Myself and 4 friends showed up for a bachelorette party to have our nails done.and OH MY GOD what a wonderful experience️‍? We all got someone different and NOT a single party member had a complaint! It’s such a comfortable environment! I kept shushing our group haha BUT…. We were ENCOURAGED to have a blast and not to worry! (we also were very respectful) what an amazing start to a wonderful day! Thanks so much to everyone who worked the party at 3: 30 Aug 20! Definitely coming back to get my feet done

Front staff were very unhelpful/horrible. Did not tell my Aesthetician that I had arrived and waited 30 minutes until they realized I was there. This happens quite regularly unfortunately.

It was horrible, I it looks dead, went twice, and they killed the health of my hair and the color keeps leaking and changing its thinner and was way to expensive hurt my neck bothering times felt like my scalp was on fire very uncomfortable with the way it looks

I got highlights done on my hair and I am very impressed with the out come. The student barbijoe was very nice and knew what she was doing. And the instructor was a nice lady she checked on her students and guided them. I will definitely return there to get more hair work done

I took an appointment to get a hair massage. Ketjana a young lady who was a student at Eveline Charles took me and she was very kind and cheerful. She went above and beyond with the service. She explained what kind of product they had for massage. The she did only shampooing, conditioning and massaging, she styled my hair with beautiful waives. I felt lighter and very well treated. Ketjana did an amazing job with my hair. Thank you Ketjana!

Kristy F did my hair and she was absolutely phenomanel! She is so kind and really easy to get along with! Im quite picky with who does my hair and I can say I will be going back! The place itself was gorgeous and well kept/clean, and all of the students there were so nice!

I'm growing out my gray hair after many years as a strawberry blonde, and I was looking for a way to blend in about four inches of grow-out. The results were FABULOUS. Ketjana did a meticulous job with full foils, carefully watching the timing on each one and then gave me a beautiful bob cut, with layers for my natural curls. This was well beyond what I expected of a student hairstylist and I'm thrilled with it. She set the stage for the rest of my grow-out process to be easy to manage - and my partner loved it!

My experience was very good, as a first time experience I would recommend it to anyone. The ladies asked question and catered to my desires and allowed me to ask questions and change my mind. They worked with me and for me in a relaxed atmosphere. I went with an open mind and was delighted by their professionalism.

I went to see Manpreet today and she was awesome! She did a fantastic job of my foliage. It looks shiny and healthy and is a beautiful shade. She made me feel pretty again. She is a perfectionist and really takes pride in her learning. The price was great too.

Had a facial done on Friday, then a mani pedi on Saturday. Ikran did a great job. Will be back again.

Got a haircut and full color with Rosin who's sadly about to graduate so won't be around past the end of the month, but she did such an amazing job! I used to go to MC College in the past but felt the students there were a little disengaged my last two visits so I did a search and was pleasantly surprised to discover EC academy. There's less teachers hovering around at EC which makes it seem less structured but honestly by the time the students are ready to work on clients instead of mannequins they don't need an instructor hovering, and it made me feel more comfortable because the students seemed to be doing their own thing and were focused and attentive instead of beingworried about being critiqued. Also whatever was used in my hair smelled delightful and made it look shiny and so healthy! If you want your hair done without spending a fortune this is the best option!

I have been to Eveline Charles twice. Very professional and excellent quality, better and affordable than any other spa. Is not just any spa to make you look good.but they target to solve the problem deeply in internal layer of body and using techniques by hand massage, temperature treatment. As well I loved Ikran's massage, habby smiling.

I had my hair done by Neama and Megan yesterday and my hair looks great! I came in wanting my hair to done, so I could have a seamless transition between my roots and the rest of my hair. They did a colour melt and toner, and I am so happy with the results. Thanks ladies!

I was in yesterday, February 18th to be a hair model for Caleigh. She did a fantastic job cutting my hair into a short bob. She was very professional! I enjoyed my experience. She will be a great stylist. ️

I went to school in the Calgary area when it was still open, as an adult student.

Their behaviour and policies at that time perpetuated abusive and predatory workplace practices, in my opinion.

I asked for help and was met with “I don’t think your tshirt dress sleeves are long enough to be considered a sleeve. ” The expectation is that armpit remain covered at all times. Mine were. Comments about and over policing of students clothing/appearance was a regular occurrence.

People with declared food allergies had multiple life threatening reactions before the school removed the culprit candy machine or told students/staff to keep said food out of the school.

Students that just couldn’t “make it to school” were provided opportunities to write/finish assignments however, when it became my turn to miss a 5 question exam to attend a funeral, It just was not something they could do.

Staff, administration and the department heads at the time demanded a student with mono be present in the school while dealing with a severe infection. Effectively putting all students and clients at risk. Staff would enforce rules how they fit father than universally. Resulting in a ton of favouritism.

While in another country, the education head decided it was appropriate to show up 20 minutes late, with starbucks after lunch because they “didn’t feel good” all while threatening students that coming to any event late could and would result in lost hours for the day. Students were trying to reach said employee a half an hour before the class start time as the room was so packed we couldn’t get in for the class. I was threatened that I could loose my hours for being “inappropriate” but trying to reach out to them to make sure they are safe after disappearing for an hour, alone in another country. We were only provided emails to contact. My email consisted of (after 10 mins past the class time) Hello, where are you? Are you ok? The room was so packed none of us could get in. We’re all in the hallway, not sure what to do. ”

They regularly expected students to take clients during their lunch breaks, and would schedule it on 10 hour days.

More than once, tools that students had paid for months in advanced showed up a day or two after they were needed for final exams.

In the last three months of my experience there, the school was unable to provide basic hair products for the students to complete their assignments. Things such as gel, conditioner, and mannequin safe shampoo.

The recent restructuring has left a lot of past students voices unheard and I believe that the customer (student) deserves to make informed decisions. This was my experience years before so I can’t speak to what things are like now.

Durning my time, multiple guest teachers were impressed with the current classes as their past experiences with EC and their students were not pleasant and made sure the current students were aware of it. One guest teacher refused to supply a certificate and wanted students to pay $400 US to go online and get it themselves.

Students had to sit through multiple MLM (Ex. It Works, Avon, Mary Kay) sales presentations rather than focusing on the education they paid for.management was sure to remove (fire) all staff that tried to make EC Academy a positive respectful learning environment quite promptly and the ones they didn’t fire, left.

I am so impressed. Luwam did my color today and she was amazing. I'll definitely come back here

My mom and I both get our hair cut by Angela (Anzhela) at the West Edmonton Mall location. Angela is amazing! She is the sweetest and loveliest lady you’ll ever meet. She has such passion for what she does and it truly shows in the cut you walk out with. We absolutely love her and will follow her anywhere she chooses to work️

I had my hair coloured and highlighted today by Nicole, she was fantastic! She is a beautiful soul, and very talented. Teacher Ryan was one of a kind, and truly amazing. My experience today was unforgettable, you both took the time to listen and advise, I felt important and valued as a customer, it was time well spent out of my day! My eyebrow waxing angel was lovely as well, I'm so sorry I forgot your name, and a big shout out to your receptionist, she made my heart smile with her warm tone and such a warm welcome as I entered, I'm so sorry I forgot your name, I will try to remember names next time.to all of you, I will remember this day, because you all made my day so memorably amazing, thank you all very much.

Nicole Andrew did an amazing job with my Balayage. She exceeded my expectation and I love the result. Even though she is still on training, she knows what she’s doing plus excellent customer service. I hope she pass her training coz she deserves it. I would support her if ever she opens up her own salon in the future?

I have had services done at Evelyn Charles for several years, and see the lovely Farhana, who is pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and always accommodating! If you are looking for an Esthetician or Laser Technician now or in the future, I would highly recommend her!

I went to this school when they had one in Calgary, the school is terrible and the instructors were totally unprofessional.when they moved there location I could no longer attend. I moved from BC to attend this school and they told me that I would receive my money back, I never saw a dime or my certificates! Total scam!
