Fairmont Hotel Macdonald

This hotel is great especially with pets since it’s pet-friendly, they brought my dog a bed some food and a bowl, they even told us where’s the nearest dog park is. The best part of this hotel is the rooms and the lobby it’s very neat and clean, the rooms have everything you need, it has a little freezer with drink's, has a big TV, a great big, clean bathroom with a shower that has everything you might need. They have all little things that are really helpful, recommend this hotel

High Tea was amazing. The service was impeccable. Everyone is so helpful.especially Jillian in the Gold Room on the 7th Floor, she was so kind and informative. I always wanted to have High Tea at the McDonald Hotel. I have lived here my whole life and finally made it to the hotel!

The staff were great. There were multiple weddings and a marathon happening, so it was full, but they handled guests well. Forgot my tie and the concierge saved the day. Thank you.

We love staying at Fairmont Hotels. The Hotel Macdonald has beautiful views of the Edmonton river valley which can be enjoyed from the gardens and patios. We had a delicious meal on the patio and it was the best way to spend an August evening surrounded by a beautiful garden overlooking the river.

Great beds. Rooms are tiny, but cozy. We came here celebrating 10 yr wedding anniversary. We got a nice view of the river valley.

My husband, young son and I recently stayed at the Fairmont MacDonald for two nights and had a wonderful time! We stayed on the gold floor in the renovated rooms and were so impressed with the service (Jillian and Phillip). They went above and beyond to make sure we always had everything we needed. The food was AMAZING and the pool was perfect for all ages. I want to especially thank one of the managers who was working during the night - I believe his name was Paul W. Without going into details, he was the most incredible manager and provided the BEST customer service. Because of him, our family will ONLY stay at the Fairmont MacDonald when we are in Edmonton and we will encourage our family and friends to do the same. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

We were celebrating my birthday in the Empire Ballroom and it was fantastic. Our service and the food was incredible and I couldn't ask for more for today! Our servers Sonia and Maria were great and they were great people to talk to while also diligent at their work. Every member of the staff were great and friendly. I would come again!

Fantastic hotel in downtown Edmonton. The hotel has an amazing outdoor terrace overlooking the river, it was a pleasure to drink coffee there in the morning. The cuisine is delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive and the rooms are very comfortable. Definitely the best hotel

Great location, comparable rooms with other Fairmonts, exquisitely smelling LeLabo toiletries, excellent customer service, and an all-around extraordinary experience. So happy with my choice and will definitely come back and stay here. Kudos to the hotel staff and tremendous attention to detail put into this property

Rooms were solid and service generally excellent. The patio is one of the best. The whole place is a bit run down and neglected - which is reflected in the price. I really don’t know what they can do with the neighbourhood in rough shape and Edmonton’s determination to let the downtown decline.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, staying here has always been an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

There was a strong smell (not a good one) in the Harvest room. I think overall it needs a change of carpets, some fresh painting and maybe a few renos here and there. The food is amazing, as always.

Bedroom as described below. Basically loud room even though I had asked for a quiet one as we were there to celebrate a 50th birthday. The acoustics were horrible and it made for a very long sleepless night. Worst part of our celebration.
