Very impressive resort. We came in from Jasper to ice skate on the lake here. So we cannot speak to the hotel. But from what we could see, it is easy to justify the prices- it has lots in the way of facilities, lots of grounds to keep maintained, a playground for the kids and, of course, maintaining things like the ice skating path on the lake after a dumping of snow! The ice skating was very enjoyable.

My wife and I stayed at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge on January 3rd for two nights to celebrate her 28th birthday;

The place is beautiful by itself; surrounded by a lot of beautiful mountains and two frozen lakes, it's just a peaceful place to relax,

At the check-in, Bee took care of us. She explained to us about the activities in the hotel, the time of operation of the restaurants and spa, how to get into the parking lot and a few more details, she was so attentive.
The room was ok; it was conveniently located close to the main building. Although, there were two things we didn't love:
*We could not connect to any streaming platform to the TV
*The phone didn't work (we couldn't order room service, and when I went to talk at the front desk to request assistance, they told me somebody would go and repair the phone or take the order, but that didn't happened; unfortunately the restaurants were already closed,

About the outlets. First, we tried the Orso Trattoria for dinner; the experience was very nice. Our server Konor took care of us and my wife's allergy excellent; he offered us the three courses experience, and it was just amazing. The scallops and lamb were the best part by far,

Later on, we visited the Great Hall, where Bejoy provided us with a great experience. My wife didn't like her espresso martini and he changed it for us; also we ordered some chicken wings (the spiciest and most delicious I've ever had in Canada) from a different venue and he made it possible. He was very attentive and kind all the time. Same as Ryzman, both provided the kind of experience I was waiting for.

At the steak house, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We tried the Beef Tartar and a Rib-eye steak with grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes with chimichurri, which were delicious; a homemade ginger ale and some red wine to drink. Again, the food and drinks were spectacular. However, at the beginning, the service team seemed like they didn't know who would serve us until a kind gentleman called Elnur came to the table and offered us water to start. I would like to make a special mention to him because he was everywhere! Greeting people, running food, serving drinks, and buzzing and setting tables, He personally hung my jacket,

The places we enjoyed the most were the heated pool and the hot top, even with the cold weather it was super relaxing and fun to enjoy them,

We'll come back, next time in summer, to enjoy the activities in the lakes and hiking,

Super recommended place to escape to nature and relax with your partner or family,

CIN is fantastic. I attended once many years ago - I especially enjoyed the cabin that was decorated completely. It was fantastic and am sorry that it was not part of this year’s experience.

Looks like a lively hotel, we only came for the planetarium but would loved to have spent more time here exploring the grounds

Really disappointed by the service at JPL on Monday October 16
Went to the Fairmont for the Dark Sky planetarium tour which was great and decided to have a cocktail and a snack in the lounge outside the front desk.
Upon sitting we were not offered water and service was nonchalant.
We ordered 2 cocktails that were expensive and the value was not there. We also ordered a meat and cheese board and the server who dropped it off and our server serving our table were not able to tell us what was on the board. For $36 and being where we were I would expect a different level of service.
I've been coming to JPL every October to enjoy the property for 5 years now (although I stay elsewhere) but this was by far the most disappointing visit.
For being a world wold sought out place, I definitely expected a different level of service.

Didn't stay there. We were just passing through. But the hotel and amenities were great. The beauty of interior and exterior of the hotel grounds was sooo gorgeous.

Obscenely overpriced hotel. We stayed in a lakeside cabin which was dated and lacked many of the amenities you’d expect for the exorbitant price and the ‘superbly-appointed’ description on their website. It was 32 degrees when we arrived and inside our room was even hotter. The heating was on, even though we were assured it had been switched off for the summer. There was no A/C and the best the hotel could offer were a few extra fans, which was far from ideal. We were given a CAD$100 discount for the inconvenience, but at over CAD$2,000 for a 2 night stay, this was derisory. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the location and views were stunning, but you’d be better off staying elsewhere in Jasper and taking a run up there for lunch if you want to enjoy the views.

Bravo Julie

I put 3stars because of restaurant.
Overprice.
Kids chicken noodle soup-i found 3noodles and lots of carrot and celery.
Beer in small can almost 12CAD.
Service case good.
Fish and chip -32 CAD -average quality -I think is too much.

We booked our stay for 3 nights thinking we got a great deal on hotwire, which was still $500/night. 1st time to Jasper and family was looking forward to the trip. We kind of knew what to expect; 100 year old lodges that have been upgraded over the years. However, wasn't expecting a non-air conditioned unit for the money we were paying. We made the best of it and I was able to get the room cool enough for the kids to sleep by opening windows in the front and the back door in shared hallway. Was not comfortable keeping the back door open all night as it shares a hallway with another unit. Everything was manageable until the last night when guest checked in next door and must of tried to adjust the thermostat or something that caused the plumbing to knock. Typical in baseboard heaters. I saw that the guests were able to leave to another suite. I called the front desk and after the 3rd try was able to talk to someone. They offered us another room, but my kids were fast asleep. They did not have maintenance staff available during the night to look into the problem. Was offered a $100 room and food credit. By now the knocking was constant. Had to put on my headphones but had to turn up the music to halfway to drown out the knocking. Jasper Park Lodge is a magnificent property surround by a few lakes. The food and service is great. Must try Sushi with Mr Oka. The kids could not get enough of the pool and paddle boating. But it felt like we were sleeping in a cheap motel. Will need a few redbulls to keep awake for the 5hr drive home. Will probably not return.

Our stay in Jasper was disappointing because of all the wildfire smoke, but because we stayed at the Fairmont Jasper there was so much to do! The Lodge has exceptional amenities. The golf driving range and the mountain biking were a lot of fun. The food was fantastic and the service worthy of the Fairmont name. The premium price is justified because the Lodge has distinguished itself from other hotels through its service, food, facilities and experience. We will definitely be back!

From start to finish it was an amazing experience.my fiancé asked me to marry him there last weekend. Our stay started with the amazing front desk staff upgrading our room and keeping his secret. Our cabin was now lake front such an amazing view.all staff along the way were so friendly and helpful.we had dinner at Orso Our server was Kiran, He was amazing. (I have managed restaurants in the past and I'm very fussy about service) He was very knowledgeable about every item on the menu. He was great at upselling and boy am I so glad I listened to his recommendations. I asked him to take our pic with the beautiful mountain background well at that point Brennan took that as his opportunity to ask me. Kiran had no clue he was going to ask and he continued to take pictures the full time so we have that special moment forever.the pool and breakfast restaurant were equally as amazing as the rest of the lodge it really made me feel like a Queen. I cant wait until our next stay. Thank you very much for the amazing time and for being part of our special day. Special thank you to Kiran!

Beautiful, soothing, welcoming natural beauty surrounding the Fairmount lodge at Jasper, leading to an ambience of deep thought - meditation about creation & nature with which one can be associated from innermost heart getting harmonized it.

Set aside time to spend exploring the resort. Take a walk around Lac Beauvert, or even paddle it if you want to see some of the clearest blue water in the world. The service is fantastic and the scenery is incredible. Our room didn’t have air conditioning but thankfully the fan worked well and a breeze rolled off the lake in the evening.

We stay at the Fairmont most times and the family has been their customer for years. This place really dropped the ball and the experience we had here now makes us think to change our choice of Hotels. The customer service was poor and the valley lacked courtesy. We had a major accident at the stables which we booked thinking is a part of the hotel chain. We were told it was a third party. Honestly, never been treated this way at any other Fairmont's. We cut our stay at the Jasper and have moved all our bookings to Delta in BC for the remaining 10 days.

Original review:
I have given this time so I could write an objective review, but I cannot do better than 2 stars, or 4/10.
Based on the name Fairmont and a $450+ per night price tag, this hotel stay was disappointing indeed.

Pros: beautiful location, service/interaction with staff was, of course, was very good. The resort is nice to walk around. The breakfast was very delicious, now mind you that's at a price of $66 for 2 people, so it's expected.

Cons: The rooms. They're small. Every room is a cabin essentially, spread out over many buildings. It's not particularly advertised like that, and, of course, people aren't posting photos of sub-standard cabins.
The bathroom is tiny, if you want to get in the shower, you have to maneuver to close the door, then get access to the shower.
The worst part is the lack of AC / ventilation. Even though it's cold at night in Jasper, the room became incredibly hot. There is a fan, but rickety noise when turned up. Middle of the night, we had to open the doors to get air in. Of course, being on first floor, then you lose privacy when you do that.
Definitely the worst sleep we've ever had at a hotel, which is shocking for a Fairmont hotel.
When checking out and asked how my stay was, my response "It was just OK". The reply back: "Awesome! ".
I'm glad the Fairmont is aiming for "just OK".

Bottom line: stay somewhere else for 1/3 the cost, visit the resort to see the rest and its amenities. Not worth staying there IMO.

Edit: Despite attempting to reach the Director of Rooms at the below contact, as per their suggestion, I have yet to hear back. So far it appears their comments are empty talk. Down to 1 star. If you're going to bother addressing it, do it properly otherwise don't bother at all.

This place has well kept grounds and flowers all around the site. Its facilities were good and the view from the patio was amazing overlooking the lake.

Excellent stay and beautiful outstanding place. The manager of the main lounge and restaurant is amazing, Raman, that gave us such an amazing attention together with all the staff as well. The service is outstanding (thank you Owen and Charlotte and Evelyn) and the food is unbelievable!
Thank you for the best stay! We will come back for sure and highly recommend!

Overall, very unimpressed with a hotel that carries such a great reputation with the name. Beginning at check in, it took 2-3 hours to get fully checked in after the designated check-in time. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and I definitely appreciate their hard work especially during the pandemic and this busy, hot season. The issue is definitely the systems put in place that were consistently INEFFICIENT. Next, we were booked into a room with air conditioning however due to the long wait were given the opportunity to have an “upgraded room”. This upgraded room had no air conditioning and small fans that did not provide us with enough comfort during 35 + degree weather. We had a dog with us which made it even more stressful having a poor cooling system in the room. One of the sockets in our room broke after using the microwave for two seconds and after requesting maintenance, the power was brought back but quickly went away again. The only thing that made our stay enjoyable was the property, the activities available, and the amazing staff who were very responsive and kind. This hotel needs to provide better accommodations for their guests and be better equipped for hot summers. I recommend finding another place to stay in Jasper this summer, one equipped with the right accommodations and for a much cheaper price.

Great hospitality. Stayed during
Heat wave and one of nights got stuck in non ac room but the manager sorted it out for us. Will return as they truly look out for making guests enjoy the full experience.

We came here last year with friends to celebrate our engagement and had a great time and amazing service from a gentleman in the emerald lounge, so when our friend mentioned proposing to his girlfriend we suggested he do it at the jasper park lodge. Well today our friend proposed to his gf and thank gosh for the beautiful views and the lodge itself because the service we received was absolutely horrendous. Right after he proposed we went for lunch at the great hall where 5 servers stood chatting near a pos system while we waited for someone to come by for 15 minutes, I went to them and let them know we had been waiting, we’re celebrating an engagement and they promised to be right over. 10 minutes later they arrived, brought by a cute desert half way through the meal but then continued to ignore our table, leaving us waiting with empty drinks and not checking in. Then we went to Orso for dinner where we had made a reservation weeks ago with a note about the engagement, the host congratulated the couple and we were excited for the meal and the food was really good. However our server was again quite honestly awful. He disappeared, constantly talked about himself, and left us waiting often. When he took our payment he left the machine at the table while he went to the restaurant bar to talk to other servers and didn’t even say goodbye to us as we left. It is unfortunate that when paying the steep Fairmont prices we did not receive the Fairmont service we are used to. This place is seriously sooo beautiful and has crazy potential, in fact it used to be our favourite place and we even considered getting married here but after this weekend I do not think we will be returning anytime soon.

Blake at the Emerald Lounge was top notch. He remembered our order each day and was such a friendly Scot. I’ve been in some 5 star hotels and this hotel is at that level.

So me and my family went to the restaurant and we ordered two kids dinners (chicken fingers and macaroni) and a margarita flat bread and the oysters, chicken wings, fish and chips. The kids orders and the flatbread and the wings were perfectly fine. But the rest was dreadful. The oysters tasted really off while the fish was soggy which was meant to be crispy. The server was wonderful though! He was very nice and thoughtful, I wish I knew his name so I could give him the great boost but I don’t. Hopefully next time the food will be better
