Staff were friendly and the whole experience was super easy even having never bought bulk fabric before. Will definitely be back.

Just waited for ten minutes to have fabric cut, no one was at any of the stations and there were three employees completely ignoring me clearly waiting. Unacceptable.

This is one of the nicest stores in the west! The store is clean, neat and tidy. Easy to pull out bolts of material. The staff are very nice and courteous. A joy to shop there.

Horrible Place! Wish I could give no stars because the people that work there are nothing but rude and disrespectful. They ripped me off with the fabric. Hayley and Tanya were extremely rude as soon as I walked into the building. DONT GO HERE!

I bought 3m of fabric it was dirty so I washed it and it lost its color (I did no use a strong soap and its color completely fell apart)

This fabricland has great selection, though sometimes you need to wait a bit for cutting. The staff is decently friendly though sometimes impersonal. I've been here twice, once in February and once just now, in June. Both times the outside wheelchair button did not work. I find it hard to believe that you can't fix that button in 4 months, therefore this store is inaccessible to people in wheelchairs, those pushing strollers, and ppl who have mobility issues.

By far the nicest fabricland in Calgary. The cutting table line is well managed and the staff are friendly. I wish they had more fashion fabrics; they seem heavy on quilting, home and novelty textiles.

I received excellent help in getting the products and advice that I needed for recovering my chairs.

Fabricland has extremely inflated prices.
Often, clearance items are marked up. Remnants are more expensive than buying it from the bolt. E.g. Quilting cottons are marked down by 65% but that's calculated off the original instead of the current sales prices.
Some stores are overcharging the customers by not calculating the price correctly.
The membership cards are a cash grab and should be discontinued. With the membership discount prices are still significantly over the quiltshop prices. Fabricland needs some competition.

Always disappointed in the colors of broadcloth. Please bring in more colors. As well as different colored trim. I see a lot, and this is the only fabric place I can rely on for all my sewing, and I wish they had more. Have to order stuff online, which disappoints me because I like to support Canadian instead.

Excellent selection of fabrics, patterns and notions. Sewciety members enjoy frequent discounts and the staff is always helpful.

Worst store I ever visit anywhere. The staff is too rude. Especially an Indian lady. She was not good at all to customers as well as to staff. I buy approx 80cad fabric they dt even fold it properly, dt give any beg.
Dollor store is far better than you. You buy 2 cad stuff they give bag and behave nicely. You guys are too expensive and dt know abc of common gesture.
Staff completely dt know how to behave with customers.
If possible I will g8ve them minus-10 if possible.
I swear in my life I will never vist fabricland ever again. Worst Experience ever in calgary. Owner must teach them how to behave with customers.

Since fabricland has moved to the new location the store is well organized and stocked. It's so much easier to find what I'm looking for. The selection is very extensive and a large area of accessories.
As with everything in the world prices are up. Supply chain issues are still around, patterns are still hard to come by. This is still the place to get all your sewing needs.

So. Expensive.

Its wild that this place is still in business with the prices! I went for some foam to reupholster my kitchen chairs and for 1.5 meters it was going to be $200. This is after their 50% off deal.
How? What?

I got 6 meters of higher quality foam at Michaels for $100.

I also looked for fabric for the chairs while i was here and was flabbergasted at the price. Not a soul around to ask questions to. I had to go to the till to ask.it was very silly.

Shop around for your fabric, these prices are outrageous. I found beautiful fabric for a fraction of the cost at Michaels, and the staff there are friendlier and more helpful than at Fabricland.

The people that work there don't really know anything about fabric and sewing. They can't have a conversation about fabrics and styles and what fabric is best for a certain style. They need people who know about fabric to work at a place like this.

The manager was very helpful to call to other stores to find a fabric for me. I appreciated the time it took as it saved me a lot of driving!

What can I say? The service here is normally fantastic, the staff is great and always willing to answer questions and lend a hand. The location itself is what puts this at 4/5 instead of 3/5 stars. I can't in good conscience recommend Fabricland over other fabric stores, or even the price gouge that is Value Village as you'll still find comparable lengths of fabric, for much better pricing.

The downside is how Fabricland as a company has deemed sewing as a luxury hobby. The prices on things are far beyond what one would expect or in most cases would be comfortable paying. I treat Fabricland as a way to browse what kind of fabric I'm looking for, and then find various sources online and around the city to truly purchase my fabrics and notions.

It is terrible place. Reason is so simple. I have not been any shopping center which does not open its washing room. The staff Mr Lee says it is only for the staffs. Now all the restriction is lift up and still the staffs are working at 1 year ago. Such a wide place not providing a washing room for woman is pretty nonsense and their reply to us asking to use a washing room for urgency is so careless. Plus price is expensive.

Customer service is bad. I went to this store last week and I asked for help to one of the employee she ignored and walked away there was so many females employees just walking around the cutting table talking to each other whoever I ask for help they were just rude and unprofessional keep pointing to sale sign. It"s sad to see all this.

This is my second time going to that store. I'm a sewing newbie, I knew the items I needed prior to going to the store, I didn't know that the store closed at 6PM upon arrival and nobody mentions anything at the front door. As I was looking around, a staff member came up to me, telling me, "the store is closed" and quickly walks away before I could ask for help to find the items. I understand that it's the end of work day and everybody wants to leave right away. I assume it was the manager standing behind the counter, was waiting for me to finish up, I went up to her to ask for assistance and first thing she said is "we're closed", I tell her that I was a beginner at sewing so I just needed a few items and help locating it in the store, she replies again "we're closed" and I just went on listing the 3 items that I needed and she directed me to which aisles, i quickly grabbed the items and checked out. Lady at cashier was really nice and didn't seem like in a rush. I was out of the store by 6: 10. Store has a good selection of things, organized but customer service can be improved on.

My favourite Fabricland in Calgary! Always a great selection, very clean, organized, and the staff is always super friendly, and helpful. I will always come here for all my sewing needs

Excellent selection of fabrics and sewing accessories. I sure wish there was still Fannys Fabrics around, to give them some competition on prices though.

Was not very happy with the staff went jn this morning to get some fabric for my wife was greeted by very rude staff who yelled at me for my daughter not wearing a mask shes 2 the whole time i was in the store the staff was very rude and snappy with me wont be going back

I asked for 4 meters and ended up with 3.8 so then I had to buy two more meters so my pattern would fit properly: (

Multiple members of the staff helped me on my visit. They were knowledgeable and kind. They helped me out with stuff I know nothing about!

My wife goes here a lot even though we live in the south. She says the selection is really good. She has made a lot of stuff for myself and our boys.

I have a medical exemption and cannot to wear a mask. I was refused a store entry and was told to shop online. Unless you know exactly what you want it's hard to shop for fabric online. This is against the bylaw and shows how much respect you have for people with medical conditions (I had a letter from my doctor with me). I will shop elsewhere.

Store is reasonably organized and has a decent amount of stock.
Lady cutting the fabric did not seem happy to be there and didn't say a single word to me even when I tried.

Unless you enjoy lack of respect, stay away from this place. At the entrance, I was met by a guard who had problems with English and politeness. She did not recognized my designer's mask and didn't let me in until manager came. I really feel sorry for renewing my membership for this year. This kind of treatment shall not be supported. If you don't respect your customers, better close your doors. Will look for another fabric store.

Wow, what a pleasant experience. It's nice to find exactly what you are looking for, at an excellent price while being served by by a friendly someone who knows exactly what they are doing. This was a 10. They have a huge variety, literally a mountain of material along with all the parts and pieces I needed to get my job done.
I score them high as well for the Covid-19 precautions they are taking. Customer capacity is limited to 35, you don't get in without a mask, your hands are sanitized on the way in, and all the staff is wearing either a mask or full face shield. Well done.

Good selection of fabrics, a little lacking in elastic, but, it's COVID times. Everyone and their dog is making masks. Their safety procedures seem to be pretty good (max occupancy, sanitizer when you walk in, etc) but some of their employees need to be reminded that your nose belongs IN your mask, not above it

Very good staff who provide pleasant and efficient service. The store is tidy and clean. Not a great selection of silk, but they had some. What I was buying was discounted and I was very happy with it.

Really clean, big, well lit, friendly staff! Will be going here for all my fabric needs from now on.

This store is an organizational disaster! Bolts of fabric have been pulled out of the display and are just lying on top of the display, or on the floor leaning against the display. It is next to impossible to see what fabrics are available without touching and moving a lot of fabrics. Not good at anytime but especially when we are trying to minimize touching things. Arrows on the floor lead you into the store but there was no way to circulate back unless you were going to the cashier. There is no flow to the organization of the notions area, difficult to find items you are looking for. So disappointing for a new store.

During covid, I understand people bringing in their child under 12 as they might not have childcare, but having your significant other just follow you around the store isnt appropriate given there is a long line up outside of people who will make a purchase.

Fabricland has sale going on. I enjoy shopping at fabricland and be creative. Location is very convenient for me to visit.

Decent fabric store. But they kicked my girlfriend out of the store for not wearing a mask during covid-19. It was not clearly posted anywhere that you needed one and they LET HER IN anyways. So after letting her in and shopping for 15 minutes or so. They yelled at her to get out and they were extremely rude about it and it was quite embarrassing.

Not at all impressed with how they handled the situation.

Whatever you want for stitching and sewing? Is available from threads, needle, buttons, clothes materials. Price is pretty much high on most of the stuff

The place new prices! Everything seemed very expensive and alot of stuff with no prices at all.they do seem to be more organized and definitely alot cleaner than the old store (less dusty)

I appreciated how staff helped me pick out a fabric/ pattern suitable for a first project. Great customer service!

Love this place, it was my first job ever and it will always be my best one especially with the amazing manager Maria one of the best manager out there. -narmin
