My server was very kind and did her job well. I was shocked at the prices when I saw the menu. Breakfast sandwich with coffee was $21. No sides, 1 egg, 2 pieces of bacon and a few avocado slices. I won't be back.
The burger was dry and tasteless. The Rueben sandwich was ok even though the sauerkraut didn't have alot of flavor. The side salad was rusty throughout though topped with fresh sliced radishes and cukes. Probably won't return on our next trip to Red Deer. The waiter was great though.
Glenn's is our favourite restaurant for breakfast, good menu selection, friendly staff, generous portions and reasonable prices. The tea selection is incredible and they are one of the few restaurants in Canada who actually know how to make tea properly
Probably the best customer service we've ever had. Everyone working here was super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, perfect visit. 10 out 10 will be back.
The best thing I could say about the food was they had saskatoon berry syrup. Food was very disappointing for how much it cost. Coffee wasn't hot. The service was the best part of my experience the waitress brought Coffee over all the time and was very good.
So I heard and seen alot of raving reviews. I decided to take the family here for a nice change of scenery. This place is dedfinately well kept and beautiful. The layout is phenomenal, and well thought out, with water fountains, greenery, just very astheticaly pleasing. The service, well, she tried. She wasn't sure about beverages, she didn't know prices of the buffet, she just wasn't very personable either. The food well, my wife ordered eggs benadict and the sauce tasted like fake plastic. The shredded hashbrowns were soggy and not crisp, not appealing at all. My burger was just blah, nothing to write home about that's for sure. I was impressed at the embience but unimpressed at everything else. We will continue trying new restaurants, maybe it was a one off but we won't be going back.
It was good the cookies were AMAZING ate about 3 dozen of those bad boys in one sitting. Still paying for it lmao. I do recommend for a lil tea stop but for meal wise I’d make the decision to go else where.
I regret to say that I have lived in Alberta most of my life and never been to Glen’s. It was amazing! The server was a very lovely lady with lots of knowledge and kindness. Something to be said for old school service and hospitality. The building had ornate features that I loved! Also the gift shop has so many amazing trinkets there is really something for everyone.
I eat breakfast out 1-2 times a week. I go to several establishments. Today was Glenn's "turn". My family joins me but doesn't eat.they just have coffee. Today my bill came up to $42! $50 with tip! For one breakfast, 2 coffees and a tea! Waaaaayyyyyy overpriced. And definitely not the best breakfast in town. Service was subpar. Will not be coming back
I had the beef barley soup and a bun it was delicious. The other three people I was with had breakfast they said it was good as well. They were quick with the coffee and offered refills frequently.
