BE CAREFULL shop will keep your old parts that worked fine after replaceing with upgrades, and the reception lady well sorry but meh on friendliness. Try Wizard or Martin.

Came in yesterday to look at used boats, Wayne was very helpful and knowledgeable. We had no intention to buy, however the experience was so good, we ended up making a purchase, with no pressure. Dane was awesome with setting up financing, very quick and efficient. We look forward to picking the boat up in the spring, as it will be stored fully detailed and ready to go. This was our second transaction with Gilligans. Just like the first one the process was smooth, they did everything they could to get us our boat right on time.

Amazing customer service. Amazing people to deal with! The service is like no other. The amazing manager Wayne always available to call and he answers our questions. You can hear his family in the background alot of the time because sometimes you need something on the weekend. And he answer's after open hours with no hesitation he's there for all of us boat owners. I know personally you can't say that about anything other dealership! By fact MB are still the best quality!

RUN! Wayne Bruce is the definition of a salesman. As soon as he has received your money there is zero support or customer service from him. MB is a decent product but if you are looking for a new boat I would 100% steer to another dealer because he has left me hanging on multiple deficiencies. He won't return or answer a call.

We took our boat to Gilligans to have repairs done in September 2020. $5000 later we get our boat home in the spring of 2021 our boat will not run. We took our boat back to Gilligans to try and get things sorted out, every time we phoned "they had not got around to our boat" this went on for 3 weeks. We were told many stories from our boat was running to it never ran. We were told they fixed the throttle and when we picked it up we were then told it wasn't fixed and wouldn't go into gear. They also winterized our boat when we asked them to get it ready for spring and do an oild change we were informed we now had water in our oil which was a suprise to us as this had never been an issue in the past. At the end of the day we were 1 wk out from leaving for holidays and they told us to just come get the boat. Their mechanic had not showed up to work for a week and they had no one else to look after any of their work. Very frustrating to have our boat their for the amount of time have it sit without having the work completed to have it returned in a mess to then have to take it somewhere else on short notice and try to get it fixed a wk before we leave. Customer service is horrible, the service in the store is horrible Wayne wouldn't even look up from his phone when we picked up our boat. He has no idea what is going on in his service shop, just throws his hands in the air and says "i dont know"

Purchased a new 2021MB F22 Alpha from Gilligan's and I am very happy with the process. I made multiple trips to the show room before my purchase, was always welcomed and my questions answered. Wayne is very knowledgeable and there is no pressure to buy whatsoever. If your looking for a surf boat I would definitely recommend checking out MB. MB offers a really high quality boat without the sticker price of the other big brands. If your in the market for a boat I highly recommend checking out Gilligan's Boat Sales.

I responded to a Kijiji ad for a used Yamaha boat saying I was new to boating but liked Yamaha’s but wasn’t sure on financing terms. Also asked if boat was available to view. The response was use this interest rate and length of term to calculate, didn’t offer to have a call to discuss and didn’t say if boat was available to view. I responded that I figure they didn’t seem very interested in selling me the boat with the subsequent messaging more about justifying they answered my questions. Last msg from them was “Also, on road all day”, again justifying their poor service. A simple “I am on the road to day but if you like I can pull over for a call to discuss your interests” would have worked lol.

I don’t think I was being difficult expecting some effort on their part, I opened the door to be sold to and no one answered. Refuse to give my money to those that do not earn it.

Very different experience from Seca Surf + Marine and Martin Motorsport. As soon as I mentioned I was new to boating and looking for a used boat, sales at both places asked me lots of questions to help me figure out what type of boat would be best for my needs. Ended up buying a great boat from Seca Marine & Surf, from someone who is a real sales person!

I walked in asking about winterizing my boat and asked about possibly buy stuff there and hoping they would explain what needs to be done. Well he was rude told me they did winterizing here but would not explain how to do it or sell me required materials.
Also when I went to another place I found out his price was very high.

I would never recommend this place to anyone for any work on a boat.

WARNING TO ALL. Not trustworthy and won’t stand behind there word. Took boat in to get a drive plate replaced. From the few mechanics I spoke to it is a labour intensive job and was quoted at 6-7 hours. After being told the boat would be done on a Wednesday before the long weekend and confirming with them this would happen on the Friday morning went to pick it up and they had just started on it. Needless to say my boat was not done for my long weekend trip and I wasted an entire day waiting for them to hopefully have it done and ready for me. Once I did pick it up I asked the mechanic if he has ever done a drive plate. His answer was No. Then asked him if the block was removed to do the work like the invoice specified. And was confirm with multiple mechanics. Answer was No. There lack of owning responsibility and taking care of there mess up was embarrassing to say the least. Long storey short do not use giligans boat sales. The owner and gm miss the beat all together. If I could I would give them a zero rating.

Had issues with 2015 MB Sport, called and was told because July 1 fell during the week and all techs were gone< issue could be fixed over the phone but wasn't willing to help. Would not buy a bottle of boat wash here!

Had my boat stored all winter with Gilligan's. It was pulled out today and they ran it up, for the spring check up, the water wasn't circulating properly. They had it diagnosed and repaired in no time! They also delivered my boat all shined up and like brand new again!

Would like to comment on the awesome experience I had with buying my first surf boat from Gilligans Boat Sales in Airdrie. They were very informative and patience in showing me everything that I needed to know about surfing and the V-drive. The manager Wayne Bruce, was very fair on my trade-in and even better on the purchase price of the new purchase. I have been back for some minor repairs and service work, and it has been seamless, the customer service and care I have received is second to none. I will definitely buy my next boat from Gilligans Boat Sale in Airdrie.

As with everything boat related. It's last minute. Before the long weekend.the snow is coming. And we needed it done yesterday. Amazingly enough this team has ALWAYS pulled through! I also drive by 3 businesses that service boats just to get to these guys. Definitely recommend them to all of my friends. If it floats this is the place to go for help.

We were interested in a test drive of an MB boat. Lined up to meet with the guy at Pine Lake, 2 hours away from us. Through text he asked us our budget and what we were looking for. Answered his questions honestly and didn't hear anything back with respect to our answers. Come the morning of meeting, we send him a message asking for his location. He let us know that he cancelled the test ride. My wife and I both took the day off work, put the kids in camp to find out when we were 20 minutes away that it wasn't worth his time because of the budget we put. We could have discussed this if he felt it was a waste of his time instead of him wasting our time. We had a boat to trade in or sell, which would have given us more wiggle room in our budget. Our boat we own now is worth $65,000. Our budget was $80,000. The boat we were looking at was $118,000. Lots of wiggle room
LOTS! We said we didn't want new. But how many people go into dealerships saying they won't buy new and leave with a brand new sparkly vehicle?

Why set up a test drive, then not follow through. Then we talked to the owner and he said they don't offer test drives. But they did offer us one. And then cancelled without notice knowing we were 2 hours away.
The owner also said that the 2018 boat was way different than the model we were interested in- trying to justify why it was okay to no show to an appointment - to which we replied, we want to see the build product, talk about quality, boat features. We wanted MB, and being the only dealer in Alberta, obviously we were serious about the brand and wasting nobody's time. We wouldn't drive four hours and lose money taking the day off to waste anyone's time. But, hey, thanks for wasting our time. Having the rest of the day off gives me lots of time to write nice reviews.

Great place to deal with for service. Brought in my 1989 cabin cruiser for sterndrive replacement, gimbal bearing replacement, bellows replacement and a tune up.

They went above and beyond with their service, cleaned parts that were still good instead of trying to replace them (which they easily could have replaced and I wouldn't have been the wiser). Got the boat back to me in a very timely fashion and came in at an extremely reasonable price point.

I am very happy with the service I received and now this is my go to dealer. The rest of my family is already starting to bring their boats in. I will be bringing my new ski boat to them for service from now on as well.
