I had GS epoxy my garage floor & it turned out amazing.what is more amazing is that they did the whole job in a day & there was virtually zero mess to cleanup.on top of that the price was very reasonable.so I couldn't be happier.thanks again Jas

There are several companies one can choose from for garage services but Garage strategies takes the lead.
I am more than pleased with the several jobs that Garage Strategies has done in my garage. Jas and Connor are great people to work with. Their professionalism, knowledge of their work, friendliness beats all else. I am the envy of my friends and family thanks to you my garage looks great. Keep it up guys.

Poor Logistics and Disrespect from Installers on site led to a poor score.

Onboarding/Site Assessment

I called the company to inquire about their product. Staff at the office are polite and responsive. I booked a site assessment where a staff member would visit the garage to take some measurements.

Manager Jazz appeared for the site assessment on time, the meeting was brief and efficient.

I received some follow up material about the rest of the process, and booked a time for flooring to be installed.

Customer Service

I dealt mainly with the office, and staff there present well. Reading material is straightforward enough, and expectations are set well before the installation date.

I was advised of a wait time, and of a cancellation list in the event that earlier times become available.

Unexpectedly I received a call from staff asking if I could accommodate a later date. I was not able to as I had to make plans in advance to prepare for the date I had. I understand why the inquiry was made, but I expect if I had to give up my own date to accommodate someone else that I’d be offered a better date in turn.

I note that the office opens at 10h00 and they book installation appointments starting at 08h00. I am aware that there’s nothing unusual about this. In the event that there’s an issue, customers will have to wait until the office opens to have further discussions.

Installation

I take issue with the Installer’s honesty.

I was provided a window from 08h00 to 08h30 to expect the Installers to arrive on site. I note the installers did not arrive until 09h30 at my door. I brought up the tardiness and the installer opened up his arms and replied “Well, we’re here. ”

The Installer went on to say that he was on site for 30 minutes and couldn’t find anyone to open the garage. I asked if the office did not provide my contact details with the Installer.

As he walked away I said an “I’m sorry would be nice”.

I received no apology from the Installer.

I question whether the Installer was even on site until 09h30. But with an attitude like that I have concerns about the effort or care in his work product.

I did raise this issue with the office, and staff were ready to apologize. I declined as this was not an issue that they caused. I was promptly referred to the manager, Jazz.

Jazz explained that the Installers were lost along the way. Yet Uber and Skip and even Jazz himself did not have any issues finding the address.

Jazz did offer to personally attend the site to have a conversation. But without much more left outstanding besides the quality of the work product, I appreciated the gesture and was unsure of what other purpose the visit could do. Jazz also apologized, and I declined as this was again not an issue that he caused.

I was told that the Installers had over 10 years of experience and produce Impeccable results. After that experience I think I conclude that Garage Strategies business is good, and these Installers are obviously something like their star players. I can’t expect anything else and the Installers behave the way they do at your door for a reason.

Work Product

No comment as more time is needed.

I think the work was completed professionally despite the challenges described.

The office contacted me to discuss what happened and to express a general commitment to review the situation to make future improvements. I learned that this was a family operated business with over 20 years of experience. Staff did make inquiries of what happened for the Installer, and informed me that they take responsibility for my bad experience.

The Installer did watch over the work site, and the office provided me with an update to let me know the job was done and that the Installer had moved on. Staff inquired if I still wished to have a meeting with Jas, but in light of the above I declined.

I am assured that the staff does not settle for less than the highest quality work product. In light of that, I revise my previous rating up from 1 star.

I had Garage Strategies install Hayley cabinets along with Slatwall and floor coating. We are extremely pleased with the finished product and highly recommend the Team! Thank you!
