It was my MIL’s birthday this week and we knew we wanted to get her something special. Because we live so far away it’s difficult sending flowers as you never know what to expect. In the past we have used a major online floral company with less than ideal results.

But this time we knew we wanted to stay local to her. Finding the right florist was quite the task as there are dozens, if not hundreds in the greater Calgary area. After searching online for days we knew we wanted to go with Flower Chix. Something about them just seemed different. Their website is so welcoming, and the arrangements were something special.

There were so many to choose from, we had the hardest time deciding which arrangement to get. But after speaking with them on the phone we decided that we would leave everything in their hands and let them work their magic. I gave them a brief description of what we wanted; her favorite flowers, the arrangements we liked best, etc.

When the day finally came for the flowers to be delivered we heard from my MIL almost immediately. “Stunning” is the word she used the most. And she hasn’t stopped saying it since! They did everything we wanted them to, AND MORE! They carefully sculpted the most beautiful bouquet I had ever seen. Her favorite flowers, elements that we liked from other arrangements. And they topped it off with the the show stopping Anthurium. It was so unexpected, and fantastic that it took our breath away.

We asked for a show stopping piece and oh my they sure delivered. They went above and beyond! Their customer service, their user friendly website, their attention to detail, and mostly the way they made my mother in law smile?

It’s safe to say that going forward they will be the only florists we’ll be using.

Placed an order for a large very expensive bouquet weeks ago, this was to be a surprise for valentines as I’m out of town for work. Not only did the flowers not arrive today, but they called and said they won’t make it but she can come and pick them up herself.great surprise! I could not get anyone on the phone all day, either busy or to voicemail.
They gave my girlfriend and excuse about the delivery being late this morning, but it sounds more like lack of preparation on their parts. Absolutely ruined what was supposed to be a special day so thanks for that! Will be cancelling and getting a refund instead…

This is what a $157.75 bouquet looks like after 4 days. I requested Saturday delivery and it arrived at noon on Sunday. I requested big bright blooms for my visually impaired mum and received muted roses. I said no roses but got them anyway. I requested a small lovely bouquet that would fit on a small night stand and received a bouquet that exceeded 2.4 feet (with no where to place it in the care centre room). I might have let this go without a review except the owner was curt and hung up on me. She did eventually refund 57.75 but was so full of excuses I felt like I was being punished for ordering from her company. I will give the shop at least one star. That is for the staff member who kindly took my order with all kinds of great suggestions. And for Jaunita the clerk who tried to kindly broker a response from the owner. My 91 year old mother would be appalled if she knew of the owners behaviour. She said to me "don't worry, it's the thought that counts". Happy Mothers Day mum.

I called instead of using their online portal and received prompt, helpful, and courteous service. Definitely had beautiful flower choices and also made sure to let us know when the delivery was complete. I always like to use local flower shops and this one is well worth it in Calgary.

I bought my wife a bouquet of Rose's with some accents for valentine's day. A day later they were dying. By 2 days later they where dead. I got charged for the wrong ones. And when I called the owner she refused to do anything about it. Then after the wife argued with her all she was willing to do is an in store credit. The wonderful girl who helped me put bouquet together was amazing though

I had a great experience ordering an arrangement from Flower Chix. Their web site was very easy to navigate and displayed so many great options. Ordering was simple and straightforward. I had to request a one day delay in delivery after placing the order and the folks in the shop responded immediately and were incredibly responsive and helpful. Best of all the, the folks receiving the flowers were delighted with the quality and presentation. We'll absolutely be using Flower Chix again the in future.

I wanted tulips in my bouquet but because tulips are out of season in July, Monique recommended using artificial tulips. I'm glad I did! You couldn't even tell they were fake! Loved my flowers for my elopement. Live in Texas married in Banff. Flower chix was so easy to work with and my flowers were beautiful, exactly like I wanted.

Extremely unprofessional service, and very mediocre flowers. Ordered online, and in response to a glitch on their end, was asked to send my credit card details over email (extremely unsafe). Then, when there was trouble with the actual delivery, which was my fault, did not attempt to contact me and took two days to reply to my concerns about whether the flowers had been delivered. Had to actually ask the intended recipient if they had received them, which totally ruined the surprise. The arrangement itself was also extremely underwhelming. The unprofessionalism extended past the eventual delivery, when I tried to apologize, and received one email saying it wasn’t an issue, followed by another email an hour later from someone else at the company that was extremely rude. Very immature, and would encourage any reader to take their business elsewhere.

This was my first time using their service. I found them online and not seeing their flower shop in person, I took a leap of faith. I ordered a flower basket online for a friend in Calgary. I was really pleased that they created the basket and delivered it to the recipient in less than 24 hours. They created a gorgeous basket with lots of colorful and diverse flowers which left the recipient very happy! I recommend them!
