I recently purchased a 2023 coyote 180 slash jet boat Amy and Dan and the hole team went out of their way to make me feel comfortable dealing on my boat I would recommend going to GMT in Gibbons Ab before you make a decision about buying a new toy from anyone else

I typically don’t leave reviews unless someone has gone above and beyond to what they are getting paid to do.

Tracy definitely was more than accommodating with answering my questions and sending pictures. Very personable.

Charles was there the day I picked up the sled. He was very thorough and answered any questions I had. Also very personable.

Heather in finance and Michael service great experience also.

Overall I felt the dealership was top notch. I always judge a business on how everyone interacts with each other. Definitely lots of similes and laughter!

Tracy helped me buy my sled without stepping into the dealership. Things worked out smoothly and got it shipped to northern Alberta.

Called Martin Motorsports first yesterday to find out they had no sleds for sale, asked if they knew of any. Was told their system didn’t show anyone else’s inventory. Called Riverside right after same thing but even less friendly. Called Gibbons Motor Toys & was transferred to Amy. When I asked her the question I said she was going to laugh at me. She did, but not in the way the other dealers did. She took the time to talk & really listen to me & what I thought I wanted. She gave me 4 numbers that may have possibly had skidoos & I was going to call them. By time the call was over I had agreed to e-transfer her a deposit for a Neo next year. A few hours later she sent me some more info & said that the Neo might not be the sled I was really looking for. By this time I was so confused by mountain sleds, trail sleds, track lengths & paddle lengths that I told her I really didn’t know what was up or down. She texted me this morning & asked if Dad & I could come see her at 2 pm. She took both of us for a ride on a demo & let us drive it. She showed me why I didn’t want the Neo & helped me to see the right fit for us & our needs. In the end we ended up getting a skidoo that we can use THIS year & was affordable. It was a couple grand more than what I wanted to spend, but spending the lesser amount I would have been purchasing the wrong sled. I cannot believe that I ended up buying a skidoo today that I’m going to have use of this year. Like I said, I called the big city dealers who didn’t want my business & then met Amy (&Bailey) at Gibbons Motor Toys who gave me the absolute best customer service that I have ever received in my life. I know that Amy has a lot more knowledge to pass on as our relationship grows. Buying this skidoo here today (they bent over backwards to accommodate my needs for this year) was the easiest & most informative decision I have ever made. I cannot recommend Gibbons Motor Toys enough. If you want great customer service like you got in the 60’s or 80’s, give them a call!

I already wrote a review about my experience here when i first started the process with my atv purchase.
But now i recieved my purchase and i couldnt be happier. My sale-person was Amy. EXCEPTIONAL! Service. She did everything right. I was updated constantly on the status of my machine, informative, no pushy sales tactics, it was by far best place & person to by from.
The staff there are all super friendly and a total "family orientated" establishment. They loved watching my 6yr old cruise around sitting on things & causing mild-chaos.
Finance guy Vance, he's, awesome too. Never really like finance guys to be honest. But it was all straight up and forward, no bull - in and out done. No long drawn out process.
He had me out of the bldg and ready to go in no time.

Was looking for a new Defender, Amy was very responsive and managed to get me what I was looking in the shortest amount of time.

Upon arrival it was a easy, informative walk-through. Everyone was welcoming but not pushy.

After we left Amy and Justin were helpful in getting a couple minor issues resolved in a timely fashion.

Everyone was amazing to deal with! We are from BC and made the trip over to pickup our new boat. There were some adjustments needed to be made and the team stayed late on the Friday of a long weekend to make them! And then Brittney even came in on her day off to ensure we were good to go. I had an excellent experience with this dealer. Their customer service, service offering and personalized approach was far superior to the “big” dealers in Edmonton. I did some shopping at a few big dealers and I felt like I was just their next sales commission and they were pushy. It was the complete opposite at Gibbons Motor Toys. They were super personable, offered me the best price and stayed in regular contact. I’d highly recommend this dealer to anyone looking to buy, you won’t regret it.

Took our sled in for service. Josh Rumbolt did an excellent job from start to finish. Kept us informed and delivered as promised. Pleasure to deal with Josh.

The service manager is friendly, knowledgeable and polite.
Cost of repairs is very expensive there however. As a red seal licensed heavy duty technician, I encountered questionable troubleshooting practices in diagnosing my boat’s problems.
Given estimates were not honoured, simple issues were embellished and in my case large additional repair costs were added without consulting with me. This may be a result of some inexperienced service personnel trying to satisfy their employer more than a customer? Or now, in COVID times everybody use Covid as an excuse to jack prices up, needed or not? After extensive talking to the service manager, and service consultant, the price of the repairs was negotiated back, but not to the level of initial estimate which was in my opinion excessive to start with, but I approved and I agreed with. I recommend to any potential future customers to monitor the repairs as closely as possible and when given any estimate, question it and when agreed upon it, insist on honouring it.
Reasonable costs of repairs bring customers back. I know, I run a small business myself.

I deal with these people on a lower scale but they are very helpful to me.very friendly. I'd recommend this place to everyone looking for their toys or repairs and parts

Great place to buy your Toy. Ordered a new motor for my boat, when it came in I was actually between jobs, and they worked with my limited funds to allow me to make payments to pay off the balance, without having to finance it.

I have dealt with Gibbons Motor Toys, Salmon Arm, for at least the past 5 years. Most of my dealings involve parts and lubricant purchases for my boat. I have also had them do repair work. Either way Paul and Ed have always provided excellent service. What strikes me most about them is they always take time to talk to you and answer any questions you might have, that is uncommon these days it seems. There is no doubt in my mind these guys know their stuff. I once had a fiberglass issue with my boat that required another shop. Ed recommended another local business, which I took the boat to. The work was excellent. Paul, the Mercury tech, is a wealth of knowledge and skill. He is constantly upgrading his level of training, if you have a question about Mercury Marine products, he's the guy to talk to! I recently had to do a major and expensive upgrade to my boat. I did not hesitate to call these guys and give them the business. Highly recommend Gibbons Motor Toys!

I bought a dealer demo 21 Canam Defender Xmr and Brittany was my sales Rep. I did everything either over the phone or over text during covid times. Delivery was easy and went though machine and even did alterations to make sure the doors didn't rattle as they tend to do. I had an issue with a weak battery and management took care of it no questions. I spoke with service and parts all extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Small dealer big customer service. I'll be back.

I have been dealing with Gibbons Motor Toys for 2 years and have purchased a number of toys. Lately I've been looking for a boat. Friday, 17 July I looked at one and discussed taking it for a test drive on Monday which didn't happened and was later scheduled for Tue. Received a call shortly after saying another sales manager sold the boat. Very unprofessional in my personal opinion.

Dealt with Don Hunt at GMT. Hands down the best experience I've had buying anything. Was looking for a Renegade xxc 1000. My local dealer didn't return my calls so I reached out to Don and he was able to aquire one of the last remaining models in the country due to the pandemic. I was looking for a kingfisher 2425 boat. I did a great deal of research and I found that everything directed me to Gibbons Motor Toys in Alberta. I reached out to inquire about the boat and was put into contact with Dan Baugh. He provided me with new boat info and also advised me that he has a used one coming in very soon. I explained to him that I was in my 50s and disabled and more importantly I lived 3000 + kilometres away in a different province. After exchanging emails and conversations I felt I could put my trust in him to act in my behalf in ensuring the used boat I was buying was in good condition. The entire experience with him was exceptional. The boat was shipped to me. And when it arrived it was a thing of beauty. Every detail of the boat was just as described and any issues found with the boat were rectified prior to it being shipped to me. I highly recommend the dealership and Dan for peace of mind and honesty with your purchasing.

Bought a brand new 2020 skidoo here last weekend. The service was unreal and the entire process was very simple, wasn’t pressured into anything. They had my sled ready with a welcome sign which was cool! This was my first new sled and the simplicity of the purchase from Gibbons Motor Toys topped it off! Thanks Don for battling pricing and hooking a guy up with a wicked machine. (Very good communication throughout)

I purchased a new 2020 maverick Sport from Gibbons and dealt with Don and Todd they were both very professional and very good to deal with. Genuinely nice guys who wanted my business not in a high pressure type way but in a way that they worked with me to make a great deal on my new machine and they continue to stay in contact and help with anything I need. Took me a while to write a review. I bought a new extreme duty. The boat is amazing have had no issues. Spencer in sales was great to deal with. But I had a heater installed installed in the boat and that was a nightmare but after 3 months of messing around and shipping heater back and forth I did end up getting a refund. Spending over 65000 on a boat would have been good to at least get a full tank of fuel and oil at least. And after buying a boat at a place you would also think you would get a fair price on parts and oil stuff like that. Example called gibbons to get a drum of dfi oil price 2550. Called another place down the road no question 2150. Seems like sales department is very good but post sales service is not very good. They have good options on the boats they order in but I’m not sure if I would purchase another boat there again. I’m not trying to bad mouth them in anyway just trying to give my honest opinion.

Great place, great service, great people. Made buying a used sled hassle free and enjoyable. Got the sled home and found the bars were slightly bent which we had all over looked during an over view of the unit before loading it onto my truck. When I brought it up in conversation with Spencer a couple weeks after purchase, he and Todd decided to send me a new set of bars, grips and heating elements free of charge. Couldn't ask for better service all across the board from finance, sales and service department. Thanks again!

Just wanted to thank Dan and Gibbons Motors for the used kingfisher 2425 boat I recently bought. I was going to have a new boat built in NFLD and I ended up with a much better boat for the same amount of money, very happy.

Purchased a new Canam XMR 650 here - Don Hunt is the man, straight forward dealings and followed up with me weeks after purchase to make sure everything was good.

These guys are the best right from Spencer in sales Justin in service and Lisa in finance.iv come to them with very short dead lines and they have made room to get me in to work on my Merc so I could injoy my time on the water. I can't say Enuf good stuff about that place and people go try it for your self you won't be disappointed

Dan was very helpful and patient with us (first time boat owners!). Their scheduling method is really outstanding- we weren’t rushed with any of the process, no high pressure sales or given unnecessary information. It’s rare to find a company that takes a long time with just one customer to ensure everything is understood before they leave the premises. Just received my new boat with on the water delivery by Spencer Remple.the entire experience has been great. Knowledge staff, great support. Spencer took the time to go over every detail.

I have dealt with this business a couple of times. There is Can Am dealers between this dealership and where I live. I know the quad was purchased from this dealership and every time they are nothing short of exception in customer service. If I have to pay shipping it is worth the extra cost to deal with great people.

Was very happy with my purchase of a Skidoo Skandic 900 this summer. Phoned around comparing prices between dealerships and the salesmen here were very personable and beat everyone else’s prices over the phone. By the time I went into the dealership the sled I was looking at was already sold and the SWT was out of my budget. They not only matched the price of the WT model I wanted but beat the price for the inconvenience! I would give 5 stars but there was some minor mix ups with paperwork and one of the add ones that I got with the sled but everything was corrected.

Justin had got me to have my boat winterized in Salmon Arm as I live by the Shuswap Lake. I got very quick service for winterizing and an acid wash. The lake was hard on boats this year.
They did a great job with the wash, for the boat looked better than it has for some years. Great work guys.
I was treated very well and highly recommend their service.
