Faj Medical Clinic (Family practice and Walk in Clinic)

Very warmfjl and confortável Wall in clinic. Starting to the Attendet who is very kind and profissional. She did all mesures and first clinical parameters verification patiently in out family. Dr. Raj ir very organized personal, focused and gentle at same time. It was our first appointment and he requestes laboratories and image exams. Thank you Dr Raj.

WARNING The only doctor here is truly cruel, mean spirited and has an anger problem. I went here needing care for being sick and left needing therapy for trauma. This man should not be in medical or even allowed to work with people. I would never wish for one of my loved ones to go through what I went through when I was needing care the most. Worst doctor experience of my life -

Dr. Faj does not perform hand hygiene. He wears gloves to open the doors and then takes you in where he continues to use the computer with the same gloves. He will then proceed to examine with the same gloves. After the examination he will go to the reception with you grab the prescription while wearing the same gloves. At this point probably wearing the same gloves between patients. Please perform hand hygiene between patients, before aseptic procedures and after contact with patient.

The doctor rolled his eyes at me and dismissed my concern. “I don’t need to check anything, ” he said, “that is not a medical problem. ” Then he walked towards the door to lead me out of the room before I can even provide further details. He did not even ask if I was tested for anything, if I am currently taking any meds, or if there’s anything that happened recently that triggered the issue. I felt unsafe and disrespected. Please be warned.

Doctor wasn't able to remove few small stitches from my hand. He said he cannot do anything. Are you a doctor or who?
He removed them from other hand though, so giving 2 stars instead of 1.

My appointment started with the administrator asking me to take off my shoes and put on shoe covers. I put them on over my shoes, but then I found out that I needed to take off my shoes and put the covers on my bare feet to prevent them from dirtying the floors (despite the fact that there is no snow outside and the streets are dry). I thought it was a joke, but I saw several other patients sitting barefoot in just the shoe covers, their feet on the cold tile floor without any slippers. Their shoes were simply left on the carpet since there was no designated place for them. I was very surprised because it was the first time in my life I've seen such an attitude towards patients, but I didn't want to argue. I put the covers on my socks and walked on the cold tile floor, waiting for my turn.

I was concerned about my constant coughing with blood for over a month and the difficulty in breathing. Before bedtime, I literally suffocate, and I start having panic attacks. I visited this doctor (Dr. Olaitan Fajimi) about 10 days ago with the same issue, but he prescribed me syrup and told me to come back only if it doesn't help. After 10 days with no improvement, I expected to get a referral for an X-ray or at least some tests to understand what's happening with my lungs and why I, at 21 years old, am struggling to breathe for no apparent reason.

The doctor, after hearing all this information, began to listen to my chest through my shirt and sweater with a stethoscope, ignoring my wheezing and dry cough. He concluded, "Everything is normal! " I was shocked by this and asked how he could determine that everything is normal and why my month-long cough and nightly breathing difficulties are considered normal to him. He started laughing and said he's the doctor, and I shouldn't worry about anything because he has patients who have been coughing for 10 years. (I have no doubt this is true with a doctor like him.) Whenever I asked for clarification or assistance, he responded rudely, ridiculed me, and reminded me that I came to a free clinic, not a private one, and if I didn't like the doctor, I could easily choose another clinic. He showed no sympathy or empathy towards the patients; he only cared about the numbers on his computer. Such people should not work in such a respected profession. I want to say that I will definitely change the clinic, but at the same time, I will write letters to all possible authorities, asking for an investigation into your clinic and the professional suitability of your "doctor" who endangers people's lives. Patients who silently walk away (at most leaving a negative review) are doing you a great favor by allowing you to continue mistreating people. I will do everything possible to make your clinic either cease functioning or operate without this "doctor. " You are absolutely meaningless and useless.

Dr. Faj sucks. Straight up.

He was extremely condescending & had zero compassion. He refused to do anything for me. Wouldn’t listen to my concerns. I could go on.

He absolutely is not a professional, expert, or reputable doctor. After reading all other reviews, his license could use some investigation.

The fact that he responds to every bad review in a comment says it all. People don’t get defensive if they are innocent.

If I could give zero stars I would.

I don’t typically give or write reviews but given this clinics low rating, I felt the need to give Faj Medical some love. I’ve been seeing Dr. Faj for a couple years and he’s always been nice, professional, respectful and understanding of my needs. If I have questions, he’s open to answering and I feel reassured by the information I’m given. The receptionists are quiet but kind. Generally, I’ve never had a bad experience so am surprised by the reviews. The pharmacist next door is also lovely.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Never in my life have I experienced or interacted with a horrible doctor. Came in with my toddler who was in discomfort. This so call doctor immediately rolled his eyes and asked us why she is crying so much. Well.she’s 2 and uncomfortable. Not even sure how this guy got his medical license.

I was sadly turned away due to the doctor claiming he doesn’t check patients as walk in. I wanted to get blood work checked as I felt my urine was more foamy than usual, as well as it being over a year on my routine check up on overall health. Since I did extreme dieting in the past I have the same check up year after year, same requisition form. He chose to not give me any medial advice and turned me away as soon as I came in and told him. I am heavily tattooed and not sure if it was discrimination but it sure seemed like it.
He never even chose to look into my past on their medical history.

Anyways I would never advise anyone to go here and would suggest higher levels of customer care.

Family physician was not available so sought out this walk-in clinic. Dr did want to listen to recommendation from 811 for COVID symptoms they asked to have physician check chest, ears and throat instead Dr only prescribed list of medications. Main issue was breathing difficulties and this Dr never even checked lungs, no physical contact at all. Ended up going to Emergency because I had no confidence in his training.

Always a great experience with Dr. Faj! Helped me tremendously with my recovery from ACL reconstruction years ago and he's been my go-to since. I love his no-nonsense, direct approach to my concerns and questions. I always feel confident and at ease attending this clinic because I know my needs will be met and concerns addressed by a knowledgeable, capable and awesome Doctor!

Very invalidating clinic, I came with a concern that is affecting my life and everything is treated lightly and they didn’t want to listen to the symptoms I have. I was told I was disrespectful for trying to explain what I’m going through.
No care, and I left more frustrated than before.

Called at 5: 20 when all other places were closing and they said they could fit me at 5: 50. Took my 5 year old in and he was like a different kid by bedtime. So impressed with the ease, order and care we were shown and how fitting us in saved us hours of bawling in an ER or urgent care centre. Thank you!

Came on Saturday Feb. 25th 2023.
The lady not even welcoming me when I got that empty walk-in clinic. I was the only person after lunch, but the receptionist seems ready to go home not to give service. In my whole life here in Calgary, this is the only and I hope will be the only rudest, unkind, and there’s no manners at all when I got in. This is the Empties walk-in clinic, no wonder why. I was trying my best not to get any single word to this lady because I am not like her not even thinking what she was saying.

Scenario “ receptionist: could you please remove your shoes,
Me: i was thinking, and I asked her, why?
Receptionist: because you need to wear this!

It was blue plastic cover for shoes not for my feet. It was cold outside even tiles inside, why on earth this lady was asking me to do this, which wasn’t the proper way how to do it or wear those blue plastic cover for shoes.

I was there because I have cold and not feeling well and I got cold feet already.

Her reason was this. Receptionist: because the tiles will get wet and dirty. It is hard for us to clean it.

Me: but it is more hard for me to get more sick.

Then big haist my self and left frustrated and upset.

Orientation is very important for employees.
Ignorance cannot cure. Learning is the key to execute exceptional performance in every job or work that we are having.

I'll give 2 stars because phone call appointments are OK! I get my prescription when needed but idk who I speak too.
Coming into this Clinic I only have had bad experiences, With the Lady Doctor which failed to help me properly due to her rule like no wonder there is so many bad reviews, terrible and receptionist was adding to the problem too. Overall it was a waste of my time twice.

No need to reiterate, just read all the other comments. This is the not the clinic if you value your dignity and wellbeing.

I am very happy for this clinic. One of the few that opens on a Sunday. I needed a dr.note for work and while I did have to pay for it ($30), it was an extremely easy and uncomplicated process. Thank you again!

Will be finding another Doctor after Dr Fajimi arrogantly & callously dismissed my concerns today. He did not bother to examine me or ask further questions. Would not recommend him to any one who wants proper medical care.

I have been with Dr. Fajimi for a few years now and he was always polite and helpful. Personally I find him quite approachable and knowledgeable.

Friendly and efficient receptionist. I needed a virtual phone appointment with a walk-in doctor, was booked and phoned shortly after.

Needed antibiotics got proscribed steroids. Customer service is god awful. Receptionist looks like she wants to kill herself bad vibes form her. Doctor proscribed the medication before seeing me and she gave me the wrong stuff. Go to any other location even if you are desperate, wait 9h at the emergency hospital before coming here.

STAY AWAY from this Clinic! I walked in their clinic and was turned away stating their reason that they won’t see any clients with respiratory concerns- mine being sinus symptoms. I was told that the doctor will be phoning me today but I had not received any call. When I phoned them, they did not apologize for not being accommodating or for failing to phone me. They claimed to have phoned me twice and are probably charging the government for calling me but there is no record of their phone call even when I confirmed that they had my correct number on file. They also just told me that they cannot help me and that they are closed. From reception to actual services from a clinic, this is unacceptable!

***Pls READ other online reviews, as I had a similar experience. I believe the bad reviews as I had experienced the same kind of unprofessional treatment from this clinic.

This place is great. I have only come in for minor things but the wait times has been short and the service is great. I go out of my way to come here.

I randomly called this place because I wasn't getting help from my own Clinic Reception staff. The Doctor called me back in under 20 mins and prescribed me something. WOW what GREAT SERVICE! Thank you so much!

I didn’t want to go to this clinic because of the reviews but other clinics had long wait time so I decided to go here.
I went to this clinic with a lump in my throat and the doctor looked at me and said it my might be Covid and he cannot help me, after I told him I had no symptoms of Covid. He literally said “I cannot help you” and asked me to go to a pharmacist. I was in there for exactly 2mins. I should have trusted the reviews, do not make the same mistake I did.

Today my partner & I went in as walk ins. I have to say, I could see why some of these reviews say the receptionist isn’t great. The receptionist wasn’t very friendly, however she was very efficient. We waited about 5 minutes to be seen by Dr. Fajimi - there wasn’t anyone else waiting to be fair. The doctor himself was AMAZING. He was very friendly, had a sense of humour, and yet was professional. He addressed our concerns & questions efficiently and was very polite. I would definitely recommend coming here for walk in or for regular visits.

I don't feel that doctor cares about your time or your illness. I expected more, not just a simple "you are good". That's really sad, don't want to come here anymore.

My elbow was severely bruised after falling on ice, and was unable to find any clinics that were open on Sunday, apart from Dr. Faj's. Then I read the negative reviews and became hesitant, but eventually decided to go in for a visit because the pain got worse. Not trying to invalidate the negative reviews, but I am unsure why there are so many negative reviews because I had an extremely pleasant experience at this clinic from the receptionist to the doctor to the pharmacist. Thankfully the clinic was pretty empty, so they took me in as a walk-in patient with a wait time of 5 minutes.
Dr. Faj kindly greeted me and welcomed me into the examination room. Then he patiently listened to my situation and examined my elbow. Because I was still able to move my arm and there were no evident indications of a broken arm, he prescribed me a couple of tablets for a week to help ease the pain and recommended icing the elbow for 20 minutes intermittently. He's a pretty funny guy and continuously made jokes too which was nice. He was even kind enough to give me a cream to help with the bruising for free.
On top of that, the clinic was extremely clean and tidy; they asked all patients to wear shoe scrubs to ensure cleanliness.

Used to think he was a great doctor. Little did I know his incompetence and ignorance has caused me further health issues.

Waste my time.
He only cares to get a new patient.
Not even listen what happen.
Just said Be his patient or go to fine other, no listen.
Never go again even i sick to die.
Even a receptionist is so rude just like the doctor. Do not waste your time to go there.

TL; DR:
Horrible doctor, terrible person. Would not recommend in a million years.

As mentioned in some of the recent reviews, Dr. Olaitan Fajimi, by far provided the worst service I have yet to see in the medical industry. His lack of professionalism, bedside manner, and genuine disregard for my needs was abysmal. Not only as a medical professional, but even just as a compassionate human being, he failed on all regards.

Regardless of my condition, Dr. Fajimi publicly berated me for offering suggestions based from advice that I received from other physicians at other clinics. He insisted that I go to my family doctor and not waste his time as he is currently under a lot of stress. If he needs help to deal with the stress, I would advise him to seek the help of a professional.

I went to him because I could not get an appointment with my family doctor in a timely manner and the pain and discomfort were too strong for me to wait for a later appointment. In the middle of our 5-minute appointment, Dr. Fajimi insulted me because I want to discuss advice given from other physicians. He felt the need to remind me that patients are not very intelligent and that they should leave all medical inquiries to professionals. The suggestions that I was bringing to Dr. Fajimi were from other physicians.

He insulted my profession as an engineer. He walked over to a piece of medical equipment, pointed to it, and asked me if he was expected to fully understand the equipment as he is not an engineer. I respond with no. His response to that being that I should not question his judgement, his opinion, or his intelligence. This was completely unnecessary and ironic, as he did not provide me any of his own advice for my condition.

At this point, I ended our brief interaction. On the way out, Dr. Fajimi continued to insult me in the reception area, in front of his receptionist, stating that I am the worst patient he has ever had. His demeanor is beyond unprofessional, insulting, and rude. I highly advise seeking the advice of another physician.

Unhappy with Dr Fajimi, he is not professional to a doctor. If you went to his clinic and nearby clinic (MCI midtown), It is a interesting fact that there is no patient or few patients go to his clinic, but more patients in the nearby clinic.

Night and Day.

My first experience at the clinic went relatively well as expected however my follow up appointment with Dr. Faj was appalling at how unprofessional the appointment went.

My appointment was scheduled for 1: 50 however Dr. Faj decided to take the 2: 00 appointment made by another patient with out asking me, still not sure as to why.

Once I was in the room with dr.faj the exam took roughly 15 seconds followed up my him completely disregarding and condemning the previous doctor's diagnosis (a doctor from the same clinic.)

I was in the appointment for a follow up on a WCB claim which they had a list of information and questions I was to ask the doctor, well I wish I could have asked any of them with out constantly being interrupted.

So with a pathetic examination, slander on a fellow dr, refusal to listen to the patient, this was all followed up by Dr. Faj repeatedly telling me that I either return to work with an injury he did nothing to inquire about or quit my job.

Thanks for nothing.

Edit: curious to know who exactly they asked permission because it wasnt me. And his recommendation was that I quit my job, So yes I'm not satisfied and will clearly be going to another physician who cares about his patients and not about just shoveling them in and out as quickly as possible.

Dr Fajimi is not professional and totally ignore my California health history. I have upper right quadrant pain almost 6 years, and several doctors in New York and California have diagnosed it as a gallbladder issue. 2 weeks ago, the upper right quadrant pain just came back and I visit Dr Fajimi. He asked me to bring my health history. When I came home, I sent it to Dr Fajimi. But when I visit him again, he ignored the information on the report (On the report, there is an active problems section, gallbladder disease is in that list). He didn’t trust a health history report which is generated by a hospital in California. He refused to help me solve my problem with more further testing and scanning.

I fully trusted him but he didn't trust me, even printed report which is written by other specialist.

The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I got an appointment very fast and could meet with a doctor.

Worst service ever received in a clinic.
Go in with an emergency with legs and face bleeding from shattered glass, asked to wait 40 minutes, preferred to wait outside with bloody face only to be told 30 minutes later that the appointment has to be cancelled as they have to clean up the office.
Not even willing to consider it's an emergency.
If you have to be a useless doctor atleast be considerate about somebody s condition before bringing disrepute to your medical profession.

Edit # 2. - - - I have been seen by lots of walk in clinics without my health card. They normally ask me to email the details to them or call them back with them later. I imagine i was profiled for being native american as these downtown practices always assume we want pain meds. I went to the sheldon chumir centre, they actually took me in and helped like medical professionals.

The doctor is so thorough when he explained my symptoms. The pharmacist next door is also so friendly, she explained every steps how to take my medicine without rushing it through. I hope I don’t need to go back to see the doctor anytime soon but if I need to, I’ll definitely come back to this place.

Dr. Fajimi is super friendly and considerate whenever I've visited. I've always received great care from him and his staff, would highly recommend!

Dr Faj is a super hero like you see in movies. Had a skin challenge for over a year and solved the issue within a week after I saw him. Thanks alot Dr Faj. Also the ambience in your clinic is superb very chilled Atmosphere you'd never want to leave.

Unfortunate to say, considering all the 5 star reviews (Which is a big surprise to me) Dr. Olaitan Fajimi can be condescending, and very passive aggressive. Not what you would want from a doctor.

Dr Faj came out of his room to inspect my condition before asking me on my decision with no charge at all unless i proceeded with him. He was super friendly and polite and managed to finish up the minor procedure on me successfully. There was no wait time and i could see why this clinic is rated so highly.

As someone who was travelling alone and just recently arrived in Canada, Dr Faj salvaged my trip and made me feel so much better. You’d definitely have one more loyal patient if i ever move to the North.

Wonderful doctor. Great knowledge base and really, genuinely cares about his patients. He spends time to make sure he's doing the best he can do.

My two experiences at the clinic, has been nothing short of amazing. The doctor took his time to listen to and address all my concerns, and provided effective treatment. The pharmacist at the pharmacy connected to the clinic is awesome, she goes through everything, explains and questions contraindications- which is a huge plus! Great team!

I just met with Dr Fahimi and he was kind enough to take the time to understand my long history with eczema and advise on how best to proceed. As a newcomer it’s comforting to see doctors who take patient welfare so seriously and make the effort to provide advise in the patients best interest! Thank you and see you soon!

Great experience as a walk-in client. The receptionist, doctor, and pharmacist (pharmacy attached next door) were all extremely friendly and helpful. Brand new building and office and short wait times. Would recommend 10/10 for anyone looking for a new family doctor or walk-in appointments.

I saw Dr Fajimi as a walk in patient as I couldn’t get in with my regular physician. Dr. Famiji was wonderful to work with. He truly listened to my concern and took the time to have a discussion with my and be a partner in my health.

I am so grateful to Dr. Fajimi for quickly discerning the seriousness of the symptoms my best friend was experiencing and for advising emergency medical care needed to be procured. He helped save my friend and for this I will be forever grateful. Thank you as well to the kind receptionist who called me immediately to let me know I had left my notebook behind in the office.

I really recommend this clinic. There is no wait, they work at very convenient hours so you can accommodate an appointment in your schedule and not the other way around, staff very friendly. Dr, Fajimi is very knowledgeable, caring and precise. I have had an amazing experience.

Very helpful doctor, caring, listening. I came for my eyes and he identified the problem immediately and offered solutions. The reception staff is helpful too and there is no waiting time, so very happy with treatment received. I'll recommend it to my friends.

My daughter was having a fever and after calling 811 the nurse recommended me to bring her to the closest walk in clinic just to make sure she's ok. Dr. Fajimi was great with my 11 month old. He was thorough and took his time to look at her. The clinic also uses medimap.ca so I could check before I went and lucky there was no line up at the time.

Very good experience at the clinic. I was under massive back pain and I felt the doctor was attentive to my complaint and did a good examination and diagnosis.
