Fairmont Château Lake Louise

Barely noticed the renovations but I think I may have been upgraded because of them? I was booked a Fairmont room but I had a view of the lake, which was lovely. The room was a bit smaller than the Lakeview room I had my last stay (including a tiny but efficient little bathroom) but it was fine for just me. It also had all the ornate touches you'd expect from Fairmont chateaus but with modern conveniences (that were kept subtle).
I also enjoyed that there were fewer people there this time (I was there a week later than my last visit and apparently that makes a big difference - school holidays were over), so I got to experience the hotel a bit more during my short stay. Without all the visitors you can get to know the staff and start to appreciate that it's like a little community there.
I recommend eating at the Fairview Bar for better value and still lovely view (having said this, quite a few of the other restaurants were closed during my stay so worth exploring) but DON'T bother with the 24h cafeteria - they charge extra cos it's 24/7 I think.
This hotel has also made a significant commitment to environmental sustainability, unlike many other hotels that say they do but in reality are quite half-hearted (if that).
Overall, I enjoyed my stay this time substantially more than my last stay about a decade ago. I'm not sure if this is due to changes or the time of year I stayed but it was the most pleasant stay of my entire trip this time around (and I stayed in several hotels). A highlight.

A very convenient hotel to stay in that gives you some magical vibes when you're in banff. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that they have some renovations ongoing right now.

Visited Lake Louise in Sept. Its very beautiful, Did not stay at the Chateau, hence i. Not able to provide any insights on it, however the place is very beautiful.a heritage hotel. The scenic beauty makes it more demanding and adda it to the most visited places in Calgary. Every day more nad more visitors throng this place.

Luxurious Retreat
My stay at Fairmont Hotel was pure luxury. They treat you like royalty, and the rooms exude romance. You don’t need to travel abroad for a vacation; save your money and enjoy life here. I highly recommend it for couples looking to savor every moment. The swimming pool, hot tub, and gym, all included, make it worth the price.

The cuisine is not only delicious but served in healthy portions.

Definitely be sure to take the Mixology Class from Alex at the Fairview Bar! So much fun as well as so knowledgeable! We learned so much and had such a great time- a definite must to enhance your Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise experience!

The hotel staff was so kind to our family. The location cant be beat and there are so many activities available.

While visiting, Alexandra at the Concierge desk helped us avoid a total crisis. She was cheerful, resourceful, and most importantly effective as she checked all the hotels resources to find us diapers in an emergency! Thank you, Alexandra. Great hire, hotel management!

An amazing 6 star hotel. Located on Lake Louise the Fairmont Château is the “must stay” destination for a few nights if you’re in the park. A full service hotel with internationally recognised views make sure you ask for a room with a view of the lake. Rooms are fabulous, and are classically themed. Beds are excellent.air conditioning worked perfectly. Staff we encountered were enthusiastic and attentive. There was no comparison to the other hotels we stayed in at other locations on our travels through Alberta.

Fairmont Chateau is mesmerizing. The views from our room was breath taking. We were just in an owe with the view. We hiked the big beehive and saw the hotel from the other end. And it looked spectacular. The staff at Louiza and Alpine Social were exceptional. Mithilesh Goswami, the manager at Louiza, provides an exceptional service. My wife and kids have allergy issues, and Mithilesh helped to get us food from his and other restaurants. He was courteous and very professional. One of the best experiences. A request for Fairmont owners to include more allergy related, vegan, and other ethinic food choices. Your menus are geared towards only certain people, not all that visit and stay at your hotel. I see a divide their. The world is moving towards globalization in food and beverage area. Fairmont still is in old Era with that and needs to change.

Awesome place to relax and holiday getaway. Amazing views and hiking trail overlooking the beautiful Lake Louise.

Well, we visited Lake Louise for the walk.
To be fair, the Chateau ruins the whole feel of being outdoors in the mountains.

We took the shuttle to Moraine Lake and had a scheduled time back, but they didn’t tell us the timing was not enough to get to the lake, climb it, and come back down. The shuttle left us at the lake and we had no way to get back. The driver took longer than expected to leave, and on the way to the lake, he picked up a passenger who was jogging so that took time away from us getting to the lake on time. We had to find out own way back because we called the hotel repeatedly and no one answered.

Can hardly get there. We wanted to eat lunch at the Chateau and do some shopping. We were made aware of the parking restrictions and were assured that we could dine there.but when we arrived, we found restriction signs throughout the property that said for hotel guests only. This made us feel most unwelcome and put off.

You're paying for the location and the staff was very nice. The accommodations were average and for the money, subpar. I wouldn't stay here again if I come back. I did enjoy the sunrise canoe and the shuttle between Moraine and the Fairmont was smooth.

Everything exceedingly overpriced, wildfire smoke unbearable, mountain visibility 0, under heavy construction.

Can’t say enough about this place. Our room was stunning. We had the most amazing view of the lake, we asked for an air conditioned room and they were so accommodating. We did a ton of exploring off the property but never minded being in the room since it was clean, comfortable and the views were amazing. We ate at Fairview and Louiza and had great food and great service. Our concierge - Abbey - helped us with multiple reservations when we struggled to get them on our own. Our teens enjoyed playing games in the living room. Our stay was perfect at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. From the start we were told they want our stay to be memorable and we made the best memories. We love it here and can’t wait to come back and enjoy this in the winter season as well. The most important factor for us is value and it was there!

Beautiful legend: During the stay in the hotel, walking around Lake Louise can increase your life by one year, because the scenery is so beautiful, the body and mind are comfortable, and you can go around a few more times

Suggestion: Canadian weather factors, the peak season is May-October, go to travel and spend, if you have economic considerations, please avoid, the price difference is 2-3 times

What a nightmare dealing with reservations system. I booked one night for the end of July 2023. I had a family emergency and informed them 27 days in advance. The 'global call center' told me I needed to talk to on-site management to avoid penalty because I was outside of my 30 day cancellation window. I understood although this is where the nightmare began. For 2 days I was unable to reach the onsite center and kept getting re-routed to the global center. Eventually, a gentleman at the global call center took me seriously and told me my reservation was cancelled with no penalty. On July 16th I get an email asking me to prepare for my upcoming 1 night vacation. After speaking again to Global Center several times and lucky enough to get through to Ivy in-house I am told there is no notes of my cancellation and I would need to speak to a manager. As of today, no call from a manager and Global has no notes of my communication regarding 1 single night of cancellation. My wife and I have stayed at Fairmont in Maui several times, this experience has been traumatizing. I'm giving up on a call from the manager and fully expect a fight between my credit card company vs Fairmont Lake Louse for a single night they agreed to cancel but will certainly charge me for.

I spend my most happiness during my trip in the Lake Louise by Banff National Park. Definitely enjoying my Lake Louise vacation here!

Lovely place, great confort, nice people and very beautiful location with amazing sunsets, sundowns, panoramic views every day no matter the season.

Our first night here we were tired and hungry. We went to the Alpine social and had the best service. And an excellent meal. Shae was our server and she was amazing! Darsh was the manager and he was amazing! They were warm welcoming and the most gracious of hosts. The kitchen staff was on point because our meals were spectacular! We dined with them on 7/16/23. Thank you for being so great!

2nd visit to this spectacular place. We did not stop in the hotel this time but just enjoyed the time with the lake. A must see place.
