Horrible service!
Booked an online appointment for 10 am they called back to tell me that time actually isn't available, to which I said that's fine I will go somewhere else.now 2 days later I get a call saying I missed an appointment and now I need to pay for said appt even though the appointment I apparently missed wasn't even the day I tried booking for. So I guess they just randomly book appointments for people to make extra money, who knows, craziness
Definitely do not reccomend!

Never helpful, no compassion no matter how sick you are. The doctor is arrogant and not professional.

My comments are not for Doctor or pharmacist but it is for the front staff. One of the girl is extremely rude and have no ethics and sense of customer services. This "clinic" is extremely poorly ran and the "doctor" is boarderline incompetent. Have had enough poor experiences there that we started driving to the walk in clinic in Sherwood Park instead. However as it's the only true walk in clinic in town, my mother took our 2 y.o in while we were at work. She had been complaining it hurt when she pee'd. Dr looked and prescribed a cream for a yeast infection, and had her go to the lab to give a urine sample. 3 days later hadn't heard anything back about the urine test and assumed there was nothing worth noting. That night she woke up screaming and crying about having to pee but it hurt, so my wife took the following day off work to drive her to an actual doctor in Sherwood Park. They looked and immediately saw that the urine test results had been returned the morning after our initial visit (2 days earlier) and showed traces of blood and an infection. So she needlessly suffered through days with a bladder infection. We were not called to discuss the results of the test or further treatment requirements based on the test results. I guess at this clinic it's the patients responsibility to get their own test results.

Save yourself the hardships and go elsewhere.

Useless and rude. The pharmacist is the only good part about this place. I'm honestly surprised they're still in business.

Worst experience I’ve had at a doctors office, everyone there is rude, and after waiting for twenty minutes the doctors came in to tell me he wasn’t accepting new patients and that I should leave and go somewhere else.after booking an appointment and waiting

I booked an appointment, and when they called to confirm I was not able to answer the phone right away. A minute later they sent me an email saying that the appointment was cancelled. Called up and the appointment was deleted. Completely unprofessional behaviour from there staff. Avoid If you can

Edit: Took me a bit to catch up with all the other reviews, but I am reducing this from a 5 star to a 1 star. I needed to get a physical done. Doctor wouldn't do it without a full blood panel and an EKG. The form was very specific on what was required but they wouldn't look at it until unrelated things were done. Funnily enough, the front desk staff were super nice, it was the NP and Dr. E who wouldn't look in to this. Guess I need to find another doctor yet again - fully disregard my old review, that was clearly a one off on a lucky day.

Old: Everyone here was really friendly, and I feel like this is the first time in my life that a doctor has taken me seriously. She listened to everything, wrote down all of my concerns, and started the referrals at the end of the appointment. I left with 3 forms to get data. I was extremely happy and impressed, they definitely don't give off the "number in a system" vibes here. Would recommend big time.

Pharmacist is absolutely amazing.

In terms of family doctors, you won’t find a decent one here. If you’re looking for a doctor who cares, who spends more than 3 minutes with you, who doesn’t laugh at you or your concerns, who doesn’t spend most the appointment googling symptoms, who doesn’t blame you for his busy schedule, and who will follow a treatment plan from a specialist, move on. This doctor is the rudest, most uncaring, and unprofessional I have ever had the unfortunate experience of meeting. I hope anyone reading this takes heed and looks elsewhere.

I miss my appointment by 6mins called in to say it slip my mind and the receptionist quickly says I will be charge for miss appointment without even asking if I could make it somehow. They should send out some reminders for their patients, as we are busy with work and forgot lots of things.

Unprofessional staff at front desk that dont get along with each other. Will at least get you in to see a Dr.in a reasonable time where other places you wait days to see a Dr.

Dr. E is a great doctor. Very knowledgeable and insightful. Wish they would fire that one receptionist though. If you're new to the clinic she is the unprofessional one, who doesn't seem to have the capacity or skills required for her job title. Kinda hard to miss

I had been coming here for a couple of years because it was close to home. Never had an issue with the receptionists (although they seem to change very often, probably because of the head doctor) or the Nurse Practitioners. But Dr. Effunuga is a serious piece of work. He is extremely rude and does the bare minimum. It's terrible because his Nurses are great, but saying this Doctor has an attitude problem is an understatement.
ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE ANXIETY PROBLEMS. He does is best to make you feel stupid. I know doctors have it hard lately, but it is absolutely no excuse for his behavior.

Terrible doctors office. We walk in and the receptionist is yelling at a patient on the phone. I get in and the doctor yells at me about missing an appointment 5 months ago and tells me he will not see me anymore, despite the fact that THEY CALLED ME INTO THE OFFICE AND I ALREADY PAID THE FEE FOR MISSING APPOINTMENTS. He then read me my blood work and tells me I need to stop having protein shakes in the moring. I tell him ok, I use those shakes before me meds or else I vomit and cant eat anything all day and that I would like advise on something I can swap the shakes for that help. HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANY ADVICE. Told me it isn't his job as a GP. WHAT IS YOUR JOB THEN?

I've been there only a few times and the one receptionist was 100% rude every time. People skills and phone etiquette is zero.
There was a younger receptionist who was really pleasant to deal with.

I’m not going to tell anyone to not go there. Everyone has their own experiences and expectations out of a service. I however was very disappointed with the one provided.

My husband and I went in for a full body work up at the clinic for the first time sometime before the winter holidays. Upon inquiring at the reception. We were told they weren’t accepting new patients. Dr E was particularly very cordial, friendly and very easy to talk to that particular day. As it turns out I was pregnant and my next appointment was set up by the clinic. I went in knowing fulling what OBGYN referral I needed. And i needed the referral sent in quickly as the obgyn had a long waiting list. I was told it would be sent in automatically once my hcg levels increased a bit and that I won’t have to come into the clinic again for that.

I got the test done. Hcg levels had gone up. Called the clinic and I was told the doctor had gone on a holiday and that they weren’t given any such instructions. I confirmed twice if I could go to another clinic to get the referral in. And i was told by the receptionist that i could. So I did. Fast forward. I went in today for a prescription and I was asked about the referral. To which I told them I had sent it in already. I saw Dr. E’s demeanour change and he asked me why I went to another clinic. Up until that point I didn’t realize I had done something to offend him. I went and got what I preferred. Which was to get on the obgyn’s waitlist. And not wait another 2 weeks for Dr. E to come back from his holiday. Which frankly I didn’t think would be issue considering he’s not even accepting new patients. (And even if the clinic had made me a patient by now. I was not informed). All in all Dr. E got rude about it and told me that it gives him enough to wash his hands off me. I mean. Shouldn’t patient care and patient preference be your first priority? ! Yet I’m being told off for doing what i thought was best for me. And i would do it again. I didn’t respond to him as i was in a good mood prior to the appointment and I didn’t want to make a fuss about it. But honestly I wouldn’t go back after today.

There’s a lack of communication between the staff that causes confusion and results in an unsatisfied service.

I wish I could give it a 10. This doctor went over and above for a physical examination for my Drovers license medical.

At the time I was upset about it because it's not a usual process.

However in doing so he uncovered I had Hashimotos Thyroiditis.

I am no managing it well with the help of a naturopath. I had gotten very sick with it and I would not have know what was going on if it wasn't for this doctor.

I have gone to other clinics and they don't even test for the right things or even care about it.

So grateful to this doctor. Wish he was accepting regular patients.

Absolutely terrible clinic, the receptionists are so rude and have ZERO people skills. You would get more compassion and understanding from a rock. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Look elsewhere for better care!

Cancelled my appointment when I arrived and said they had nothing available until the following week

Terrible Dr. We took our son here after he suffered a knee injury at hockey. We went to a physiotherapist for an eval and she recommended that we get an ultrasound done for a suspected MCL tear. The doctor was arrogant and lazy. He said he wouldn't take the medical opinion of a physiotherapist, and refused to order any tests for us. All of this without even looking at or touching my son's knee! After arguing, he relented to ordering an x-ray which can't show damage the ligaments anyway. Ended up going to another office in Sherwood Park where my son was examined properly and given a req.for an ultrasound. Never again.

Came in with shoulder blade collar bone injury/pain and Dr. Adeboye Efunniyi Efunnuga without asking me the nature of the pain said " there's nothing i can do, you should find a family practioner" i said "an xray? " "Oh" he says "that wont show anything, but if you insist" I walked out. The guy never even checked me over let alone ask about any details.

Don’t waste your time with this place, he’s okay for quick check ups and things that, but other than that, don’t waste your time

Dr. E is a great doctor, he treats you with respect and makes sure to answer all questions and make sure you are reassured before you leave.

The reception on the other hand. Ive seen them talk down and be rude to clients plenty of times and wasnt on the blunt end of it until now. I needed to fill a prescription that I was very low for (Dr. E had told me to go on vacation and to just wait until I was back to refill) I called and made an appointment and she was very snarky on the phone in regards to me being that low on pills I needed. I let it go and confirmed the appointment for Wed at 3: 30 and she repeated back to me 2: 30 Wed so I corrected her to 3: 30 and the appointment was booked.

A week later I get a call Monday and it was from a different receptionist letting me know I had missed the appointment. I told her she must have had her dates wrong because my appointment was Wed, as discussed on the phone the week prior. The receptionist told me that I was wrong because they always confirm before hanging up and pretty much told me I was lying. She told me I needed to pay a no show fee, I tried letting her know that something must have gone wrong because I was 100% sure that my appointment was Wed. She wasn't willing to listen and I needed the refill so I asked when the next appointment is. She tells me that I need to pay a $50 fee before even seeing my doctor and if he wants to reimburse me then that's up to him.

I reminded her that I had the appointment for two days later on my calendar, phone, and had booked other appointments around it. That I knew it was on the day I had written down. To no avail she kept brushing me off and didn't care.

I told her I would just have to find a new doctor and she brushed that off as well. Its too bad because I liked Dr. E but if you are looking for an overall caring clinic then I would avoid Fort Station Medical

The overall clinic itself is fine. However the missed appointment fee is outrageous at $100.00. That's right a $100.00 which must be paid when they surprise you with the total at your next appointment as it must be paid to be able to attend your appointment. Or if you leave as your unable to pay, you guessed it, another $100 fee for your missed appointment. They also make it a point to not advertise the fee amount on any of their signage and will not tell you on your called confirmation reminder about the outstanding fee until your literally standing at the counter for your current appointment. Understanding that the AMA doesn't have guidelines for missed appointments but should be at the discretion of the physician, this isn't practical, who often has an extra $100? ! If you do, and life happens then it works for anyone else I'd recommend a new doctors office.

Missed an appointment called within 15 mins if the appointment start time to say It slipped my mind, they set up another appointment at 2, then called back to cancel and reschedule and wanted to charge me 50 to get another appointment a joke of a place

The office advertises as a walk in medical clinic, however they're not truly a walk-in clinic. Don't wait to see if you can get in.

Terrible service. It’s not a walk-in clinic whatsoever. You need an apt for that. They’ll tell you the walk-in is first come first serve and the time the doctor starts seeing patients. You’ll show up on time and “it’s full”. If you get in to see The doctor, he will see you for 30 seconds and send you on your way.
Just drive to Sherwood park.

I could not get in to see my family doctor for follow up in a timely manner so I came to this walk-in-clinic following advice from my pharmacist as I was thought to be experiencing a severe negative reaction to a new medication I had recently started taking, including a sudden loss of vision and dangerously high blood pressure. I rarely drink alcohol, hadn’t had an alcoholic beverage for weeks prior to this and I do not do any illegal (or legal) drugs. When asked the reason for my visit by the nurse/receptionist at the front counter, I briefly explained that I was experiencing a negative reaction to new medication and as I walked away from the counter to be seated, the nurse laughed and stated to the nurse next to her "how much do you want to bet it's because she's mixing it with alcohol. ” The waiting room was empty, therefore the clinic was silent, and this comment was made very loud and clear. On my way out, I confronted this particular nurse regarding her accusations at which time she denied saying what I very clearly heard her say.

As if that comment wasn’t enough, part way through evaluation by Dr. Effunga, he briefly left the room and while standing outside the (open) door speaking with the nurse, clearly said to her “I’m going to need a drink after this one, too. ” He proceeded to dismiss every concern I had as well as run a urine test right there at the clinic, returning to the room a short time afterward with results to say to me "you're right, there's nothing in your system. " He rushed me out the door with 5 prescriptions in my hand, absolutely zero direction or explanation what they were for and no consideration in regards to adjusting the dose or discontinuing use of the medication I was currently on and possibly reacting to.

This was extremely unprofessional conduct from both the doctor and nurse and horrendous treatment of a patient. There should be no place for such assumptions and judgment in a medical clinic, especially prior to any type of evaluation or understanding of a patients medical condition. I certainly will never return here and strongly suggest others to find a more suitable clinic that values and respects their patients.

I was treated very well by the staff and as a walk in. It was such a relief to me to be able to walk in and see a doctor. I developed a UTI and couldn't get in for treatment anywhere else. I saw the nurse practioner on her first day and she was helpful and very thorough. Thank you for being part of the health community in Fort Saskatchewan

I thought medical staff would be the most stringent about mask wearing, but that's not the case here. Both receptionists had their masks under their chin, and one even came out from behind the counter to come and talk to me even closer. Thanks for the extra chance to catch covid, that's exactly what I need.

Also don't bother with their online booking system, you need to call to confirm appointments booked that way.

I totally have no idea what any of these negative reviews regarding the staff or doctors are about. I was hesitant because of them, but when my usual walk-in clinic couldn't get me in I went to see Dr Efunnuga and he was amazing. Completely understanding, listened to my issues, and his bed side manner is the reason I even cared enough to write a review! ️ The receptionists, 3 of them, were completely kind and squeezed me in to accommodate my schedule. Would definitely go back

Very unprofessional staff and doctor. Dr effunugga is extremely impatient and rude. He also thinks that googling your symptoms in front of you is a professional take on diagnosing and treating.

I have been to this medical clinic for a very long time and I was shocked when I called to make an appointment to find out they they close at 6pm. I live from paycheck to paycheck and can't afford to take time off to go in for a simple prescription refill because they do not do refills over the phone. I'm at work from 6: 30am to 6: 00 pm Monday to Friday and now this place closes at 6pm. So really nobody caters to the working population anymore.
Time to look for a new doctor's office that does cater to the working population.

Awesome familey Docters office always took me in with little to no time. Love that they are open late. So I don't usally have to book time off.

This place has the organizational skills equivalent to a child.i had a 1: 30 pm appointment that I showed up for at 10 after 1, and I sat there until 2pm.in an empty waiting room, just to get a refill for an inhaler for my copd condition.unbelievable, unprofessional and infuriating.

In my experience Dr. Efunga is inept, arrogant, argumentative and unprofessional. I will never return to this clinic.

I had to got there twice in one week, once for my daughter and once for myself. The staff checked us in quickly each visit and we got to see the Dr right away both times. We saw different Dr's each visit and they were both friendly and listened to our concerns. My daughter got a fix to her ear ache and she feels much better. After I got my examination the Dr wrote me a letter to take to the ER where I ended up having surgery for what he thought my problem was. I even got a phone call back asking me how everything turned out. I'm very thankful for their great service
