Everything was so flavorful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The puff puff, jollof rice were excellent. I will have to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Had a great family dinner at Flavours and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and the server helped us pick a great assortment of dishes (first time having Nigerian food). The location is great, everyone was friendly and we will definitely be back.

This place was recomended by my daughtet who lives in Calgary. I am dissapointed as I did not receive all the items I paid for and did not get refund, what a shame.

My wife and I wanted to try something different, and she saw them at the women's show, so we decided to give it a try. Food was full of African/ Nigerian flavours and nice and hot (temperature) it was also spicy, but you can request how spicy you wanted it, and we ordered medium. Since it was our first time one the owners suggested a few items we should try, and we did. We started off with a couple of meat pie and the puff puff, the meat pie crust was amazing and the puff put kinda reminder me of an east Indian called Pholourie but a bit sweeter. Then we also ordered Jollof rice and Suya. Loved the Jollof rice, but the Suya was a bit dry for me and wished it was cooked to order as it was most likely made earlier in the day. We also ordered Rice / beans with chicken for takeout so our son can also enjoy it as well. We will definitely come back.

Beef suya appears to be coated with something to increase mass.

Had some time before a soccer game, so I stopped in to try something new.
I told the man I just wanted a snack to get me through til later. He ordered for me a meat pie, puff puff, and fried plantain.
Fantastic! I had never had a meat pie that tasted so, well, meaty. The fried plantain were sweet and soft, with great caramelization on the outside. The puff ouffs were the real treat, though, as the texture and crispy shell took me back to my neighbor's homemade donuts.
A simple snack, but very tasty, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. I'm glad I stopped in.

The food was tasty. Its a family business so they really care for their customers. The chief there is extremely humble and nice.she came and spoke to us multiple times about the food since it was our first time. It was a great experience overall.

Everyone there was extremely friendly and the group of 6 that I went with all felt very welcome! One of the workers came and gave us quick rundown on what is the most desired on the menu and all the items he recommended were great! Overall he provided a very solid customer service.
One of the females (the chef I think) came to greet us during our dinner and the vibes she gave off were amazing! Very bright, energetic, and from that I knew she had a lot of passion in her craft.
I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some new foods to try!

The food coupled with the super friendly service make Flavours an absolute must for anyone who either already loves Nigerian food or if they're keen to try it for the first time (the staff are more than happy to explain the dishes and how to eat them for you if you're unsure where to start). I'd strongly recommend the efo riro, iyan/fufu (pounded yam), egusi, and fried plantain! If you've still got room get some puff puffs for dessert, you won't regret it!

I don't typically take the time to write reviews but I enjoyed my experience eating here very much. I am vegetarian and I called ahead of time to ask if they had vegetarian options for me to eat. The lady who answered was very kind and went out of her way to make sure I was able to eat what I wanted. The food itself was very tasty and portions were generous. The atmosphere was great, all staff were extremely attentive and very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.

We could not eat =everything= on the menu in one sitting, but everything we ate was *AMAZING*

It was my boyfriend and I’s first time coming to this place. We wanted to try out something different from our usual, and so we chose this place. Walking in, the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly, and the host greeted us kindly. He let us sit at a table of our choice, and to my surprise, there was cheerful music playing in the store which definitely eased my nerves of eating at a place so different. The person who took our order noticed that we were unfamiliar with the food and in return, was very helpful and patient towards us choosing our meal. We told them it was our first time trying the food and many of the staffs came out to greet us and familiarize ourselves with the food and how to eat it.
We had the fufu with egusi and vegetable soup, with a side of jollof rice. At first, the meal’s portions seemed very small so I was skeptical that it would be overpriced. However, after eating it, I discovered that it was super filling and was fit to be shared with two people. Also, the rice was flavourful and the perfect amount of spice.
During our meal, a couple came in and started a small conversation with us saying that they appreciate us trying their food. That made me feel touched and added to the experience. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you want good food, great service, and friendly people.:)

Comfortable mom&pop style restaurant. The staff greeted us and seated us quickly upon entering and also said goodbye to us before we left. Our first experience with African cuisine so we weren’t very familiar with the dishes but they kept coming to our table to chat with us, offer recommendations, and even show us the proper technique to eat African food. They were so welcoming, friendly and hospitable. The dishes were hot, fresh, and very flavourful. Thank you!

The food is great - definitely worth checking out if you like Nigerian food. I tried their fried rice which was rather mild on the heat scale. The staff were very friendly. Our friend who is not very familiar with Nigerian food ordered some goat (despite seeing the 'pepper' signs beside the dish name on the menu) and a sweet lady intervened to bring the heat down a bit! The jollof rice was also nice. I definitely ordered a portion of the amazing plantain fries! The only downside to the place was the price and the portions. I felt that the price was on the higher end (I am not sure if there are specific ingredients shipped in directly from Nigeria) and the portion could definitely be bigger to be filling for an adult.

OH MY GOODNESS! My husband and I tried this spot for this first time and we will MOST DEFINITELY be back. We entrusted our server to help us decide what to have as we had never had West African food before. We had Puff Puff, Jollof Rice, plantains and we of course had to try Fufu.

The service is warm and welcoming which adds to the experience. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their absolutely delicious cuisine bursting with FLAVOURS.

I enjoyed the Nkwobi I ordered from Flavours. It was tasty and spicy as desired. The order was made in no time and the man at the counter was very courteous. I'll definitely order again.

I am visiting from Toronto and I don't know if that's how the Nigerian food quality is here in Calgary but I was not impressed. After spending so much money for the food, the portion size did not reflect the amount of money I spent especially the rice and suya. The taste of the jollof rice amongst other things was underwhelming and did not show the true taste of Nigerian jollof. I had high hopes while ordering and my hopes were significantly crushed.

I just wanna give a big shout out to whoever I spoke to on the phone. You did an amazing job walking me through the different types of meat you offer. Trying new food from a different country can be challenging when you don’t know what your eating. Thank you for taking your time to explain everything to me. Also the food here is absolutely amazing. Very authentic and properly made! I recommend this place to everyone and anyone who has a passion for cultured/traditional food!

The daily specials are a must have. I had to go multiple times while i was visiting the city. The asaro, ofada rice and plantain was really good. What i loved most though, was the outstanding service. The owners and the wait staff were thoughtful and listened to my requests.

This restaurant is a great place to go when you wanna eat good food, not just African Delicacy. I always have a very good experience there. The food is very good and tasty and the customer service is a major plus+

Enjoyed a couple of take-out specialty delicacies to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As delicious as we had imagined! Though they were delicacies, I did expect slightly larger portion sizes for the price. Altogether, it was great!

Awesome meals. I just thought I should try out the food here few months ago, and now I'm hook on it. The meals are a little bit pricey, but it's so worth it.

My first time visiting any African restaurant in Canada and I must say I wasn't disappointed by the food and service.
I ordered Amala and Efo-riro with Fish and it was good just that I noticed a lot of bones in the soup. The Suya and meatpie were my favourites.they was so delicious. I didn't enjoy the sausage roll so much, the dough was a lot and sausage was pretty small.
Meals are fairly priced for an African restaurant. Excellent Customer Service! The elderly man who took my order was very friendly and nice. Dining Room was pretty clean too. I will definitely visit again.

In our western culture, we have included many foods from other cultures, including Mexican, European and Asian. But I had yet to try African food. My Mom and I decided to come here after hearing about Flavors on the radio. It was a great experience. Our server was very friendly and even got the owner for us when we were unsure of what to order. Bola gave us some great recommendations. The food was perfect, just spicy enough to be “zingy” but not burning hot. I really enjoyed the pounded yam, soups and chicken. The fried plantains are fabulous! The building is a little run-down, but still clean and maintained. This is a great place when you want to try something different.

Decent restaurant and nice owner, there's varieties of food selection. Good location as well.
