You walk in the door and immediately feel welcomed … like you belong. No judgement, no expectations, just an inviting opportunity to come and encounter God’s presence through real, down-to-earth, relevant speaking.
One of the main things that stick out to me about this church is how welcoming they are. The 2nd time I visited the pastor remembered my name and made an effort to introduce me to others and help me get connected.
During their 2022 Christmas Wishlist, this church believed "implied consent" was all they needed to take videos of a venerable population (people with a low socio-economic status) and post it to YouTube without their knowledge or consent. These people included adults and children. In school, letters are send home to parents in which they have to sign for their children to be posted online. The Food Bank would never take videos of individuals that come there and post it online. So why is a church allowed to do such a thing? It is very upsetting that this church has decided to take a greater interest in marketizing on their event rather than that of the individuals safety and comfort.
Have been attending for more than five years with my family; love their community support programs and the community within the church as well. A powerful venue for spiritual connection and growth. Always puts a smile on my face when I walk in the doors.
We have been attending EC for the last 4 years and have nothing but great things to say about the church. No church is perfect but I am grateful to call EC our church home. If you are looking for a church that stands behind biblical teachings, has a great community and exceptional programs for children (6 months - high school). Come check out Experience Church!
What a wonderful friendly place to call our home church! Encouraging, life changing messages. Lively and heart felt worship music. So many great opportunities to serve our local Calgary community.
I find it difficult to simplify any church to a review and rating out of 5 stars… But I have been attending this church for over 7 years and my hope is people would see this and get a glimpse of the heart of Experience Church. After stepping away from my faith in my late teens/early twenties, a friend invited me to EC. I felt welcome from the first moment I stepped through the door. As I became a regular attender, I started building my relationship with Jesus again, and now it’s stronger than ever. Over the years this church has become like a second home to me; a place with passionate worship, convicting yet grace filled messages, opportunities to build community, and genuine life-long friendships.
No, it is not perfect, and I think sometimes we forget that all churches are filled with imperfect people. But my life is turned around because EC has always pointed my eyes back to Jesus
I’ve been to this church on many occasions and the preaching leaves me feeling spiritually empty. This church thrives on “the experience” of the music and a light show (like a rock concert) but does not feed the soul with biblical truth. Bad vibes and watered down msg from a pastor who dresses like a teenage boy. The people are cold and unfriendly, and I’ve also heard this from volunteers who’ve served at this church. The self-help style messages focus more on the pastor’s personal stories and very little actual Bible. It is a seeker-sensitive church, geared towards making ppl FEEL good, which always leads to fear of offending ppl with biblical truth, leading to extremely watered down messages. You will never hear the parts of the Bible that are difficult or “offensive”, bcuz their aim is to cater to everyone, which should NOT be the focus of a church. Very worldly church, when we are called to be set apart from the world and stand in truth. It reminds me very much of Hillsong, which is very problematic. BEWARE.
I’m disabled, took my family to church here and was asked to leave because of my disability. Instead of coming and helping me be comfortable, I was told by “pastor” Quincy that I could not be in the sanctuary with my family and the other people because, and these words stick to my heart “your a disruption to the PRODUCTION. ”? !? !? !? ! I wonder if Jesus would feel that I amd a disruption to the production? I tried to meet but they wanted to meet in the office. I told them I was uncomfortable teaching them how to deal with people who have disabilities if we can’t do it in a neutral location. I suggested a local coffee shop and they would not meet. They say For Everyone - but they don’t mean it. Please don’t support this place. It’s fake and they aren’t open to correction or direction. I could of helped them but instead they kicked us out? This is a zero star church.
