The kitchen and staff took care to get a brunch order placed for us even though we came in 5 minutes too late to do so—we were so thankful:) The food came quickly and was beyond delicious… and the staff were all extremely friendly and sweet, especially our server, Nour! Thank you Glass House Kitchen for such a sweet experience!:)
I've enjoyed eating here on many occasions brunch, breakfast, lunch, dinner, events etc. The food never disappoints and the drinks are fantastic. No matter what time of year you can't beat the atmosphere and views.
We had beautifully made cocktails and the atmosphere was magical. Our server Johanna was so attentive, welcoming, and overall made our experience here great. We’ll definitely be back!
Beautiful dining experience! Everything, the staff, good selection, quality, ambiance! Everything just perfect! The lemon meringue pie was the best I’ve had and Nour was fantastic and made our visit extra special
We visited the Glasshouse a couple of days ago and were served by Nour. She has served us many times before and we love the treatment she gives us. She remembers us and also the foods we enjoy and the little things we like (like no mayo on the bun and white vinegar for the salad). She makes the most excellent and expertly decorated lattes, Along with her excellent memory, she has a lovely smile and we always receive a warm greeting. Her thoughtfulness extends to the presentation of the food as well as she garnished my wife's Mexican Shrimp dish with a special little orange pansy. Great place to eat and a wonderful server. We'll be back for sure.
The service was really good, and the staff were quite friendly. One thing to note is that it can get pretty busy on weekends, so I recommend giving them a call ahead of time to secure a reservation.
The ambiance of Glass House is fantastic. It's bright, open, and has a refreshing airy feel. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a beautiful view of Lois Hole Provincial Park, making the meal even more enjoyable.
During our visit, we tried the Mushroom Benedict and the Sante Fe Chicken Bowl.
The Mushroom Benedict was a standout. The eggs were cooked to perfection, with a runny yolk that's just right. If you prefer your eggs more well-cooked, don't hesitate to let them know. The mushroom ragout added a burst of flavor that reminded me of a comforting homemade cream of mushroom soup. Surprisingly, the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering at all in this dish, which was a relief for someone like me who's not a big fan of truffle.
As for the Sante Fe Chicken Bowl, it was tasty as well. However, there was a slight hiccup with the serving bowl. It was a bit tricky to mix the salad due to the shallow bowl it was served in. I ended up needing to remove some of the lettuce to make enough space for mixing without spilling the ingredients everywhere.
Glass House Kitchen and Bar is definitely accessible and welcoming to everyone. They offer easy access for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and walkers. Just remember to inform them if you need a lower table, so they can accommodate your needs comfortably.
Overall, Glass House Kitchen and Bar is a great spot for brunch. The view, friendly service, and delicious dishes like the Mushroom Benedict make it a worthwhile visit.
My partner and I went for Father's Day brunch. Such a lovely atmosphere. Even though it was an overcast day, the dining room was bright and open. It left it feeling very spaced out despite the large crowd, which was very enjoyable. The service was wonderful, wait staff was attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent, with wonderful quality ingredients. I got the cheese toast, which had beautifully cooked scrambled eggs and cheese on fresh bread, with a side of greens. My husband had the special which was a pulled pork eggs Benedict. He said it was delicious.
The only downside was that I requested a "mi-no-sa" mocktail with my brunch, and unfortunately I was served alcohol. When mentioned to the wait staff, they gave me kind of a funny look and said it didn't smell like alcohol. She then confirmed with the bar that they had misread my order, and in fact, had served me alcohol. As someone in recovery, this error could have been very detrimental. The waitress was apologetic and got me a new drink. I must admit I was slightly off put by the waitress questioning me though.
My wife and I had our 10th wedding anniversary here at the GLASSHOUSE! The entire experience, from prepping.food tasting.meeting with Dana J (Manager) going over the fine details.decoration was just an amazing experience.we celebrated till 2AM and enjoyed every minute and hour of the event. The views are breathtaking, the team is like family:) they make sure the event is memorable and the best.
First time but will not be the last time visiting the Glasshouse. For a busy Father's day the service was attentive and friendly. Both meals were also well prepared with a beautiful presentation. Now that we have realized the quality of food, we certainly will be returning for a dinner. Great to have this Restaurant so close to home.
Should mention that the food only got a 4 because the meal I ordered was not my favorite style of eggs benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly as was my wifes meal.
My favourite summer outside patio! I eat here all year around, as the indoor restaurant with all the glass is beautiful. The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly. Luv this little hidden gem
It has been years since we visited the glasshouse. It has had various chefs over the years and we thought we'd pop in for happy hour and stay for dinner / live music. I think it's a really cool space - you're in a giant greenhouse overlooking Lois Hole Provincial Park. That said, it is rather large and temperature wise we all found it quite cold. Happy hour was from 3-5pm (25% off appetizers and maybe cocktails though I'm not drinking right now so I'm not sure). Live music started at 6pm and the performer was really good. Some great tunes, great voice and just the right volume so as to allow conversation but also create a great vibe. The appetizers were really good and I'm told the cocktails were quite good. In particular, the tuna tartare hit it out of the park. The wings, shrimp, and flatbread also got good reviews form our table. Unfortunately our entrees were not as good as the appetizers. Two in our party ordered the fish and chips and two ordered the clubhouse - not very original I know. The fish was cold and the fries were undercooked - I'd say almost raw even. The clubhouse was not what we expected. More of a grilled chicken burger than a traditional clubhouse and they were 'okay' - we had to hunt for the cheese and they could have used something to kick it up a bit, maybe a different type of mayo or sauce or some more salt or something as they were a little underwhelming. The dressing on the green salad also left something to be desired as it seemed like it was just dressed in olive oil - and a bitter olive oil at that. Inexcusable considering there is an oil and vinegar store right in the building! Service was pretty good considering the restaurant was pretty full and it appeared there were only two servers. They were friendly and efficient. Can't write this review without also mentioning the recommended tip percentages on the machine - 18%, 20%, and 25%. One of my biggest pet peeves - Having been a server for years, I find the minimum 18% presumptuous and greedy. Maybe I'm old school but one should not "expect" a tip, let alone suggest 18%. My starting point is usually 15% and go up from there for great service. I only go down from 15% in exceptional circumstances where things are really really bad.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is amazing and the service is quality! Nour is usually my server and she does a really wonderful job each time. The consistency and the quality is what keeps me coming back:)
We loveeee this place! Our server Tanisha gave us a bunch of great recommendations and everything was delicious! Absolutely love this gorgeous venue and service! Highly recommend!
I would like to thank the incredible staff at the Glasshouse for the most enjoyable, well presented Sunday brunch. Fresh quality ingredients are lovingly nurtured by Chef Brett in ways that only compliment the dish. This is a must if you would like a gourmet dining experience, fabulous friendly atmosphere at a price that is a true bargain. I would also like to give a shoutout to not only Chef Brett and Chef Archie but also to Chris, Bryce and Jesse! And on clean up. Eric.
It was my first time dining here. We ordered smoked salmon, avocado toast, and the berry french toast as dessert. They were all tasty, and personally I really really loved the berry french toast. Aside from the scrumptious food, I also like the set up that is high ceiling and the spacious floor area. Came here during winter and the ‘glass house’ is perfect! I was lucky to have witnessed the amazing view of the trees and terrain covered with snow flurries.
Will be back when I get the chance and will definitely recommend this restaurant!
Went to christmas cookie decorating and cocktail night through YEG date - everbrite. Johanna was our server and she was extremely friendly and had great food recommendations. She was a great server:) Food was phenomenal definitely will be back
We will definitely be back! A great atmosphere in a beautiful location, with great service. I asked our server, Shelby, what she’d recommend so I had the Carolina chicken sandwich, while my partner had the beef bourgignon. They were the most delicious things we’ve ever ate. 5 stars!
We are so happy to have chosen Glasshouse Kitchen and Bar for our wedding ceremony and reception! The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were extremely friendly. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a local venue with a modern greenhouse feel and local fresh tasting food.
Great place to spend time with good friends over an Anohka gin and delicious food pairings of Chef Doreen. The food is memorable and will make you want to keep coming back. Service was top notch. Perfect way to spend an evening. Can’t wait to do it again. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
It had been a few years since I had been here and I was reminded how nice it is. The food and service (thank you Nour) has always great. The burger was soooo good! Clearly top quality beef is used.
Glasshouse has always been a secret weapon for a great meal in a beautiful place, but getting Doreen Prei as their head chef is an absolute triumph. The staff are attentive, charming, well-timed. The food is noticeably elevated. Go!
Nour made my Sunday birthday brunch celebration a wonderful memory shared with my family and friend. She has exceptional timing during service, attention to detail and provides a great customer experience. The smoked salmon benny and espresso martini are a must try!
The Glasshouse Kitchen/Bar was an excellent experience with good food and service. I was impressed with Nour, our server, who was very efficient and made us feel very welcome.
We hosted our Mortgage Team from across Canada at the Glasshouse. The team had nothing but compliments about the venue, vibe, hospitality, food and sunset views. Thank you, we look forward to our next event with you!
I had a lovely experience of dining at the Glass House Kitchen and Bar along with 4 other members of my family on/around September 22/22. I even had the chance of meeting and being served by two top Staff members, Nour and Doreen, which we found quite warm and friendly! We spent approximately 2-3 hours there, being attended and served by Waitress, Nour. She was quite attentive, observant, communicated well, polite and cheerful. She was quite efficient, keen and energetic making us feel quite at home. Doreen was extraordinay in her lovely presentation, which kept our interest and undivided attention for several minutes. Overall, we look forward to dining there again soon!
The food was excellent! We ordered a series of appetizers and the favour combinations were amazing. Nour was our server and she was just great. Helpful with recommendations and attentive.
So nice in here! Came for the greenhouse attached and I was so pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant, with incredible ambiance and an extensive menu. The chicken gnocchi is so unique and tasty, and the atmosphere is great. Will definitely be back!
A few friends and I went for drinks and appetizers this afternoon and had a lovely time. Our server was great, the atmosphere was relaxing and the food was fantastic. And we heard there was live music on Fridays so we are keeping that in mind for the future. Thanks again!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad and the excellent service provided by Nour. Our lattes were exactly as we liked them (low fat & extra hot), so good that we each had 2! Delicious and amazing atmosphere!
Wow! What a beautiful place to spend an evening! I was there last Friday and the food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was so clean. And as an added bonus; the live music was so good! Just a great experience, I'll be returning for sure!
The food here is really good! I had the bison burger and the perogies, would recommend. There servers were nice but quite slow in between check-ins. Quality control could use some work as there was a hair in the sweet potato fries. Overall 3/5 experience.
The food was amazing and the servers were so nice. Nour who was my server was so kind and made sure i had everything I need. I will definitely be going back! They do not disappoint.
I visited on a Sunday in January on a cold day, just looking to have a bowl of soup and a cup of tea. The signs on the table said sit down and a server will come. No one came. It was brunch day, so no table service in the cafe area? Thanks for letting me sit there and wait and wait. Also, no soup? I am really not into overpriced brunch, and I was alone. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a cup of tea. I was showed the order, the sandwich was $12, for a premade sandwich in a plastic clamshell package, no side or salad! Plus she added on a dessert which I never ordered. At this point I am exasperated. Yes the sandwich was good, but I can go to the french cafe, Macarons downtown and have a sandwich with salad for cheaper. So disappointed, will never be back.
We had such a delicious lunch as a family, our little guy loved his kids burger and the kale salad was delicious! Thank you Nour for the fabulous service, we will be back!
Fresh menu and exceptional ambiance in the glass room! Had the farmers plate. It was wonderful. Save room for espresso, it's divine here. Great brunch spot.
We had brunch at this beautiful restaurant one cold wintry day a few weeks ago. We had brunch. It was the best restaurant meal we’ve had in a very long time. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles. Both are perfectly cooked with waffles crispy on the outside and soft inside and the chicken was tender and spiced perfectly so the savory and sweet was amazing. The French Toast was also a masterpiece of flavor. Both were beautifully presented. Can’t wait to go back.
Fantastic brunch place; so bright and beautiful! We all had a different dish and we all loved it! Our server Nour was lovely and so attentive! We can't wait to go back!
LOVE this place! Love the quality of the food, love the service, love the ambience. Thanks Chelsea for a wonderful Sunday brunch! We'll definitely be back.
Nour our server was great and the view was amazing on a snowy day seeing the country side. Plus the food was perfect and very fairly priced! Try their beer menu:)
My husband and I were married at the Glasshouse on Nov 6. It was perfect for our intimate setting. Food was deeelicious! Everything I asked of the coordinators happened right up to twinkle lights on the trees we stood under to say our vows. I could not have asked for a more perfect start to our new life as husband and wife. Debbie & Andre
Went for a company Christmas function the other night. Really neat atmosphere, food was fantastic & the service was top notch. Will be returning again in the near future!
We dined there this summer for the first time in several years, and enjoyed it sooo much that we have been there for dinner three times since the beginning of August. We also brought our staff one evening and they were able to provide great service and wonderful food even with large group of 14. The patio is great on a nice day and patio lights are a nice touch at night.the interior has also been updated with a modern rustic feel. So far, we have tried the variety slider trio, green goddess salad, ginger glazed salmon, spicy crispy cauliflower, and roasted half chicken.all so good! Going to spread this review because we think people need to experience the new chef at Glasshouse Kitchen for themselves.)
Had a wonderful dinner at the Glasshouse recently. The food was incredibly good and presentation was awesome too. Service was great as well. Definitely will return again!
Went there on Sunday August 29 for brunch place is lovely, unfortunately our server was probably on her first day there and was totally inexperienced, nice young lady but totally inexperienced, I had the farmer’s bowl which consisted of hash brown potatoes with poached eggs and sausage and bacon, the sausage was so spicy that it totally over powdered the entire meal, my wife had the chicken waffle and the chicken was so dry that she could not eat it, we received our food unfortunately my wife had to go back to the front to get cutlery for us to eat, also two tiny cups of regular coffee with no offer to refill was twelve bucks, unfortunately we will not be returning.
We came for the brunch menu and it did not disappoint. My friend has been wanting to take me for a while as he always raves about the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. The plates were designed beautifully and so colorful. The peach mimosas were fabulous. Could have drank those all day! Our waitress Amber was super friendly as well! Definitely want to go back to try more of the menu!
We visited this establishment that has been under new management to celebrate my birthday this week and we were very impressed with the food, the price and the venue overall. The Thu evening supper club special was outstanding including 6 large chicken tacos, 2 bowls of fries and 2 lemon tarts and we started with a couple of appies as well which were also delicious. We brought home the tacos we could not finish and our kids polished them off in no time! The service was efficient and friendly as well! We will definitely return to The Glass House and give them 5 stars!
We visited October 9. The food was fabulous and we loved the atmosphere. We highly recommend the spiced popcorn broccoli and dirty fries as appetizers as well as the hot cauliflower & chorizo dip. For mains, the Spiced Crispy Cauliflower and steak & frites were delicious. For a cocktail, the Friendmaker was fantastic. We are looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
What an incredible transformation! Enjoyed an amazing dinner last night - the food was delicious (highly recommend the salmon, gnocchi and they make a mean burger). The space is fantastic - a greenhouse atmosphere with high ceilings, that is warm and cozy. Can"t wait to go back!
Fantastic! I went for the grand opening and met the new owners Bill and Shannon who are very friendly and took awesome care of us. Both the food and drink menu have a variety of delicious options; everything I ate was perfect and I can't wait to try it all.
BOOM! Glasshouse is back in action and the food is awesome (I had the salmon last night). My wife and I are brining the kids for brunch, the next time we go. Love the open atmosphere.couple that with a proven chef = great experience.
Great place, excellent atmosphere, good Service, assortment on the menu and very good food. Excellent customer service. YES GO- I LOVED IT. THANKS GANG
We ordered a waffle for a kid.had to wait for 20 mins.and finally we got it after following up twice.there wea no fruits, nuts or mint as per the menu. In addition they charged full price for kids version.very poor service.the staff needs more training.
Glasshouse restaurant closed quite a while ago to be replaced by a food counter, leaving the old restaurant sitting area as a self serve cafeteria. The food is expensive, with minimal service. I purchased a vegetable panini for 9$ that could not be warmed up as they did not want to use the sandwich press for some unknown reason. Cold sandwich quickly lost it's appeal. Latté was good, cost another 7$. Long line to pay, with only 2 cash registers. I really miss the old restaurant, that had an amazing and original menu. Really hope someone takes the initiative to bring the concept back one day.
What a unique place! Had lunch here with friends and it was delicious. Stayed for a couple of lattes and did some shopping on the way out. They have a smaller selection of food but everything was delicious. This would be the perfect place to bring guests. I will definetly be back!
Food was delicious and coffee was excellent. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is really unique. I do wish there was a better selection to choose from though and would be nicer if the soup portion was bigger.
Went to this cafe due to a friends recommendation! Was disappointed that their hot menus are gone, my date and I were really excited to try out the burger selection, but was informed they were discontinued. The potato salad tasted like they’ve gone bad, however the waitress was very friendly and very nice about it and gave us a replacement, three star because the dining experience wasn’t as good as we expected, however hospitality from the workers were exceptional and the view and atmosphere were top notch. Overall a somewhat good experience
I had an egg salad sandwich that was very good. The only thing I didn't like was that the sandwich was already made and was sitting on the counter without any cover on it.
This place used to be great! I’m so sad with the changes that have been made, there is no longer a menu. It’s all just grab and go, like this kiosks in the airport. The coffee is still great, and if you come for the view at least that hasn’t changed!
