Such poor treatment. Lost/never sent referrals, not contacting patients when family doctor leaves (?). Very strange way to run a clinic.

I have been seeing Dr. Tikriti for several years now and the care and attention he provides is amazing. The lovely ladies in the office know me by name and always make me feel welcome when I come in. Thank-you for making such an impact in my life!

I feel so lucky to have met Dr. Nyati (Pediatrician). The effort and attention that she puts into meeting my kids makes me so happy and I’m so confident that their health is in the most capable hands.

1. Front desk staff are overwhelmed and overworked. They are normally stellar, the redhead lady deserves a raise! Shes keeping this place together
2. Wait times are still acceptable 20-30min
3. The pain and addiction doctor is condescending and doesn’t actually listen to his patients. If you want a shame sandwich come to this clinic!
4. Walk in doctors are kind of condescending too
5. Family doctors are also hard to come by

Great doctor but absolutely terrible reception services. You can try for days to call them and never get through. If you're lucky they'll pick up and place you on hold for 20 minutes and then hang up on you. It's honestly really frustrating trying to get through to them. Something has to change. Almost every review complains of this. They've not replied to a single one. No medical facility should have a two star rating.

Be ready to wait for an hour or so anytime you visit. There is no value of anyone’s time. Only doctor’s time is important, everyone else’s time has no value. This is our Alberta health system.

Long hold times to talk to rude receptionists. Their booking website does not work. They booked me with wrong doctor, so they told me to rebook and leave and weren’t nice about it. Don’t recommend

Love my family doctor but hate this clinic. You get put on hold constantly, used to be extended hold periods, and now it disconnects you after fifteen mins. What is the point of a Dr's office if I can't even get through to book an appointment? Extremely frustrating and unhelpful.

It’s so hard to book an appointment with our family doctor since they move to Excel health,
I hope the Management knows that their receptionist are unhelpful and rude.

The front lady is terrifying, but I understand that you need someone who isn't a pushover when you run an ODP.

As a person with a chronic illness, I have struggled with finding a doctor who doesn't simply look at one part of me in isolation. Dr. Tikriti is the most holistic doctor I've ever met, maybe even the most holistic human being. He absolutely takes care of every aspect of his patients' well being. He has truly relieved my suffering in his bedside manner, and I know that even though I'm in pain now, he's on my side and I am not alone on this scary journey anymore. He has changed my life.

This 3 star review is for reception staff, poor treating, I was almost blamed in fraud with such an excitement in voice, also a lots of altitude was expressed towards my every single word. I only asked for the appointment for my newborn. I am with this clinic more than 5 years.

ANSWER YOUR PHONES! I have wasted so much time sitting on hold to just hang up because it has been 45 minutes. Tried booking online, but is saying there are errors when everything is filled out correctly? Every time I have been in the clinic there are 2-3 people at the front desk with headphones on. Guess they are just for looks.

Dr. Tikriti and his lovely staff member Penny have been the only people in a broken system to treat me and my father like human beings and not a number. We both suffer severe chronic pain, have complex health care needs, have been stigmatized, abandoned and left to fend for ourselves to gain any access to some quality of life. If it wasn't for Dr. T and Penny, I can't even fathom the life we would have to endure.

Pain without management isn't humane. It's not dying, but, it's not living either. To anyone reading this that relates to our experience - this is the place to come.

You do matter, people do care and although it's a tough journey, Dr. T and his amazing team will compassionately guide and support you through it.

From the bottom of my heart, I am so very grateful.

My doctor moved here and the service has gone to lower than sub par, main gripe is their phones do not get answered, not even an acknowledgement from a live human that you are in a line and after 15 minutes the bot says goodbye. Moving on from this 3rd world health care service.

The doctors in this office are incredible, too bad the receptionists are absolute garbage when it comes to answering the phone! I have called on different days at different times and they've never answered the phone. The only way to get anywhere is to go in which is not always possible. I'm writing this review but I know it will fall on deaf ears just like all the other reviews that have complained about the same thing.

The doctors are AMAZING! However, the receptionists never answer the phone! Myself, my husband and my son call over and over different days, different times, and it takes days to get anyone to answer. Beyond frustrating.

The front staff are friendly and welcoming!
I seen Dr Cambell for a shoulder issue and he was great! He was extremely knowledgeable and listened to my history well and developed a great game plan.

Seen Dr. Foran in the cast clinic and she was fantastic! She viewed a previous x ray and seen a cractire that had previously been missed. She took the time to properly assess my hand and put together a great game plan going forward. If she hadn't caught this actual injury and given me the correct diagnosis, my injury would not have healed for several weeks longer.
Thank you to all the staff at Excel. Highly recommended

ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE.
It is not! A family practice, nor do they have doctors with patience, it is the worst managed, walk in clinic I have ever been too.
They absolutely do not care about you or your health, and you are just another number to them.
I miss the days when doctors cared, the reception was receptive, answered and returned calls, and not overwhelmed by the lack of guidance or direction.
I will avoid at all cost.

I'm really impressed by the whole experience. Making the appointment was easy, didn't have to wait long and the Dr was excellent. I felt heard, respected and didn't feel rushed. He even took extra time to explain other issues.
Reception staff was great.
Don't understand why the bad reviews.

Dr. Tikriti was the former pill pusher from ACT medical. Dr. Tikriti was informed his patients were both selling their medication and shooting up in the parking lot right after getting their new prescriptions.

Honestly shocked the college of surgeons has not shut him down.

Dr. Tikriti is NOT a pain doctor. All he does is write script after script for Oxycodone or Hydromorphone without any follow through care.

There is a reason why the chronic pain clinic has a legitimate wait time of several years and not 3 days.

Can you imagine Dr. Tikriti left tens of thousands of patients without a prescribing doctor for both their pain medications and in some cases addiction medications.

Only see this doctor if there’s no other choice for a doctor to prescribe for you and realize you must take your own pain management into your own and not rely upon Dr. Tikriti.

Online appointment booking system is no longer available, and it's impossible to get someone to answer a phone to book an appointment. When I've been in the clinic, it has never been so busy that they could justify a MINIMUM 20-30 minute wait time on the phone.

I have been going to this clinic since it first opened and it has gone extremely downhill. I highly recommend avoiding at all costs.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Mark Vacy-Lyle for several years. He is an awesome doctor and have absolutely zero complaints with him. I know that when test results were returned to his clinic, he was made aware of them immediately and he in turn got back to his patients just as quickly. Approx. 2+ years ago, Dr. Lyle and his partner decided to move from their own practice in with the Excel Group. Prior to the move, you could always count on his staff to answer the phone and if put on hold, it was only for a matter of a minute or two. Since moving in with Excel, it is not unusual to be immediately put on hold for 15 minutes or more.we know from friends that also go to this clinic that they have a similar experience. It appears lab results, etc.take a few days for the clinic staff to get into their system and therefore the doctor likewise does not get them as quickly as he used to. We've had occasions where my wife and I have both called and been put on hold only to find that the 2nd call was answered first while the first call was still on hold, contrary to their voice message. Front desk staff turnover is obviously a problem as the same people never seem to be there when we go in. If it wasn't for our great family doctor, we would have left this clinic a long time ago.

The doctor did not seem very competent and seemed to be very motivated to schedule another unneeded appointment just to submit additional billings. Tough to find a family doctor these days but I would avoid this clinic.

This is literally my third time this week trying to call and ask about my ultrasound results since my family doctor didn’t call me or update me on what’s going on with my health. Normally doctors call you right after they receive the imaging.it’s been a few weeks now and I haven’t heard back. Why can’t the receptionist just pick up the phone and give me an update rather than making me wait for 45 minutes with no answer? ! I understand it can get busy sometimes, so at least return my call? I never write reviews but this clinic is just not it. Don’t go.

This clinic has been a lifesaver! I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Tikriti when I did. He has been treating me for over a year now, and has honestly gave me my life back. He's extremely knowledgeable, supportive, personable and understanding when it comes to treating chronic pain, which is very hard to find in this city. Both the doctor and the receptionist Penny work very hard to make sure I'm always taken care of, and in a timely manner! They have been able to greatly improve my quality of life and continue doing so. Very grateful for this clinic and Dr. T!

I’ve been coming to this clinic since they opened their doors because I live two blocks away, but the wait times on the phone are ridiculous and now the wait times in person are off the charts. Their phone message says you can book online but that function isn’t available on their website either.

By the looks of the other reviews they had better pay attention and hire more people from front desk staff to doctors that actually want to stay at the clinic because that happened to me as well. My Doctor left to go to a clinic that I’d rather not go to but looks like I have no other choice. Sad day

The pain specialist that's there is the only thing that's great at this location he never gives up on you and he's always there to help so I give him a 5 Stars out of 5. As for walk ins and how the receptionist treat you is very poor if you catch them not doing what they are suppose to do or if they say they will give a call back to remind you of your appointment in 24hours they never do at all then when you ask why they didn't do the call back they lie to your face or be rude about it and say that's not our job or they say that you never told them that which I called out one for lying if this clinic can't get their act together I'll be calling Alberta Health Services and I'll be reporting them. One elderly lady came in last week begging for answer to why they never pick up the phone so what did I do I called them while I was in the waiting room and what did I see no one didn't even pick up the phone and I waited 30mins on hold and they never once picked up the phone. To be honest they're the laziest people I've ever seen. Only the pain clinic is the best service that's why I give them a 5 star out of 5.

Absolutely impossible to book an appointment. They never answer the phones and you can't leave a message either. If you get lucky enough to get through and book an appointment then plan to sit there for another hour, because they are never on time.

May 11th, 2021 The Vulgar Era

Firstly, I'm having to do my own follow-up on an urgent matter, despite being told by the Hospital staff I'd be called when my results are in. I was not.so yeah, my own follow up.
Secondly, are they or are they not accepting new patients? I was told yes then no and then HANDED MY OWN RESULTS for my CT scan. Hmm, do I read these myself or? Wait I'm not a doctor.so where is he again? Cause yes.we're taking patients.then no and then!: "Why AM I BEING HANDED MY OWN CT SCAN resultZ aGaIn? Well, Dr. Saeed questioned that as well and BLODDY HELL! If the good doctor himself tells you to go elsewhere. Ohhh Wellll, he is a doctor; soooooo, WE ALL BETTER LISTEN TO HIM. Thanx Doc.for everything. When a clinic's doctor ADVISES YOU that going elsewhere IS THE BEST OPTION. I'm all ears.so, IS there somewhere nearby he can recommend?
