Fish Creek Bottle Depot

Had to drop bottles off in-between appointments, this was the closest one. Popped in and it was clean and the process was quick and easy. Staff were attentive and came out and showed me to the table to have my bottle sorted almost immediately. It's a little farther than our local depot, but I am more than willing to switch to this location just for a seamless quick drop off experience! AND they take those damn refundable takeout containers I have been paying deposits for, when other places just throw them back and say they don't take them! Thanks!

They do not count properly. Im unsure if its accidental or intentional. They definitely get defensive if you question their count. If you return a bunch at once, make sure you count as they count. Go somewhere else.

Few things I like about the depot its clean, well kempt, less stinky then others. Automated process for prompt turn around, they just do hand sorting for milk jugs etc. I have visited this place many times and there is no line up. You bring your stuff in a garbage bag, dump it on the table, the cashier does the hand sorting and machine does its thing you get the receipt scan at the money despenser pick up cash and done. I saw reviews about poor customer service, the environment is quite loud and I dont expect them to speak or take their ear plugs off, I got a smile every time and thats enough. I would suggest bring your ear plugs as it can be quite loud for obvious reasons. Over all highly recommended. Follow for more.

Extremely poor service, workers just stand back with blank expressions saying nothing to anyone comes in. Not even a "Thank you". On top of this you'll always get less than you think because they mis-count your items. Worst place to go recycling

What an awesome bottle depot!

We went into this location with quite a few bags of bottles, thinking it would take all morning blah, Mondays, am I right? Well boy wells I wrong, they had automatic sorting and counting machines. It was so quick and efficient and with the machines it makes me feel like I am getting the correct amount of money back.

You might want to clean your parking lot! I wasn't expecting to step out of my car into a huge puddle of water!

Got shorted pretty blatantly but the flat was gone before I could protest. 24 bottles but clerk only punched in 14, and another flat of 16 bottles was punched in as 12. Pretty shady business practices at this place, won't be going back.

Dishonest. Had 2 of us go in with different bottle counts and one with a significantly larger amount. Both of us ended getting the exact same lower amount. Don't turn your bottles here. They will scam you.

Automated lane system, tones of employees, fast and efficient. Never seem to get my count wrong. I specifically drive here to do my bottles.

Great experience at fish creek bottle depot. The staff were very kind and friendly. The staff worked expectionally well. I pre-counted my bottles before bringing them in to the bottle depot and they counted the same amount I brought in. I recommend everyone to come to this bottle depot. I will always be bringing my bottles here.

Very clean and efficient. Windows all along the front make for a bright space which is appreciated. Have been going here for many years and it has always been good.

Relocated from West Vancouver this summer. My first visit to the depot. Impressive, slick operation. They make it very easy for you. West Vancouver, you have a lot to learn.

The excellent service keeps me coming back. I have occasionally tried different bottle depots. They never really take, and I find myself heading back to Fish Creek.

Was given some attitude by Gurjot today as I was at stall 14 having my bottles counted. I was told to get my bottles out of the way so that Gurjot could assist customers at stall 13. How do I do that? Stall 14 is tiny and I had 9 contractor bags worth of bottles! The tone was unnecessary. I do however give the business 3 stars as they're well organized, typically a short wait, a sink to wash, and a good payment system.

I always show up with the same amount of bags, same content over an average month, so it's easy to evaluate the pay.

Those guys underpay significantly.

I have lived in the neighbour for over 20 years and have tried all the bottle depots in the area. Fish Creek Bottle Depot is by far the cleanest, most well organized and efficient one I have used. I never go anywhere else.

Either they dont know know how to count, or there theives.
I went to this depot for the first time, i brought in 5 large black garbage bags. At my usual depot i average over $10 per bag.
After 5 bags at Fish Creek Depot, they gave me $28 that is an average of $5.60.
There is no F'N way that 5 large bags of cans and bottles only gets $28.
I will not return and I strongly encourage everyone else to do the same.

I've been going to this bottle depot for the last 6 years. I recently moved and even though there's bottle Depots a few minutes closer I still go here for the fast, efficient and clean service.

They have a very clean and organized store. Their staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. I've been going to their store for 6 years now and my experience there, every time I have been there has been great. I recommend this store to everyone!

Been coming to this Depot since it opened. Ive got to know many of the people who work here. Everyone is polite and easy to talk to. Very clean, an area to wash your hands and always accurate on the count. Been to other Bottle depots that are messy, poor equipment and staff that really hate working at their jobs.
I could go to other bottle depots that are closer, but love coming here because of the efficiency and overall happy environment.

From a longtime MidSun resident: There seems to be accuracy issues with bottle counts. It’s hard to say if it’s because of a lack of attention or a deliberate act. My usual 3 large orange bags of recycling of consistently bottles has differed by up to $15, never in my favour. The depot staff is, at best, indifferent. The overall feeling I get is that they take their customers for granted.

One of the best places in Canada for recycling. Soo many stations and so effective. Keep up the great work Fish Creek Bottle Depo!

I live close to three other bottle depots, but the Fish Creek bottle depot is worth the drive by far! Always clean and the staff are amazingly friendly! Always smiling and they wave for customers to approach (I've been to places where they yell and sound annoyed)

I've been coming to this depot for a few years and will only take my bottles to this depot. The employees are fast, efficient and accurate with the counts. They will also go above and beyond and help with carts.
The depot is clean and well taken care of.

If you don’t count the bottles yourself, you WILL NOT get your moneys worth, you should see the difference it’s absolutely ridiculous.and even once they notice you counting (because they obviously can’t do their job all by themselves) they are rude and glare at you and continue to try to pull it off, hun you’re not sly, like sorry i bought the bottles? Sorry i want my money? I don’t really know but really wouldn’t recommend and neither do any of my buddy’s

Very clean and organized location. They are very efficient with getting people in and counting the bottles. Very accurate. Has a nice sink with soap and a dryer. There is a macheine that scans the receipt to dispense the money. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Staff is friendly and they get you in and out quick, even on the weekends. Having a sink with warm water is a plus. They’ve become our goto in the area

Fisk Creek Bottle Depot is usually clean and organized. They are very efficient with getting people in and counting the bottles. There’s also a nice sink with soap and a dryer. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I find they are never accurate in the counts. Same number of bags with only cans and sometimes they are $10-$20 less then any other depot. Long lines and slow service.

I find this place not worth it.

Great service and very efficient operation. I love the new ATMs to redeem (or donate) your return slip. The staff are always friendly, and in my last visit, I noticed how clean and well-maintained the facility was. My bottle depot of choice!

Very efficient operation, with carts at the ready and someone at the door to guide you to an available bottle counter. I love the modernized feel with monitors and electronically printed tickets to redeem your refund at a cash machine at the far end.

During this visit, my bottle counter was a young lady who was friendly and smiled. I know sometimes, there can be a language barrier and that's why a smile can make a big difference. I felt that taking my bottles here was appreciated.

Everything was clean and I was very happy that the floor was not sticky. If there are any suggestions, I would recommend installing a motion sensor faucet and a motion sensor paper towel dispenser (to save water and to ensure your hands are dry and truly clean). These modern features are now almost standard features in most restaurants and malls.

Fish Creek has been our family's go-to, trusted bottle depot for years. The renovations with screens showing each amount earned based on the type and number of items you have is a great touch.

This depot has recently been upgraded - with newer sinks, paper towel & air-driers, along with barcode scanner receipts. There are also computer screens to show tallies - as they are entered. I pre-sort my bottles/cans/etc so I know what I am expecting. I cannot comment on others' experiences with being shorted monies (which completely sucks), but I've not experienced that, and hopefully never will.
Suggestion: pre-count and go to that line (they'll know you know what you're expecting back - at least in numbers).

The service is very fast and efficient. The inside is clean and there are sinks with soap and paper towel so you can clean up after unloading bottles. You're in-and-out within no time, clean with some extra cash.

This place is great. Never more than a few minutes' wait, and the staff are really friendly.

They have a sink as well as hand dryer and paper towels, and candy for the kids (or yourself.) at the exit.

My favourite bottle depot. Staff are always fast and friendly. From what I can tell, they are very accurate (I typically count along with them). Even when it's busy, I never have to wait long as they always have plenty of staff on hand to help.

I respect this organized, clean bottle depot and especially the people that make it a smooth visit. This is not an easy job for the women and men that take our bottles on the front line and I am always greeted with a smile.

The facility has a proper wash station and all the employees go the distance to make you drop-off fast and painless.

I like how I can see my total building on the
screen. I get handed my ticket and sent on my way with yet another smile and my day gets a little better right there.

Didn't accept bi metal or steel cans like they state on their own website. Waste of time only accepts plastic drinks containers, glass bottles and cans.

Great service, always friendly staff. I come all the time with bottles from home and large van full of bottles from work and no matter how many garbage bags I seem to have, I’m in and out in under 15 minutes! They’re so fast! They’re even great keeping my kids entertained and happy while we wait!

Best bottle depot, I was in and out in 5 minutes! Lots of open lanes and digital display of counting. Automated cash machine as well.

I always go to this bottle depot but sadly to say this might be last every time I go I ripped off 10-40$ I started to pre count my bottle and purposely didn’t go the express pre counted lane. And they never give me the amount to a bottle and I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but they haven’t changed and I doubt they will! My wife always helps them like passing them bottle and stuff and being super friendly and kind and they never have any to say. I wish they would change there attitude and treat us better as long term customers! And pay me what I bring in for my bottle the proper amount!

I count my bottles before I go each time and every time I’m off by 10-30$ and I was help them and talk with them always very friendly and hey never say anything back and short me every time and this last time they wouldn’t take a bottle that said clearly on it refund where applicable! I pay a deposit when I buy it I expect a deposit return when I take them in. I keep going here trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but it will be the last time I go here unless they starting giving me the exact amount for the number of bottles brought in.
