Working with Ildus was easy. He wasn’t pushy and not your typical salesman trying to convince you with BS to buy the car. Car was cleaned properly and taken care of before they put it up for sale. Not something you’d typically find in todays crazy market.

Had the car for over a month now and drives well. Couple minor cosmetic things I didn’t notice when test driving the car but to be expected when buying used.

Correction to my previous 5 star review. This would be one star if not for the reasonably pleasant sales experience.

This dealer is deceptive or incompetent. Avoid if possible, if not, plan to re-do any repairs they claim to have made. Get everything in writing.

EZ claimed that the new clutch they installed would need 6000km to "break in" and if it didn't they'd "take care of it". The clutch chatter that existed when I bought the vehicle didn't disappear within 6000km, so I asked three other shops about clutch break in periods. All three (the manufacturer included) said that a break in period is not required.

I had the clutch replaced at another shop (which fixed the problem) and the parts that were removed don't have any manufacturer's markings. EZ can't or won't provide the manufacturer's name, which leads me to believe they're using unacceptably low quality parts. They also failed to replace the obviously worn pilot and throw-out bearings that any competent shop would have replaced when they did the clutch. To their credit, EZ offered to replace the clutch for $900, but between their behaviour and the ongoing pandemic, I chose to have the work done closer to home for $2000.

I communicated with EZ's salesperson, about this by email and when it became apparent that I would need to maintain a record of our interaction I asked him to only communicate by email. He immediately called me and left an aggressive and vaguely threatening voicemail. I had the work done elsewhere and filed an AMVIC complaint.

My original review stated that the sales experience was good, and that is true, but the rest of the experience was deeply unpleasant.

RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE

If I only had the sales experience I would have left my own 5 star review up. It was the rest of the experience that was the problem. Pointing to other reviews doesn't have any bearing on this situation.

I delayed to 15000km in a (misguided) attempt to give you the benefit of the doubt, and because we were at the peak of a PANDEMIC.

AMVIC didn't act because you technically didn't do anything illegal, NOT because of the mileage.

I should clarify a couple of things;

1 - You initially told me to drive it at least 6000km but didn't specify a range or maximum mileage. 15000km is certainly longer than I would like, but still within a year. Given that the contract is ambiguous, litigating this isn't something we can do here.

2 - You initially said that if I had come back sooner you could have gone to the manufacturer with a warranty claim. Later, when I couldn't identify the manufacturer of the parts you installed, you claimed that you didn't know who made it and only gave me a generic number that isn't specific to the vehicle, never mind the part. Which one was the lie? They can't both be true.

3 - Before I drove across the province to have you work on the vehicle I wanted us to have an agreement for who was responsible for what. You couldn't or wouldn't provide your company policies governing repair work and when pressed, would only commit to a discounted repair for about $950. That wasn't what I understood "if it doesn't break in, we'll take care of it" to mean when I bought the vehicle. Based on our interaction, especially the angry phone call that came in immediately after I asked you not to call me, I came to the conclusion that you weren't acting in good faith and went elsewhere for repairs.

If you'd like, I can post the email chain, voicemail recording, and photos of the unidentifiable parts. Maybe somebody could identify the parts for you?

Amazing service, they are very busy right now and booking weeks ahead but it is worth a wait, their shop rate is the lowest you will find but quality is the same as other expensive shops, especially if you have a European model like BMW I got services, you will save lots of $$!

This is one of the best friendly dealers in red deer, I was very pleased with their service and anyone having trouble finding best quality vehicles I would definitely recomend paying a visit to this guys, almost nothing is impossible when it comes to their service, very helpful

Willing to sell a car for cash (bank draft). That seems to be a rare thing in todays world. We actually made the trip from Edmonton for that reason. No pressure sales. Let us take the car for a test drive on our own. We bought the car and drove it home that afternoon. Very happy with our BMW.

We discovered EZ Motors in Red Deer while shopping for vehicles on Kijiji, we were drawn to the impressive photo gallery displayed for each of the vehicle listings on the EZ Motors website which show the impressive detail and cleanliness.

Most often we have found that the seller’s posted pics are much better than the real thing, but we decided to make the drive to Red Deer to take a closer look and were certainly not disappointed. The couple of vehicles we had our eye on were just as the pics had shown, if not better!

The first person we met was Ildus, he was super friendly, knowledgeable and patient as we asked several questions pertaining to the selected vehicles we were considering. After a couple of test drives, we made our choice and the dealings were very easy and painless. Ildus knew we were serious about purchasing the car and gave us his best price up front, without the back and forth games we have experienced in the past when buying from the larger dealerships.

We also liked that all their vehicles have been fully inspected by their skilled Technician’s and any minor repairs that may have been needed are already taken care of before they are advertised and placed on the lot for sale.

The 3 month limited warranty also instills confidence that you are buying a quality used vehicle and 3 months of complimentary Sirius XM along with 3 synthetic oil changes on the house are nice pluses too!

We are now taking our other vehicles to EZ Motors (Ildus) for service as we know we can trust the workmanship and not to mention their parts/labor are much more affordable than the big dealerships and all work is performed in a timely manner.

We will continue to do business with Ildus and EZ Motors as they have set the bar as to how an auto dealership should run, which the big dealerships we have purchased from in the past could certainly take a lesson from!

Excellent service, I bought a BMW from Ildus at EZ Motors and he delivered it to me the same day. The car was exactly as advertised and the transaction went very smoothly. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great used car!

My beloved car developed structural issues this winter and spring that just could not be remedied. I found myself in the car market with high expectations and looking for a specific car to replace my old Jaguar. On scouring the area, EZMotors were the only dealership in the region that actually had the car I wanted. When I came to test the car, it was immaculate, and despite being 4 years old, it seemed absolutely brand new. The dealership owner was warm and friendly. I had many questions that he was able to answer to my satisfaction. I believe I negotiated a very fair price for the car and also a fair price for my "trade in". There was one issue with the car; it had a deep defect in the paint in the rear quarter-panel. The dealer stated that they could fix the paint themselves as they are a fully functioning shop, but I could schedule the fix at my convenience. Two months later I had left on holiday and EZMotors brought the car in, offered me a loaner car (but I didn't need it), and by the time I returned from holiday any evidence of the paint defect was gone, and this was free as the dealer stated it was a condition of the sale. They have advised me they can do all the work on my car, with the intention of excellence and at a rate that can't be beat. I feel they have not only sold me a reliable and beautiful car, but that they will be an excellent partner in keeping my car in mint condition into the future. Thank you again Ildus.

What we all want in a salesman is competence, trust and helpfulness/responsiveness; what we all want in a vehicle purchase is to get a good deal and to know that the vehicle is in tip-top mechanical shape - EZ Motors provides all of that and I am super ecstatic with my new BMW 328i!
