Large size pizza while tasting very good is barely enough for 2 Adults, so portion size gets 1 star.

As always after a hard days work I'm always welcomed when I sit down. The staff over the years have always served the best meals and treated me with the utmost respect. Even the owner has asked me what I thought of some of the changes on the menu and other idea's that they did in the past. They really made me feel like I was a part of what was going on in our community. Thanks you guys. You'll always have my business.

Came in. Was seated a few minutes. The people before us got a big hug we just get follow me.
Then was brought a SECOND root beer to my 7 yr old son, in a pint glass, without asking. Kinda wish we asked first. Had to ask for a glass of water but was offered a refill or a 2nd of my beer.
Food came hot and quick. Very delicious.

Popped in with a friend for a bite to eat. Turns out that a large pizza is perfect for two to share. I wish that they would get rid of the hard-plastic table covers, and update the tables and chairs.

We were customers since they opened in the 80s. We went to Franco’s 1 (the original location 50 street) My mom wanted to go there for her birthday lunch. We were a group of 5 people (August 17 1pm.after lunch rush). We no longer live in the area so we made a special road trip to get there. We were ignored.we had to ask for utensils, and napkins.our table was sticky and wasn’t cleaned before seating.my husband who came a little bit late never received or asked if he wanted anything to drink …we never had or asked if we wanted any drink refills. We were very disappointed in the service considering I worked at Franco’s 2 (Victoria trail 80’s) and we used to be loyal customers before we moved. Would not recommend or go back.

Franco’s has excellent pizza — there’s no denying that. But its treatment of its staff is beneath contempt. Who lets one waitress hold down the fort on what I assume is their busiest night (karaoke night) ? So yes — our food and drinks were late and patchily delivered, but who can blame her? In our capitalistic, anti-worker society, probably most people. Shame on the owners and managers. You will never get my business again no matter how good your food is. Workers’ rights are more important than food. Note: this incident occurred the evening of April 6,2023.

The food is a touch overpriced perhaps, but usually pretty good. I am a regular take-out customer and typically I have a pretty good interaction. Most times I am the only person at the counter when I arrive to pick up, and don’t often observe the restaurant being very busy, but I try make sure I give a little extra time to get everything ready before I arrive, as the food takes some time to prepare. Today I gave an extra 15 minutes and when I arrived the cashier was immediately visibly frustrated and complaining to the customers waiting that everyone was arriving early (there was only myself and one other patron at the counter, and she hadn’t even asked us which orders we were there for at that point), and advised that she had to go check if everything was ready. She then asked the First Lady in line to pay, and when she responded “oh you want me to pay? ” (simply clarifying what she had said), the cashier very rudely snapped at her “yes people have to pay before I go get their pizza because that’s how pizzas go missing and I have to pay for them if that happens. ” The lady paid and the worker went to the back to check on her order (only) and did not return for some time. Another worker then came to the register, by which time a number of people had begun to come in and assemble for pickup and to be seated. Several guests were seated, and then a small handful of the new arrivals at the counter were asked for their names (everyone but me, despite the fact that I was the second to arrive and had already been waiting for some time for the first worker to return) and the worker went to check on their food. Another worker then arrived at the cash, and asked who had been helped and who hadn’t. I raised my hand. When she checked for my order in the computer she told me quite bluntly “she should have quoted a longer time, ” and I let her know that she had quoted me 25 minutes due to the kitchen being busy and I had given 40 minutes (I didn’t add that I had probably been waiting another 10-15 since entering the door) but that that was okay and I was willing to wait patiently. She then exclaimed to the entry full of waiting customers “Jesus Christ…. All the orders are screwed up, ” and then proceeded to complain to another worker about the same. I sat back down to wait. The debit machine wasn’t working properly and that created even more chaos for the workers who were visibly spiralling at this point. I can appreciate running behind, I can appreciate things going wrong, I can appreciate the frustration the workers were feeling, and ultimately, I waited patiently and contently as all of the other customers paid and got their orders and left, and when my order finally came out I was even offered an apology and free pop for the “chaos, ” as I paid (apparently you don’t actually have to pay before someone will check on your order), however it remains mentionably deplorable to have had to watch the workers snap at customers so rudely (insinuating the sweet elderly lady who had been in front of me might steal the pizzas if she didn’t pay first), curse, and throw one another and the organization within the operation under the bus so publicly in front of waiting customers, and it was apparent to me that doing so only added franticness of the situation, which for me personally caused an immense amount of unnecessary anxiety as a customer. General organization, communication, and attention to customer experience, especially in high volume moments, could use some attention from management.

Truly a great little pub with an amazing staff always fun and joking around with customers new and old, Christine is like a whirlwind serving drinks and making the customers feel like they matter, great place for us old coots to have a beverage and a few laughs

Terrible bar wouldn’t recommend. Will not call a cab for you would rather for someone to get behind the wheel while drinking. To make someone with a nerve disease walk home over an hour away staff and management should be ashamed

Really good pizza, had the game on the big screen which was nice. The bathroom is kinda tight and there was a guy who passed out in the toilet for nearly an hour. Lots of VLT's if that's what you're into. Will most likely visit again if I'm in the area.

Delicious pizza but not really worth the price for a 12" pizza. Can get larger pizzas for the same or less elsewhere.

Michelle is the absolutely best. She anticipates what people need so friendly. Tiffany is as well. The food is so good and the atmosphere bar to none. Big fan!

My wife is 2nd generation Italian-Canadian, so we’ve become pizza connoisseurs of a sort. I ordered a 3-topping pizza, of which the crust and ingredients were fine. The issue (and this is not just Franco’s, but almost all pizzerias we’ve tried in Edmonton) is the overuse of garlic in their sauce. Most places, Franco’s included, use garlic to such an extent that it’s the dominant flavor in most of the dishes. I wish I knew why everyone loves garlic so much. It’s actually used more sparingly in Italy than people think. Anyways, for this Franco’s gets a failing grade

I got a 10" Greek pizza in restaurant and omg it was spectacular. You never really expect much with a 10" but it was loaded! Had to take most of it to go

I've been going to Franco's for years. Staff are always fun and friendly. Neighborhood pub atmosphere. Food is great whether you dine in the restaurant, order it in the pub, or take it to go. When I'm home it's the only place I get pizza from now.

I’ve been a regular for a minute, I always come for the pizza & the mussels in the shell are absolutely to die for. I go for lunches and am served by Krystine often, fun places and great service

I always make time to order a pizza from this location every time I am in Edmonton. The pizza is not greasy like a lot of other places. The dough and crust perfect and they put plenty of toppings and cheese on the pizza. We always have the ham and mushroom and it has never disappointed. While the pizza may seem a little pricey but is not. Excellent quality loaded with good ingredients. Give it a try and you will become a regular at Franco’s for your pizza choice.

Great little pub with decent food, daily specials and a pool table. On tap beer selection is rather scarce, but it's always a fun place to hangout.

Spaghetti wasn't cooked through, the ribs were pretty tough for being "fall off the bone", not to mention the ribs were literally thrown into a take out container and just had BBQ sauce poured on them.
The bruschetta made the toast soggy to the max (only took me around 4 mins from pick up time to my place) and they forgot to give me my side of Ceasar salad.

My partner and I both loved the food here at Franco’s. I had the pasta Piscatore dish it was simply delicious and I can tell it was made with love.satisfied. Service was excellent. We would definitely come right back.

Amazing experience! Ordered some takeout and Helen gave me a bowl of the feature soup because I mentioned it sounded delicious, free of charge! Fries are a 10/10! Will definitely be back!

I had never been before. I was meeting someone there, for a job interview (Not Franco's). The Staff were friendly and attentive, without being pushy, or distracting. I was a short stay, so I didn't get to see their menu, but the person I was with, had been there many times, and said their menu is pretty good.

So my bartender gets a 5 star but when I tried to tell the manager how great she was compared to the last time I was there, he walked away.poor management but great bartender. 5 star bartender. 1 star manager

Was looking forward to a great meal and we were so disappointed! They are said to have great pizza.well our pizza was cold and soggy! I would think with being closed down and now open they would make sure each meal is the best and perfect! I had the mussels and they were earful! Hope I don’t get sick from eating some of them! We will never go there and make a point to let people know how awful it was!

I like a pizza with lots of toppings and this restaurant serves a Franco special (we sub no shrimp) and even the crust is amazing.the best pizza I have found in a decade of dedicated pizza research!

It used to be a treat for our family to order Francos pizza because it is more expensive than other pizza but it was worth it because when you ordered a meat pizza you always got lots of meat and other toppings. Ordered last night the pizza is still the same higher price than the rest but the toppings were cut back to the point we might as well ordered a cheese pizza. That was the last time for this family. Really too bad we really did enjoy Francos.

This Francos is amazing! Pasta was cooked perfect, mushrooms and meatballs too. Steak was amazing and cooked properly and spiced perfect. I've never been to Francos before but if they all are as good as this one I'll have to make Francos my new favourite. Finally a restaurant that actually knows how to cook!

This was me and my buddies watering hole for about 2 or 3 years and can say that they have fantastic staff that work there, the food can be a bit pricey but it's damn good. The ambiance is not super high class but it's got a perfect mix of everything that we wanted in there to have a beer and relax.

I came here last night with a friend for dinner. Our server was amazing and hilarious. I find its hard to find amazing servers that want to joke around with you. My favorite part was when she giggled about me getting an apple juice. Some may of taken offense but me i loved it. I love feeling more unique and it wasn't even a bad giggle. It was more of a shocked giggle that an adult wanted some. It just really made my night! Also The food was also amazing! Now that I have moved and live closer you will be seeing me there more often! Thank you for the amazing experience and answering all of our questions. You truly have wonderful customer service ^. ^ Sorry I don't remember the servers name but I know she will of remembered us!

No long lineups for getting a table, getting food or bottle service, has any popular sports program on the tube and has a few VLTs to try your luck for a jackpot prize.

Simple Italian style food with a mix of a few other things on the menu. Doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. This place also has really great pizza and comfortable and clean setting with great service. Don't go expecting to find authentic Italian dishes or a super fancy setting but overall a great place and good food.

Franco's is a great place for Italian food. Food is well-prepared and delicious. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Meals are very well priced.
There's also a pub side to the restaurant. Facility is extremely clean

The manager isn't very nice to women, and has been negative towards a lot of my friends that have gone here, the other women staff are great but dont want to be around someone who is rude to female friends

We booked our team supper at Franco's in advance. We had about 30 people in our group, traveling by coach bus (we are a ringette team from another province). Franco's was so much better than going to a usual chain restaurant. The staff were well prepared for our arrival. They had all tables ready for us when we arrived. The ambiance was great, warm and inviting with a classic Italian restaurant feel. Considering the size of our group, the service was fast and very friendly. The menu choices included a mix of familiar options as well as some different and interesting choices. The food was fantastic. So good that I'll have to return to try a couple other items on the menu. I would highly recommend to any team looking for great food and service for their team meal!

Karaoke City! Probable the best selection of karaoke songs I've seen in awhile. Crowd is great and typically participate in both singing and applauding those who sang. Servers were great too!

Tried once to get a pizza.so much was wrong with the staff and the pizza itself. It seemed to be all on that days staff from my interaction with the 'manager' when they royally screwed up my pizza and expected me to pay for and take a pizza with pork on it I didn't order and clearly stated to keep away from pork.so they got to keep a pineapple and ham pizza and I went to Sam's Pizza in belmead shopping center which is ALWAYS delicious.especially his cheese or just pineapple and cheese.
I will never even TRY to eat Francos again.not just because of the horrid service but mostly because two days after we tried to get food there. My friend grabbed a cheese pizza and it was gross.overly doughy and could see tomatoe sauce all over it because they were so cheap with the cheese

Oh! On top of that a large from Sam's is only 11$ last I saw. We paid waaaaay more for that gross doughy tomatoe disaster. WAY more!
They argued and argued instead of just taking the first pizza back and the one my friend picked up after went straight in the trash after he called and tried to complain and get a proper one or his money back something.
Sam's is WAY faster too!

My girlfriend and I went to Franco’s on a quiet Monday afternoon. I had the Linguini Vongole. Nice creamy pasta dish. I was surprised by the number of white clams. The amount of pasta was a bit on the small size, however. They could’ve added some more linguine noodles. Maybe they were out of noodles? The server was pleasant and attentive. The white sauce was ok. Not wow, but ok. The French onion soup was really good. Cheesy and full of flavor. I actually liked it better than the Linguine Vongole. Overall, I had a good impression of this clean, nice-looking restaurant. It’s conveniently tucked away in a shopping strip in the Callingwood area in West Edmonton.

I'm trans and was told it is a LGQTB+ freindly place by a friend. My girlfriend and I went to karaoke on a Saturday night and everyone there was wonderful and fun. Nice place. Very clean. Great servers. We went to the pub at the 50 street location.

My first visit to Franco’s was on May 8. I met a friend for lunch. We had a very nice Waitress by the name of Wanda.
There was one other person in the restaurant who was very friendly. A male who had been chatting with my friend before I arrived.
We ordered and we were having a nice visit until screaming came from the kitchen area. We could here there whole conversations. When the waitress came back to our table she apologized for the raised voices. She said her and the owner were having words and that she was to find another job. Then her job at Franco’s would be terminated.
Wanda was an excellent waitress. She said she had 30 years experience. What a loss to this restaurant.
Then the cook came out and was telling the male to hurry up and leave and stop bothering the customers. He was not bothering us. He was just being friendly. I guess he was homeless and the owner had given him $20. The waitress had told us about the man.
So it was a very eventful lunch. The food was very good. Disappointed that the waitress had to be reprimanded in front of the customers. Plus she was the one that apologized and still took great care of us even though the outcome of their confrontation. The owner never came to check on his customers or apologize.
Whoever higher’s Wanda will be very lucky to have her. What a loss for Franco’s. I hope the owner reconsiders and keeps Wanda as an employee and gives her a raise for the abuse she had to take.

Cozy place with great customer service. First time here and will be returning. The Canadian Pizza was AMAZING. I wish I could have discovered this place earlier. 100% recommended.
