Frida's care is so refreshing and incredible.

Seeking mental healthcare should not be as exhausting as it is. I've been on and off waitlists for three years now, and after several disheartening experiences, I tried Frida — and I am so, so, so glad I did.

I was (finally) able to talk to a professional that I felt listened to and understood by. My nurse practitioner met me with empathy and compassion while helping me understand my symptoms and patterns more; I genuinely can't thank her enough for her kindness and professionalism.

I'd really recommend giving Frida a try; I'm sooo grateful I did!

Cannot give enough thanks to the staff at Frida, they have all been so helpful and wonderful and while I am only at the beginning of my journey with them they have made the path easy and clear cut.

This is such an amazing, thoughtful and humane service. I can't recommend them highly enough

Very knowledgeable staff, made me feel very informed and affirmed throughout all steps of the process - destigmatizing neurodivergence and making treatment accessible is a big fight, but folks like those at Frida are proof that it can be done

Working through my issues with the people at Frida has been a wonderful experience. Super respectful, understanding, and passionate are some of the words I'd describe the staff. Id choose them again 1000% if I had to start over!

I am so thankful for Frida. I wasn’t on the right meds with my family doctor. Early in my 20s I was told I couldn’t have ADHD, because I was able to go to post-secondary without medication. I was assumed to have anxiety and constantly asked if I was depressed and my symptoms weren’t taken seriously. I had to really advocate for myself to be put on any meds at all. There was no assessment or referral, and the dose I was on was far lower than the suggested dose.
Being a new mom, my symptoms really started to affect my qualify of life and when I heard about Frida through an online ad. After being assessed properly by an NP at Frida, it was officially confirmed that I do have ADHD and I was put on the right medication. It’s only been a few months, but this has been life changing. I feel like a switch has been turned on and I can actually function. I also appreciate their non-pharmacological care plan which also has been key, and their educated suggestions and advice to help cope with my ADHD symptoms. There was such a huge gap in the system for people like us, and Frida has made it possible to get specialized help and to be taken seriously.

Fabulous resource for folks with ADHD. I was diagnosed last year and am still receiving ongoing care. Every time I have reached out with a question, I have gotten a quick and helpful answer from a very helpful, empathetic, and supportive team. I could not recommend Frida enough.

I was one of Frida's first 100 patients, and trust me I felt a bit odd responding to an ad on social media, especially after being in the medical field myself for 20+ years. After having physicians suggest my concerns were anxiety related, or maybe "you should go burn off some energy at the gym" (which, I already go to on top of a physical career and chasing 3 kids around), I found Frida. I realized that I possibly had ADHD after my daughter was diagnosed via Psych Ed assessments and I realized that the apple fell right off this tree. Like many women, I flew under the radar my whole life and completed post secondary school in hard mode. Too frequently, physicians dismiss concerns of women (yet my partner can walk into the same doctor, say "I think I have ADHD" and get help immediately) however, Frida listened, took into account that I have developed strategies my entire life to cope, and frankly living life around multiple strategies was starting to exhaust me. The staff at Frida provided options, checked in regularly, and let me continually assess how I felt as we trialed medication dosages. Once things leveled out, quarterly check ins were set up to reassess how things were progressing. Since then I have made a career change that enables me to take my medication on a more regular schedule which has made an even bigger difference in symptoms. Honestly if you are getting no where with your physician, reach out to Frida.

Each person I have spoken to at Frida has been very nice and they were able to schedule my initial appointment much quicker than other options. The price was also much less (although I believe it has gone up dramatically in the last year.)

That said, the organization seems to have been going through lots of growing pains. I have had multiple errors with the passing of information between their staff or through their systems. Specifically, I have had my prescription not sent out twice and have had appointments cancelled for no apparent reason and rescheduled to times I can't do.

The customer service staff through the app, while polite and professional, never seem to fully take responsibility for errors on Frida's end and lay blame on clients, pharmacies, "technology", basically anyone but themselves. Overall it's a disappointing and frustrating experience and I honestly don't know how much I trust any of the information or results I have gotten from them because it doesn't really feel like they are paying attention or know who I am.

I've been with Frida for almost a year and I would honestly rather pay more for a service that works better. If you can afford it, you may want to look elsewhere.

Frida took the time and diligence with my rather complex medical chart to make sure that solutions provided to me were safe and compassionate.the process was a little longer than average (no fault of Frida's; communicating with my GP took time from the GP's side) but it ensured that the next steps were appropriate for my particular circumstances.
Overall the process was simple, efficient, respectful and compassionate

The assessment portion was lovely. The issue I had was when I clearly told my practitioner that I have a lot of anxiety around my heart, that my family has history of heart failure and I often have panic attacks when I have chest pains. I told them I was very wary of medication because I was concerned about my heart. I told them that I had my heart checked 5 years ago but since then have gained over 30lbs and had two pregnancies, births and years of sleepless nights. I was ASSURED that the worst side effect was simply heighten heart rate and I could monitor my blood pressure to be sure. I explicitly spoke about how relieved I was that those were the only side effects and said sure I’d try the medication. Upon receiving the medication there is a whole section about sudden death, stroke and heart attacks. So now I’m having panic attacks all day and night and I’m never sure if it’s a heart attack or a panic attack since I am taking a medication that could cause heart attack.

I will be going to my doctor to talk about alternatives and truly work out a medication plan that takes my mental and physical health into account. I would not recommend paying for this service that could be accessed free though public health care.

Frida is wonderful.

I've been going through the public process to get diagnosed/treated for ADHD for almost two years. It's been a frustrating and emotional experience to say the least.

Two weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and book with Frida. I already have a diagnosis and medication and I've never felt better. The initial price tag of a private option was scary but after seeing all of the positive reviews I had to try. Glad I did!

If you want positive results from someone who cares this is a great option for you. Normally GP's and Psychiatrists give you the bare minimum amount of time. In my experience about 10 minutes. Frida gave me 75 minutes for an initial consult and I got a prescription the same day. I felt heard. I also recieved continuous care while we work on the appropriate dosage of medication.

10/10

This service is such a breath of fresh air. For someone who has fought to get her diagnoses through ohip for a year, this service saved me from giving up. Saved me from suffering undiagnosed even longer than I already have. Highly recommend

Scheduling seems to be their back office struggle. In order for me to stay organized I used a calendar to time block my entire life. Am I obsessive over this? Yes… but I was very hopeful FRIDA would be able to help me cope more productively. After filling out the online questionnaire, I was referred to have a 1: 1 consultation with a clinician. I scheduled that appointment and ensured I have time blocked before, during and a slight block after the call in case it ran late. FRIDA then rescheduled my appointment. I made arrangements to accommodate the next booked appointment and at the time of appointment - no one called me. I reached out to FRIDA 20 minutes into my scheduled appointment time, and shortly afterwards the clinician called me. I answered all of her questions with the exception of specific questions about my childhood. I’m 44… I don’t remember the details so it was suggested that I have a parent complete the assessment and we will book another 20 minute call. I blocked time time for the call and again - 15 minutes into the scheduled appointment I had not been contacted. I again messaged FRIDA and the clinician finally called me. As the scheduled time was now over I didn’t have time to speak as I had another appointment to get to. We rescheduled to another date. The day before my appointment - I was sent an appointment modification. My appointment was cancelled and moved to a date and time that did not work for me. At this point I’d had enough. I requested a refund and they graciously understood and applied the refund.

I can’t speak to the quality of the advice, but I can’t say anything positive about patient care.

This experience couldn't have gone any better, all my questions were answered. The clinician specifically was so friendly and helpful, and made it such a great experience!

Very quick for an appointment. The nurse practitioner I spoke to was great, a little slow, but my brain just works faster so he was probably normal speed. The cost was reasonable especially since the cost at other places was $2.5k. Leroy explained everything very well and the directions have all been very clear. The website is very helpful and organized. Got my prescription filled within 32 hours!

I've always had issues with motivation, focus, and mood regulation throughout my life, and I thought this was what normal is. It wasn't until I came across a random adhd online screening that I began to have doubts. Even if I did want to get assessed, I'd be waiting for months to a year to get an assessment under OHIP and I couldn't afford the costs of a private clinic. So I sought after alternative means and that's where I saw Talk with Frida. Their services are quick yet comprehensive. The staff who screen you are very competent and experienced with assessing ADD/ADHD. After receiving the treatment plan, I now happily admit that I feel as though I'm finally feeling what normal should've been. Thanks Frida!

An incredibly kind and compassionate team that provides service beyond excellence! I am immensely grateful as they have truly changed my life and given me so much hope. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I’m one of the fortunate few to have a GP in BC, so I assumed getting a referral and assessed for ADD/ADHD would be relatively simple. However, after being told I faced an almost year long wait for an assessment and would be required to pay several thousand dollars for this, I gave up hope. I resigned myself to the fact that I would have to deal with whatever hand I had been dealt. Thankfully, I stumbled across Frida on Instagram. Less than 48 hours later I had completed a virtual assessment in the privacy of my own home and had been prescribed medication to help manage my symptoms, all at a fraction of the cost of what I would have been facing had I relied on the broken system that exists here in BC. I cannot speak highly enough of the Frida team and there prompt, professional service. If you’re looking for support, you can do no better.

I was amazed by my experience with Frida! As someone who has been struggling with inattentiveness since childhood, I always thought it would be a long and complex process to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. But Frida completely changed all of that! In just a few days, they were able to provide me an ADHD diagnosis and create an actionable plan for me to manage my symptoms.

The staff at Frida were so friendly – they made me feel like part of the family throughout the whole experience. It was clear how knowledgeable they were and their expertise helped to guide me step by step. I'm now feeling empowered in my ability to tackle my ADHD, thanks to the care of their team.

It's an absolute relief that a service like Frida exists – one that make it convenient, quick, and affordable to receive a proper diagnosis for ADHD. If you're looking for a complete solution for managing your symptoms, I wouldn't hesitate before giving them a try - you won't be disappointed.

I used Frida to get my ADHD diagnosis and it was an incredibly smooth process. I am so grateful for the team and their on going support!

Lovely experience. They cancelled my first appt right before it happened which was disappointing but they rebooked me immediately for two days later and when I asked if there was anything sooner they were able to get me an appt the next day.
Had my chat with the clinician which was great and informative on their process. They were able to get me started on treatment the same day, as well as provided more information on alternative management.
If nothing else it was worth the validation of what I had been feeling and I was able to start working towards a solution without waiting months.

A genuinely wonderful service that assisted me with getting my medication and diagnosis. The attendant during the diagnosis session was incredibly patient while I was answering the questions, and did not push when I became audibly uncomfortable.

Frida connected me with a professional from my area in BC through their platform. For my initial assessment I spoke to a very kind and professional nurse practitioner named Darlene Pierce. They were through, genuinely concerned for my well being, and most importantly quick! I had a prescription within a day or two and I have not looked back. There is also follow up appointments each month for whatever specialists suits your needs. This service is very affordable. Considering the price of an initial assessment at other private clinics you wont be paying thousands of dollars to get one with this firm. A service this good gives weight to the idea of a semi-private national healthcare model. Thank you Frida.
