We had a terrible experience with this company in 2021.
The sales person came to our home at least twice to take measurements and look at the floor to make sure the material we chose was the right choice.
He didn’t once say anything about levelling the floor. Because we are paying a professional company to advise us, we would have hoped they would let us know what needed to be done to get a good installation.
When the installer showed up, he started installing the floor and said nothing about needing to level the floor.
When he got to the transition between the living room and kitchen space, he told us the floor was uneven. (Which is odd because after he finished the whole job, there were uneven parts even before he would have reached this transition.)
The installer offered to level the floor only in that transition area and said that would be good enough. The patching looked sloppy and we were confused as to how this would be ‘level. ’
He returned on the next visit to finish the floor.
When he was done the job, there was a large bulge in the transition he ‘levelled. ’
There were also very obvious dips and bumps in other parts of the floor.
Some of the seams weren’t connected properly in other areas.
And, against one of the steps, the edging piece wasn’t even attached. It was just placed there loose and easily movable.
The sales person came back to look at the work. We showed him all of the issues, then he told us that this installer was his ‘best guy’ and defended his work.
The sales person was unpleasant to deal with when we told him about the poor installation. First we couldn’t get him on the phone, then when we did, he kept trying to make us feel guilty because he was ‘going through a rough time’ personally.
Well, considering I had previously told him we just buried my uncle because he died from COVID, he seemed to think his ‘rough time’ was more important than what my family was experiencing, on top of the stress of dealing with the poor work we paid this flooring company to do.
We got a small discount in the end and just got as far away from this company as fast as we could.
But still, that discount cannot make up for the poor work that was done, the distress it has caused us and the fact that we have to get the floor reinstalled again, this time by a more competent company.

Floor Centre installed carpet and luxury vinyl plank in my basement. They did a fantastic job at a good price. I recommend dealing with Rob who was very informative and friendly. Highly recommend. See photos!

Good work by Todd in securing a great Surewood product and excellent work by installers G and Denis. Would recommend this Company to anyone wishing to change their flooring.the Robertson`s

Had the Floor Centre replace hallway and living room carpet. The installer explained what he was doing, respected my home, cleaned up after. Awesome job. I now have a new look that I can be proud of. Thanks guys

A company that really listens to you and help you meet your needs. A pleasant experience all around with all staff I interacted with. I highly recommend Floor Centre!

Floor Centre has the best prices in town. Great customer experience and Marcel has been exceptional in providng new flooring and enhancing our properties look and product.
