FreshCo Red Deer

Went into the store Sunday Jan 29 and couldn’t believe how empty the meat dept was, while shopping 2 employees were walking around not sure who they were but think they were ordering but never said excuse me while cutting you off and then not even move while you could get done the aisle, also looked for a product that was in the flyer couldn’t find it so I had a young guy and he wasn’t sure said he would have to ask his manger I said yes please so he walked away me thinking he was going to go ask and he didn’t even bother, very poor service I know it’s a new store but definitely need more training and also know how to deal with customers

Quite disappointing. Everything that was pleasant and enjoyable about Safeway has been removed; everything that is unpleasant about big box stores has been added. At our office, located nearby, Safeway was a popular destination at break times. We often visited the deli, and our office birthday cakes came from the bakery. Our offices had 45 plants that came from the Safeway plant section. It's disappointing that Safeway has been replaced with FreshCo. What a dump.

This place is top tier, stocked in full, wide selection.
Ignore all these useless reviews comparing it to Safeway, it is by far a way better shopping experience.

Safeway in Port O' Call Mall Red Deer is a very nice store to shop. It's always super clean and disinfected. The staff have always been accomodating and friendly to me! There is also a Starbucks right inside Safeway. I think my favorite part about this store is their deli sandwiches. They make the sammies right in front of you, with whatever ingredient you want! And they have a little soup station if you want to buy a side to go with your sammy.

Was surprised hadnt been in a safewat in a long time but was impressed with some of the sales and nice store has everything

Always clean, great staff, and my go to place for Starbucks without a lineup. Love love love the onion buns! Thats a must pick up from this store.

Great, fresh veggie selection with beautiful display. My favorite is their glazed croissant donuts.

Always try to do some shopping here as I usually get 5 cents off / litre of gas at the on site gas station. The orher day I got 7 cents off

Made donuts for us instead of a wedding cake and I swear to Odin it was the best pastry to ever grace my taste buds

Good selection in the fruit department. Well organized. Centrally located. Excellent staff.

I went to pick up Canada Day cupcakes. The bakery staff were awesome as well as the tellers.

The employees here have always been friendly and as helpful as possible every time I shop here.

The staffing was too low. Waited too long. Staff need better support. Not fair to have them clearly under staffed.

I kicked myself for choosing to go and not to just get what I needed at the CO OP by our mome.

Covid protocols followed, staff are very helpful and friendly, both the produce & meat departments are fresh & well maintained. The only place in the area to buy bulk yellow potatoes.

Awesome place to get all your groceries in red deer if you coming to red deer. Great customer service.

It's a Safeway. It has good produce, selection for the dry goods and everything seems to be in date. I dunno.there isn't a lot to say. It's a Safeway.

The clerk's were very helpful and curtuious pretty good crew helping 10 people 5 minutes before close
