We rented bear spray from here for 2 days. The folks who work here are professional and kind. The cost to rent the bear spray was reasonable and the guy also gave us a tutorial to make sure we know how to use it. We are very happy with our experience here.

Every visit has been pleasant and professional. I've had my skis serviced here and rented other gear. Always been treated fairly, prices are reasonable and they do great work.

Best place for a ski tune. Bit pricey - but to start the season out correctly - come here.

Easy to book and rent bikes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent quality bikes- they will provide a lock too if you need one and of course, helmets are included.

We had no idea how much fun biking through Canmore Bow River would be. This experience rivals the Lake Louise &Moraine day for sure. We are not an athletic family at all! Im short but they had the perfect ebike size for me. Other ebike rental places in Banff did not.
Triston patiently helped us understand where we should go, turn by turn.
Because of this, we got to experience riding through the trees, beside the river, and even got to see elk grazing along the trails. It was $30/hr for 2 hrs or 3hrs and up $90 (basically full day rental price).

Superb service! We rented 3 e-bikes for the day. We realized my daughter’s bike was not working properly, we were 6 km from the store. I called them and they were extremely nice and said they would delivered a new bike where we were. Ten minutes later they were there with a new bike like promised. To make it even better, they did not charge us for my daughter’s bike! We were so so impressed with the exceptional service! Would definitely recommend them. We loved the bike ride to Banff and back to Canmore. The ride was quite beautiful and easy with the e-bikes. Do not hesitate to rent bikes from GearUP, they are truly exceptional!

Rented bear spray for $10/day ($18 for two days) from here. They were brilliant - reassuring (my partner was v.sceptical of renting spray incase it had already been used and we'd run out at the crucial moment of impending death), knowledgeable, checking we were taking the spray for enough days that we needed for our plans, and gave us a full demo on how to use it (using an empty can) and WHEN to use it.

Highly recommend doing this rather than paying $50-70 for a spray can you can't take back on a flight with you.

Rarely write reviews but prompted by the first class service at Gear Up and so happy with the experience of riding Goat Creek Trail. One of the most memorable days we have had as a family (three teenagers) Michael and Neil were great in laying out the options, explaining what was ahead of us and equipping us with the right bikes. They couldn’t have been more professional or friendly. Thanks again fellas!

Rented skis here; staff was helpful and friendly, and it was easy and convenient. They also provide the option to pick up the evening before and return the morning after the rental date for no extra fee. Great alternative to renting at the resort!

A super friendly gear rental! It was very busy when I went to pick up my mountaineering boots but they handled it so well. Some people were helping people trying them on and others checking people out. Drop off was also quick and convenient. Would recommend for any rentals in Canmore!

Awesome shop. Got crampons for adventuring. Charged us for only two days even though we had them for three (didn't charge for day one as we rented them later in the day). Really friendly staff.

I've used this place in Canmore for the past 5 years, for both cross country and downhill (sport) ski rental. It's always the same story: top-notch equipment and a big inventory. Staff is quick to outfit my family and equally quick when returning the skis and taking payment. Good rates, smiling, friendly staff and quick service. Lucky for me- that's what I like.
