FreshCo Pharmacy Ogden

You guys shouldn't close before the time stated on your hours. Not only did you lose a customer. You also get a 1 star review. Hope those few minutes were worth it.

The team at the pharmacy is great! I've been coming here for years, even when it was Safeway. 10/10 prescriptions would fill again: D

The Pharmacy at freshco has ben great. Friendly and fast, always have what I am prescribed. Happy so far.

Good store friendly staff need to fix the only in one door out the other door to far for elderly people to walk my dad refuses to go to store because of that

There's always employees just standing around by the cashiers yet they make you bag your own groceries. The shopping carts require money to use and who carries change around these days. I would buy so much more if the carts were free and the employees actually did their job. Oh well Sobeys is only a 2 minute drive away.

For boxed goods that don’t expire, it’s fine. But ironically, anything “fresh” is in the saddest state you could imagine. Literally watching produce die before your eyes

This store is a bit of a sensory nightmare. It's incredibly bright and the overhead furnaces are quite loud. Then they try to drown that sound out with music. The isles are very tall and spaced close together so everything feels very crowded. The selection is fine and prices are meh, comparable to the previous safeway. The staff is friendly though. If you have sensory issues, I'd avoid this store. ️

Waste of space and hype. Corporation is just lots of lipstick on a pig, with no respect to customers, just smoke and mirrors to take your money.

Ask a person with a disability what it is like. Handicapped parking at entrance, but must leave at far entrance, and at this time of year, nothing like snow and ice in a poorly cleared lot, to navigate when walking is a challenge in the first place.

Then of course, they don't trust the residents of the "hood" and make the carts coin accessible only. On top of that, there were no carts in the store, so go get one yourself, no service here for our high prices (I saw several things that were 40% or more cheaper at Walmart.)

I will not go back, what for?

So this replaced Safeway which had been in Ogden for as long as I can remember reaching back to the '70s, including its original location over on Ogden road. Recently this store was converted and I guess the idea of this chain is to be more budget friendly. Visiting here for the first time today, and the first time at this chain, You definitely feel the budget friendly vibe.

After going through all of the departments My wallet didn't really feel the budget friendly vibe. There's not really any difference in pricing, yeah there's a few things cheaper but I study the flyers these days using the flip app because you have to with grocery prices being as expensive as they are. I know my price is pretty well shopping between all of the big chains and Costco, so I was expecting to see bigger savings here. I didn't see that at all. The produce was fresh and looked great, I bought some oranges and some other vegetables. I wasn't expecting much at all from the meat department so I was surprised to see some good quality cuts of meat, and some that had discount stickers on them because today was the last day for them to sell it which were pretty generous and a good deal.

Going up and down the aisles they have everything that you are going to look for, but not really at cheaper prices. I did get some delicious bread that I hadn't really seen in other stores called Sweet bread, it reminds me of the Hawaiian brand of hot dog and hamburger buns you can get in the States and it is delicious. It was nice to see that you could get half loaves of different kinds of bread including rye and sourdough, which is a bit cheaper for a single person and you don't end up throwing half the loaf away. The dairy department had everything you want and priced just like everywhere else.

Overall it's a good store where you can get everything you want, the decor and vibe of the store is definitely no frills. Hmmm that Sounds familiar. I talked to a staff member in the store who was incredibly happy and helpful, the person working at the cash register was kind of the exact opposite, but I'm not sure if that really matters at the end of the day. There is lots of parking and I would go back and shop here regularly, if there was a butcher shop nearby it would be a perfect combination.

Meat department is bad selling expired meat. The same with the bakery selling bread and buns that were stale and dry. Also, some very unfriendly staff in the meat department someone yelling at another employee who looked like she was just doing her job. Also why are there never any cooked chickens? I won't be back.

Had a good experience on first trip helpful employees extremely low prices awesome produce selection meat was hardly available but did find chicken breast for a great price! I will be back great job freshco

I used to go to the old Safeway a lot. I really liked it even though obviously it was pretty dumpy inside. Staff were great, selection was pretty good. I tried the new freshco and I'm conflicted.

On the one hand the prices on a lot of things were actually quite good, which was really the only positive.

On the negative side. They changed the door layout which is now totally dumb meaning if you park near shoppers you're walking through half the parking lot. The new store reno is atrocious - narrow isles, gross colors, bright lights. I'm not exaggerating when I say it feels like shopping at a dollarama that sells food.

I didn't see any of the old staff but sobeys somehow managed to fire all of the Safeway staff and hire these new ones at lower wages, but they still have enough on staff so there's like 5 of them standing around the front tills doing nothing. I actually had a woman ring up my lettuce and ask me if it was romaine lettuce. Hey if you wanna ask me if it's Parsley or cilantro I get it but is this romaine lettuce are you kidding me?

These may seem like unusual gripes but the Safeway was a 10x better shopping experience. I'll probably still come here from time to time because the quarry park co op is stupid expensive but shopping here after being a regular at Safeway was like seeing an ex again after a year only to find out they picked up a drug habit and let themselves go. Yikes.

Edit: I bumped to 3 stars because the prices overall are pretty good. I still do not enjoy shopping here anymore.

Selection is so so; fine for grabbing a few things. Customer service is beyond poor though, cashiers looking like you’re an inconvenience, lying/slumped over on cash desks, talking amongst themselves instead of ringing in purchases; miss the Safeway staff

I don't mind Freshco it is way cheaper than Safeway ever was. Fairly good selection of fruits and vegetables as well as dairy and non dairy items. It is worth getting the Scene+ Card since it does save you more on certain items that may be on sale. Yes it is more like a No Frills store in the way of not having an in store deli or bakery department that make fresh to go meals. However, some of the same products you would buy at Walmart are cheaper at Freshco.

I made my first and last visit to Freshco in Ogden today.
You have to pay for a cart, produce was not that fresh or great, no Cat Treats, have to bag your own groceries, then walk to the other end of the store to get out. The cashier opened the produce bags touching my fruit and veggies to get the numbers off each one, she did NOT know the codes. The environment is cold and unfriendly. I never saved a dime on anything! Good bye

It's a totally different feel from the Safeway, but I will shop here. Just know your prices! I did find some great deals.

Nothing "fresh" about it. Bread sold past expiry date and moldy. Never any cooked chickens and terrible customer service. I will stick with my Co-op

The store is Newly opened, reasonable price and variety’s items available specially for Indian, south Asian food’s items

Went to this store twice, price not cheap. Mini watermelon was soggy inside, not fresh. Be careful when you shop for Fresh deal, the price at the booth different alot at shake out. If I am not in emergency need, I won't go back.

Although the old Safeway was dingy and depressing, I somehow still liked it than this new Freshco. First, they use a quarter for their cart. Who brings change nowadays? Maybe there are a few and I'm not one of them. Second, no customer service. Since I didn’t have a quarter, I was hoping to get one from the customer service, but they don't have that so I carried my stuff in my shopping bag. Didn’t buy heavy stuff, which made me go to Walmart so it doubled my time and trip. I'd rather go to Sobeys now than shop here. It's way more convenient.

Nowhere near the same experience or selection that Safeway had. No difference in pricing than anywhere else and the decor could’ve been better picked out. All in all it was a downgrade from the long standing Safeway that will be missed. It’s just a local place to shop and no reason o go out of your way.

Produce is definitely NOT fresh- most of the tomatoes on display on Saturday 12th November 2022 were rotten. The apples I bought were not fresh. I wasted money on garbage produce, having to rebuy at the Coop in Quarry Park. Please do better.

In and out door on opposite sides of store is there a reason there can be one of each on both sides?
The carts are way too high. I’m under 5 ft tall and it hurt to push that around.
To top it off prices are not anything to be excited about.
It will be a “oh forgot this or ran out of this and need it now” store for us.

The workers who work in produce department are the worse. Never going there again. Everything is just so bad
