Second time coming where they've only got one staff member. Took forever to get the food. The restaurant was full of people simply waiting.

Seems like they do one thing, and do it well.
Had the chicken sando, medium spicy this time. Medium was a BIG step up from mild, but I still enjoyed it.
The staff were cool too.

I had the medium spicy chicken Sando and it was great! A little mac salad on the side to balance the warmth was delicious! Definitely recommend!

First and last time eating here! We ate 1/4 meal at best and walked out! McDonald’s or Subway would have been a better choice! Coleslaw was in edible due to enormous quantities of black pepper in it! The chicken was over salted and dry. The restaurant smelled of old grease!
We will not go back!

The chicken burger at this restaurant was enjoyable, although it wasn't particularly unique or extraordinary. Having this restaurant in our neighborhood is a pleasant addition, and it's definitely worth giving it a try, especially for those who have a fondness for spicy chicken!

Sauce is full of flavour. Med Flirt has an enjoyable amount of heat without killing your tastebuds.

The person making the sandwiches was not washing their hands enough: they touched money from customers and didn't wash, and then also touched the iPad for payments,
(that customers also touch) and proceeded to keep making food - all with his hands.

It’s spicy. I typically eat spicy, would not eat more than the medium here. But amazing proportions, one of the best chicken sandwiches around

The best fried chicken we have ever tasted in our entire lives. The service was also fantastic. We have not found anything this tasty anywhere else!

Pretty good! Not the most amazing sandwich I've ever had but Flirty Bird still beats out most places. Service was friendly and accommodating, especially since there was only one guy working the counter. He did a great job!

I love this place for a snack. I swung by on a Thursday afternoon and was told they were out of chicken. I still got a my usual coleslaw side but what kinda of chicken place runs out of chicken.

The nastiest place I've ever eaten hot food they have no idea how to make hot sauce. I know cayenne and vinegar and tons of salt it's so salty you can eat the stupid little bite size chickenthis place is gross

Extra Hot sandwich review. 1/3 hot and flavourful, 1/2 it burns and not much I can taste, after a side of coleslaw, I finished it. My favourite sandwich is Nashville Hot Chicken. This was definitely hot, though I would consider myself a hot sauce lover, I would only get scorching for the novelty and not to enjoy.

Restaurant style was unique. Kind of a dirty warehouse look. Alright, but doesn’t exude cleanliness, which is what I prefer from a place that makes my food

Great, juicy chicken sandwiches and very friendly staff. They even went out of their way to go out and get some extra hot sauce for us. Very happy with my experience today!

Honestly, did not live up to the hype. The “hot flirt” is the 3rd hottest option. Now, I love me some spicy food, but MOTHER this chicken is just HOT. Not a ton of flavour, and the fries are just McCain superfries. For $15, I was expecting more. Venue’s simple, but not great. I won’t say don’t try it, just know what you’re getting into. This isn’t Frank’s Red Hot, it’s melt your face

I can't say enough great things about this place. Staff are always super friendly. Food is tasty and satisfying. Service is fast and accurate and the restaurant is always clean. I have been here many time and plan on going many many more.

Nice gentlemen in there! If dining in, acoustics are crazy, gets loud in there.
Yummy fried chicken tenders, fries and sides. Medium flirt was a bit too spicy for me, and I like spice. Preferred the mild. I would visit again!

Chicken tenders were ok. Nothing special. Could have been crispier. The only thing that was good was the spice. It was busy, we waited over 30 minutes for the food.

Love the crunchy flirty chicken sandwich. Our early dinner is delicious. The staff are so friendly and great service. Good ambiance.

I'm usually unimpressed by spice but the 2nd hottest is on the verge of unenjoyable hot. I can't imagine getting the hottest.

Really yummy sandwich, though it doesn’t stay together very well. However it’s well worth it. I like spicy and hot food, and got my sandwich “hot”. It was hot without being overpowering, so I’d go with that if you enjoy hot food. I may go down one level next time however and see how I like that. The coleslaw was also very good, and you get a good portion of it. The fries were good, but nothing to really write home about. Will definitely be back!

Finally, I made it here today! It's been on my radar for a while now, and it was worth the drive. I had the Sando with the extra hot flirt. Despite being warned it's too hot for consumption Hahaha and my spouse had the chicken tenders in mild and we shared crinkle cut fries which are my favourite. It was indeed extra hot which made me happy because it usually is never extra hot, and still quite tasty as well. Well. The chicken breast was so Juicy it was unbelievable and the tenders were probably the best we've had in the city. The fries hot, crisp and delicious maybe a tad to salty.

The person who took our order and delivered our food had a huge smile and was very efficient. I can't wait to come back again.

Solid food. The hot is actually hot and not pretending but has great flavor too (not just a burn because it can).
Chicken was juicy and the coating nice and crispy.
The fries were good and I want to try the fries with chicken and toppings on them eventually.
The food was enough to get someone to come here but the service literally could not have been better. They made genuine conversation and it was really nice.

Very tasty and good texture to the sammy. Prepare to get messy! Friendly and conversational staff. Would revisit!

Hubby and I came here for dinner. It's a small menu - 3 main dishes and maybe 6 sides - but well done. I ordered the chicken tenders at a medium spice level. I enjoy heat and I found this level perfect. Spicy enough to make my mouth tingle but not so hot that I couldn't taste anything else. Hubby ordered a sandwich at the same spice level, and it was interesting that it didn't taste as spicy. The other ingredients must tame the heat level; still it was enjoyable. The crinkle fries are nicely seasoned with a side blend and crispy.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. The store was busy with takeout, not many people dined in, yet it was a comfortable atmosphere.

Best customer service hands down with food to match that service equally. Delicious and simple is there style and they deliver everytime. 11am-7pm everyday but Sunday, would definitely go here.

This is the first time I tried a legit nashville fried chicken in Calgary. Many establishments says nashville but did not come through the hotness. This one is legit. I tried the Hot Flirt because I read in the comments that go one level down which I recommend you do so you won’t cry and ask your mom some milk. Someday though, I will try the hotter flavours that’s for sure. Overall, staff were nice and welcoming and the food is delicious made to order and the hotness is greaaaaatttt! Come check this place out!

Oh my will return and highly recommend! These burgers were delish! So fresh and was just perfect. Their burger sauce was amazing and that burger bun! Think the bun is from Glamorgan Bakery Also, how about those crinkle cut fries they were just fantastic, the fry seasoning was also amazing - I’ll go back just for those very well priced and good serving size!

First negative review I've ever posted but this one seems warranted. We ordered a Chicken finger combo from the Marda Loop location. Seemed fairly "doughy" so we cut open chicken finger and realized that the sold us a large piece of fried dough and there was not even a sliver of actual chicken in the dried dough ball. The other chicken fingers contained chicken but only 30-50% of the mass was meat

Enjoyable lunch at the Marda Loop location today. Went for the medium heat and it was a good start and will go up a notch next time. As others have stated, the only downfall is the bun. With the sauce and I guess the slaw topping it leaves the bun unable to 'hold it together' so hopefully there is another option in the future to make it an even better experience. Maybe a non bun option? Anyway, will be back for some more heat in the future.

Just ate at Marda Loop location. SUCH tasty heat for the Medium Flirt. Best Nashville Hot Chicken I've had in Calgary. Can't wait to go back.

This place is fantastic. I stopped by earlier this week for lunch and I had to bring my family back this weekend to experience these sandwiches! I've had both the mild and medium heat Nashville hot chicken sandwiches. The medium heat is actually decently warm, it's just right. The sides are good too. This is a spot that I'll be returning to soon

Best chicken Sammy in town! It's tender juicy and the bun melts in your mouth.and the last two hots on their scale is hot. DO NOT underestimate.it's nothing like anywhere else in Calgary.

I stumbled across the marda loop location today. Staff was very friendly and the sandwich was the best chicken sandwich I've had. Very crispy and the hot was very hot. I was warned! Lots of different heat levels for every palate though. Next time medium it is! I definitely recommend trying.

This was not terrible but it could be soo much better. Unfortunately I think when I went (2: 45), I got an old pre-made chicken breast that was sitting out for a while. That, or it was overcooked. I like crispy but this was just.hard. I had the "Hot" and I would say it's less spicy than Alumni's "full spice" nashville chicken on 17th ave to compare. Speaking Of Alumni, their sandwich is far superior nashville chicken in every category, spice, flavour, size of chicken breast, perfectly cooked, bun, etc.

The bun was soggy/dripping with sauce by the end, I agree the bun needs to be more substantial, or use less sauce.

Also.the fries are $4 for what appears to be Mccains frozen fries with run of the mill seasoning salt. Did I eat them? Yes. Did they remind me of fries I'd get at the local hockey rink? Yes. I would suggest revamping the fries and use a different house seasoning. Half of the fries were small stub fries, and kinda overcooked. Have you had the fries at Alumni?

Overall, I'm going to try this again because hot chicken is literally my fav food, and they said their spice levels all use different blends so I'm gonna try the extra Hot next time and if my next sandwich is better I'll adjust the review.

Woah. Honestly the best Chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! This place does one thing and does it well. Very good.

Was really looking forward to trying this place, the hype seemed real and the reviews were promising. Unfortunately for me, it did not deliver in the ways I was hoping. I found the bun to be the most depressing part of the sandwich, for a sandwich as wet and messy as this, the white bun they chose did not stand up well, it was all but disintegrated half way through eating the sandwich. The "Hot Flirt" was hot enough, but I felt like the heat came from the sauce, not the chicken itself which is unlike traditional Nashville hot chicken. Coleslaw and pickeles were present, but not very exciting.

If I had to compare it to the hot chicken at Alumni Sandwiches, (The GOAT) it really doesn't stack up. I would put this in the same category as some of the better fast food places. A decent sandwich for $12, but definitely not the best in the city.

Ordered 4 sandwiches, 1 mild, 2 hot and 1 extra hot. Fantastic juicy chicken at 12 bucks perfect. The flavour was awesome and the heat levels were perfect nice to have a moist piece of chicken. My only suggestion would be a little less dressing.on the coleslaw so the bun does not get soggy. 100% will be back only.place il go for hot chicken

A legitimate fried chicken sandwich with varying spice levels, soooo good. Super filling and a not super pricy. Great service, heed their warnings if you order a spicy one. Watch out for the scorching flirt, it's not for greenhorns.

Turns out the hot is actually hot. Tasted good when my mouth was just pain. Will have to go back for a medium hot next time. But I will go back.

Only thought is the bun could be a bit more sturdy.

The best Nashville hot chicken sando in Calgary, period! We tried their extra hot and scorchin' hot, and trust me - they mean it when they say they're the hottest in town! Not for the faint of heart! Although they have milder versions too, so you should stick to your comfort zone. But boy are those sandos delicious! The slaw is damn good, the buns are nice and the pickles bring just the right amount of tanginess and complete the flavour! I never thought chicken sandos would be this good, seriously! All my chicken sandwich cravings satisfied!

One of the best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches in AB. The chicken was perfect and the spice was on point. The service here is excellent as well. Will definitely come back

This place is really good. I got the mild flirty bird and it was delicious, hot and juicy, a little salty but not bad. The fries were hot and crispy. The staff is super friendly and made great recommendations. Will definitely go again.

Best chicken sandwich in town! I tried the mild flirt and it was spicy enough for me, but try the scorchin flirt if you dare. Sara, Thomas, and Jeff were all great and welcoming!

Yum Chicken, mildly flirty & coleslaw with pickle, however needs a more substantial bun. The bun was so soggy it was inedible. Maybe a Kaiser would work.

I thought the food was spot on. The chicken sandwich is big and the breading was light. Flavour was there and the fries were crispy.

This is the real deal Nashville hot chicken place in Calgary! I was looking for a quality lunch so I headed down to bridgeland and started wandering. If you haven’t been down here for lunch do yourself a favour and get going. Bridgeland is perfect for any taste and there are lots of COVID friendly patios. I went with an open mind and found myself standing between four different options and couldn’t decide, then suddenly the name, Flirty Bird, caught my eye and I saw that it was Nashville hot chicken. My mind said “uhhh yup” and I headed in. I was greeted by a smiling face and could see right into the kitchen where the cooks were hard at work. Everything was clean, orderly, and well organized. The menu was super simple, they had Nashville hot chicken in varying heat levels and some great sides! I ordered the second most spicy sandwich and creamy coleslaw. The food came out fast and hot! The spice level was no joke on my sandwich but was perfectly eased by the creamy coleslaw. The batter was super crispy and the chicken was super juicy. Also it was a great size.
So the food was great the service was great but where this joint really shines was in how they handled themselves. There was a small issue with my order and I brought it to their attention. The staff kicked into high gear and did all the right things to rectify the issue. I was offered a genuine apology for the error from every staff member who helped me, the order was corrected, and I was offered an additional side on the house. After the order was corrected and I was eating, one of the chefs came and checked on me. It was busy in the kitchen and it went a long way for him to come check on my satisfaction.
I was truly impressed with how the staff at flirty bird stepped up and took the time to rectify a small problem. I will for sure be back to enjoy one of these amazing sandwiches again.

Hands down the best Nashville Hot Chicken I have ever tried. They now offer takeout, so the negative reviews are outdated. Would recommend to anyone any day of the week, the staff is friendly, helpful and knows exactly how spicy their birds are! Can't wait for my next trip there!

Went opening day and got a medium spicy sandwich and macaroni salad. Contrary to the other poster they were clear with me when I ordered that they did not intend to do take out but that they would make it work. They actually did a great job wrapping my sando and giving me a bag. I was surprised that it was that well done despite them not planning take out. I think it was obvious that they weren't going to offer take out as they postponed opening until in person dining was lifted. I would have ate there if they told me no take out. So I was actually pleasantly surprised, the staff was really nice too.

Now on to the sandwich. The taste was great, but about the breading. Nashville hot chicken usually gets its spicy from a bit of hot sauce and a ton of cayenne, so it stays extremely crispy. THis was very saucy and made the breading not very crispy at all and in some parts soggy enough to bind with the bun. Was disappointed about this, as its their only menu item, it needs to improve. But its their first day open and im sure there will be some initial learnings!

Take out may have contributed so I will edit this review next week after dining in. But I ate within 5 mins of leaving the place

Mac salad was mac salad. Great as all mac salad is, but nothing special.

I was so excited to have a new fun place to try in the neighborhood and I'm a huge fan of Nashville hot chicken! But let me tell how underprepared they were for opening, oh boy. Incase you're wondering, take out is not an option here and for a spot that only has 25 seats and still needs to abide by capacity restrictions, it is mind boggling that it isn't an option. We were stopping to pick up lunch on our way to work, and were left to figure out a way to transport three sandwiches and fries without take out containers. What a mess! No assistance from the staff and no forewarning that this restaurant didn't do takeout. It's not advertised anywhere, and I thought it safe to assume that like most places.they do takeout. I watched multiple people try to order takeout only to be told they don't do it. If they are going to last in the neighborhood, takeout will be needed. Until then, there's no Flirty Bird visits in my future.
