I dealt with Vern. I'm a struggling to put my thoughts into words. I have never dealt with a more straight forward and honest person.
I am comfortable to say he will only steer you in the direction that is best for you.

Awesome service, we purchased and had a fireplace installed. Dealing with Ajay was really good experience, his customer service was excellent! The installers where professional and did an amazing job! I would definitely recommend these guys! Thank you for the great service!

Clint from Gemco serviced our gas fireplace yesterday and did an amazing job. We'd recently moved into our house and it had appeared the fireplace might not have been serviced in some time and had dirty glass. Clint showed up exactly on time and was very professional. He did an amazing job of cleaning everything and touched up the paint. He was also able to clean up the glass on the front that we thought might be permanently stained. The fireplace now looks new again. Clint also left behind some extra cleaner and was great with providing advice. I'm glad we picked Gemco and will be using them again for our fireplace needs in the future.

We've used this company before when building our new house and they were fine, but their customer service has taken a turn for the worst.

I tried calling to get some information on a fireplace for our basement build. The associate on the phone kept putting me on hold. The first time they hung up and the second time they put me directly on hold for quite some time before hanging up yet again. I even left a message, but did not get a call back. I ended up calling and purchasing a gas fireplace from another company in the end.

It really seems like this company has been going downhill with their customer service as of late. There is so much competition in this space within our city, so my advice is to simply shop around and go with the company that offers the best service, because prices are roughly all the same.

As a small business owner, I would be disappointed if any of my staff treated a customer this way.

Gemco did a wonderful job servicing and cleaning our older gas fireplace. I would definitely use them for any future fireplace needs.

My wife emailed Gemco and several competitors with the same request. One yielded no response, and another asked us to make an unnecessary trip into the store…Vern at Gemco was easily the most eager to accommodate. Installers were quick and polite. I enthusiastically look forward to many winter evenings of drinking whiskey by a comforting fire while ignoring my wife and children.

The gentleman knew what I needed and had it ready for me when I arrived at Gemco. The showroom is meticulous and nicely laid out.

My fireplace insert was set into a stone fireplace built in 1936.
It fits perfectly and looks really nice.
The installer Dave really knew his job.

After sales service with Gerry was exemplary. He is a salesperson who knows his business.

Gemco came over to service our gas fireplace and did a great job. The tech went above and beyond what he needed to do.

Stopped in the other day to pick up some chimney parts for my wood stove. They only had half of what I needed, so after paying for the pieces, I asked the parts guy if he could suggest another place to find the rest of the parts I needed, he basically sluffed me off and said I don't know. I asked politely if there was someone else in the store he could ask, he said No. Pretty clear he was not interested in helping me. As a small business owner, would really be disappointed if one my staff treated a customer this way.

Ryan and the Gemco team are great. We’ve been through multiple renovations over the years and always come back to Gemco for fireplaces, chimneys, and any type of specialized/custom ducting work. They are always helpful, timely and awesome to work with. And their products are high quality. Definitely recommended!

I have been extremely satisfied with all my experiences in dealing with Gemco Fireplaces and Heating. I have purchased a variety of styles of fireplaces and found the quality of the product, the installation, and the service to be top notch. I also purchased a Napoleon BBQ, and after many years of multi-season usage, I am impressed with it’s performance. I give Gemco’s product line an A+!

Today Clint from Gemco came to our home to maintain and clean our gas fireplace. The unit was purchased from another company approx. 10 years ago but we were treated as though we bought the unit from Gemco last month. Clint called 10 mjns prior to arrival, and wore a mask due to covid. Service was outstanding. I highly recommend Gemco.

I have just received a fireplace maintenance. The technician wore a face mask for covid protection which I greatly appreciated. He called 15 minutes prior to coming and arrived at the house at the agreed upon time. He did an excellent job of cleaning and refreshing the fireplace and was very informative, he explained and showed me how to remove the glass in between servicing. He was respectful, kind and did an excellent job. Overall a five star rating for Clint. I have found Gemco to be an excellent company to deal with and highly recommend them.

I've been dealing with Ajay at Gemco for years - everything from A/C units, to fireplaces, to BBQs. He's been consistently my go to guy there and always delivers. Amazing price points on high end products. Everything I've purchased has stood the test of time! If you end up at Gemco, go see Ajay.

What more needs to be said. They had a part I needed. I bought it and it worked. No issues, good parking.

We came to Gemco to get information on replacing a old log set with a newer gas insert in our fireplace. We spoke to Gerry Loewen and he was very helpful with the information he provided us. He is very knowledgeable about the products he is selling. Also when Gerry came out to the house, prior to the installation of the gas insert, he was very helpful in checking out two other of my fireplaces. One being an electric one and the other an outside gas unit. The outside gas fireplace was not working at the time. Gerry took the time to look at it and was able to get it working again. I was very impressed with how he went out of his way to help us out. We love the new insert gas fireplace. It has made such a difference in the comfort of that room!

We worked with Gerry Loewen to get a gas insert for our main floor fireplace. Gerry was helpful throughout the process. Once the install started there were some questions about how to finish the brickwork around the insert. Gerry made a second trip to our house to come up with a plan to have some brick redone so the fireplace would look good when it was complete. Gerry spent some time working on the existing brick and then discussed the solution with installer Rob.

The fireplace looks great and you cannot tell that it was added last. The house was left clean and the brick work looks very nice. We expect to get a lot of use out of the fireplace! We will go back to Gerry for any future fireplace needs.

Highly recommend! Amazing job, My fireplace looks like new! I contacted GEMCO when the pilot light went off and we couldn’t turn it back on. The service provided was excellent.above and beyond my expectations! Not only did he fix the fireplace but he cleaned and repainted the inside! Thanks again!

Gemco has been one of major suppliers of sheet metal for decades. Ajay in particular is very responsive and helpful.

Hats off to Gemco fireplaces technician Guy Maynes a real master at what he does! Polite and efficient he left our real old fireplace looking like new and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. We are more then pleased with the quick service and the finished results. Many Thanks Job Well Done!

We have now purchased a second fireplace from this company based on our first interactions and subsequent excellent service. A company with great products and staff that are a total pleasure to deal with. Gemco offer the old style business ideals now missing in most modern day businesses where its money first service second. I can’t praise these guys highly enough and recommend them to all looking for a replacement or an upgrade in their heating requirements. Over the last 5 years, we have purchased 2 fireplaces and 2 furnaces from Gary Gould at Gemco. Gary was very helpful and professional and when we had any questions on installation or repairs, he was “Gary on the spot”. We would highly recommend Gemco and Gary. They are very professional from the front end staff to the people in the shop and warehouse.

Everyone at Gemco is exceptional. But Keli in the back office really knows how to get things done very quickly and efficiency. Even when we ask for the numbers way too early, she comes out shining! Thanks for making our corporate lives easier Keli!
