Recently had Aaron Hamilton check out our furnace and quickly found and corrected a problem. I would recommend Furnace Family anytime especially with this service individual.

2017 is the year, I regret ever getting this company to install our new Goodman furnace, I had to go over most of what they did, since then I have discovered, at cold temperatures it shuts down, why? Because the air intake on our house chimneyp plugs up with frost, thus shutting down the fur nace.i just spent time, -50 below crawling on my roof, unplugging the air vent with my wire brush, and hair dryer, then it starts working again, it's a common occurrence, and I am 74 years old. Do I recommend this company, NO, and when you need help from this company, forget it, they are not there, basically they take advantage of people, especially seniors with thier high pressure sales tactics, and as far as thier work practices, not the greatest, and I am not a furnace guy, but working in construction since I was 17, I know what is the right way do do things, and what is expected from companies to do quality work, when you have to have a company to come and do things they were suppose to do in the first place, and hide thier screwups, hoping you don t see them, but I discover them, eg.hooking up the fresh air from outside vent, just cut a hole in my ductwork, and shoved it in with loose Fibre insulation in my vent, great for breathing in your lungs, NO! Eg.taking a piece of galvanised metal and siliconing it to my chimney cap, hoping I wouldn, t see it, I then drew them a diagram of the right way to fab one, I am a Mason since 1969, I know what is the proper way, actually I don, t even want this company to darken my door, or even let them in my house, and the person that did the final inspection, passed thier shoddy work, you believe that, I have a friend that will fix it all for me, when he has the time, and he knows what he is doing, end of story.

They were absolutely great, very professional Best company I have found in Edmonton so far! They will not rip you off, prices are decent as well.

Very happy with Furnace Family! They were professional from start to finish and from what I could tell the work performed was exemplary. When I asked for an extra task to be done, they were up front with costs and effort and no surprises at invoice time. I like their appointment reminder service and how easy it was to pay the invoice. Had to call technician to fix my furnace today because my motor Seized. The gentleman that came to do the job was excellent. He was fast communicated with me. The entire time made me feel comfortable perfect place to go if you have problems with your furnace.

Today I had James come to my place to trouble shoot why I had no power to my main breaker panel. He came at very short notice and saved my entire week. Furnace Family has come through every time I used them and I cannot think of a single thing that they could improve on from the initial call to the final service!

We had a great experience with Furnace Family. Not only do they come within the window of time you are scheduled for, they also give a warning text when your technician is on their way. We got a new water heater put in by technician Kevin Polgar. Kevin was professional, yet easy to engage with. He did the job quickly, yet thoroughly. Very efficient and streamlined process. I feel confident in our new water heater. Would definitely recommend to others.

When my 24 year old furnace died this month I called a few companies for quotes. After a visit from Wayne from Furnace Family in Calgary, we knew we had found the right company. He was very friendly, low pressure and knowledgeable, and the price was great. Kevin and Matthew came out to do the installation of the furnace, a new humidifier and a new smart thermostat. They were careful to lay out (actual) red carpets from the front door to the furnace to protect the flooring, and after the install my furnace room floor was cleaner than when they started. Kevin went over how the new thermostat worked and answered any questions I had. The job went much quicker than I expected and they give Airmiles, which was a bonus for me. I would definitely recommend Furnace Family!

Furnace Family is great! I’m a homeowner and landlord with three properties and have had an inordinate amount of experience having furnaces and water tanks installed over the past year. I’ve used Reliance and Romaniuk but my best experience by far has been with Furnace Family. The service is knowledgable and helpful and they also have the best prices.

I actually came across them trying to get a straight answer on something I couldn’t get from another company and the lady on the line was night and day helpful in comparison, so I decided to go with Furnace Family even though it meant waiting another two weeks to replace an already leaking water tank. Worth the wait, though. Kevin, who came and did the install was just as helpful and approachable. Very pleased, which is not something I thought I’d ever say about a plumbing installation!

I do wish furnace companies, including Furnace Family, could provide customers more guidance and options in terms of navigating upgrades and replacements that are energy efficient and climate ready. It can be challenging to navigate the options and grants and expert advice and options would make a big difference.

I had called Furnace Family to replace my old furnace with a new Daikin furnace 2 weeks ago.
Technicians Richard and Yanick arrived on time and were very polite and efficient with their work. I also requested to remove my old air conditioner from my back yard, and they did a very clean removal.
After their work was done, Richard walked through with me about their work and explained in a easy to understand manner how the furnace works. I am very happy over all with Richard and Yanick’s job.
I already am already able to feel the results of the newly installed furnace, these couple of days was quite cold but my house is now significantly much warmer than use to be.
I definitely recommend Furnace Family for anyone planning to have a new furnace installed.

Just had Richard and Jordan finish installing a new Lennnox furnace and new hot water tank. They called me at 8am to let me know they were coming and were here within a half hour. They we both friendly and went to work right away. Finished both installations early and Richard explained everything I would need to know about the furnace and hot water tank. Our experience with The Furnace Family was excellent from beginning to end. We were referred to them by some friends. Jamie, who came out to give us a quote, was very thorough, easy to understand and personable. Richard and Jordan did a fantastic and professional job installing the equipment, and, Matt, the electrician, was in and out very quickly. Ashley in the office has been a huge help all the way through in coordinating the appointments and any questions we had.

The technician was able to identify the problem and get it fixed quickly. He was very friendly. This is the second time I used Furnace Family. The first time was for checking out my AC problem. I was also happy with their service last time. I will recommend Furnace Family.

Very good communication. Without needing to be asked, they checked if my furnace had extended warranty to cover the repair. They were able to get the necessary part that same day and have us up a running.

We have had great experiences in the past with Furnace Family with the purchase and installation of our furnace. But when our 3 year old furnace quit working after dinner we called the emergency line to schedule service, however they were unresponsive that night and had still not contacted us by the next day. We ended up contacting another company that answered the phone.

Costco put me in touch with The Furnace Family for an air conditioner install. They reached out to me promptly, and was the best of the quotes I received by far.

When it came time for the install, Keagan, Drew and Matt were courteous and professional.

I am very happy with the service I received, and I look forward to working with The Furnace Family again.

I needed to have custom work done so that I could complete my basement. Namely, new air intakes, a custom bulkhead, new air lines and a tap in to my HRV for my new bathroom. The first attempt at the work was very badly done. I immediately contacted furnace family. They didn’t hesitate to have someone come out and look. They completely understood my complaints and told me they would not leave me unhappy. They agreed to send someone out to fix. That did happen. The work done the second time was AMAZING. I am beyond happy with the end result. Please give Tylor a pat on the back and tell him how happy I am with his work. My final review…
Cons:
- seemed like the company is disorganized. Not sure if they are short crewed right now and extremely busy or it is just disorganization. Did have them reschedule multiple times.
- communication between employees doesn’t seem to be there. What’s more, some employees communicate with me very well while others seemed to kind of ghost me (could be due to how busy they are)
- the first installers workmanship was very poor.

Pros:
- everyone I talked with was extremely friendly. Very personable and professional.
- regardless of my complaints on the first install all employees worked their butt off. A hard sweaty job to be sure.
- the end installer seemed very skilled and the end workmanship was fantastic.
- the company overall worked very very hard at making sure I was happy in the end and I am.

I would HIGHLY recommend Furnace Family. Their staff at every level were helpful and professional. They went the extra-mile timewise and in the quality of the work. Also, my new furnace is so quiet that if my house wasn't currently toast warm, I'd seriously question if it was even there.

Their customer service is next to none! I know bc I called multiple companies to get my furnace fixed! I had a heat plan with a “reputable” company -they came fixed some parts and then said the furnace needed to be replaced! We called Family Furnace they came within an hour and the technician had a gut feeling something was off and easily could have sold us a new furnace! Instead he asked if he could call his best technician in for a second opinion and he was at our house in the next hour-took some time to check it out and found that the part that was just replaced was not plugged in properly!
Family furnace saved over over 6000! Not only was their furnace quote at half the price of their competition, but they took the time to explain the situation and he said I don’t want to have to sell you a furnace when you have a very good furnace! We just need to figure out why it’s not working!

I recently had a water softening system installed. I am very pleased with the product and installation was done with expertise by Kevin Polgar. He was very efficient, courteous and informative. Excellent service!

Instalation crew arrived as they were pre scheduled, and on time.
I showed them in, they looked around to see where to install equipment.
Then they brought in flooring protectors and began bringing equipment in. One installer worked in the basement, while another worked outside. They got the units installed during the day. They will come back in the spring to set up air unit, due to the current cold weather.
The electricians came shortly after, to get the wiring done. The moved our thermostat to a better location and did the wiring and cleaned up all mess. This job was very well done.

My husband and I interviewed several companies after we discovered we needed to replace our furnace. We'd also been thinking about getting air conditioning so decided to look for a company that could do both.
We chose Furnace Family because from the first meeting and quote from Ross we felt confident we received a fair quote and excellent information and recommendations. Plus Ross lived up to this company's customer service promises and left us with no question we'd be well looked after with this company.
Drew and Keegan were our installers and they were on time, personable and highly skilled and professional. When they were done, they showed us their excellent work and left our furnace area clean and tidy. We'd decided to also get an air conditioning unit and this was perfectly installed too.

Despite the crazy supply and demand issues that we are now facing still because of Covid, I was updated with the actual install date when the product became available. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the estimator Ross Junck, who initially who came out to look at my AC install. I believe I got a very competitive price and high-quality product with the logistics explained very well. At the install, Michael Eberhardt and Bryce Mayer, the two AC tech who installed my system, were very considerate, professional and knew exactly what they were doing. They even helped transplant some heirloom flowers, and move things in my garage I didn’t do. I am happy to 100% recommend them as a safe, family-friendly option for your heating and AC needs.

The furnace installed our air conditioner unit. The service was exceptional. We were pleased from the quote to the install. Excellent all around. We would recommend the company for all heating and cooling services.

The installation team that came to my home were awesome! They went above and beyond what was expected of them. I had a small shrub in the way of the AC unit and not only did they cut down the plant, but realized that I would have a very difficult time digging up the roots after the unit was installed so they grabbed a shovel and looked after it.

The outside taps were leaking and needed repair. Kevin Polgar came by and took both taps apart and replaced a vacuum breaker on one and cleaned and lubricated the other tap. He took the time to explain what he had done to stop the leaking.

Yesterday we found ourselves with a leaking hot water heater. It was around 3 in the afternoon, my husband tried to shut the water off to the tank but was unable to. After several calls I spoke with a lady at Furnace Family Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing, I explained our situation and she made arrangements for a new hot water tank to be installed the following day at 1pm. But more importantly she send one of there service men over to turn the water off to the tank.
That was definitely going above and beyond and we were so grateful.
A huge thank you to whoever answered the phone (sorry I cannot remember your name) to Chris Sedo who came that day to help us stop the water from running all over our floor and to Julians and Daniil for their courteous, efficient and clean job at removing the old tank and installing the new one.

Water leak in lower bathroom below mirror. Kevin investigated in upstairs bathroom under sink, cut hole in wall, found the tiny crack in copper pipe, repaired pipe under extremely difficult circumstances due to tight space & hard to reach area. He was fast, efficient, pleasant & professional. We could not have had a better technician. We will certainly use Furnace Family again & will want Kevin Polgar as our plumber. Absolutely excellent service & the price was right as well!

Have been holding back the review since 8th July after AC installation for the reason that the contractor didn't provide compressor cover after the installation when I asked for it. The worker said they ran out of stock for the cover and will be deliver later. However, they never did despite couple of follow up calls since the then. Unfortunately, until today in September month where AC has shut down for coming fall and winter yet no reply from the company.
I could have avoided the hazard if I ever have looking for alternatives instead relied on Costco reputation. I didn't think twice after booked online with Costco for AC installation services. Then, the company called. I had waited for one week after the call for the estimator to arrived on the June 21st and waited another 3 weeks later on the 8th of July for installation. I thought the waiting was worth while because of Costco. Although, this is third party supplier mentioned by Costco website but I would expect Costco has scrutinize the suppliers or business partners.
I never expected beside paying higher price with longer waiting period but still facing the hazard after months.

Chris inspected our furnace and was very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue in no time and provided thorough explanations of the problem and laid out our options for repair honestly and transparently.
We appreciate Furnace Family for their expertise, straightforward problem solving, and honesty in what is actually needed vs what other companies would try to sell the customer.

We had an issue with a leaking hot water tank that was almost 16 years old. While checking the internet for companies to do the work for me I saw the reviews for Furnace Family Heating and Air Conditioning and decided to give them a try. An appointment was set up and two gentlemen showed up to complete the work. They were very courteous, explained what they would be doing and then went about the job quite efficiently. We were extremely happy with the work done and that no mess was left behind. Thanks very much for a job well done and we would certainly highly recommend the company for any repairs or replacements you need to do.

Came within 24 hours for a ac leak. Repair person was very knowledgeable and went through every fine detail. He was open and honest. All in all it was around 600$ for total repair so I don't know if the pricing is fair because I didn't compare but for the service I received I didn't care anyway.

Furnace family installed a brand new Lennox Furnace in my home through the " Feel the love " program! They are an amazing company, very reliable and professional, just a great bunch of people that also do a lot of good work for the community and people in need! We ordered an AC unit to be installed by The Furnace Family and they cancelled our installation 2 days prior to the scheduled date. We were extremely disappointed because we had waited 3 weeks to have this installed and it was scheduled before the heat wave in Edmonton. We have a newborn baby and it was difficult to keep her cool during this time. This company is unreliable.

Furnace Family installed our furnace in June. They far exceeded my expectations for this service. Their administrative staff are extremely well organized and communicated each step with me along the way. The technicians that installed our furnace (we had Tyler and Josh do the install) were exceptional. They are both friendly and polite and their work was impeccable. They even fixed a line coming out of our hot water tank that wasn't part of the job - just because Tyler saw it was not up to code. I noticed moisture on an exterior basement wall directly under our kitchen but could not find a leak. Kevin from Furnace Family came out exactly when the office promised he would and quickly located the problem. He kept me informed throughout the process and carefully explained the improvements he had made to the jumble of pipes under the sink of our old kitchen. He was quite thorough as he searched for the leak and spent some time afterwards ensuring it was fixed. I felt he would be justified to charge me for two hours, but he only charged me for one, the time he was actually working on the pipes, plus parts. Very reasonable. I have already recommended Furnace Family to my daughter and neighbours.

Highly recommend - I've had Furnace Family come in to do furnace maintenance several times and they're always knowledgeable and won't try to sell you expensive fixes you don't need.
