First Place Realty

We didn't even need a realtor. We bought our home off of a friend and I thought a realtor would just get in the way of an otherwise friendly transaction, but I could not have been more wrong. Marwan Charanek at first place realty let us discuss a lot of things on a personal level but also made sure that some of the trickier points, or things that could have potentially been quite strenuous on a friendship, were handled by him in a very calm and professional manner. It made the whole experience so much simpler and made a potentially tumultuous situation into a fun and painless process that everyone involved was happy to be part of.

Marwan Charanek at First Place Realty is the full package. I’ve been thinking for a long time how best to describe our interactions and relationship with Marwan and keep it brief but it’s tricky. He is simply the best. In every way that a realtor can be great, he is a 10 out of 10.
I am a fairly sceptical person. I think if someone seems calm, relaxed and fun, he can’t be hard working. If someone is really nice and makes a business interaction so enjoyable that I would practically want to do it voluntarily in my free time, then of course they must be sleazy and just really good at schmoozing people. By contrast if someone is hard working then they must be stuck up, boring and only focused on the work. So yeah, I’m pretty jaded.
In reality though, Marwan proved me wrong at every turn. I cannot praise this man enough. We loved every interaction we had with Marwan. We looked forward to him coming over when we had something to go over. He made everything quick and painless while also making sure we understood everything. Then we would jab each other a bit about our opposing hockey teams or chat about where things were at with packing and planning for the move. We got a great price selling our old home and an even better deal on the one we bought (which we love and is perfect for us). Even weeks after everything was done he would check in or we would randomly text him to ask about various things about realty, housing, the NHL or just life. As I said, I cannot say enough good things about our interactions with Mar!

As a first time home buyer I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. But having Marwan Charanek by my side in this adventure was the best decision I made. He went out of his way to answer every question I had and was extremely professional helping me find the best home for me. He was very personal and honest throughout my adventure. The best quality to me about Marwan Charanek was that he wasn't afraid to give his honest opinion about homes we looked at that weren't a good deal and steered me away from many because of reasons like that. I really felt that he was there for me and the sale was secondary.

Jinny Jung helped me to purchase a condo in downtown Calgary while I was in overseas. She was very patient and dilligent in the process. She explained very well how the process would go and answered any questions I had as a first-time home buyer. If anyone is looking to buy or sell a real estate, I highly recommend this industry professional.
