Pros: no wait time, seen immediately for prebooked appointment.accommodating and nice receptionists
cons: horribly rude and rushed doctor.completely unhelpful

those poor receptionists.did everything to accommodate me, booked me a few days before and when I arrived for my appointment I was seen into a room immediately.was feeling optimistic by this office but the doctor changed that.extremely rushed and rude, we talked for maybe 30 seconds before he left.couldn't be bothered to talk to me, pull up a file etc.if you need a quick refill or something this place is fine, but if you want your story heard or to be respected go anywhere else.

The worst doctor in the city hands down. Give 0 F@$# about any of his patients. If you have any real medical questions, he will not know the awnsers, basic diabetic questions made him angry and storm out of the room. If you could give Negative stars he would be a -5️. I have had little success finding a new GP in this city.

We had a great experience here today with the walk in clinic! Dr Fathi was amazing and we were in and out super quick.

Looking for a family Dr.
Dr. Shamaka had zero interest. Is this his main gig, because he openly acted like he wanted to be somewhere else the whole time. Good news Dr, I won't be bothering you again with my medical problems
ETA forgot the best part: I had to ask him his name and he was halfway out the door to leave.

My three year old had glass stuck in his foot, and the doctor said he would have to be sedated, refusing to even comfort my son and help ease him into removing the glass. The doctor seemed frustrated with him, sighed, and said my son did not have the capacity to understand. Then my son literally said “doctor, there is glass in my foot. ” Clearly didn’t want to deal with it and just wanted to pass us along so he could go home. We ended up in ER.

Dr. Shamaka is cold, lacks compassion, shows up late, refused to offer any treatment options for my condition and has a condescending tone. I feel like I have to speak quickly to get my point across before he interrupts. He does not actively listen to patients.

I removed myself from his list of patients after 2 visits and will be looking for someone who actually cares about their patients.

Absolutely horrible new managment in the pharmacy. Avoid at all costs. They will scream your prescription out loud for everyone to hear and are rude. The old management was so much better. Avoid at all costs.

The clinic is clean, and the receptionists are nice, but after seeing the doctor for a swollen throat I'd had for five weeks, he did a throat swab, and didn't follow up with me because the swab was negative for strep throat? Ridiculous, didn't listen to my concerns at all, will never go back. Should have medical license stripped, I'm a better doctor.

I have visited this clinic many times. Doctor Shamaka Mossab treated me really well, nice and was professional. I recommend this clinic

This is the worst clinic I have ever been to the doctor who's working there he's not even a doctor also their staff is not professional I went there with my dad who needs urgent help he's disabled but the doctor doesn't give any attention to his condition and just makes us more confused he talked to us for around 2 minutes or less.right now we are planning to go somewhere else first when I read the review we ignore it and I thought it is a better place to go but I was wrong 1000000000000% I'm not sure why this kind of clinic still exists in Edmonton I'm so disappointed right now coz time is money I didn't go my job today because of this useless clinic you better stay away from this clinic

I went to this clinic to support a client in an appointment with Dr Mossab Shamaka on February 14,2023 to ask for an assessment and referral to nose specialist and he wasn`t able to listen to our concerns and questions, and was unable to accommodate my client`s emotional needs. He didn`t give us a chance to talk, was rude, invalidate her feelings and not empathetic. As a health care professional I feel ashamed to have a colleague like him.

First time I have ever walked out in a Doctors appointment.
Walk ins taken and treated before boomed appointments for no reason. Sat for an hour past my appointment time before I gave up and left (no choice had kiddos to pick up which they knew when I booked and expressed concern that I wouldn’t be treated in time.

I give this clinic one star but it's nothing to do with the excellent front of house stuff. I was expecting Dr shamaka to be just as caring and professional - but this is the first time that I've ever walked out on a doctor. My life is at risk due to his unprofessionalism - this was no regular visit.

I've been waiting to get a family doctor for months, and today was my first visit with him. He was meant to explain the results of an urgent CT scan with me. I'm a kind and professional person, but there's a certain level of misogyny and undue anger that I absolutely won't put up with and I certainly hope that he doesn't treat other patients the way he treated me in the midst of this crisis. His general demeanor, his line of questioning and his constant stream of insults that come out of nowhere are reprehensible at best.

We all go through struggles, but many of us are above taking them out on other people - particularly patients. In order to continue his practice I would suggest that he attend mandatory ethics and person to person training. A medical degree is not a license to be abusive and egoistic. Quite the opposite, actually.

Dr. Shamaka dosen't care about mental health. Please avoid seeing him if you are looking for support.

Went in to se Dr Mossab today to get a referral to a nose and throat specialist and he insisted it wasn’t necessary and rushed me out while refusing to answer the questions I had for him. He ended up prescribing me some mouthwash for a sore throat which wasn’t the reason I came in. Total waste of time, he doesn’t care about the patients at all.

Putting a plaque on the wall does not make you a good doctor. Try listening to your patients. Next time you send someone for an injection you should make sure it is in the right part of there body. Your time is not more valuable than anyone else. Should be reported

Dr mossab shamaka has been by far the best dr I have had. He’s understanding and makes me feel like a dr should. The doctors I had in the past were not listening to me as a patient making me feel like I don’t know anything when I know what’s wrong with me. He actually listens, etc. I even like there’s a pharmacy right inside the dr office. If I ever have to move again I am keeping him as a doctor until he retires which will be a long time. It is very hard to find a doctor that understands and listens etc

I have had nothing but issue after issue with this clinic. Missing prescriptions. Having to go in multiple times to get the same prescriptions for the same month sent to my pharmacist; just to be told in the end that they would not fax them anymore and that I would have to physically take them to my pharmacist. I have limited mobility, use a walker and don't drive; this has severely inconvenienced me and now is going to cost me money to take cabs to get my medication. There is also long wait times even with scheduled appointments.

I was upset and crying because of this. I simply wanted to have my perceptions correctly sent to the right pharmacy. The doctor was not empathetic and because I was clearly upset he has decided he will not see me as a patient anymore which is forcing me to now travel further to see another doctor.

I almost never post reviews but since this is affecting my quality of life and causing me financial strain; I felt the need to share. I am extremely disheartened by this incident.

Front desk staff is pleasant.

I had such an awful experience. I had seen him few times when I couldn't get in with my Dr and he seemed OK. So when. I wound up losing my Dr while having major mental health issues (impacted my perimenpause). He gave me a week off no other directions. I asked about my medical canabais and he said not to stop taking it. When I went back to see him the following week and asked to stay off till I saw the woman's clinic Ina month, he refused, he gave me one more week off and told me he refused to give me more time off. He wouldnt even tell me why, he just kept syaing thay is to long. He made me feel so small and awful, I left his office crying and hysterical.

I sought a second opinion from a Drcoleauge at my Dr's office. They had no problem writing me off for a month. Thank goodness they did I continued to struggle greatly and could not have worked.also after see knowing i had a full month off i tried lowering my canabis use and it made such a difference.

I am so glad I found a new family Dr that listens to me. I would never go back to this office.

If you are looking for a medical doctor look elsewhere. Turnstile healthcare with no caring about patients health. Will call you in and then ask "why are you here? "

I would rate zero stars if I could. Dr. Shamaka should NOT have a license. I have epilepsy & cannot maintain eye contact. Because I couldn't look him in the eyes, he implied I didn't want to be there, didn't care for what he had to say & flat out REFUSED to speak to me about my concerns. He sent me home? He is rude & acts very gross towards his "clients". I asked him if I could bring up a list of symptoms I made on my phone & he said YES. When I scrolled my notes app for the symptoms, he told me to "get off my phone or get out of his office. It's rude. " WHAT? ! Unless you want a doctor who graduated from the Sesame Street Program & got his license from a cereal box, DO NOT GO TO HIM. He doesn't listen, he rushes you (I can't be in a room longer than 9 minutes?) & he's verbally abusive.

Wow I am beyond shocked. Your receptionist Demi is vile. How dare she make coments on the quality of my wifes tattoo artwork. YOU ARE A RECEPTIONIST. I am unsure why you feel you needed to do that.
You are paid to work and represent the company you work for. You need to be reigned in. If you worked for me I would have terminated you. When patients/clients come in they need security and rassurance. You did neither for my wife. We will not be using your services agan.

The clinic per se was clean and sound, and the receptionist was considerate; I would have given them a 5-star, but I removed 4 stars because of Dr. Mossab Shamaka. He was like a robot, so in a rush, so not caring! He didn't even let my sentences finish before he started talking and prescribing! He even interrupted me by raising his voice (almost yelling) at me when I was explaining my symptoms at the very beginning of the session! At the end of the session, I asked for Massage therapy, but he gave me a prescription for Physiotherapy and ran out! I had to wait for him to finish with other patients to change the prescription! I will update my review if I ever go back there and have a better experience!

Like any Establishment, Treat them with respect and be courteous you'll have no issues with this Medical Center.
If people have issues, they often forget how they were treating the staff at an establishment first when walking in the door.

Always exemplary service from all staff. They are extremely courteous and I've been able to book appointments without a long wait. The Doctor is knowledgable and very patient - answers all questions. I highly recommend this place.

I was seen by a physician who is younger then the
other doctor. This doctor, berated me and said, I was
most likely going to have Severe medical issues.
Yes, Smoking is unhealthy, but, wasn, t ready to quit.
Incidently, I do not have bladder cancer. A doctor
does not intentionally scare patients, causing the
person to doubt if they are going to live or die. I am never, returning.

Do not come here if you are part of a the LGBTQ+ Community. The doctor did not "understand" and did not provide proper medical advice. Stay away!

This clinic is so clean and everyone is very friendly and helpful! By far one of the best clinics I've ever been too. I didn't even get a chance to sit in the waiting room, I went straight from the front desk to my appointment, so convenient!

They saw my grandson promptly on two occasions recently, great clinic.friendly & efficient, lovely clean medical office.

Today was my first time going to Galaxy, pristine spaces, front staff were great, doctor asked the right questions and within 45 minutes, I walked out with my prescription in hand.

Been going to this clinic for over a year now and every visit is nothing but great, never have to wait to long, dr and staff are nothing but caring and professional!

Both the front end staff and doctor were very friendly and personable. I had come in on a walk-in and was able to get in right away, as well, the free parking in front is an added bonus as people working or commuting through downtown can understand!

STAY AWAY! Would rate it ZERO STARS if I could! Worst experience ever! Doctors are suppose to help patients who come in sick & in pain seeking help NOT TURN them away! Refusing to Help! When he was very capable of doing so! No wonder why the doctor office was empty when we walked in! How can You call yourself a doctor! When you literally refuse to help someone who is in of your help! You should be ashamed of yourself! Couldn’t even have the decency to prescribe anything for the pain! Instead directed us out the door! Worst doctor ever!

The Wait time was quick, but the Doctor we saw for my grandson was arrogant and thought he knew everything.as well as poor bedside manners.

The front desk Dana is wonderful. That being said Dr. Mossab Shamaka does not know how to administer a regular prescription for an ADHD medication Foquest 35mg. He filled on triplicate prescription (I had to tell him it does not require triplicate xr) which expired before I could use it as their pharmacy did not have it in stock. To avoid paying a ded. Twice I asked if he could put 30 days on a normal xr. He said he could only do 2 weeks. Also untrue and then had the audacity to tell me I had filled it elsewhere and that I had told him that. He did not like it when I told him otherwise and kept talking over me, telling me i was wrong. Rude, does not listen and treated me like i has an ulterior motive. I’ve taken this medication for over a year. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!

I made an appointment with Dr. Shamaka after speaking to one of the receptionists - I SPECIFICALLY asked if there was a doctor who was able to show me how to inject hormones for my Gender transition. The receptionist assured me that Dr. Shamaka was able to, and had administered it to other patients before myself.

I arrived, to a kind front staff but the minute Dr. Shamaka arrived and realized what was being asked of him, his demeanor changed. He was very condescending, told me I didn’t know what I was doing by taking Hormones. I know exactly what I am doing, I understand the side affects as a DOCTOR explained them and prescribed this medication to BE TAKEN BY ME.

I immediately could tell he wasn’t going to comply or tell me straight to my face he didnt want to. I asked him to let me leave if that was the case, as its a waste of time for me to sit there and be passive-agressively berated by someone who thinks they know what I need better than I do.

He asked me to wait, and returned with the exact answer I knew I would get when I asked him if we were done and I could leave. No. And why? This doctor chooses to willfully ignore the reality that trans patients exist, require healthcare like every other person, and that he will have to treat them.

Dr. Shamaka is not only an unprofessional doctor, he is also prejudiced.
