Essence Wellness Clinic - Willow Park

It was my first time to get a massage therapy at this location. The therapist Edgar was great and my neck and shoulder stiffness relieved a lot. I will definitely come back.

Very happy with my microneedling treatment done by Zhichun Zhang. She was skillful and knowledgable and I love that the clinic doesn't sell products to push on you during or after your treatment. Though when I asked, she did suggest a few products she liked. Will be back!

I have been going to Essence Wellness for a long time, but they finally opened up one close to my house and it is just as beautiful, welcoming and wonderful as the other two. I will always be a client of this wonderful place! I've had acupuncture and vitamin B shots, but my favorite thing is the micro-needling. I go to Dr. Vanessa and my face has been transformed! No more dark spots or pigmentation, glowing skin and no wrinkles. I am turning 46 and this is all I do! Not only does it do wonders for your skin, she is so calming and knowledgeable and you get to lay in a spa like environment under warm blankets. It's a pure indulgence to me! Highly recommend checking out this new location and experiencing amazing service and relaxation!

I went to Essence Wellness Clinic in Willow Park looking for a good deep tissue and prenatal massage, and I was not disappointed! Kat Yanciw treated me with the best massage of my entire life. The massage was strong and consistent as I had hoped. She was incredibly attentive throughout the entire process. She remembered all of the problem areas I had mentioned in my intake, and carefully addressed each issue. During the massage, she regularly tucked in the edges of the sheet and blanket so that I was never cold, and she had a hot tea waiting for me after my massage to keep the coziness going all the way home.
The clinic was clean, peaceful, well-equipped, and very professional. I will definitely be going back!

Showed up 10 minutes early, and was told they bumped me back so I could fill out a form. Form tool 2 mins so I got to wait for 25 for my appointment. Then they told me that they don’t direct bill my insurance because they’ve never heard of it. So I called my insurance while I waited and got a portal address so they could get it sorted. Was told nope. I’d have to deal with it after to get reimbursed. Wouldn’t even try to sign up to my insurance portal. Just keep on saying they’ve never heard of it. Weak. Zero effort to direct bill. Won’t be back.

This place is pretty far from my house, but the service is so outstanding that we travel from the NE to this clinic. I have had a few services here, Massage with Candace and Heather. I have never had such a relaxing massage while getting the knots out of my shoulders. IV treatment (I can't remember her name), but I felt great after that appointment, more energy than I have had in a long time. And I did acupuncture for the first time with Zhichun Zhang, and I loved it; I was so surprised with how much of a difference the first appointment made. I also have PCOS, so I get painful periods that I never got after acupuncture. I have never had a bad experience.

If you are looking for an overall great experience, I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone.

I received an acupuncture treatment at Willow Park today for the first time! Dr. Gatt was my practitioner. She was very professional and knowledgeable about many different topics and shared extra resources to help aid in my healing! The treatment itself was amazing, she was very attentive and always checking-in, on my comfort level. You can tell she truly cares about her patients well-being and overall health!

Loved it! I had an amazing prenatal massage with Candice, she blew my mind. I’ve been having a lot of lower back pain and overall tenseness during this pregnancy and she was able to help me completely relax with the perfect amount of pressure and rhythm. I would definitely be coming back!

I had a masssge booked for a couple of weeks filled out the paper work got a text and voice mail the morning of confirming and 30 minutes prior to my appointment they canceled my appointment. Very disappointed and will not reschedule or recommend.

Well this is crummy to have to post. I had one really good experience there. Great massage, good environment. Tried to rebook. Called a few days before, cancelled because the lady was unwell. No problem. Booked, called to cancel Same thing again a few days notice. Finally on the way 10 mins before my appointment called to CANCEL. It’s hard to find time with a little one. And I completely get that it’s Covid times. But never have they even offered a different massage therapist, a discount, or anything to try to make up for this. So if you REALLY want a massage I recommend maybe booking else where. Otherwise take your gamble.

Wonderful place! Essence Wellness WP has been a critical part of my prenatal self care. Between the massages, acupuncture and cupping I feel amazing and my sciatica is much better. The online booking process is so easy and user friendly.

The Willow Park location of Essence Wellness is clean, the reception staff is very pleasant and their online booking is comprehensive + convenient.

Having said all of that, the real draw is Esther, the RMT I see at this location. In my experience, Esther makes no assumptions and ensures that her treatment modality is appropriate for your concern. She is very receptive to feedback about what does/does not work for an individual's body and adjusts accordingly. Further, she approaches her work with a sense of calm competence - massage can be intimidating for some, so I would especially suggest her to anyone who is nervous/apprehensive.

I switched to this clinic specifically to see Esther on the recommendation of an acquaintance and am so happy I did. She has become an integral part of how I manage and mitigate my chronic backpain and is the chief reason I frequent this location.

Went for a pre natal massage. The therapist refused to do deep tissue - yes I had doctors permission - despite me asking over and over again and saying I did not want a relaxation massage. They let me know that all therapist have “different skill levels” yet they charge the same price for all therapist and make no effort to pair you with the therapist best suited for your needs. They made no effort to help the situation. Just asked me to pay and come back another time. Very disappointed.

I have been going here since July 2020 for naturopathic and acupuncture. The ladies here are all so compassionate and understanding. They take all of their clients'needs and create a treatment plan catered to them.

Dr. Kristy is amazing! Really appreciate all of her thoroughness, patience and understanding. She really goes above and beyond. Already starting to notice a difference in improvement for the reasons I came to her. She has given me refreshed hope!

I went for my first acupuncture appointment with Dr. Vanessa. I had previously done acupuncture once in my life at a chiro office in Ontario - it was very lack luster and I saw no value. After experiencing a repetitive knot in my back over the last year, I thought I would give acupuncture another try AND WOW. That was the most therapeutic treatment I have ever received. Dr. Vanessa gave me such excellent care and attention to my concerns. She educated me throughout the process. It is so clear that this is her passion and not just a job to pay the bills. She was amazing. I cannot wait for my next appointment.

Had a massage today from Xing (Elyn) Sun and she was amazing. I have never had a better deep tissue massage, she was knowledgeable and felt she genuinely cared about my issues/ pain. Would 12/10

My husband and I had a couple’s deep tissue massage today at the Willow Park location and we were so satisfied. Our massage therapists Elyn and Heather were both awesome, they were so great making sure they address all our concerns and were very friendly. Such a relaxing way to start the Thanksgiving weekend! We’ll come back soon!

Our experience here was really great. I had been to the Marda Loop locations previously, which was also great. Everyone we have encountered so far was very friendly, knowledgeable, and the process of booking/insurance etc was very smooth. They also have great treatment options!

I’m really glad that they opened a branch here in SE. I used to go to their Marda Loop branch that takes me about 10-15 mins. Now it’s only 3-5mins drive. Staff are still great and friendly, clean area. It’s now my go to place for my IV treatment.

Friendly, professional staff. Esther is a great RMT, incorporating breathing and reflexology into her techniques. Also, fantastic decor, especially the wallpaper. Felt warm and inviting, like I was in someone's home.
So happy this clinic has opened in my area:)
