This veterinary I will never visit again. All they do is preach putting your pet down when they can’t fix some thing. I can’t stand these people and hope to God that karma hits you guys a thousandfold. God save your souls.

Our boy Tanner wasn't feeling well on a Monday and by Tuesday he was skinny, wouldn't move, and couldn't keep anything down longer then a few minutes. Took him back to our vet and gave us a referral here for what he had. He spent three night with the wonderful staff there while they brought him back from literally the brink of death (parvo is what he had). The staff here was truly amazing. They called me twice a day to give us updates on how he was doing and sent photos of our boy and brought him back. It was extremely hard on us that he had a good chance of not pulling through and we just had to sit and wait to see what was going to happen. The Dr's and support staff had all the answers we needed. They were available for us to call 24/7 they were friendly and consoling through these times for us. We just got our buddy home this evening and couldn't be happier with the amount of care they showed to our boy and us at the same time. I would recommend them to everyone at anytime. Thank you for saving our boy. Theses a special place in our hearts for you all. Thank you

Updated: I really hate to have to remove stars but unfortunately things have changed. My last visit I took my cat because she couldn’t pee. Turned out she had crystals and a uti. My cat will not eat the prescription diet foods. And the only reason I switch to a different food (to tiki cat) from her normal raw feed is because she has issued digesting bone. Unfortunately tiki caused crystals and a a uti. I was told by the vet this would never clear up if she doesn’t eat the prescription which actually wasn’t true. So since she wouldn’t eat the prescription food I found a raw feed with eggshell instead of bone. So she wouldn’t get constipated from bone content. Added extra water to the food etc.used something called bladder support I got from big country raw, huge success rates with crystal dissolving with the reviews of the product. I did call fish creek to explain she would not eat the prescription diet at all. And she would in fact starve herself which is the worst thing for a uti because she won’t drink water. Also they can develop a fatty liver. Set up to have a phone consultation with the vet that saw her and I never got the phone consultation. I gave up because she was starting to feel better so I kept feeding her the raw with eggshell, bladder support and Purna probiotics to help with her gut because of the antibiotics. Once the antibiotics were done, a week later I got a second urinalysis. No crystals found. Uti was gone. And she didn’t have the prescription diet. I’m very disappointed because they didn’t suggest any other way to dissolve the crystals or anything it was a basic they will eventually eat it. No she won’t. The fact I never got that phone consult and was staying up late thinking maybe they would call me after emergencies were done and no call. Ok maybe the next day. No call. I got no call no help. She’s clear and crystal free without the use of a prescription diet. The antibiotics worked effectively so that was the one good thing from this vet was s good dose of antibiotics that kicked the uti.

Decently priced for emergency and they are very thoughtful and thorough. Took Angelica here back in September because she was rapid breathing and they diagnosed her with asthma and helped teach me how to give a cat medicine for asthma. Angelica is doing very well now thanks to a proper diagnosis. She’s only 3

Took Cleo here after getting a quote from what was supposed to be a cheaper and my family vet was busy. The vet I took Cleo to prior was terrible and didn’t do much for examining her and I would have broken the bank. I came to fish creek and it was actually cheaper. They did a thorough exam and we tried one thing to help her get back on her feet but it didn’t work so we took her back. Unfortunately she was suffering so we had to put her down. They were very kind to us and Cleo and went through everything. Cleo was almost 17. I will hopefully not have to come back to emergency with any of my cats anytime soon but if I do I will definitely bring them here.

This was also the vet clinic that diagnosed Angelica with fic when she had a urinary problem. A very hard thing to diagnose. But because of that I know how to deal with her when she gets flare ups

Biggest waste of time. Waited 6 hours to NOT get seen. We walked out after multiple pets got seen before ours even though they came in after us and waited just as long as we had been waiting. Obviously they didn't think our situation was a priority and could have at least communicated that with us. Maybe if I knew it was going to be a 6 hour wait I would have planned to go somewhere else.
There was a dog bleeding through a bandage in the lobby for at least 3 hours. Another dog with a massive cut in his shoulder and at least 10 other people in there waiting to be seen.

It wasn't until a person ran in with a dog seizing and physically dying in front of everyone that we decided to leave because yet again we would be left to wait. Obviously there are real emergencies that matter more than my dogs potential tooth infection/abcese and I understand that but a little communication goes a long way.

When we left we let the people at the desk know and we were met with the responses "oh sorry hahaha" and "best of luck" Unbelievable.

Don't bring your pet here if you are not prepared to wait an entire evening with the potential of being pushed aside and made to feel like your pet and your time don't matter. I will not be coming back.

We've been here several times for emergency visits, they're always so great with the animals and the staff at the front desk is awesome. Very kind and try to give you an accurate wait time. My last visit was about an hour and a half waiting but was worth it to get my dog checked out. They're very thorough checking everything even though it's an emergency issue. The vets really care about your pet. I would highly recommend them for anything.

This clinic has gone down hill horribly. We brought our cat in as he was not eating, lethargic and had slight swelling on his face. The vet did several tests as our cat was sedated such as; blood work, ultrasound and X-rays. Since he was being sedated we were told to go home, that they would call us back before they closed at midnight, to get him. We did not receive a call and started to call them. No one would pick up and we didn’t hear anything till about 4 am. We had no idea why they were keeping our cat over night, or if they were as they had “closed” and no one had called us. Once we got him they advised us they had no idea what was wrong with him and sent him home with different medication including antibiotics. When we were at the clinic they told us they did not believe his teeth had anything to do with the swelling as they looked good. We gave him the medicine as directed. Just over a week later our cat had an abscess burst open on his cheek were the swelling was. We called fish creek and the vet advised that, that must have been what was wrong and to just keep it clean and it would heal as he had already been on antibiotics. We did as told, however maybe two weeks later the swelling was back and it again burst open. We took him back to fish creek and told them we really thought this was coming from his teeth. After another bunch of money they said they still were sure it wasn’t his teeth and instead that because of his fur the wound just didn’t heal properly and caused another abscess. They shaved his face (shaving off all his whiskers on that side, causing him to a lot of discomfort since) and sent him home with more antibiotics and told us to keep him away from our other cat (we advised them that would not be possible to do.). Now a few weeks later he is bleeding underneath his chin and is drooling. We called fish creek and the receptionist wouldn’t ask a vet or vet tech if they thought we should bring him in or not, instead told us that this is because we didn’t get his teeth cleaned and that the vet told us this was his teeth and because we didn’t keep our other cat away. We advised her that we were not able to keep them separate and that we told the vet that as well as that the completely contradicts what the vet said to us. I told her that we told the vet we thought it was his teeth and would have had the surgery the first time had they said it was that, and that the vet was admit it was not his teeth. She was extremely rude and just said “ well that’s not what this says, so are you bringing him in or not? ” At this point I will never bring any of my pets back. The complete lack of care for animals here is disgusting. They new what was going on from the get go clearly and would rather prolong it causing us to spread 2 to 3 times what we would of off the bat rather than actually care for the animal. The fact they kept our cat past hours without any communication as well as shaving his whiskers off, which is well known to be harmful to cats further proves to us their complete lack of care for animals. I wouldn’t recommend anyone takes a pet here and will be making a formal complete regarding this clinics practices.

We love Fish Creek Vet; they've treated our animals for years. The last 2 visits we've seen Dr. Jay and he's absolutely wonderful. He's realistic, kind and easy to have a conversation with. My 2 dogs love him, he always takes his time with my big shy husky, and plays with my small outgoing terrier. He reads each animals needs well and is a great vet. The reception staff are always pleasant and kind!
