I have gone to Global Physiotherapy a few times during the past few years when I have experienced pain that would not go away in spite of my efforts involving painkillers, exercises, stretches and anything else I considered. Each time, after a brief but thorough assessment, I received excellent treatments and recommendations, usually from Yvonne Keats, that had wonderful results. I would not hesitate to recommend Global Physiotherapy, as everyone involved with the organization has treated me with the highest possible level of respect and care.

After only two treatments I no longer have hip pain! Although I am active the pain in my hip has made working out, walking and getting in and out of the car challenging. Cindy worked her magic and recommended that we do IMS which has given me tremendous relief in the past. In two short session I feel a 90% improvement (last session today) and know that in a day I will be at 100%! I highly recommend Cindy and her team at Global Physiotherapy!

I must admit that I was somewhat apprehensive for my first appointment at Global Physio. I have been in pain for so many years and have had numerous treatments - none of which were effective. Ms. Keats made me feel relaxed and comfortable through her professional approach demonstrating her obvious knowledge and experience. I could not have been more pleased with the entire evaluation and treatment. I feel better already physically and mental from the years of exhausting pain. I so look forward to next weeks treatment.

Jeri Williams is an awesome physiotherapist. For years I had a sore shoulder. Last winter it got worse with shooting tingling and numbness down through my elbow and wrist and sometimes into my fingers. This affected my daily physical activities. My sleep was disrupted most nights from pain and discomfort. Over the years I had an acupuncturist and 2 different chiropractors work on my shoulder. They provided some pain relief but couldn’t fix the problems. My family doctor did nothing to help. Jeri’s treatments for my chronically sore shoulder last spring (April 2022) produced better results than I experienced with any other practitioner. After a few weeks of her treatments the pain was gone, the numbness and tingling disappeared, and my range of motion in the shoulder improved dramatically. I was able to fully return to my normal daily activities.
Because of the success with my shoulder I asked Jeri to work on the joints in my arthritic toes. The joints are still not 100% — Jeri can’t cure the arthritis — but she helped me reduce the pain and achieve a wider range of movement in them. Before Jeri worked on the toe joints the pain in them would often wake me up in the night. This had not happened again since she treated them.
During the shoulder and toe treatments I mentioned to Jeri that I could only lie on my back for a few minutes because I get numbness in one of my thighs after about 20 minutes. I did not ask her to treat this complaint — I only mentioned it because she had me lie on my back for some of the treatments. Jeri gave me a couple of simple exercises which I did for a few weeks. I no longer experience numbness in my thigh. I had previously mentioned the thigh numbness to other health practitioners who all seemed to ignore the information. I assumed that nothing could be done. Was I wrong!
Last week (Nov 2022) I pulled some muscles in my shoulder doing exercises in the gym. Today I asked Jeri to help me with it. I already feel some relief. She gave me some gentle exercises to work on until I see her again next week. I trust Jeri and highly recommend her to anyone with joint or muscle pain. Her fingers have worked magic for me.

Yvonne is a fantastic physiotherapist. She listens well and is thorough in her assessment. Her treatment plans are always great for rehabilitation.

Cindy and her team were able to get my daughter in for an assessment the day after partially tearing her achilleas and start rehab right away to get her back on the rugby field and ready for hockey. They have a great team.

Cindy, Lesa and team are above the rest, they are a group of professional lady’s that can treat the most advanced injuries. Try IMS if you haven’t, it was the only treatment to release my sciatica after 10 years of trying all other treatments. Highly recommended.

I contacted Yvonne Keats at Global Physiotherapy after experiencing stiffness and pain from osteoarthritis in my left hip and knee. She suggested using BFRT (blood flow restriction therapy) for my condition coupled with an excellent exercise and stretching program. After a few sessions, the BFRT had increased the strength in my hips and thighs and I was able to walk without pain and carry on with my gardening. Yvonne provided me with a detailed daily exercise program so that I can maintain my flexibility at home. I am very grateful to Yvonne for her professionalism, expertise and kind manner in treating my condition.

Every therapist is very knowledgeable and hardworking. They find the issues quickly and offer a great pathforward for recovery.

I took my 6 year old daughter to see Leasa after an injury on her right foot and ankle, Leasa is amazing, she was very patient, kind and an outstanding professional, with all of her knowledge we were able to get my daughter to recover and while enjoying the treatment she prescribed us to do at home as well. She is great dealing with kids which is a huge bonus!

I have had excellent results from the services provided. Over the past number of years, various issues, resulting from aging, were thoroughly investigated, explained, and treated. I can highly recommend Global Physio!

I went here after I was in a car accident. Saw Lisa for 16 sessions, who was phenomenal and extremely focused on ensuring that I got back to 100% as quickly as possible. Came here a few months later to deal with a recurring wrist injury. Extremely professional and flexible for working around my work schedule, and even direct bill my private health insurance! Would instantly recommend them to anyone looking for a physiotherapist. I will definitely be returning if I ever need physio in the future.

I went to Global Physio for TMJ 'locking', I couldn't open my mouth very wide and eating was extremely difficult and painful. Cindy was great, I worked with her for months to strengthen the muscles in my jaw so that I could eat without pain and improve how far I could open my jaw. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating as my initial visit was made as a bit of an emergency. I also was experiencing sciatica at the time and she helped me with that as well. I would highly recommend this clinic and their services.

I'm so thankful that I found Global Physiotherapy. Not only did they provide me with relief from my pain, which I have suffered with for far too long, but took the time to explain how it came about, where it started from and what I could do to prevent it from coming back. They are professional, respectful and genuinely care about their patients. I was shown and taught exercises at my appointment plus emailed instruction videos of same exercises which helped me tremendously! I had the good fortune to be referred to Leasa when I fell on an icy sidewalk in mid-January of this year. She was terrific, from the first appointment to the day I "graduated". Always attentive, always supportive, always kind and encouraging and most importantly incredibly good at what she does so that I can declare myself completely healed from my injury, which seemed like a very remote possibility in the early weeks after I fell. I hope I never see her again, except maybe on the running trails, but if I do, I won't hesitate to reach out to her.

I was recommended by my friend to come here because they were amazing. Well I was pretty sceptical until I met with Jeri! She is so professional and was able to help me go from in pain every day to having more good rather then bad days.

I went to Global Physiotherapy expecting excellent results and I was surprised to find my expectations were exceeded. I experienced improvement in pain relief and mobility during the first session. After a few visits, I found that movements I had avoided became enjoyable. Simple acts, such as reaching for a high shelf or tuning the car radio were no longer painful. My mobility and sleep improved, which made the rest of my waking hours easy rather than a struggle. The recommended exercises were slightly challenging at first, but they soon became so easy that they were fun.
Two elements were essential in this improvement: 1) Carlie Rompre's treatment and recommendations; and 2) following her instructions to the letter. Simply attending and nodding at the advice will not be enough; doing everything she suggests can bring wonderful results.
I hope everyone involved with the service can go to sleep smiling in the knowledge that they are relieving pain and improving people's lives. This has a huge ripple effect as happy people make others happy as well.

I’ve been a patient at Global Physiotherapy twice in the past few years. The staff are friendly and helpful, Therapist Carlie Romprie helped with my post-surgical recovery, & I am totally confident in her professional knowledge, advice and skill. I recommend this clinic to anyone who prefers a one on one approach in a private driving.

The only place I will go for physio! I have seen both Carlie and Jeri over the years and both of them are AMAZING. They both care so much about their patients and truly want you to get better. The ladies at the front are also amazing. They take the time to learn you name so that they can greet you by name every time you go in. Everyone at Global is amazing and I recommend Global to everyone I know who needs physio.

My experience at Global Physiotherapy has been excellent! After my car accident left me in a lot of pain I was able to get an appointment in fast with Cindy. She did a thorough assessment of my injuries and established a comprehensive treatment plan. She spends the whole time of your appointment with you. I have been to other physio therapy clinics and they often put electrodes on the area for stimulation and walk away.
My pain, mobility and tolerance for activity improved.
I also saw Charlotte about my concussion and she helped me improve most of the effects with special exercises and acupuncture.
I also have to mention Sue who is the friendly lady at the desk dealing with all the appointment making and taking care of the paperwork with insurance and such. They make it all look easy. I highly recommend this clinic, everybody is very knowledgeable and professional.

As a physiotherapist myself, I appreciated Cindy's excellent skills and ability to problem solve through a complex clinical problem.foot pain that originated from my back. I entered with pain that limited my walking to less than 50 metres and needing to wear footwear at all times. Three sessions later with Cindy I am back to exercising, walking up and down hills, and able to walk around the house barefoot, all painfree.

I would highly recommend Global Physiotherapy to anyone suffering from joint pain. After being diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left hip and knee, I was advised by my family doctor to get physiotherapy. After just a few sessions with Carlie the results were amazing! She is knowledgeable, professional kind and caring. She provided me with follow up exercises to strengthen my muscles and allow me to remain pain free. The atmosphere is efficient and welcoming with appointments, reminders and paperwork handled with ease, warmth and friendliness by Sue the receptionist. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience being treated at Global Physiotherapy.

Went to see Jeri for pelvic health issues and was completely impressed from the beginning to the end of my treatment course. She was personable and professional and made sure that I was comfortable with any procedure before proceeding. As for the therapy, I was sorry that I waited so long to go and see someone regarding stress incontinence. The exercises and program that Jeri prescribed have made a world of difference!

I've had lower back pain and SI joint pain for almost 3 years and it's something I just learned to live with. I went to Global for an unrelated issue in my shoulder/neck. They evaluated and diagnosed everything. The neck/shoulder issue was taken care of in a couple sessions, and the true bonus for me was addressing my chronic pain. I was doubtful they could do anything because I was told by other medical professionals that it was chronic. The laser treatment they used worked like a charm and within 3 weeks I was able to go from squatting 265 pounds up to 365 pounds and I went from leg pressing 540 pounds to 810 pounds. My massive performance increase was a direct result of their expert evaluation, physical adjustments, laser treatments, and provided mobility exercises. My strength was always there, I couldn't access it because of the pain I was in. Pain I thought was chronic, was completely eliminated by their expertise. They're truly amazing!

I have been coming here for all my aches and pains. Carlie is so good at relieving them, with her light therapy and IMS dry needling therapy. I definitely recommend her to anyone, she has fantastic bedside manner and cares about your wellbeing. A nice clean clinic with friendly staff!

I saw Jeri Williams for female issues. She was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She helped me solve my problems in less time than I thought possible and I am so appreciative of her help. I highly recommend her! Amazing service.

I had such a great experience at Global Physiotherapy. Jeri was exceptional and the key reason for my improvement. Not only is she an incredibly physiotherapist, but she is also kind and personable, and was very patient with me as I continually failed to do my exercises. I highly recommend seeking her assistance with your recovery process! The private rooms in the clinic also contribute to a comfortable and individualized experience.

Let's be realistic here. This place is laughable, and below amateur.at best. It has a treadmill and a bounce ball. There are exercise rooms 50 times the size with every piece of rehab equipment you can think of. Not here.
NO HOT TOWELS, NO ICE PACKS. 30 minute appointments are 18 minutes. There are places 10 times better than this physio "wanna- be". This place is embarrassing. The owners response to this review is invalid, since the douchebag owner has no idea who I am, how many times I went, or what type of injury I had. Your shortcomings greatly outweigh your response below, so you have to justify yourself by making up a douchebag story and convince people, who read reviews, that you don't like 1 star reviews. Would 2 stars make you feel better? Your ridicule is a figment of your imagination and inaccurate.but what a nice assumption of something that never happened.

Used Global for a rotator cuff injury and treatment provided me with instant relief and quite a substantial improvement in the range of motion. Yvonne provided a very thorough assessment and therapy to rehab the shoulder. Her treatment was very professional and a testament to her education and training. Would highly recommend them!

Went to Global a few times and Carlie totally fixed my seized muscle and pain. A mixture of IMS and giving me a good stretching regime did the trick. Easy to deal with and I'm back to 100%.

This was my first time going through physio therapy and I found both Global Physio and my therapist Carlie to be knowledgeable and helpful in all respects to the process.

In short, I have a had a lingering injury for over a year that began healing or feeling better after the first treatment.

Carlie obviously has a versed background in sports/sports therapy and did a great job explaining the situation and the process to get back to 100%. Seeing how you can only be there one or two times a week you need to manage a fair bit of the recovery on your own. I was impressed with the explanation of exercise (s) required, and the follow up emails ensuring you had the material at hand to do the exercises. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They also have good hours outside of the normal work day and are easy to deal with for bookings.

After suffering for months with severe, painful hip bursitis after a hip replacement, I went to see Carlie Rompre. I could barely walk and was about to head to Europe for three weeks.

Carlie quickly assessed my injury, worked on some treatments and exercises while I was there, and provided some excellent exercises to do at home between sessions.

I felt immediate relief from the pain and within a few weeks, I was able to
discontinue my pain medications and walk for miles with no discomfort. To me, it was like a miracle, and I give all the credit to Carlie.

Global Physiotherapy in Sherwood Park was amazing. They are one of the only offices I have seen that provide private treatment rooms. Carlie Rompre and the other staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The didn’t just focus on my pain area and elevated other issues existing and that cake up. I highly recommend them to anyone requiring Physiotherapy or who has an active life and experiencing some pain. I attribute my recover to this office and there expertise.
