Escape Emporium

I enjoy this place but some of the clues were not functional and we were told that we have to "leave it and not touch it" once it's down however, when you don't have the answers to all puzzles, you tend to test different things. The sequences seemed to be more randomized which had us a little confused. VERY WELL BUILT AND DESGINED ROOMS and I would play again in a different room, but I felt a little lost this time around.

Fun family oriented escape rooms, a group of us went through the Wizarding School, and had a blast completing it so we did another almost immediately after, the jungle/ jumanji room also completing that room. It's fun for all ages!

Unfortunately this is not at all what we expected. There was only 2 rooms to go through and gather clues and some of the clues didn’t work properly. For the price we paid it was not at all worth it. The staff was friendly and there to help with clues. Just disappointing for the price.

Fun and exciting rooms. Took out two young daughters to the pirate 2 room and they got hooked on rooms and want to go back for more… they were very patient in explaining the room rules and what to expect so that they weren’t too anxious or scared about it.

Terrible, Faulty equipment and terrible robotic clues

In more detail the There was dust on a part of the wizard academy room which prevented us from progressing in the escape room.

We had fun in the jumanji themed room. They were friendly and helpful. Would 100% go again

Cool room and I think we got lucky-to go straight into a room without booking ahead. It was a good time. Easy to locate facility. The establishment was clean and the staff was super kind and helpful

This was our first visit to this facility. We did the Game of Kingdoms room. The room was incorrectly setup and a clue was missing, slowing us down greatly and causing unnecessary frustration. The staff offered no apologies for that.

The lighting was so dim that we couldn’t differentiate between some colors, also vital for solving some clues. I recommend bringing flashlights.

I prefer escape rooms where hints are offered through speakers or screens. Having staff enter the room dispels the illusion of being in a locked room.

The staff did not welcome us as we entered. The staff did not offer to take a group photo after so we could at least celebrate “almost” completing the room. In fact, the staff behaved like inexperienced funeral attendants instead of hosts of a fun game experience!

We enjoyed the puzzles and I hope our bad experience was merely due to a bad day for staff. I would be willing to give this location another opportunity to prove themselves a fun puzzle experience. For now, it was a disappointing evening for our group of nine.

We did all 4 rooms in a row, the rooms are excellent! The staff member was so knowledgeable and friendly! We had a wonderful time

Had a great time. Tried out the Jungle room. Amazing experience, was lots of fun and beat the room with 13 mins left!

Having done probably 40 different escape rooms in various locations, I'd say this one makes my top 5. The staff are friendly, the props and puzzles look good and the puzzles are logically sequenced. We did the Game of Thrones themed room, it was a great difficulty for someone who's used to escape rooms but isn't over the top to the point you constantly need to ask for hints. Would definitely go back.

We were fit in on short notice. The jungle room is super fun, a challenge but very doable. We did it as a family of 4 and loved it.it was our second escape room ever and we finished with 2 minutes to spare. It's a bit pricey but still recommend

This place was so much fun. My son loves solving puzzles and wanted to do it for his 8th birthday. We did the jungle room and was able to solve the puzzle. It did take the whole allotted time lot to solve the puzzle. We all loved it so much we can’t wait to try another room.

We did the jungle room and this escape room was great. It rates amongst the best for us as far as customer service, puzzle complexity/thought and overall experience. They utilize a good amount of technology in the room which always adds to the appeal and fun. We will definitely be back to try the other rooms sometime soon!

We've played all 4 rooms here and have nothing but good things to say. The Harry Potter room was our favorite, but the other 3 are all super unique from one another and are still exceptionally good. Staff are top tier as well. As soon as they open another room we will gladly return.

I've done every room at this place and every single time have a great experience. I like the tech they have, the themes and the level of difficulty. I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

It was definitely a fun experience! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Instructions were very easy and clear to understand. Pricier than most places I've been to. A little smaller in comparison to other places, but doesn't take away from the game. Make sure to listen and read everything carefully when playing!

Amazing customer service…. Got us in last minute at end of day. We did the School of Wizardry room. It was a very theme accurate room that is amazing if you are an HP fan. One of the most unique escape rooms my team has done. Highly recommend!

Amazing service! Able to fit my family on short notice today and the customer service was phenomenal. Next time I’ll bring more people so we can finish the game room and not use clues lol. Thank you so much!:)

Enjoyed all the 4 rooms. Managed to complete all of them. The owner is friendly. Their rooms are movie/drama themes. It’s fun and interactive.

Had an awesome experience! Our group did the wizard room and that was really fun. Staff were super friendly and welcoming as well! This was my first time and I will definitely be coming back

Pirate Room started off fun but we failed. A bit too hard for kids 8,10 and 12. Even when we pitched in to help we got frustrated. Example: Barrel said not to lift so we wasted a lot of time avoiding lifting the lid. Turns out we should have ignored the sign and lifted it. Very expensive to take kids as no ‘child’ rate. Not sure we will return.

This place rocks! Did a few rooms here and was stumped a few times. The puzzles are great, the easy ones feel nice to do, and the hard ones are tough to figure out, but fair. Of all the escape room places in the city, this one is definitely my favorite. Great people too!

My first escape room experience was brilliant! After hearing about the themes offered at the Emporium, I had to try it out for myself. After meeting with the staff, who are very friendly and welcoming, went over how everything works and how each room has its own challenge rating. Decided to do the Jungle themed room and it was so much fun! Not to mention a little nostalgia if you are a Jumanji lover! I can’t wait to go back and try the Wizarding World themed room! Can’t thank the Emporium staff enough for a great first experience!

Very fun place. The wonderful lady at the front was so helpful and gave us a few clues. We did the Harry Potter room and the tech and effects were amazing.

Had an incredible time. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming! Glad to see some small businesses open during covid, will be back again!

Just finished the Jungle Room with my husband! Was such a fun experience and nice break from being stuck at home lately. Very happy to see there are still activities to do during restrictions.

Super cool experience, even better with the hot Romanian man around. Would totally recommend checking it out, and checking him out. 10/10.

My husband and I did the Wizarding World room and it was so good. Very fun. We did do it with 15 minutes to spare though and only used two clues so a little on the easy side.

Played 2 rooms.

One is Jumangi themed and it was fun but doors kept sticking from the cleaner that was used so we kept getting the clues right but no seeing ehat it opened.

Second one was wizards themed and we liked that one better. Beautifully made. Some great puzzles. Some funny ones too. Definitely gotta make sure to listen for the clues as they play over speakers. I would recommend this room to friends for sure.

Overall this was a great experience. I'm so glad that this place is open and give us something to do during pandemic.

Fun! Great time with family and friends. A good way to spend time with your covid cohort. The timing between bookings allowed for them to sanitize the rooms before use by the next party.

We did the Harry Potter room. It was excellent, very entertaining, staff was amazing at explaining and briefing on their COVID rules.

Everything in the room worked well and we were able to escape, however for the price ($35/each) it didnt seem up to par with other escape rooms in quality, puzzles and price. There were actually no real puzzles, all locks and point wand to open (Harry Potter room). Decent room, just too pricey.

Overall really fun. Did the Harry Potter room. It was just my mom and I but we got pretty far I think. It was really exciting when you got a clue and were able to move forward. All the Harry Potter references were really fun.

Downsides were: the audio clues were really hard to hear at times. It's also really dark in the second room so you really have to strain your eyes and the flickering red lights made my mom nauseous (I got a little headachey but nothing terrible). Lots of fun though, would recommend!

This is an awesome venue for date nights, team building, or if you're simply looking to try something new & unique in Edmonton! Great location, tons of free parking, professionally operated. A+!

Great Room! It's based on Harry Potter. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The room has a very cool clue system that limits the interaction with the staff during the play. Décor is a 5 out of 5, wow effect 5 out of 5, story (Harry Potter) 4 out of 5 (personal preference here), room difficulty -easy. (it's relatively easy and accessible to younger audience), Lobby and overall feel 5 out of 5. -it is clean has two washrooms in perfect condition, and it looks like a high-end leisure place. I wish more escape rooms will pay attention to they reception and welcoming area. I am sick and tired of dingy basement places that smell like 200 year old wine cellars and where you are afraid if you touch the walls you will catch something.

The escape room itself was fine. We had fun.

However, the fact that the black light, which we needed and which we wasted a lot of time looking for, had been forgotten! Really put a wrench in the proceedings. Instead of us getting the black light with one of the first clues, where it was supposed to be, we didn't get it till the end when the employee realized it had not been put where it was supposed to be. They had forgotten to put it in place.

As a result we wasted a lot of time looking for the light and were unable to decipher important clues that were invisible without the black light.

Also, staff entering the room destroyed the illusion. Very inept.

We received no compensation. No apologies.

Amazing place for family or your friends secret rooms lots of treasures hides you must be a detective.did you get the clue what you need to do? Is not a game is a brain challenge

Very good escape room. Our group did escape as well, so it was do-able for new players. Recommend going for higher difficulty rooms if you're more experienced, as we did a medium difficulty room and it took just about our full hour to do.

Went to Escape emporium for the first time today to play the Jungle Room! Such a clean environment with a variety of puzzle types. Will definitely play again!

Super fun! We list some time because we didn't push hard enough on a hidden door, so we spent several precious minutes looking elsewhere.

Did jungle. Perfect mix of pressure places Sensors and combo locks. The staff don't have to physically come into the room for hints which is awesome will definitely go again.

First time in an escape room and I found it very good. The story is realistic and the puzzles, mind boggling. We were here for a team building, and our team got in the room, right away. The Jungle room is a must although I look forward to get my family and do the game of thrones one.

We came and we conquered. The puzzles look good and it shows that they put effort into making the experience as imersive as possible. I highly recommend visiting!

We did the Game of Thrones spinoff room & it was a lot of fun. Lots of challenging puzzles! Didn't make it out though.we got stuck A LOT.

SO GREAT! My friends and I had such an amazing time. We talked about it the whole time at dinner, it was truly unforgettable!

The room was well done and challenging. We were there for a group event, and with 3 of 5 people (in our room) not even knowing what an escape room is - we could have used more intro instructions.
