I love this hardware store, it is so diversified and the staff a very helpful and friendly.

It was my first time ever visiting home hardware, and I had just moved into my very first apartment which so happened to be missing a drain plug for the bathtub. As I was browsing I felt a presence almost everywhere I went and I had noticed that one older worker in particular was following me around. Instead of asking if I needed help (which I did) she just chose to watch every move I made. I don’t know if it was because she felt awkward to ask if I needed help or if it was because my boyfriend and I are both indigenous but the environment felt very hostile and not welcoming. As much as I was excited to see what home hardware had to offer, I don’t think I will support this particular location.

After years of shopping the trio (can tire, rona, hh) we can genuinely say we rarely bother with the others anymore. Not only does this location usually carry what we need, the customer service is non-comparible. When we walk in it actually feels like a local town hardware store. The staff is fantastic, friendly, eager to help, and great at problem solving/brain storming with you. They ACTUALLY CARE

They don't have samples inside the main store of the lumber. So if your not sure walk over to the pick up area first to get an idea what your wanting then goto buy it on the other side then back to pickup again. Real nice staff but there was a older Asian fellow that walked up and questioned the young guy helping me 3 times if it was the correct wood, made me feel like he was thinking I was a criminal or something.

Terrible business to work for, this company wants you to work like a drone on minimum wage and be cautious because if you call in 1 time for not being well they will fire you for "not being reliable", extremely cruel behavior to people trying their best to make a change for themselves

Trish was fantastic to deal with. I bought a Blackstone grill and there was only one cover left for it, but it wasn’t on the shelf so Trish scoured the entire store and warehouse to find it and was successful. In my experience, lots of other people in her position would not have gone the extra mile to help me the way she did. Thx Trish. Much appreciated.

Love the store. Prices are a little higher, but it does make for a quaint shopping experience.

Went in for the first time a few nights ago and have to say, everyone was very friendly! I purchased some MDF boards for a DIY wall project and had them make the cuts for me. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to double check the measurements at the store but when I got them home, all 7 are different sizes. Lesson learned on my part, but disappointed that I now have to purchase a skill saw to fix it up.

Went in to buy screws and reciprocating saw blades, a very simple purchase.staff was very unwelcoming from the time I walked in. I felt like I was made to be a criminal by the way they conducted themselves. Not one customer representative was friendly. Will not be doing business there again.

Staff was great at directing me to exactly what I needed and it's pet friendly wonderful experience

$1 Per cut of plywood and the cuts were within 1/8". Good service, saved me having to run through a table saw.

Its a good store, lots of stuff has been added since the flood, they even expanded the store floor.

Great difficulty trying to secure items in stock to be held for more than a day. Have delt with many H/H in the past never had an issue (one time contractor for h/h) struggled to get leadership initiative to make arrangements for items to be held for agreed apon time frame.as I needed to authorize cost prior to purchase (maint contractor)

Very helpful staff, they took my Christmas tree to the checkout as I can had more shopping to do

They have a very good selection of construction materials and the staff are really friendly and helpful

Staff is very helpful and the store has some really interesting products not expected at a hardware store

Great staff (Lori, Nikkol, Ted, Kelly and others) at Lumber Desk. Would do business with them again. Nice locally run business. Way better customer service than other hardware stores in town.

I really want to support local, however its challenging when you experience the amount of attitude than some of the staff members have. I safe some as most of the people there were pleasant.thus the 3 stars instead of 1.

Question, how can a professional retail business allow their staff to have a sign on their desk with profanity, at eye level for young kids to read?

To add insult to injury, the swearing of one staff member at the front desk was unacceptable for a retail store. Its a retail store not a bar!

Sorry I can't support Home Hardware until they realize there a retail store.

There was some good. The staff on the floor were friendly and polite. The selection is of course smaller but they did a great job focusing in on the key things you probably would need from a hardware store. Home Hardware also has a pretty decent selection of Christmas "stuff" including outdoor lights, Christmas tree decorations and wreaths.

Home Hardware is a good local store that just needs to realize they chose to invite the public in and be retail.thus please be professional from entrance to exit.

No prices. It’s a waste of time for me. Would like to mow the price before I buy something. Just saying. Thanks

Great products at great prices. Check in-store as they have some amazing sales! They even have a nice bathroom.

It's not just a regular big box store.
You can find there a lot of unique accent and decor items that you would normally expect to see in a small private stores.

A tad pricey but I always go here first because they are the most knowledgeable building supply staff in YMM.

Went in looking for a Thermopile, walked around a bit found someone asked him where to find one and had the old one to show him; without saying one word he just pointed to a shelf then walked away. The shelf only had thermocouplers which was not what I was looking for. Not mad they didn't have what I was looking for just very disappointed in the lack of care and service. I left and found what I was looking for elsewhere.

Everyone knowledgeable about the department they taking care of, and because I'm there all the time they make me feel part of their team:)

Home hardware is great here in fort mac. They can often surprise you by having rare items. Plumbing especially. Friendly staff and lots of random stuff for the house too.

Great selection of everything. The staff is always welcoming and put a lot of effort in keeping the store looking very good.

I had the worst experience ever today and I have been coming to this place for years! Amanda in the paint department was the most rude person I have ever met in customer service ever! Aside from her throwing a book in our face and saying this is all we can offer then walking away to return to the two fellows she was having a grand visit with. She talked over top of us cut us off when we tried to explain what we were looking for in the first place. Not to mention being able to understand a word she said was near impossible. Then when we stood in line for her to finish her visit with the same two gentlemen. And ended up walking out with no help and no further ahead. I'm sorry for this review but I could not believe what just happened.

Love home hardware fort mcmurray and the gentlemen who works in plumbing, Jason was great, very good at what he does and knows what hes talking about! Finally, a customer service guru! Thanks!

Had a couple problems with my plumbing. The staff (Marlene and Jason I think) in the plumbing section were quick to ask if I needed any help and very smart. I got exactly what I needed and a bit of knowledge about how to prevent the same problems in the future. Thanks

The store is always clean and staffed with honest knowledgeable employees. One of the best hardware stores in town.

Staff here is fantastic. Friendly and helpful. Store is expensive but to be expected. The kitchen and bath staff is great.
