Sales prices are good. Staff not friendly or helpful. I was in there searching for over an hour for some matching fabric and not once was approached by staff. No greeting upon entering or exiting though staff was close.

Good selection. The staff was friendly enough. They didn't seem to keen on offering help when I needed it tho or to look into My question.

I create masks to donate and get all my fabric here, the ladies working in the morning are so kind! The selection is good and the members card saves you so much. Love this place! Brings me so much joy.

Great place to find some fabric and other sewing materials. I find that this location has a lot more fabric selections than others may have, along with the major space they have to organize their fabrics.

The one star is for the fabric and selection of product. I have nothing good to say about this place. There are many other stores out there that carry exactly what they carry at a cheaper price (even WITH the Fabric land card.which you have to pay for.because being a frequent customer isn't good enough for them). I have never met a friendly staff member, they all have dull expressions and behave as though you're a pest to them, they tend to avoid you, I've noticed sometimes and they are slower than molasses in January.

Honestly, go ANYWHERE other than to this place whenever possible. It's huge scam. No customer should walk out of a store feeling worse than they felt going in.

Also, while reading other reviews, I can't help but to. Notice that the owner is only thanking the people who gave them a good review and not really addressing those who are unhappy.

By the way, there ARE more places to shop for fabric in Edmonton. Don't let them make you think otherwise.

It is my go to store of all the Fabricland stores in Edmonton. It use to be a lot more organized and tidy. Signs are not always very clear. I've encountered some attitude from floor staff when asking price clarity on fabric or notions that are not marked clearly. On the other hand other staff have been very accommodating and friendly. To those with attitude.if you don't like your job go find a job else where. I do believe that customer service is part of your job. Keep in mind if it weren't for customers you wouldn't have a job.

I'm not much of a sewer or a quilter or a fabric person at all, so take this review as one from just a casual shopper.

I was specifically on the hunt for some fabric trim for a few chairs I have. I found the types I wanted and saw they actually had quite a selection which I was pleased with!

While the trim was around the price point I was expecting, the rest of the items were NOT. The amount of money for buttons, pins, patches, and the like that I have seen for pennies on the dollar in comparison, was a little shocking.
Patches I have seen the same quality/type/manufacturing of in the dollar store or Michaels for $2.00 was $8-$13 here!
I know everyone prices different, but this is just me sharing how I felt.

The store was wide enough for my walker to get through but would not have been comfortably wide enough for my wheelchair. I could've made it work but it would've been tight. (And for those of us in winter clothes we know how much harder that makes it to roll).

The area seemed messy and unkempt Franky, and I felt a bit like I was in a liquidation store. But everything seemed clean and mostly sanitary. I didn't notice anyone walking around cleaning much or sanitizing, but when I first walked in I'd accidently not put my mask on after the first doors, and an employee was right there pointing for me to put it on, which I appreciated!

Like I said, I'm just a casual shopper, and that's just my experience.

Worst fabric store ever. Previously I tried to shop here as little as possible since your required to buy a membership to get prices similar to Marshall’s fabrics down the road. I have been coming here recently for some specific tulle. This is the first time a business has asked me to leave since my child under 2 cannot wear a mask. The mask bylaw says children under 2 are exempt, they did not handle it in a professional manner at all. DO NOT SHOP HERE! There are far superior fabric stores to shop at.

Horrible crazy mask ladies who are rude, unhelpful and have absolutely zero customer service. Will never be back. Marshalls is by far a better place to shop.

The staff at this location are more than helpful and patient. Larra was super helpful by helping me find the draperies that I want by going through all the clearance shelves and calling other locations to find more for me! We will definitely go there again!

Save your time and go someplace else!

First, be prepared to wait in the cold even before entering, and when staff see you they just wave their hand at you wait further. There is no dedicated person to open the front, so dress warm if you go cause you’ll be waiting! When waiting to get fabric cut we witnessed 2 associates taking about scheduling and ignoring all the customers in the line for over 5 minutes. If you see a deal it’s probably false advertising, when you ask an associate and they confirm the deal, you are then told at the cash that there is no deal and to pay full price. Choose the businesses you support wisely! We ended up at Marshalls Fabrics and wow what a difference in customer service- warm greetings, associates helping around every corner, great experience from beginning to end! **Also, way more selection and better prices!
Remember as a customer we can choose where we spend our money and what businesses deserve our hard earned money!

Customer service was wonderful! I called in advanced and asked about the fabrics they had for what i was going to sew and what colour (i did this because they were so close to closing so i could be fast) and when a got there one of the workers already picked out a few fabrics. We picked the perfect one and she helped me find a zipper, and i was out in 15 mins! Little weird having the door locked and someone just has to notice youre standing there to unlock it.but thats just a minor thing ofc.great customer service.

If I could give less than one star I would! The staff has no idea what they have for stock which I’ve never in my life encountered. They are unwilling to help you. They tell you they’ll ask someone else and then just walk away and ignore you. Never mind their prices are almost double the other local fabric stores! Total ripoff. Lousy customer service. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

No sign on washrooms doors or blocked off.saying it's closed to public, asked and were told nobody's allowed to use it cuz of covid.declined of anyone with health issues need to use washroom.
With membership either misunderstood price calculations wasn't impressed with prices when we already checked doesn't match receipt.
Never going back to that one. Will stick to the ones we trust and know well.

I find it so disrespectful to their customers that they lock the doors until someone eventually notices them standing outside. Today it was snowing but still there was no consideration for their customers who are left waiting in the cold. Very poor customer appreciation. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

This place is as smooth as silk. It has got amazing staff, including the management. Must visit this place if you got anything to buy in the field of fabrics. Do take some time off and get some stuff from Fabricland! Thanks!

Good supplies, aweful customer service, staff are not interested in helping customers, they are disrespectful, had an unpleasant experience, I avoid going there unless I have too.

There's a huge selection here and the prices are decent especially if you have a membership. I have 2 complaints though. First, I had a curbside pickup on Monday. As I was working during the curbside pickup times and couldn't come until after my shift, I waited in line outside then at the cashier line to pick up a bag of items that were already ready to go and that was also prepaid. Over half an hour to stand around only because I work during the pickup hours. Secondly, I got an email saying my membership that expired March 2020 was extended 2 months. I returned yesterday to pick up more fabric along with my sister who is from out of town. The cashier refused to renew my membership at the renewal fee because it expired in March. She also charged my sister for my membership fee when I tried to tell her it should be on my purchase. She seemed to not want to listen at all and lacks any skills in customer service. The other staff were good though and my shopping experience was fine until I had to interact with her

Saturday June 6 we were at the store front 35 mins before closing.
Entry door is locked.
After waiting there for 15 mins the cashier comes pops her head out and says "sorry we are closed" and this is 20 mins before closing.
If the store is closed before time, at least let the customers know that they are not taking in any more customers, by putting a note on the door.

The worst Customer service ever. I was there today on 12/2020 with my kids. We were In the lineup like everybody else. 3 people in front of us didn’t have mask they provide to them by the door outside which was nice. When our turn came the lady told us we can’t go in the store because we didn’t have mask. Ok understand but why you didn’t give us mask too?
If your going to provide do it for everyone not just your favourite people. Ridiculous

I was looking at fabric in one aisle with another lady down the row from me. There were about 10 bolts of fabric on the floor leaning against the fabric racks.
One of the store employees came over and started yelling at us "GET OUT OF HERE! YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE"
The other lady and I looked at each other, confused and shocked. I said " But this what I came here to shop for. "
The employee yelled at us again "IT'S TOO DANGEROUS. GET OUT OF HERE. YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE! "
The other lady was visibly upset, as was I.
I simply replied "Fine. I'll go to a different store that wants my business! "
The whole experience was embarrassing and extremely unprofessional. If the aisle wasn't available for customers to use, it should have been marked off, instead of us being publicly berated and belittled!
By the way, I did get what I need at Johnson's Sewing down the street, I spent $290 on fabric and supplies. They even stayed open a little later to help me find what I was looking for.

One of the worst experiences I have had there. One of the staff was so rude, I almost bopped her in the head. She clearly didn't know what I was looking for, but should have got someone else to help instead of getting defensive. I am still 100% sure they have bamboo cotton blends but she kept taking me to the quilting cotton, and then proceeded to speak to me like I was the idiot.
