Such a positive welcoming atmosphere. I was comfortable the moment I walked in the doors. It was my first time getting the whole kit and caboodle waxed so I was nervous, but instantly at ease and chatted and laughed through my entire apt which was so quick and easy. Definitely going back and bringing everyone I know! They have so much knowledge and so many products to help and keep my kitty happy!

2020:
I wanted to give this place (as every place I review) a complete and honest review:
My first time here was a few weeks ago where I tried skin lightening with Dorinda 2 days in a row on my private areas and underarms (I was told I'dsee immediate change even hours after and especially more if i booked another session sooner and even days after once it had time to settle in.) I'm not used to showing my private parts so I was nervous BUT they make you feel super comfortable! You trust that people aren't gonna judge you. Mentally prepare yourself that this is a professional service. The business is very clean with a great aesthetic. My point deduction comes from spending almost $500 on lightening (everyone is different) but I and my pals saw no difference (if any~ very little supposedly). NOW. The grade I would have given back then I felt wouldn't be fair until I reached out to the owners about my disatisfaction (nothing can be resolved if you don't communicate) AND also I would have to try their sugaring because-by their name-this is their main thing!

For many of us confrontation can be scary, but I would not have felt good about leaving things as they were spending so much money. I was glad that after some back and forth we came to an amicable resolution. Honestly, I respect and appreciate that so much. You HAVE to give good credit to great customer service. Also it can ve nerve wracking to come back to a place where you've just ~complained~ BUT I appreciate the way they've treated me and if they'll have me I'll keep coming BECAUSE I tried sugaring for the first time today with Malinda: SHE. IS. AMAZING. Made me feel super comfortable. She is super friendly, attentive, and all around she did a great job sugaring my parts and I would say all around she's great with people. If you're curious about pain: it's not all that bad and honestly this seems like a method I can get behind! Thank you Malinda~

ALSO I really appreciate that they called me after I left to tell me they forgot to charge a certain discount so the difference they put into credit for me. I appreciate that because I dodnt check before I left. The emotions I would've felt if I got home and read the receipt back. Disaster averted. Customer service points right there.

I have gone here for over a year now and every service I have received has been excellent! It’s clean, bright, pretty, and all the front desk staff are so friendly. Meagan is so friendly and does such a wonderful job every time. I will be so happy to always come back!

Customer service was excellent & paid very close attention to detail making sure it’s perfect! Dorinda was amazing for my first time getting sugared …. I’ll definitely tell my friends about sugaring:)

I’ve had two sessions with Dorinda so far and she makes the vibe so comfortable it feels like I’ve been going there for years. Everyone is very friendly and always greet me with a warm smile. I had to cancel and reschedule my previous appointment due to an emergency, Dorinda and the front desk lady (sorry I didn’t catch your name!) were so understanding and polite. Also, their bathroom decor is really cute?

I recommend Meagan for sugaring. She made me feel really comfortable, it was very quick and almost pain free:) I will be returning for sure.

This was my first sugaring and professional Brazilian experience. My appointment with Meagan was amazing. She was very quick, making sure I was doing okay throughout, and very friendly. Having waxed myself twice before, I would definitely recommend skipping the wax altogether and definitely come here for sugaring. It doesn't remove the top layer of skin like waxing does and the first few days afterwards feel much more comfortable.

I LOVE it here! I was so timid and nervous about my appointments here but man Dorinda is such a sweetheart! She made the whole experience comfortable and made my nerves calm! I’ve had a total of 3 sessions with her and had just booked for my 4th! This establishment along with Dorinda is amazing! If I could I’d leave a 20/5 stars for y’all!

First time at this location, and had such a good experience. Morgan was super fast (10 minutes) and did a superb job. I’ve never been in and out of a Brazilian that quickly before. I will be back!

I’ve been here 4 or 5 times now and everytime has been a great experience! Camila is very knowledgeable and all of the staff are friendly. Shaving is such a pain and I used to get bad razor burn, constant ingrown hairs. I love not having to deal with that anymore. Highly recommend!

She is friendly and helpful. My referral forgot to mention my name and Sara offered avenues to retain the referral promotion.
She had no issue to quickly see what she could do for me and thus retained my clientship.

5 stars for Brazilian sugaring. I've had appointments with a number of the gals to fit in on short notice with my work schedule and they are all fantastic. Professional, friendly, exceptionally clean, running on schedule. Can't recommend them enough!

Always well taken care of when I come here. Have been frequenting this establishment for a couple of years now. Staff are always friendly and greet me kindly when I come in. Laurelei is my go to when I book and always makes me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my appointment. She is knowledgable and quick. Usually I am done within 10-15 minutes, depending on what I am there for. I recommend.

I had my second visit with Dorinda yesterday and had a great experience! I made an appointment in July for a special occasion and Dorinda did a great job making me comfortable and explaining everything.

She recommended giving it three tries and not shaving in between as it would reduce pain, something I wasn't told my first time in early 2020, and that was an absolute game changer! The second time was already only a fraction of the pain, and I expect it will just get better. She also did an amazing job of my brows the first visit, something I've never kept up with after a mediocre experience elsewhere.

The location is clean, everyone is friendly, they work fast, and I love how easy the booking system is.

I have been going here for a year now and every month I come its always a great experience. The front staff are always very friendly, their sugaring staff are also friendly, professional and do a great job and the place is spotless.

GimmiSomeSugar is the first and only place I've tried sugaring, so I cannot say much about prices or comparing value. However, what I can say is they are always client-centred: welcoming and kind and provide a comfortable environment. They are fast, and it's a much better option than regular waxing as it does not hurt, is fast, hygenic, and leaves the skin smooth longer and hair is gone for a much longer time. I have gone back 3x, and I plan to continue doing so.

This who experience was awesome! Cannot recommend this place enough and Maika was so professional! First time getting sugaring, but a regular waxer I am now obsessed with sugaring.

After having a bad experience sugaring that resulted in bleeding and skin tearing, I was SUPER hesitant to start again. I initially phoned Gimme some sugar and explained my situation. I had Morgan who is an absolute gem! She is very friendly, fast, and efficient. Morgan was also very understanding when I voiced my previous concerns. Hands down I will be going to see Morgan from now on! Thank you so much to the ladies for making my sugaring experience a better one:) you now have a forever customer. It has been a couple years now going to GimmerSomeSugar, of course with a period of absence due to COVID, but I couldn't repeat enough how professional, friendly, welcoming and skillful the staff are. I do have to give a personal shout-out to Laurelei whom I've been seeing for Brazilian waxes. Everyone makes you feel totally at ease when you walk into their rooms like you've known each other for years. They make the process super comfortable, easy, and are hyper aware of their clients to make sure you're feeling ok. And most importantly (for me) I leave aerodynamic, Bezos bald and feeling like a billion bucks to boot after my brazilian wax.
I have to give a special shout-out to Laurelei whom I adore seeing and chatting with - she's an incredible person with incredible skill! If you wanna feel Bezo's Billions Bucks amazing with your wax, I'd say come here.

The staff at GSS were so nice and professional. My booked staff member had a family emergency the day of my appointment and they called me well ahead to let me know and asked if I'd be comfortable with someone else from their team or prefer to rebook. 10/10 recommend them.:)

I have had my eyebrows waxed and threaded a number of times, at other businesses, without any issues. I've heard great things about sugaring so I booked an appointment with Gimme Some Sugar.

When I arrived the technician suggested I get them waxed instead because the outcome would be more precise. Trusting her judgement and my past experience I thought it would be fine. Turns out I would be leaving with two large cuts underneath my left eyebrow. The technician didn't think much of it and said I should just apply coconut oil. I did what she suggested and still ended up with two dark scars the morning after.

I immediately reached out to the business in hopes that they would rectify the matter. They were apologetic and stated that they would give me a full refund for the service. After following up a couple times via email I never received the refund or any other contact from management. Really disappointed with the service and how this matter was handled.

Had my eyebrows sugared by Morgan. She did a great job. The business is welcoming and very clean. I'll definitely be going back.

I had a lash lift and tint for the first time a few months ago by Malinda. It was a great experience! She explained each step as she was doing the treatment and was very friendly and made me feel 100% comfortable. In fact, all the staff I came in contact with were incredibly polite and welcoming. I'm going for another lash lift and tint at the end of this month. I think I'm hooked!

Morgan was AMAZING! I have seen some of the other girls there who are also really great but Morgan was so fast and professional and I’ll definitely be rebooking with her! She did a full sugar Brazilian on me. Usually I’m a bit tender and red after and I had literally nothing!

So I did some research about hard wax and sugaring on brazilian wax
It said sugaring hurts less so I went
I used to get regular wax and we all know how painful that is right? So I’ve been loving hard wax, so I expected something similar or slightly better
But I was close to my period, so I knew it might hurt more than regular session
But omg I do have an experience where I got strip wax right before my period, a lot worse than that
Plus the lady was pretty rough, which I didn’t mind. She would just open my legs, other technicians I had always asked me. I was okay with it but some people might not be so comfortable
Good experience i guess but never going back
Hard wax, for me, is the least painful way of getting your hair out

I genuinely look forward to coming in every couple of weeks and getting my sugaring done with Dorinda! She's good at making it quick and painless and is friendly while keeping it professional. I usually end up learning something new whenever I go for a brazilian!

I had the pleasure of seeing Laurelei M today for some body waxing and she was amazing. Made sure I was comfortable and made conversation with me the entire time. I love that this place actually does proper sugaring, with the balls of natural sugar mixture, rather than most places that claim to offer it but really only do waxing with sugar based waxes. It is very clean and the staff have always been pleasant. Laurelei has been my favorite. Great conversation and knows what she's doing.
