Fairmont Spa at Fairmont Banff Springs

Great experience with the cold plunge pools. We came here a few hours early prior to our treatment and were able to enjoy everything from the eucalyptus showers to the quiet room. After a few days in Banff, our skin was feeling dry but the mineral pool changed that. After our massage we felt refreshed and rehydrated.

We have been to the spa several times over the years and it is always a lovely and relaxing experience. We always enjoy the facilities and the staff and especially the masseuses are exceptionally well trained, friendly, and courteous. The biggest issue I have is the challenge of getting a seat inside the pool area. There are maybe max 10 seats, which leaves guests fighting to find a place to settle. It makes it a bit of a scramble. Likewise the lounge area was almost packed which made it hard to find seating and took away from the relaxing experience. Perhaps it is best to come during the week and not a weekend when it is so busy. Overall it is a pricey, but worthwhile experience to go to periodically.

I enjoyed the spa with 3 friends while visiting Banff area. We all loved our massages and the grotto. Maybe a little older but still maintained really well. Would recommend if you’re in banff!

Go for a couples massage, then hang out for a couple hours in the most amazing architecture and spa water experience. Love the eucalyptus dry hot room. I have for years, highlight for me. Also, three temperature waterfalls and mineral pool, man oh man good stuff

Made appt for 3 of us for a spa pedicure w/ spa access and wow! Did not expect access to coffee, tea, smoothie, fruit, muffins and more. Fabulous mineral pools & waterfalls. Pedicure was very relaxing and staff were very kind. Only recommendations: choices for nail colors is very limited and exfoliation could have been more thorough but other than that, it is a great value.

Most incredible hotel experience ever! Spring for the gold room. The amenities are worth it! Hope come back again one day!

Mia did the most wonderful pedicure for me today, she was kind and sweet and always made sure I felt relaxed and was comfortable, as well as happy with my nails and colour choice! She took her time and was so calm and thoughtful I would recommend her to anyone! Thank you Mia!

We had a great massage experience! We went on a day with some light rain and thunder which made for a magical experience relaxing in the outdoor pool.
The 3hr access to the pools definitely helped justify the price of the massage. The amount of pool access time was no shorter than we would have wanted to stay.
The snacks and refreshments were solid. When we went, they provided muffins, chocolate, blueberry biscotti, many kinds of quality teas, citrus/cucumber waters, and a bright green smoothie that tasted like cucumbers.
The swimsuit dryer was a nice touch.
Gemma was an excellent masseuse! I felt so refreshed and relaxed after the massage!

An amazing pampering experience, highly recommend, it is expensive, but to treat yourself it is very much worth it. Felt like royalty for the time we were there. The staff were incredible.

I wanted to love this spa but feel mediocre about th4 experience. I went for a pedicure and paid extra to use the spa pools. I was told to be 5 min early for my appointment but was kept waiting 15min. Was getting worried they forgot me, and though I was visible to several other staff no one reassured me or checked in. Technician was nice enough and pedicure was fine, standard.

Was told by staff the snacks in the lounge were fabulous re convincing me to add the visit to spa pools and lounges. Snacks consist of dark chocolate bark, biscotti, pears/apples, oranges and date bars. Unfortunately there was no ability to order other paid foods or drinks (glass of wine). Beverages offered were tea, flavoured water and coffee. Spa pools were busy and chatty loud tour guide staff the whole time I was there. Read the room tour guide couple! There were 3 solos in that outdoor pool who wanted peace and quiet!

It is a pity there is no view for services like a pedicure. I'm glad I tried it but feel firmly "meh" about it.

I had a wonderful experience at this spa. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when I was looking for something. I appreciate you only have three hours in the facility, it allowed me to enjoy the spaces with little to no crowds. I loved all the areas but my favorite was the steam room. I also enjoyed my massage. It was such a relaxing, peaceful experience and I would love to go back whenever I'm visiting Banff.

My partner and I recently indulged in a couple's massage and spa experience, and I must say, it was truly exceptional. We opted to first enjoy the luxurious facilities, which proved to be a sublime two-hour escape. The pools, sauna, and steam room offered an oasis of tranquility, while I, being eight months pregnant, serenely floated in the temperate pool while my partner indulged in the full treatment cycle.

Our therapists, Michele and Joanna, surpassed all expectations with their six out of five-star massages. The treatment room itself exuded a soothing ambiance, and I was delighted to find that they easily accommodated my baby bump. We were also impressed with their selection of oils and ended up purchasing the exquisite neroli oil as a delightful take-home treat.

The spa excels in its attention to detail. From the refreshing flavored waters to the delectable tea and apples on offer, every aspect was catered to with the utmost care. The plush furnishings and first-class amenities further added to the overall luxurious atmosphere, while the massage tables were adorned with the fluffiest duvets I have ever experienced. Even the post-treatment ritual was a treat, with iced washcloths provided after our time in the whirlpool.

If I may offer one suggestion, it would be to provide a more size-inclusive selection of robes for all guests to fully embrace the spa experience.

In sum, our visit to this spa was an unforgettable journey that exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for those seeking a truly indulgent and rejuvenating experience.

Had such a relaxing massage after a day of skiing. If you get a massage or a facial you get to use the spa/ hotel facilities for 3 hours before or after your treatment. Great way to end off a trip to Banff. The hotel is also just beautiful.

The spa is amazing as always. I have been coming to the spa for over 20 years. It was quiet dissapointing to find out that there is now a 3 hour limit when it use to be a full day. It makes it hard to justify a drive out from Calgary for only 3 hours. Also, part the experience use to be enjoying lunch in the cozy lounge and now that is gone too. I was starving by the time I was done, so not sure how I would handle that in the future. This is definitely not a full spa experience anymore. What a shame.

Ok, so the spa is BEAUTIFUL 100% would recommend for the amenities. They have a co-ed relaxation area with beverages and snacks. Then it is separated for males and females for the change rooms, showers, steam room, sauna and on the female side they do have a hot tub in the middle of the steam and sauna. The mineral pool is for both males and females with different pools around it with different temperatures which is a beautiful scene. They have an outdoor hot tub which was nice on our rainy day.

The only bad that really made me choose 3 stars is the massage I got. My fiancé and I got a deep tissue massage by two different therapists and it was honestly the worst massage I’ve ever had. I get massages regularly and we were both worse than when we came in. The massage therapist didn’t even advise of after care which most do (hydrate etc) which I thought was strange. For a massage this expensive I expected way better.

Great facilities, great location, and great service. Outdoor hot springs are a plus as well!

My girls and I booked a spa day for my birthday weekend. We loved it. We loved the various pools and the overall customer service. It was a very enjoyable experience. The Steam Room could have been more steamy but that is our only complaint.

Joanna B was such a great massage therapist, the best massage I’ve ever had! (and I’m a nurse I’ve had many massages). The mineral pool and hot/cold baths are really nice after the spa. Fairmont has a lot of pools. The spa guest side as well as the pools that the hotel guests use. The spa side has indoor mineral pools and outdoor heated hot tub) (take a door to the hotels where there is a separate large outdoor heated pool and large indoor pool (kids seemed to enjoy both).

Well equipped and facilities. Spent an evening there for massage and enjoyed the spa facilities after skiing.

We've been there 3weeks ago. And we enjoyed and loved the service of the friendly staff there. Highly recommended to all. After the experience you will feel the "new rejunevated you"
