Asked to get a Scene card. Since I don’t have one. Was told no they only do online. Not a good way to get customers to get the Scene card. The store was a mess. Open product on the shelf
It's q grocery store. Are prices lower. Not always. Sometimes less than Safeway, Sobeys or Save-on. Most prices are higher than Walmart or No Frills. Heavy emphasis on self checkout and bring your own bags. Average really. JUNE 28. Shopping carts require a quarter but often apparently won't take one. Bought baby carrots, got them home and they were slimy. Only the express checkout and self checkouts were open. Won't be going back anytime soon
Today I visited this store looking for a item. The shelf was empty however sufficient stock of the item was lying at the top stocking area. I requested one of the cashier standing at closed counter who called concerned person on Address system. I waited for three to four minutes but nobody attended me. Ultimately I had to abandon the purchase of the item.
Just as the name implies “Fresh” and quality products, nice aisles setup making it quite easy to find products. Although few products are kinda overpriced but it’s definitely worth it. Excellent customer service
Went for the first time and it was PHENOMENAL. I haven't seen prices that cheap since before the pandemic! Staff were very helpful and the store wasn't overwhelming like a lot of major grocery stores are!
Have been doing my usual grocery shopping here for quite sometime. Not a lot to complaint except that short staff on a weekend morning. Having onky 1 operational checkout counter on a weekend morning doesn't give out a good feeling. On top of this, the male washroom was out of operation. Every second feels like an hour when you have to pee on a winter morning. They should have it fixed asap.
It’s obvious that on the weekends, they are not adequately staffed to handle the volume of people checking out. Only two staffed checkout stands were open and only three out of the four self checkouts were open. While standing at the self checkout, every single one of them at one point indicated that a staff member needed to check for an unexpected item in the bagging area. Despite doing everything in order and making every attempt to not have this message pop up, it did anyways. While this message was displayed, putting a complete stop to people checking out, the lineup volume only increased until staffed finally made their way over after almost six minutes of standing there waiting. In addition, a good portion of the sale items were no longer in stock. Management or the owners of this location need to take into account that Safeway is right across the street, Save On Foods is just down the road, and No Frills is only a short drive away. Out of all of these grocery options, I will now hesitate to do any shopping there given the other choices available. Almost every time I’ve decided to shop at Freshco, I’ve regretted the experience afterwards. I could get into a whole complaint about the current cost of groceries and the remarkable profits these companies are making…maybe use some of those record profits to adequately staff your location and support your employees a little more.
Customer service is not the greatest. It's also not the very worst. That said, there are some decent employees and couple cute ladies with bit of attitudes, but not bad enough to keep anyone from shopping there. The chicken breast expensive and the quality was not very good; the meat cutter or butcher needs to be better. Lots of bruises, discoloration, specks of blood and how it is cut and left is NOT high quality.
Clean, large. Most everything you need but not a huge selection to choose from. Hours are great. If you are looking for a wider variety to choose from, this isn't the place to shop.
Hard to give a grocery store a bad review, BUT a) Whenever I buy salmon, the smell after opening the package is revolting. Use your imagination, that can't be good.b) last few times there have been NO chicken thighs (the whole chicken shelf was empty, but I went for thighs) and finally, c) Was treated quite poorly when trying to price-match some meatballs. This store has "WE PRICE MATCH" signs everywhere, but turns out there's a specific list of stores they will match. In this case it was Safeway they refused to price match.and finally, there other stuff isn't really more affordable than other options. Sure- the expired salad's get the $0.99 sticker from time-to-time, but not much else going on in this store.
I was at freshco heritage at bought begal and cashier charge me $3 & $4.09 for other but price on it is 3 dallor when ask him he said some body put the wrong sign
Freshco has good food and at times marked right down.morning seems to be best for produce.there sale tags are tricky and I'm sure a lot of people are tricked by them.then the lineups with one teller.really? Not only once but almost every time I go there. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't go there anymore for that reason. Other than that it's good. Clean and organized.
Not a large location but clean and well lit with a good selection of inventory. Staff were thin but pleasant and helpful. Prices aren't quite as low as the hype about town but still pretty good. Worth adding to your rounds of stores when grocery shopping.
One of the best store to get all the grocery in one place. The price is quite reasonable (mostly, sometimes you may find a product or two at a higher price, but you can skip that product if its not urgent and pick it up the next time, otherwise if you are buying multiple things then the price of others will offset). In short they have combined the best of Indian store and Superstore under one roof. I guess a little more Indian products and I will never have to go to an Indian store ever.
I was worried when they announced they were switching from Sobeys, this store had a small town feel and a nice mix of broad selection and smartly chosen niche products. Freshco is definitely different, but while the niches they target are more practically based on local community ethnographics, it's still fun to shop - Filipino, Jamaican, pretty broad Asian and Indian, and British products in evidence. The general selection is great, prices are good. All in all, a welcoming and convenient place to shop.
Today, I went to grab a frozen lamb chunk that is on their flyer as the special offer of the week. They don't have any, early in the morning, because they are out! Rain check is a NO, by the manager himself, because they have supplies issues! Scam. I never go there and when I did, I regretted it.
I picked up sour cream on Friday that has expiry date of January 31st. Opened it today and it had mold. I sent it back to the store but they refused to exchange it without the receipt. I had not kept the receipt because I hadn't expected FRESCO to be selling molded item.
Really Wish The Sobeys Was Back In This Location, The Staff Here Are Ignorant, Will Not Offer Help If You Need Help Locating Anything, If You Can Find Them Wherever They Choose To Hide, The Sobeys Did A Much Better Job At Everything, Had Friendlier Staff And Carried A Wider Range Of Products. I For One Will Be Taking My Shopping Away From This Place Where The Staff Profile Customers And Help Certain Ones Over Others.
I Also Don't Understand The Name, FRESHCO, There Is Nothing Fresh About This Place, No Baked Fresh Daily Baked Goods, Everything Is Prepackaged Garbage.
Nice store, good selection. Great staff and owner. Produce is fresh, well priced and has a good selection The reasons that, I don't give a 5* is that the produce bags are almost impossible to open, and self checkout is laid out backwards and override are the norm. Not the exception.
Not my regular grocery shopping place. I only went in and picked up one item, so to comment would not be fair, but I am sure its a great place to shop for those who live in the area.
I arrived in front of the store at 7: 30 am thinking its opet at 7 am as it states on here. Wait outside for 10 minutes on -24°C just to find out they actually open at 8am. Huge difference.
This has been an Independently owned location when it was an IGA and sobey's later. I believe it still is Independently owned in its current form as Fresh Co. It has lower prices This is the closest location with cultural produce, snacks and grains/dals. It has ibdian and European specialities, frozen Greek foods yum!
It's just like a No Frills but cleaner, brighter, and better customer service.
LOL at the lady who rated this store 1-star because she couldn't find "anything" gluten-free. Um, did you not see (obviously gluten-free) fruits and vegetables when you walked in the front door? Was there really nothing gluten-free in the dairy and grocery departments? You do not need a gluten-free aisle to find gluten-free products. Get real lady!
Fast check out, amazing prices. Store is bright, clean, fully stocked and FRESH! I grabbed a basket, had to go back for a cart! For those who have been hunting for the perfect grocery store Naan Bread, I suggest the “Tandoor Baked Santosh Traditional Naan”. My family and I love South Asian take out and this particular Naan has the taste and smell of authentic Naan you would get if you were ordering from a South Asian restaurant. Best part, it is on sale for $1.50!
Worst customer service by Cashier Who was in the night shift on Friday April 9th, She should know the policy of the store and also needs to learn how to handle customers, she is not the problem shelving employees rather making tuff for the customers. I bought the stuff 2 days ago and price dropped down to almost 1/2 today so I went for Price match and she told me she can’t do price match, So she make me to return the stuff, I never even seen this kind of policy in superstore or Walmart. My request to Dear Store manager, please teach your some of the staff to behave nicely with the customer, and teach them how to solve problem and talk politely.
Very disappointed with the lady, I will not buy anything if I will see her again in the store
The prices here are amazing. Lots of good deals. We will be coming back here. Also the fruits and produce were very good quality. Clean and very organized.
I went there this afternoon and the Fire Code says 95 but there is way more than 200 people in the store. Multiple families of 5 people shopping together. It is way too crowded. Not a good 1st impression of this new store.
I went to Fresco this week and I was very impressed with the store. It is a very clean and bright well organized and the employees were very polite and helpful. I have been to Superstore and Nofrills and the stores are not has clean and organized as FreshCo. FreshCo's produce dept.is very organized, very fresh produce. Pricing on products is cheaper than Superstore and Nofrills. This is my new shopping store I will not be going back Superstore or Nofrills. I will recommend to all friends start shopping at FresshCo.
I didn't know that FreshCo was open yet until I seen my neighbor come back with their grocery bags. I was so excited to go there and see what it was all about. I was, and still am, so impressed. It has never been overly busy, the staff have always been super friendly, and the store lay out just makes sense. This location has become my #1 grocery store.
It's like a Sobeys with less products and old style shelving. Prices are almost the same but sale prices are Good. Like any grocery store watch the flyer.
I was not pleased with this store's covid safety. I just visited for the first time and am not sure I will be back in future.
For one, there was a customer flagrantly walking around the store not wearing a mask. I saw this man interact with several employees, asking for something to be gotten from the stock room and none of them mentioned his lack of a mask. I did not intervene because I don't think it's fair for another customer to put a member of the floor staff in that position on the spot, but I'm mentioning it here because this must not be allowed to happen in future. A manager should have been alerted of this man's presence immediately and made to make him leave the store. However, there was no staff member at the store entrance keeping count of customers or advising customers of covid regulations, so this man obviously walked into the store without issue. This is the only store in town I've been to recently without somebody at the door for this purpose. I absolutely understand staff's hesitance to publicly call out a customer for this behaviour, but they should have gone to a superior to have them deal with it, that's what managers are for. Besides this I also saw several members of staff wearing their masks improperly, be it under their nose of under their chin, and I even saw one staff member wipe their nose before touching products on the shelf. Just unacceptable. The selection and prices are fine, but I won't be putting myself at risk to visit this store when No Frills and Superstore are far better at enforcing important safety regulations.
Very sad to see that there was no in store bakery. When this was a sobeys I went just because they had fresh bread and buns. Prices are good but in line with what I would pay at superstore. Quality and selection of meats is not great. I miss the quality and bakery from sobeys.
No bakery or deli. Ailes very claustrophobic and compact. Feels like Home Depot ailes. Compact and crowded store overall. Lots of produce though. The Sobeys that was here before was way better.
