I am a regular and I always come for consistent tasting sushi. The food is obviously not better than kinjo or sushi&kitchen but it still doesn't disappoint or leave you unhappy. Service is great even if it is a busy weekend.
We’ve been to this buffet a lot! Friendly fast service as well the great food! Very nice staffs & amazing cinerary near their windows. Fair price for both lunch and diner, just too busy sometimes, we have to wait for a seat in queues, a good restaurant is always like that. Jeff Ron Davison
Feel like I got scammed. Sunday lunch menu that cost $28.95 and I was charged for dinner menu of $40 without any headsup? Let alone can’t even order dinner menu before 3pm, we were there when it was just opening. Refund my money back scammers. Didn’t even tell us we were gonna pay dinner pricing of course thinking we’re there only for lunch. Cons.
Service was pretty good although they were busy even before 12 noon so that was good. Food was standard for ayce. Problem I had was the false advertising of price on their website. Also now that I have gotten used to the ipad ordering at the Ranchlands location the old ordering method of pencil to paper here seems archaic.
If you are eating with more than 5 people, don't go to this place. Servers just put plates on the table without even asking who ordered this or that. One server also seemed to be annoyed whenever we ask her the name of each dish she's putting on our table. Food tastes okay. Portioning is fine. You might wanna find better restaurant or go to another branch for better experience.
It was ok sushi for the price. Service was fairly slow. And the quality of the sushi, although better than a supermarket, was lackluster. It was missing a lot of the complexity and finesse of other sushi restaurants. It was cheaper than other places, but that is mostly what it has going for it.
Was really sick after visiting this location this afternoon. We ordered the all you can eat lunch. Not only did I find a hair in my pad thai, my stomach has also been very upset. I love the ranchlands location thought we'd try this one. Will not be back.
Good sushi, but the service is very slow. The last time I waited 1.5 hours for the whole order, and even then not everything was prepared.sleep on the go.
I would 4.5 is it was possible as there are always a few missed things and the odd longer than normal wait time. However the sushi here has in my experience always been fantastic. I'm personally a huge fan of their baked mussels! They have almost always been curtious with perhaps one rare exception where a waitress was having an off day. I have been to both north locations and myself family and friends have been pleased with the service. We will be back many times to come!
Was so disappointed by the food and price. Please know that you will receive not what you actually ordered in the menu and the price also way up like you see on the picture. We paid over $30 per adult and $19 for child as prices now have changed! Will definitely not recommend to my friends. Also the restaurant had no fresh air at it was all smoky from barbecue and we smell not good when left this restaurant.
First time there and probably won’t be back. Service was ok. Food was meh. I’ve had better. They have no sashimi which is a disappointment. Also no tablet ordering. A lot of sauce on things, which makes a lot of it too salty. There is such a thing as too much teriyaki sauce. The teriyaki beef was tough.
TERRIBLE! The service was horrible. They ignored us and took so long. The food was disgusting. The fish wasn't fresh and the miso soup smelled so bad, and it tasted very fishy and old. I gave it back. The fish used in the sushi and sashimi was so thin and warm, very potent fish smell.very unappetizing. The sushi was just awful and the staff was rude. I will never come back and would never recommend it to anyone.
All you can eat Sushi done well! Rolls are smaller so you can try more things, not overloaded with rice to fill you up. The special rolls are fantastic! The spicy mayo is delicious. Try everything!
Family goes all the time! It’s always a hit or miss though, some days everything is fresh, hot and delicious! Some days you get overcooked meat, cold food, or slow service. We still go because it’s a nice way for everyone to get what they want at a reasonable price. Think they might have increased their pricing though, so as my fam would say make sure you’re ‘eating your worth’ haha!
Would probably give a higher rating if the service will be better. All you can eat meals comes one at a time and no one is actually looking if all your orders are served already.
Came for the all you can eat! It was really good, however service was incredibly slow. We wanted to order more food but had to wait about 20 minutes for a server to come to our table and take our slip of paper with the order on it
Wouldn’t take reservations. Half hour wait to get in no big deal. Service is fast because they want you in and out (understandably) with an all you can eat. Food came fast. Service was ok had to ask 3 times to get an orange juice. The food was meh, some things tasted fresh others were not, for example the tempura shrimp was not fresh and kinda soggy while the vegetable tempura was very fresh. The plain white rice we ordered was not fresh, sushi was ok. Food was just “OK” 6/10.
Food is really good. Better than other local locations. Ipad ordering would make things easier. Never had a problem with service. Would recommend:
New update: Had my first terrible experience here. Our first order came out and it was fantastic. Tempera veggies and shrimp. Was great. Put in our second order and it took over an hour for it all to come out after having to ask 3 different people about our order. Quality off food after the tempera was subpar. Ill go back purely due to my history of great food, but I can no longer say that it's always great.
Decent all you can eat - the food was pretty good and there's a great variety here, even if you don't like sushi. Service was a bit slow, but it was really busy, so that was understandable. The only thing I'd change is having the all you can eat menu at the table again. Currently it's available by qr code, and if you lose it, you may end up ordering the wrong items, like we did. Oops.
My favourite sushi restaurant hands down. I love the all-you-can-eat style - the small portions allow you to try more items. Fast service and I've never had a bad meal there
Is all I have to say. The rolls were small and rolled horribly, plating was very undesirable as if a 5 year old rolled them and slapped them on a plate and poured sour mayo on them. Everything I ate had ither a sour, fishy or bitter taste or slimy/soggy texture and far from fresh.
I have come to accept the fact that I maybe waking up at 1am to rush to the bathroom with a double ended eruption and will remain face deep in the ol toilet till morning.
Isn't this a franchise? !? Nothing was like fusion sushi on 17th Ave (WHICH I ABSOLUTELY LOVE), all the menu was the same, but when it got to my table everything was so so so so soooooo different and disappointing.do not eat here, if you want a fusion sushi experience, go to the one on 17th
Update: We decided to give them ONE LAST CHANCE and order again tonight. And it was SPECTACULAR! No sauces forgotten, rolls made with care, sauce put on properly and they even accommodated my request for crispy tempura bits on the side. VERY HAPPY with our dinner!
Past review: Im VERY DISAPPOINTED with my order. We didn’t get ANY ginger, OR wasabi, OR soy sauce. Might seem minor but that’s where ALL the flavour is. I can’t eat ANY of my $55 order without wasabi, soy sauce and ginger. And I don’t have ANY of those items in my fridge. SUPER FRUSTRATING and a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY
Staff is reserved, i have not had any bad experiences when I eat in here. Occasionally they will forget a few items but this happens at all locations. So i am just patient and ask about it if i am still hungry. Location is usually busy.
Food is good but I noticed the menu is a little different than the Ranchlands location. Regardless it’s a great sushi place and accessible. Parking can be tough at times. We always go for work prior to CoViD
