FOOD WORLD Halal meat and grocery

Store closes at 7pm. If you come at 6: 17 you will be turn away saying its close or no meat but you guys close 7pm. I observed many times and no change. I would never visit this store again.

Worst customer service ever. I can not believe his attitude was like if he was selling it for free. Really disappointed.

They have a wide variety of groceries and fresh halal meat the best quality in Calgary at affordable prices

Great prices, amazing service and a wide collection of Indian, Pakistani, Middle-eastern and African foods and meats. Shakeel and Syed are just great and helpful

I happen to visit them a couple pf times since its near my house
But i am really disappointed by their non professional behaviour

1. I asked for 2 extra small plastic bags for meat and they refused telling me that i will have to purchase

2. One of their wheat floor bag was a little bit ripped and we asked them to replace it and they said that its our mistake that we torn it apart

Northeast meat shops are way better than them and they are relatively cheap with fresh meat and are not extremely welcoming people.

I am very genomes with giving good comments but unfortunately i just can’t give them more than 1 star!

Disappointed they gave me bad meat and at returned debated not bad (had a strong rotten smell). I pointed out few expired items on shelves the owner reply its just 4 days since it expired and no worries to fix the issues, his well wisher replied Walmart sells expired items as well.

Went for the first time after seeing on Facebook. Stood infront of the shop for 15 minutes. It didn't open on the said timings. That's their first impression

Bought groceries from Food World a couple of times. Both the owners are very helpful and provide great service!

It was a nice sunny day when I decided to bike to Food World to buy some Mangos. Looked at them, requested “juicy mangos”, and was handed mangos that seemed to look fine. Took 2 boxes for $60 on a bike. Came back home, tried them out: they were disgusting. Did I just waste $60?

I went to return one of the boxes, untouched. Walked in, tried to be nice and ask how the days been. Once we got to the issue, he became really rude and couldn’t even switch the mangos out for a new pack. Worst customer service. Way better to drive up North East to grab your stuff. We had previously bought meat as well that was rotten, but decided to give them another chance. Was shouted to “get out”. I left and I will never return. There are many better options, believe me: this is the worst of the worst.

DO NOT GO THERE I REPEAT DO NOT. Bought 50$ worth of chicken and it was rotten. I called if he can return or exchange, got nothing and had to through the chicken in dumpster. Same complaint from a friend he brought lamb and it was rotten too.

Best place to get Indian groceries in this part of the city. Reasonably priced, friendly staff & almost everything is available.
