I have been a patient at Forest Heights Dental for about 4 years now. My new dentist Dr. Shah has been awesome! He pays attention to detail and is very knowledgeable at his practice. I have had numerous complex procedures done by him without any issues. He is always very informative about what he does for you, I trust his ability to do what is best for me.

My dental hygienist Violeta Campbell is very good. She is very patient and carrying. I feel very relaxed all the time I spend there. She does a very good job, I would recommend her to anyone.

0 stars, the reviews are fake on here. There is only 1 review for most accounts and they ALL have the same wording. I went here a few months ago (about 6 months now) Dr. Molania butchered my teeth and sat me down for 7 fillings in one appointment. No human can withstand that kind of pain and you allowed it to happen. I don't even know if any of those fillings were necessary. They were extremely vague when explaining the procedures. They just billed it to the government because I had assistance at the time. So, why would they care about the patient's pain tolerance or dental history or their budget for future treatment if they are getting a ton of money short term? The root canal was NOT covered by the government, and, instead of asking me if I wanted to continue with a large filling (that might possibly turn into a root canal), they went ahead anyway! Then they asked me for $8000! Horrible dental clinic, money grab. They caused me SO much pain, and now I can't even floss without feeling soreness in my teeth. Also, the so-called fillings cracked within a few months, and there was a ton of overhang and roughness that was not dealt with properly. I will now have to spend money I don't have, to fix YOUR mistakes.

CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE PATIENTS BEWARE.

I want to preface this review and say I have been going to Mo’s dental, (the former practice) and now under new owner's Forest Heights along with my family, and friends for 15+ years with no issues. In general, I’d like to think I am fairly understanding, and have never felt the need to leave a negative review; until now.

I understand that mistakes are made, and I have raised my concerns several times to hopefully find a resolution. Unfortunately, I have been met with consistent awful customer service, vague answers, and currently am not even having my calls returned by Sree and Jennifer the office managers. The short of it, is from Oct 18,2022 to November 23,2022 I have made 6 visits to Forest Heights, for the same tooth and have incurred over $2500 in charges (out of pocket and insurance). These visits included:
Visit 1: Tooth was bothering me – dentist isn’t concerned, small crack that can be filled next visit– suggested if I have coverage I should get a mouth guard because I likely grind and that could be the cause of pain.
Visit 2: Tooth still bothering me, so I booked to get crack filled. Dentist is about to start work on the wrong tooth. When I mentioned that wasn’t the tooth I was concerned with, he reassessed and said I could need a root canal. This was very unexpected as I had come in to the appointment thinking I needed a filling. ** At this point I was very wary of this doctor, but figured mistakes happen, maybe I was unclear on my first visit… Either way I believe he didn’t do his due diligence and wanted to try a different dentist at Forest heights. Looking back, this on it’s own is a red flag, and I wish I would have went to a different place all together.
Visit 3 and 4: Second opinion appointments. During these visits I was seen by Dr. Duran, Dr. Molania and Dr. Rahimi. They suggested a filling could help the problem, or I could need the root canal after all. However if a root canal was needed, it was straight forward and could be completed at Forest Heights; no specialist required. I will add all three doctors were extremely informative, kind and professional. It was decided I needed a root canal, and predetermination for root canal/filling sent to insurance for $1377.86
Visit 5: Root canal appointment 1 - Initially was told it would be completed in one visit (I’d eventually need to get a crown at a later date) So I was upset I’d have to make yet another trip in, again I understand things change, so I was fine to come back to finish the procedure. Nothing was mentioned to me after the first appointment but they had asked me to pay, so I figured it was an amount not covered by insurance.
Visit 6: Root Canal/filling is completed, and once I am out of the chair, they tell me the amount is actually $2102.72. Not remembering how much the initial quote was, I just signed and paid again. They assured me that they could refund money to me once everything was settled with insurance if I overpaid.
I know predeterminations can change, but with a $700 jump in price I would like an explanation. I can appreciate complications arise, or billing mistakes happen but I was not made aware at the first root canal appointment. Why was this increase only mentioned after the procedure was completed? If I was aware of this I could have booked with a specialist to avoid the multiple trips and headaches or possibly looked to another practice for lower price.
I have called consistently since the end of November 2022 to have some answers. So far I was informed there was some sort of billing mistake, and I will receive a refund and a call from a manager once it’s sorted. It is Dec 21,2022 and I have still not received a refund, or a phone call from a manager.
If you do go to Forest Heights, PLEASE review everything you have been charged for. If you can, avoid them altogether to avoid their shady, unprofessional and questionably fraudulent business practices.

After trying 2 other dental clinics in the city I have found that forest heights family dental has the best service. I have had work done by 4 dentists at the clinic and they all performed quite well.

Very professional organization from Office Staff to Hygienists, Dental Assistants and Doctors. Excellent system in place for appointment reminders.

The staff was so friendly, helpful & accommodating! They were able to get me in fast & were great at putting all my stress & anxiety at ease.

This was definitely the best dentist experience I've had in long time. I've been putting off seeing the dentist because of some bad experiences when I was a kid and because of how costly I know the dentist can be. But the service and transparency from this dental clinic was amazing! My sister recommended it to me and I will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone in the future. The dental hygienist was extremely friendly and kind and the dentist was extremely good at what she does. I had to get a tooth extracted and it was painless and went by smoothly. They were also helpful with aftercare instructions and always made sure I was comfortable during the entire experience. I was also able to book my walk in appt as a new patient for the same day which was very convenient!

Staff is very friendly, put off dental care for far too long due to anxiety. The doctor and staff were accommodating to my fears. Procedure went smoothly. Thank you

Not impressed at all today. I booked an appointment with a dentist for my teeth to be pulled, got some other dentist pulling out my teeth. Was not even called to tell me of the changes in dentist. Should of just left. Told the dentist the gauze didn't feel aligned on one side he said it didn't matter. Hmmm really appreciate going home with 2 packs of gauze, I will re-wash them if needed. Will not be returning. Drove from the northside to the southside for this b.s FML

I’ve been going here for some time, The Staff are courteous and make me feel comfortable. The Dentist today was running behind and they gave me a 40 dollar gift certificate, that was awesome, I also like the work they do very precise and Quick, overall a pleasant experience for a Dentist Appointment, I will definitely recommend Forest Heights Family Dental!

Absolutely love this dental office. The staff goes above and beyond to make your visit as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Cassandra as hygienist, she is the bomb!

Brought my family of 7, Karen was very helpful getting all set up. The hygienist did a great job and the dentist was very thourogh. Great place, friendly staff. Recommended if you are in the Edmonton area.

I love this dentist! They’re so welcoming and the environment is so calming. Everything was explained to me in detail and it eased the worry I had. I have a deep fear of the dentist but they made sure I was okay and safe! This is the best dental place I’ve been too!

I’m a fairly new patient. I ended up needing cleaning, fillings and wisdom teeth removal which was all done in a span of about 1.5 months. All of the staff are so nice and informative, from the time you call in to the time you leave your appointment! I was terrified of getting my wisdom teeth removed but honestly I’m not quite sure why because the whole process was so much easier/comfortable than I was expecting! Minimal pain and recovery was a breeze! I cannot recommend forest heights dental enough! They are amazing!

About to go in, been avoiding the trip for years, so far they are super friendly and welcoming. I'm nervous so I hope we are golden. Update. I got the filling n clean ing all at the same time so amazing I'm happy as pie. 2nd update. I've been super nervous most of the times I go in medicated and they have been so good I've cut out the meds and go in without them now. Thank you team you guys are so nice and non judgemental. Fabulous dentist and staff at this clinic. I broke a tooth just before a trip in the wilderness and I needed some quick emergency service. They squeezed me in and fixed my tooth and calmed my nerves. I felt the whole clinic was top notch pros who were very competent and made me feel at ease. Highly recommend.

Haven"t been to dentists since before covid, so I was worried about this appointment. Two hours for a cleaning and a large filling, and I actually dozed off in the chair WHILE I was getting the filling! 'Nuff said!

I have had a very professional and comfortable experience here with Dr. Molania. The staff behaves nicely. Definitely will recommend it to my friends.

Dr. Campbell's work is meticulous. He takes the time to make sure everything is done properly and that you are totally satisfied.

My male hygienist was so careful, slow, calm and explained each procedure. He was a genuinely great kind and caring educator and conversationalist which helps me a lot not to focus on all the crazy noises at the dentist

My wife researched a lot of Dentists in our area and found Forest Heights to be the best one to try. From the first call to ask about services to the actual service I was very relieved to feel safe and taken care of. They presented me with 2 options for my chipped tooth and after talking with them about each option I chose one and they got me in as soon as they could. It was a great experience as far as dentists go.lol! I highly recommend Forest heights Dental. My wife is amazed how happy I am with them and she is looking to book services as well. Thanks! I'm really glad I found Forest Heights when I moved to Ednonton, I've been treated so well since day 1 and I've gotten fillings, cleanings, and a wisdom tooth extraction so far. All amazing experiences (save for the obvious discomfort of getting a tooth pulled lol) with their awesome hygienists, Dentists, and the front desk staff:) Highly recommend this place, especially if you are low income, they understand and do their best to keep costs as low as possible for you.

I have to say that I was very anxious about having my teeth cleaned (hate it) and Alborz, the hygienist was so awesome! He took the time to make sure I was okay and comfortable. Also the wonderful conversation during the cleaning made the time go by.

The staff are passionate with their job, you can feel their wholeheartedly service to their clients, special mention to Ms. Violeta, she is one of the best hygienists I ever had and Dr. Maryam provides the best advice and instructions regarding oral health and she is so calm and friendly.

Doctor Amal was amazing today! He was so kind and gentle with my daughter. Giving her words of inspiration and telling her how proud he was of her during the procedure.
I went there previously for myself and had an amazing experience as well. We will always be going back to Forest Heights.

I have been coming to Forest Heights Family Dental to see my hygienist for some time now, and I can not recommend her enough! Violeta is kind and gentle while cleaning and is great if you are an anxious patient. She takes the time to explain what she is doing and always makes my appointment a positive experience. The front staff are always great to deal with as well.

The best dental clinic in alberta dr. Dany anthony is very kind and soft spoken.you wont feel scared going to the the dentist and the staff is very caring.

The best place ever. So friendly, incredibly helpful, they really care about your dental health. Don't try to sell you on things you really don't need, take extra time to help you know exactly what's going on. Helped my fiance and I make sure we use our benefit package the best way we can. They even have a cute note for the two of us on our file haha. Last but not least, pricing is really great, you aren't paying for someone's Lamborghini.

This is a really great place to go if you have anxiety about the dentist. I let them know I hadn't visited the dentist for 10 years and was very nervous, and both my hygenist and the dentist were super gentle, explained everything that was happening really well, and made sure I was okay throughout. By the end, I was actually feeling calmer and more confident about the next steps in my dental care. I'm not even that nevous about going back to get my cavities filled next month. I seriously can not recommend them enough.

Super sweet staff, very cordial, highly communicative. I prefer to the extra mile to come here even with a different clinic closer to me. Made sure I knew what was going on while getting my fillings and ensured the process was handled safely and comfortably.

I have been coming to this clinic for a while now. My family and I have had the privilege of seeing Dr. Zangi, Dr. Daran, and Dr. Mollania. These Dentists are equally amazing. We have been treated with such kindness and respect. The dentistry is the best we have experienced.

Our Hygienist is always thorough, compassionate, and very gentle. The Receptionist's go above and beyond with any questions we have had. They have always greeted us warmly. And the Dental Assistants excel at keeping us comfortable!

I would definitely recommended this clinic. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind.

I had my cleaning done by Rinsy. She was very thorough and made feel comfortable throughout the whole process. She is also very knowledgeable about her profession and was able to communicate how to maintain my teeth until my next appointment and what I need to improve on. Rinsy was also the reason I came to realize that I needed a mouth guard while sleeping and now my headaches are gone.

I also had some cavities done by Dr. Antony, he was great as well. He is a very kind and warm person. I was feeling very anxious before the appointment because of a past experiences in a different clinic but he made me feel better.

I went here based on the amazing reviews I think this dental office makes them up as the dental hygienist appointment I had is the worst I’ve ever had in this city. Kinda seemed like she got her degree from a garage she rushed didn’t floss my teeth or provide me with any fluoride even though my insurance covered it. Like take some pride in your job lady. Even the front people say they know nothing about what goes on back there well maybe you should as I would want to respect the places I work at and have them provide actual quality. That’s not what you’ll get at this place. Please go elsewhere

I have been going here for a few years now. I have seen many of the Dentists and they have all been great. The Dental Hygienist is also a wonderful lady. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for good quality Dental Care.

I was completely satisfied. The hygienist was among the best I have ever experienced, and that experience is 50 years in the making.

I went to Forest Heights Family Dental for a cleaning recently. Karen at the front desk was able to book me in for the next day! She was very helpful in explaining costs and coverage to me concisely and had a very pleasant demeanor on the phone and then again in person when I came in for my appt. The waiting room was clean and they had chairs marked for social distancing so there wasn't any awkwardness between me and the other patients waiting. I noticed Karen sanitizing the pens after every use which was comforting. The hygienist who worked on me was Violeta. She's a real pro! Before she started her work, she listened very patiently to all my concerns and complications due to my past extensive dental work. I came to this clinic because I was hesitant about scaling and they offer the special Cavitron Ultrasonic Scaler tool which makes scaling so much more pleasant. After she was done with that she did the old fashioned manual scaling which I was scared of. I did not feel pain once. Her control with the tool was incredible, it's almost as if the tip of the tool was a second set of eyes she used to navigate the pockets and crevices of my teeth. She was also very entertaining and I surprisingly learned a lot about dentistry I did not know before. Last but not least, my teeth looked AMAZING. I did not expect my teeth to look this white after the cleaning. My family members noticed and commented how great they looked immediately. 5 out of 5 stars.

I have dentist fear, since being an adult and having to find my own dentists, I've lucked out, finding the yellers and ones that I don't think actually like their job, so I hadn't been to a dentist in about 12 years.

My husband went to get some work done and suggested that I try. They were lovely!

Dentist simply and kindly informed me that coming back at any point was better than never returning and the hygienist was very pleasant. She gave me some hints and tips of things I could be doing but was never demeaning about it or my lack of trips to the dentist in the past.

I think I found my mouths new home and will definitely become a dental regular

Awesome job, awesome filling experience. Dr. Fatemeh Zangi is amazing. She is very professional, kind and patient. She gently asked me to move or mentioned beforehand about the tiny pain. Actually I did not feel anything. The water and machine sound is just like the music. I almost fell asleep. Her assistant is also awesome. She was thinking what I was thinking. How time flies! One hour just passed very quickly. I guess children will also like this for sure. I will definitely recommend them and the clinic to my friends, colleagues and relatives. Good job! I would like to premise this by saying I'm a terribly anxious person in any medical setting, the amount of care compassion and consideration the staff take while handling clients even if they don't know you're nervous is above and beyond. I highly recommend this place for any dental needs, not only are the dentist's amazing, the receptionists are extremely warm and welcoming aswell. I spoke with a young lady named aj on the phone and I was in excruciating pain before getting to my appointment, she was patient understanding and happy to listen to me. Dr. Daran.friendly and exceptional service, Rinsi is a gem as a dental hygienist. She always goes above and beyond. The dental service l get here has been excellent and professional right from the desk staff to all who work in the back. Superb work all!

I was in extreme pain and very nervous about cost and the extractions and the dentist and assistant did an excellent job of make me very comfortable, even tho I was kicking an screaming at the beginning, over all everything went very well and I am an extremely satisfied customer thank you so much!

The staff here are absolutely fantastic. My husband is terrified of the dentist and the ladies at the front desk always give such a warm friendly vibe. The dental assistants and dentist's go of their way to make sure he is okay and calm during the entire process. Highly highly recommended!

What an experience! I was avoiding the dentist for 2yrs before coming here. I'm so glad I chose Forest Hights Family Dental. The receptionist was very sweet. The hygienist was also very sweet and so thorough and careful doing xrays. The dentist himself was so kind and explanatory. Giving me advice on how to continue with my future care considering my past experiences. Not to mention, he had my filling done in what felt like mins. I will be going back, bringing my daughter as well as recommending Forest Hights to everyone.

My experience at Forest Heights Family Dental was totally positive.
I am a senior and required the extraction of a wisdom tooth which can be difficult at my age. Dr. Molania and assistant did a great job and I have experienced no pain or swelling -healing great!

First time here for check ups and cleanings, staff were very friendly, efficient and did an amazingly thorough job on our cleanings! So happy we found this place!

Over this past year, I have had regular cleanings and checkups plus a crown replaced and I am very impressed with the level of professionalism and friendliness each time I go to the clinic. The fees are in align with the Alberta Dental recommendations so no extra billing. They are mindful about what limits my dental plan has and strive to stay within those limits when possible. I am always advised of any extra costs for procedures prior to the work being done. First class dental practice!
