the staff was doing their rounds and came by several times to check-in and ensure we were looked after.

All our questions were answered promptly, and we ended up buying some beautiful furniture. Add to this, the furniture was delivered in less than 2 weeks - refreshing when compared to most other furniture stores around the city.

Huge shout out to Diana for looking after us when in store and also via email post the sale.

We went to purchase a sofa and Kari was thoroughly helpful in answering all our concerns (inspite of store running super busy) from whether to pick a sofa or sectional, what fabric & how to customize it to suit our needs in best way. So thank you Kari!
The product range is also very wide and so contemporary! Couldn’t find a better collection anywhere else! The pricing is very competitive too. The best part we can get the sofa custom made so don’t have to get stuck with the colors! Sofa yet to be delivered so will definitely come back to review in an year about how sturdy it turns out to be! For now 5 stars for customer service and collection!

Ok so sofa has been delivered earlier than expected and we have been using for 5months now! It looks and feels very sturdy! The seats are also very firm and haven’t gone in a bit! Very happy with the quality overall!

Our experience with Derek was definitely a pleasant one. From the time we walked into the store he greeted us with a smile and immediately asked if he could help us. And help us he did. He listened to what we were looking for and although some of what we wanted to see was not available on the floor he showed us alternatives. In the end he helped us navigate through the picking of the leather we chose as well as the couch and chair. He was able to provide us with some good advice regarding the different grades of the materials for the couches
considering we have children. That we definitely appreciated. In the end we are happy with the choice we made thanks to his help.

I really enjoy shopping at EQ3. Especially the help I was able to receive from the salesperson-Monique. She truly made our experience the most delightful and assurable purchase that we have made with any of our furnitures.
She helped us with the best rates and gave us great recommendation towards style/fabric for our new sofa that will be incoming soon.

She has made our journey so much less stressful, and her energy that she portrayed to us while we were shopping just made it extra enjoyable.

Can't wait to recieve our product. EQ3 will always be one of our go to stores as all the peices and furnitures are such a modern/contemporary loon that finishes the interior touches with sophistication.

We were looking for a sofa for our family. We walked through the entire store but could not find what we are looking for.
Then we were greeted by Monique. We told her our requirements and she showed us the perfect sofa we were looking for. Somehow we missed it during our walkthrough.
Monique was knowledgeable with the products. We ended up buying a desk and a cabinet with the sofa because of the great service we had. Will definitely shop there again.

Monique was so so helpful when we purchased our new couch! She answered about a million questions we had and even pointed out a few things we hadn't thought about. We are VERY pleased with our couch (cello sectional) now that it has arrived. Fits perfect and super comfy. Overall it was a great experience and I'm excited to go back and get a few more things from EQ3. Highly recommend.
