I checked them out online, and expected a low-service low-cost experience. I got low cost, but great service as well. The woman who served me gave me so much information to help me make an informed decision and I ended up getting everything that I needed within my budget. Some of their equipment is even cheaper than what people are trying to sell as second hand!

Was looking to pick up some additions for my home gym and my online search led me to fitness depot. I initially only was looking for weight plates but I found a ton of extra accessories for other things and the prices were great. I got in, told them what I needed and got some great suggestions/alternatives without them being pushy in any way. Definitely will be going back when I do my next round of upgrading on my home gym.

I had purchased fitness equipment from Fitness Depot around 10 years ago and I had been very happy with the solid advice I received and after sales service. I sold all my equipment as I was moving. Now I recently decided to buy new cardio/gym equipment for my new home. I was looking for sturdy and long lasting equipment without any gimmicky displays and subscription models. I looked at few other stores and online platforms and was disappointed with rip off subscriptions and poor build quality that many consumer brands now a days offers. Lowell provided great advise on right treadmill without any marketing sales pitch and he was very helpful. We selected Precor Treadmill and I am very happy with it. There were few minor issues during assembly and Lowell helped quickly resolve it.
Fitness Depot which used to be one of the finest showroom in past has now reduced to warehouse kind of minimalist set up - may be effect of intrusion of cheaper gimmicky equipment on online platforms. Their showroom may not look very inviting but If you are looking for solid advice and reliable equipment, I definitely recommend it.

We were really impressed with the customer service from Katherine! We showed up after going to a local competitor that just seemed annoyed we were in there store, and were grateful to be met with someone knowledgable of the products that also wanted to help us meet our goals. She managed to get us everything on our wish list for setting up a home gym, all while meeting our budget and sourcing high quality products. We are particularly impressed with the Precore treadmill and weight bench we bought- both seem very sturdy and like they will last. With it being minus a billion degrees out this week, we have happily been enjoying our new home gym. Thanks Katherine!

Is a great location. Awesome equipment. The staff is not friendly and they look angry all the time. If you get better staff this store would be great.

Needed a set of dumbells and Lowell was able to source them for me in their warehouse in BC. Easy online shopping from 600 km away and he kept me up to date on delivery status. Exceptional customer service.

Great value and plenty of selection in a no-frills showroom. The woman at the front counter was friendly and helpful. They could do a little better with price tags, but if you were there, it's likely you shop things out on their website ahead of time and know what you're looking for.

I purchased a Leg press hack squat from this company. I like to read reviews about the product before purchasing but couldn't find any on the website (curious). Anyhow, I purchased the machine, paid full price. However, when I received the product there were missing pieces (bolts, locknuts, washers, caps), scratches in various areas, the wheels for the carriage had wear on them and the bearings were falling off. This was supposed to be a new product, that's why I paid full price. I have called the company several times to question them on this, only to receive voicemail.
I went onto website and left a review on the Leg press hack squat, submitted it, only for the review to be erased - no wonder I couldn't find anything on the product. Now we're here.
Bad investment, not worth the money and the customer service after delivery does not exist.

Just want to give a shout out to Katherine for helping me out today, excellent customer service. Very patient and knowledgeable. Also shout out to the two gentlemen who helped carry out the products I ordered for me to my car. Everything went smoothly!

Been shopping here for years. Great experience. Occasionally have to wait for a product to come in but patience pays off.

Was in today to pick up some power blocks, got lots of information without a sales pitch, they know their stuff - highly recommend.

Horrible service and don't return phone calls. I preordered some dumbbells paid by credit card. I ended up finding a better deal at Forte Fitness in Edmonton so i decided to cancel my order. When they refunded me they mentioned a restocking fee would be charged of 5% unreal considering the dumbbells weren't even stocked to begin with and charged me $85! I tried to dispute this matter with the rep and he said there's nothing he can do as his boss don't care.

Katherine helped my wife and I get the necessary equipment for a solid home gym. She was helpful and informative. Would highly recommend!

Try to shop local and not buy online. Walk in the store and told I can't look for what I need. I dont know exactly what I need. Went in to find out. Research and buy.

I tried calling beforehand. I tried their online chat service. Got nowhere. So went in. I never will visit the store again.

I tried calling this location multiple times & no one answered. Also, I emailed this location early last week & haven't received an reply. Finally, I went in today wanting to buy a christmas gift as the item I wanted was instock according to online. However, when I went in store the item was not available but would be later this week. Apparently, they are not accepting any returns due to COVID. This is very frustrating as there is a possibility the item may not work. Other store are accepting returns so I don't understand why Fitness depot can't. Also, I don't understand why my calls or emails were not answered as there we 3 people at the counter with no customers & the store was empty.

The show floor isn't much to look at but the customer service was top notch even though they were as busy as they could be on Boxing day during restrictions. They had everything we needed during our trip and even saved me from making a couple of silly purchases that I didn't need on this trip. Their house brand Northern Lights is really good and at a reasonable price. Will be shopping here more throughout the year as I set up my home gym.

My experiences with this place have been positive every time, even if items are low or out of stock; better to wait than not get the items at all. Originally suggested to me by a friend, this place has been helpful in providing me the equipment I required. Even with delays, the staff have been accommodating and patient with the large amount of inquiries received. If you're prepared and know what you're looking for, getting what you want will be little to no issues. My only negative is some of the prices have been jacked up since COVID.

Overpriced is all that really needs to be said, with COVID they have deiced to take advantage of the situation and increase their prices. Go elsewhere to find better quality stuff for cheaper.

I've been buying 1000's of $ in equipement at fitness depot all over canada for the past 12 years and also been sending my clients to this location for the past 5 years and today I tried to call for 15 min no answer drove across the city to ask a question get there ask en do you have plates he answer the line up! After 30 min line up arrived to the same man asked him the same question do you have plates he said no. 1h lost really poor service.

Went to Fitness Depot after a bad experience in another store in the area. I hadn't planned coming here but I'm so glad we did!

We were looking for a good treadmill and Katherine answered all of our questions very kindly and without judgement. She had a mask on but I could still tell she was smiling as she spoke.

They had Precor treadmills on the floor that we could test and they also had on stock!

Very easy and smooth buying experience. I don't know yet how the delivery process will be, but I have no doubt it will be as great customer service as we had in the store.

These people have no understanding of customer service nor do they have integrity in their pricing. I used to go to them for most of my equipment and weight purchased but not anymore. They have lost a customer over $30 today.

Since the pandemic we have made several purchases at this store to build our home gym. The staff have been wonderful. They are honest & knowledgeable about their products & equipment and incredibly helpful. I definitely recommend Fitness Depot Calgary.

From calling in to get info on stock & price to going into the store to pick up equipment, the staff was great and service was smooth.

Would not recommend shopping here. We purchased an elliptical in August and one month later were already having problems. Its been 2 weeks and nothing has been done. Still waiting for a person to come look at it so it can be fixed. Super disappointed.

All the people I dealt directly with were excellent but I think the company “philosophy “ leaves a lot to be desired. I purchased a $2000 Echelon bike (full price) and suggested they might throw in a $40 pair of 10 lb dumbbells. I was told their policy is “to offer no discounts”. That would have amounted to a 2% discount. I paid for delivery and setup. During setup, the bike would not connect to my wifi. Without wifi, this bike is as useful as something one tenth the cost. I was told I would receive a call from service to help with the problem. Never happened. But I did finally figure it out on my own. Bottom line: I will not be giving them any more of my money ever.

Great store for a lot of fitness goods, they carry high quality lifting belts for oly which was a great find. Equipment is lacking with barbells as they only carry a limited selection. But still a great selection of equipment and items. Would shop again staff helpful =]

If you're looking for workout gear this is hands down the best place to get it. Best prices and helpful staff.
Due to Corona Virus be prepared to know what you want when you get there. They are discouraging browsing right now.

Responsive and efficient staff following proper covid procedures. Knew what I was looking for going in, and was in and out of the store in under 10 mins.

Like most people, I placed an online order in early April during this pandemic. I received confirmation that I would receive a phone call about my order in 10-14 days. It is now late June and I have heard nothing.
My other complaint is with two staff members: when I called to see if they were open, Katherine answered the phone and she was very short with me. I was polite and expressed my excitement about someone answering the phone because it had been so long. I also expressed excitement about the store being open to the public. There was silence. This person had zero humour, zero politeness, and zero customer service skills. Since the stores are now open, I personally went into the store to pick up some items. My items were in stock and I purchased them after receiving some help from a very nice gentleman named Lowell. I decided to buy something else, so I went right back into the store and picked up the item I needed and went to pay for it. Lowell was busy, so I proceeded to another cash register that was manned by two other staff members. I stood there for about 2 minutes because the female staff member was on the phone with a customer (which is fine) ; however, the male staff member completely ignored me while he read some incredibly interesting paperwork. Employment tip: If you don't like dealing with people, do not apply for a customer service position.

Poor customer service. Price increase during the coronavirus lockdown as well. They don't seem to answer emails about product inquiry.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I came in looking to invest in a squat cage, bench and related options for a garage gym and the sales rep took his time walking me through each available option. Will be shopping here for all gym needs going forward.
